Various Indy things.
Progress Wrestling from yesterday in Camden, London, before a sellout 700 fans (immediate sellout): Chris Ridgeway b Omari in the Natural Progression Series, Roy Johnson b Pastor William Eaver, Zack Sabre Jr. won three-way over Chris Brookes and Trent Seven by pinning Brookes in what was said to be a great match, Travis Banks b TK Cooper to retain the Progress title, Toni Storm b Chakara to keep the women's title, Mark Haskins & Jimmy Havoc b Danny Jones & Mark Andrews when Jones was pinned, Flash Morgan Webster b Doug Williams, Walter b Timothy Thatcher to keep the Atlas title in a match that people yesterday were raving to us about.
A funny deal at the show is that Trent Seven in his match was doing comedy about wanting to hurry up so he could catch his flight to the U.S. and be in the Rumble. Of course he wasn't scheduled, but he did that all night, including after his match, wheeling out his suitcase and rushing out in front of the people like he was rushing out. He later came back in five minutes later looking sad and said he had missed his uber.
AAW runs Saturday in LaSalle, IL at the Knights of Columbus with Rey Fenix vs. ACH for the AAW title, Jessicka Havok vs. Rosemary, Jeff Cobb vs. AR Fox, Penta 0M vs. Eddie Kingston, Sami Callihan vs. Matt Riddle, Trevor Lee vs. Shane Strickland and more.

The Dudleyz On Their Legacy In Wrestling, The 3D Getting Them Over, When They Finally Made It To WWE
As noted, WWE has announced The Dudley Boyz for the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame Class. Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley spoke with CBS Sports about the honor at this link. Below are highlights:
Bubba on their legacy:
"The legacy of the Dudley Boyz is really the last of the Mohicans. We are the last, legitimate, great tag team that you most likely will ever see; the most old school tag team that there is. I don't think you will ever see a tag team go on to accomplish what we have accomplished, whether that's in the WWE or any place else. We really are the last of many, many generations of great tag teams."
D-Von on when The Dudleys finally made it to WWE:
"Bubba and I clicked on so many levels when we got together and knew that we could hang with the big boys if we got the opportunity to go to WWE. When we did, we just went from there and were on fire. WWE and Mysterio have had off and on talks about a return over the last year, but the main bone of contention has been that WWE has wanted Mysterio back full-time while Mysterio, 43, would rather work a part-time schedule.
Mysterio appeared on the third season of Lucha Underground, but his deal with that series has expired. He has had talks with Impact Wrestling and at one point, a deal to debut at the last set of Impact tapings brokered by Konnan was so close that travel arrangements had been made before the conversations ended without a deal. Impact had been working on the idea of trying to get Mysterio to debut at their April tapings with the idea of debuting him at the 4/22 Redemption PPV.
Mysterio has also been training his son Dominick (the same boy who appeared during the Rey vs. Eddie Guerrero feud on Smackdown) for an in-ring return of late.

NEW JAPAN SELLS OUT RETURN TO UNITED STATES IN 20 MINUTES
Just twenty minutes after going on sale, New Japan Pro Wrestling’s “Strong
Style Evolved” event at the The Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California
on March 25th has sold out.
The event, which is slated to have a 4,700 death capacity, looks to have a Chris Jericho-Tetsuya Naito match as one of its top bouts.
The show is expected to be featured on AXS TV as well, possibly as a live broadcast.

Backstage News On Bobby Lashley Possibly Signing With WWE And Feuding With Brock Lesnar
Bobby Lashley is reportedly expected to sign with WWE imminently, according to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer noted that Lashley was negotiating with both NJPW and WWE, and is no longer negotiating with NJPW. He added that Lashley is going to WWE "almost for sure." Although he doesn't know if Lashley will appear in the Royal Rumble match tonight or answer Bobby Roode's open challenge, Lashley is contractually clear to start with WWE immediately. People in NJPW and Impact Wrestling believe that Lashley will start with WWE at any moment.
Meltzer also noted that Lashley may start a program with Brock Lesnar after WrestleMania or later this year. While Meltzer didn't mention it, Lesnar's WWE contract is expected to expire shortly after WrestleMania. He added that Lesnar is supposedly not aware of a possible program with Lashley, even though he's supposed to be told of his programs ahead of time.

EC3 DISCUSSES WWE RETURN AND MORE (talk about kissing the butts of WWE, lol)
EC3 did an interview with ESPN about his return to NXT.
The former Impact champion said his reemergence on WWE television after leaving the company in 2013 was, "vindication. The moment was resolution. I feel redeemed."
His journey coming back to the company:
"It's only been 1,714 days since the last time I stepped foot in the WWE -- but who's counting," EC3 said. "With each day that has passed, I've had one goal in mind -- and that was to be here, in this moment at this time for one purpose. Never once, without a shadow of a doubt, did I ever not believe in myself -- believe that I would come back. I came back with vigor and determination. I came back on a mission."
How he felt leading up to his on camera appearance in the crowd at last night's NXT Takeover: Philadelphia event:
"It was built up in my mind, how it would feel and what emotions I would feel," EC3 said. "But walking out there, standing out there, with the crowd recognizing who I am -- who I truly am -- and that I'm truly where I belong, it didn't feel anything but right."
How he will stack up with the other big-name talent in NXT:
"For years outside of the WWE, I've been saying one thing -- that I'm the best here, I'm the best there, I'm the best anywhere," EC3 said. Kenny Omega Talks His Ring Attire At Wrestle Kingdom, Reaction When Pitched Chris Jericho Match
Kenny Omega recently appeared on the Talk Is Jericho podcast to talk with Chris Jericho about their match at Wrestle Kingdom 12 earlier this month. Omega revealed that it was Don Callis who suggested that he should try and get the match with Jericho.
Omega said he was hoping to do something special at the Tokyo Dome this year, but he didn't have any ideas. Callis approached him with the proposition of going against Jericho, but Omega was understandably skeptical and was hesitant to reach out to Jericho.
"My reaction was a lot different than yours. He asked me what I thought about [Chris] Jericho and me at the Dome. At the time I was really desperate for something to do at the Dome and really wanted to make an impact," Omega said. "I said to him, 'Come on, please don't dangle a carrot in front of me. I really would need this type of match so please don't throw fantasy matches in front of me when I don't have anything right now.' I said that of course the match would be great but why would you bring that up? He said, 'No, I think he would want to do it,' and at the time I had no idea what your [Jericho] situation was and whether you would be interested, but if it was a possibility I would definitely want to do it. It was during the time I had done your podcast, so I had your information, but I was really afraid to contact you with the idea and didn't want to offend you about the idea; there's a process to these things. I know there is a business side to this, and even if you wanted to do it it's just not that easy so I said that if you wanted to do it I would do everything I could to make it happen. I didn't want to get my hopes up, but I was also afraid to contact you as well because I didn't want to look like a jacka**."
Omega held off on contacting Jericho, but Callis was adamant in his belief that Jericho would be open to the match. Omega finally mustered up the confidence to make it happen, and the rest is history. He made it clear to Jericho that NJPW is a great company to work with for special situations like this.
"Don contacted me and asked whether or not I had contacted Jericho. I said to him that I didn't and was wondering if Jericho was really serious about the match, and he responded that he was," Omega said. "I said, okay, let's do this then. I had finally contacted you and said to make this happen. I don't know what you need to make this happen, and whatever you need, you deserve it, let's make it happen. New Japan is weird sometimes with how they organize their business meetings but they were really cool about it."
One of the highlights from Omega's showdown with Jericho came before the match even started. Omega's elaborate entrance attire was eye-popping and sent fans into a frenzy before the bell rang. Omega explained his entrance gear, saying he wants to transition away from his "Cleaner" gimmick and establish himself as the "God of Pro-Wrestling."
"Lately I have been doing the 'God of Pro-Wrestling' thing, and changing my statement. I don't want to be the Cleaner anymore; I kind of want to ease into this 'change the world' thing. I had this idea where we have paid extras on the stage, kind of like an Egyptian garb. My idea was heavily influenced from the 1990's X-Men cartoon with Apocalypse where Apocalypse was the strongest mutant, and people looked at him as a god even though he wasn't, he was a super strong mutant, so that was why I wanted to go with the bluish colors," Omega said. "I'm a Stargate fan, so I came up with this Cyber Anubis mask with a raygun, and while people are doing their daily tasks on the video screens there are pyramids in the background and I appear and everyone is praying to the god of Wrestling. It's like century overload imagery with all of my best matches over the years and everyone stops what they are doing at the crosswalk and worshiping the God of Wrestling. It's a huge ego trip thing, it was just ridiculous but I thought it felt for our thing because I was starting to get sympathy as a babyface, but at the same time I wanted that chip on my shoulder where I was like, yes, have sympathy for me because I am your God, because I didn't want to go full babyface yet, and I did have clearance too, so I thought it would be really cool to go with the get up that I made. I had that meeting with everyone and they all thought it was a cool idea."
"My reaction was a lot different than yours. He asked me what I thought about [Chris] Jericho and me at the Dome. At the time I was really desperate for something to do at the Dome and really wanted to make an impact," Omega said. "I said to him, 'Come on, please don't dangle a carrot in front of me. I really would need this type of match so please don't throw fantasy matches in front of me when I don't have anything right now.' I said that of course the match would be great but why would you bring that up? He said, 'No, I think he would want to do it,' and at the time I had no idea what your [Jericho] situation was and whether you would be interested, but if it was a possibility I would definitely want to do it. It was during the time I had done your podcast, so I had your information, but I was really afraid to contact you with the idea and didn't want to offend you about the idea; there's a process to these things. I know there is a business side to this, and even if you wanted to do it it's just not that easy so I said that if you wanted to do it I would do everything I could to make it happen. I didn't want to get my hopes up, but I was also afraid to contact you as well because I didn't want to look like a jacka**."
Omega held off on contacting Jericho, but Callis was adamant in his belief that Jericho would be open to the match. Omega finally mustered up the confidence to make it happen, and the rest is history. He made it clear to Jericho that NJPW is a great company to work with for special situations like this.
"Don contacted me and asked whether or not I had contacted Jericho. I said to him that I didn't and was wondering if Jericho was really serious about the match, and he responded that he was," Omega said. "I said, okay, let's do this then. I had finally contacted you and said to make this happen. I don't know what you need to make this happen, and whatever you need, you deserve it, let's make it happen. New Japan is weird sometimes with how they organize their business meetings but they were really cool about it."
One of the highlights from Omega's showdown with Jericho came before the match even started. Omega's elaborate entrance attire was eye-popping and sent fans into a frenzy before the bell rang. Omega explained his entrance gear, saying he wants to transition away from his "Cleaner" gimmick and establish himself as the "God of Pro-Wrestling."
"Lately I have been doing the 'God of Pro-Wrestling' thing, and changing my statement. I don't want to be the Cleaner anymore; I kind of want to ease into this 'change the world' thing. I had this idea where we have paid extras on the stage, kind of like an Egyptian garb. My idea was heavily influenced from the 1990's X-Men cartoon with Apocalypse where Apocalypse was the strongest mutant, and people looked at him as a god even though he wasn't, he was a super strong mutant, so that was why I wanted to go with the bluish colors," Omega said. "I'm a Stargate fan, so I came up with this Cyber Anubis mask with a raygun, and while people are doing their daily tasks on the video screens there are pyramids in the background and I appear and everyone is praying to the god of Wrestling. It's like century overload imagery with all of my best matches over the years and everyone stops what they are doing at the crosswalk and worshiping the God of Wrestling. It's a huge ego trip thing, it was just ridiculous but I thought it felt for our thing because I was starting to get sympathy as a babyface, but at the same time I wanted that chip on my shoulder where I was like, yes, have sympathy for me because I am your God, because I didn't want to go full babyface yet, and I did have clearance too, so I thought it would be really cool to go with the get up that I made. I had that meeting with everyone and they all thought it was a cool idea."
Past Vince McMahon Sexual Assault Allegation Resurfaces Following XFL Announcement
Two top media outlets, The New York Daily News and The Daily Beast, ran stories on an 11-year-old sexual assault allegation against Vince McMahon. In January of 2006, a 22-year-old woman accused McMahon of trying to kiss and grope her at a tanning salon in Boca Raton, Florida, where she worked.
The Daily Beast first published the story, apparently over comments that McMahon made at this week's XFL press conference regarding not hiring players with a criminal record.
"We are evaluating a player based on many things, including the quality of human being they are," McMahon said. "If you have any sort of criminal record or commit a crime you aren't playing in this league."
The accuser claimed that McMahon, who was 60 at the time, asked her to take photos of him on the phone to send to his girlfriend in New York. After she gave him his phone back, he allegedly showed her nude and semi-nude photos of himself that were on it. She told him to stop, and said that McMahon tanned for 20 minutes before talking with a salon attendant and a customer. She said that as she was cleaning a tanning bed, McMahon came into the room, shut the door and then tried to kiss and grope her. She said that after she rejected him, he left the salon and went to his Hummer in the parking lot, where he waited for 20 minutes.
She went to a nearby Papa John's to get help and called the salon's manager, telling her that an "older gentlemen followed me into a room and tried to kiss me." The manager didn't want to get police involved.
A customer at the salon that day, Kelly McMahon (no relation), told the Associated Press at the time that she spoke to McMahon and that "he was nothing but a gentleman."
"He was nothing but a gentleman. He shook my hand three times," she said. "He showed no signs of coming on to [ the employee ]. He was talking to me. She was trying to interrupt our conversation."
McMahon denied the allegations through his attorney. The woman reported the incident to the police, however no charges were filed due to a lack of evidence.
"The filing standard for the state is above and beyond a reasonable doubt," a spokesperson for the Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office told The Daily Beast. "Prosecutors have to file at a higher standard, which is proof above a reasonable doubt. It's a much different standard than probable cause.
"A misdemeanor that is not done in the presence of a law enforcement officer in Florida generally is not a prosecutable case unless there is a independent witnesses and or physical evidence as in photos — that kind of thing."

Tommy Dreamer was surprised by his students and staff all arriving wearing House of Hardcore polo shirts, which added a new level of professionalism to the show. The students had the shirts designed and made on their own.

Shane Douglas On ECW Owing Him Money Almost Causing Him To Walk Out Of PPV Main Event
This week The Triple Threat Podcast featured a very special look back at the events leading up to and the night of ECW's Guilty As Charged 1999 pay per view featuring Taz defeating Shane Douglas for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. The significance of Taz's victory was ending the 406 title reign of The Franchise (who won the belt from Bam Bam Bigelow in November 1997) but the overall backstory of how the angle came together and the behind the scenes drama caused by the beginning of the financial issues ECW faced as they entered January 1999. Was he distracted by the money Paul Heyman/ECW owed him going into Guilty as Charged 99:
"Absolutely. How could it not? It had nothing to do with Taz (Pete Senercia) it had to do with me being around the business as long as I had and I knew what the score was. I knew what was going down and I knew what was happening. So when I got to the building that day...first of all I got there as late as I could and I sat in my car in the parking lot of the Millennium Center and just couldn't bring myself to get out of the car. There was a part of me that was fearful of going in there and losing my cool and grabbing Paul by his throat, there was a part of me that wanted to shove it up his ass as a result and I just couldn't get out of the car. I remember Axl Rotten (rest his heart) stopped by the car, Balls stopped by, Tammy and Chris (Candido) stopped by and I want to say maybe Lance Storm also stopped by and I remember multiple guys stopping by the car asking what was going on and if I was coming in.
"I finally just said f*ck it I'm not doing it. I knew I was getting screwed and I knew that with that belt could leverage it with one of the other companies to make back at least the money that I was owed and probably more and so I drove away and I went to a Friday's or a Bennigan's and I ordered a beer and I sat there and was looking at when flights were leaving when Bam called. We talked and I told him what was going on and brought him up to speed and gave him the nuts and bolts of it and he said that I've got to do what I've got to do but do you really want to screw the fans? (and) I've got to give him credit because he was exactly right and after I sat there and ordered a couple of shots and I thought about it as much as I knew I was getting screwed but even more so than me not deserving to get screwed the ECW fans didn't deserve to get screwed. For me to walk away and them have to strip me of the title and have a tournament and give it to Taz or whoever would have been the sh*ts for the belt and the sh*ts for the company and would have been the sh*ts for the fans and that was what ultimately made me decide to go back to the building."

I forget who it was but there was someone standing by the door and they put their arm up blocking off the other side of the building and said you guys have to all dress over here and just because that person said that and because I had a chip on my shoulder I thought f*ck you I am going to go exactly where you tell me I can't go. I pushed his arm out of the way and walked to the other side of the building where nobody was and opened up a dressing room door and there was a huge dressing room there all to myself. I walked in and short time after Francine came over and she knocked on the door (I had locked the door) and I told her that she wasn't welcome in there and I needed to take care of business from here myself and I closed the door and locked it. A few minutes later the door knocked again and I thought it was Franny coming back and I said Franny I told you your not dressing in here and I hear the voice say; "Well God damn Shane I thought I could come in?" and it was Terry Funk."

Impact Wrestling news (for whatever it's really worth at this point) My comments included
Eddie Edwards stated yesterday that Impact would remain his home "for the
foreseeable" future. His current deal expires in February.
Alberto el Patron's deal expires in March, but given that he is locked in to headline the 4/22 Redemption PPV, it would appear the two sides have come to terms on some sort of extension. Impact sources would not confirm that Patron has signed a new contract.
Impact will be filming a Moose vs. Alberto el Patron bout taking place this weekend for Future Stars of Wrestling in Las Vegas.
(hopefully it'll look better than the matches in Scott D'Amore's Border City Wrestling. The setting and lighting there looked atrocious at best.).
Bobby Lashley has been pulled from all scheduled Impact-related appearances. He is free and clear to go anywhere he wants as of 2/1. some have heard his next move is to concentrate on MMA fights, but one would think WWE would be interested.

Sean 'X-Pac' Waltman guested on "The Tomorrow Show with Keven Undergaro"
and discussed his appearance on Raw, his past heat with Ric Flair, his position
in the Wolfpack, how he could have gone further in his career and more!
Sean discusses 90s heat with Ric Flair & how Flair still brings it up.
"I've been that way though in the past though... When I was in WCW I was definitely like that a lot more…kind of cut throat a little bit. Just kind of like just like the way I was with Flair. Flair's still hot at me for slapping him…he came in the ring after the RAW thing... he mentioned twice about me slapping him… we had a segment on Nitro like after our big six-man and anyways you know, he’s a much better talker than me... when we were kind of squared off, Mean Gene was, ya know, holding the mic, so I kind of bowed up to him and we were on live TV, and when he shoved me like he wasn’t supposed to shove me, he wasn't supposed to put his hands on me, and when he did, I smacked the shit out of him… one nice—a good one… then he kind of chased me around a little bit and I just kind of just danced around him... '97, '96 something like that”
When asked what happened last week at RAW with Flair, Sean said, “He was putting me over too but he still had to bring up the 'hey you slapped me back in the day' and then once again he said it twice in the ring... ya the mic ya ya, and I was disrespectful, but honestly Kev at the time, that’s what I had to do. I had to be that way. If I wasn’t that way I would not have gotten where I was in that company at that time...it’s just how it was... They try to hold you down and you try to put them out of their misery that’s how it goes, Kev."

I was always, you know, 'we want to do this with you,' 'no, I want to do that.' In so many things... I wanted to do things my way. My way is the best way...
When asked if things would have been different had he acted differently, Sean responded,"I would have gone way further. Way further in some ways, at a certain point... I should have left my gun in the holster about 90 percent of the time...He [Vince] said, 'I know you know how to shoot. Now you can leave that thing in the holster.' And he was, it was 100 percent true...I'm passive aggressive and I used to let everybody, I used to just let shit pile up and then when I came back, I was, like, overcompensating and so everything, every time I thought someone was fucking with me... I guarantee I wasn't the worst person there."
On making it further up the ladder..."I would have had to have worked on a few things that I just didn't work on because I was really good at other things...talking, being a better talker...wouldn't have been that hard. It was just, I was just naturally gifted at other things."
Sean wouldn't bet against the XFL
"He's [Vince] about ready to shove it up everyone's ass, in short order, ya...Don't bet against it, that's all I can say. He's got two years to get this thing off the ground. When they fucking tried and failed before they did it in two months...it'll be plenty for Vince...He already said there's not going to be any crossover between this and WWE. No fucking wrestling announcers doing play by play, no, ya know cross-promote... I think it needs to be left something separate...I think he's going to have a hard time finding enough players that don't have anything on their record. You can't have a DUI playing in the XFL...the quality of your character is equally as important as the quality of the player....just don't want the PR nightmares...public relations-wise it's good not to have a bunch of fuck-ups on your team."

JERRY LAWLER DISCUSSES BEHIND THE SCENES OF RAW 25, CHANGES MADE BASED ON FAN REACTIONS IN NYC, THE PRESSURE ON HE AND JIM ROSS, GETTING IN TROUBLE FOR SAYING 'PUPPIES' AND MORE
On this week’s episode of ‘Dinner With The King,’ co-hosts Jerry “The King”
Lawler and Glenn Moore talk about last Monday’s Raw25
episode and The King’s involvement in the show. The King gives a behind the
scenes look about the live show from the Manhattan Center, including how the
show was changed on the fly.
Also, The King announced he will be on the commentary team for the Men’s Royal Rumble this Sunday. He will make an appearance on the pre-show too.
Here are some highlights from this week’s podcast:
Talking about the picture that was posted online that appeared to show King and JR sleeping at the commentary table:
"Our monitors were small and they were down at the lower part of the desk. This picture was taken during a commercial break. The headsets were a little different. I don’t know what the deal was with the chairs, but they were not comfortable, they were not the chairs that were ordinarily used. So during the show, while we were doing the commentary, in order to see the monitor right, I would have to sit up straight and almost lean forward to be able to watch the monitor.
So then, when a commercial break came, I would take that opportunity to kind of sit back and really, just sort of stretch my back. JR was texting. I don’t know how he does it. JR multitasks. He’ll be texting while he’s doing the broadcast, so that’s what he was doing. Throughout the entire show, he did a lot of texting or maybe tweeting. I did a little bit myself.
But anyway, somebody catches that one particular shot and then they put it out on the internet and man, it was all over the place… I know JR was really sensitive to it. It upset JR because that just wasn’t the case. I mean, good gosh, nobody went to sleep during the broadcast of the 25th anniversary of Monday Night Raw.”
Chemistry with JR during Raw25 broadcast:
"There was actually a lot of pressure. I know JR and I could just feel it. It didn’t feel comfortable because there was just so much going on that you didn’t have a lot of preparation time. We didn’t get to spend a lot of time with our crew that was going to be working with just JR and I.
The monitors in front of us, they did a lot of things, like you saw the old IcoPro sign they brought back. I guess they couldn’t bring back the old school monitors like we used to use 25 years ago, but what they did, they found these old school monitor cases, and they sat those in front of JR and I, and inside those cases were small monitors that we had to watch the show on.
It was tough getting everything done in a short time to try and make that show what everyone expected it to be. I thought, all in all, I was certainly pleased with our part. I just wish we’d been able to do a bit more, but other than that, I thought it went off well.
A lot had changed in that chemistry between JR and I and all of the sudden you’re under the gun to make it just seem like it did 25 years ago in an instant and that’s hard to do. I certainly don’t think it was bad, but I think if JR and I continued to work together and do shows a little more often, it would be right back to where we were from the get-go.”
HHH making changes to Manhattan Center portion of show on the fly due to upset crowd:
"I think at first, some fans realized ‘We’re not going to get to see in person a lot of these people that had been advertised,’ when someone is at the Barclays Center and they started showing all these different guys. They started to complain and feel uncomfortable and everything.
I’m not sure, but I think Triple H is the guy who made a call over there and said ‘Hey, we’ve got to give these people more over here.’ So what they started doing, they started sending some of the superstars that were primarily, originally just booked to be at the Barclays Center, they started sending them, putting them in a car service or limos and sending them over to the Manhattan Center. So by the end of the night, the people at the Manhattan Center got to see a ton of the superstars.”
Getting in trouble for saying 'puppies’:
"I didn’t ask anybody at all and I told JR right before the commercial break, right before I said it, I said ‘Hey, I’m going to say “I’m waiting for the puppies,” and I think it would probably be good if you ‘d just say “Don’t start that,” or something, because I really wanted to give JR deniability and protect him in case there was some kind of repercussion. So sure enough, I said ‘Hey JR, I’m waiting for puppies,” and just like that, there were no girls on the screen. I just said the word ‘Puppies,’ and JR, of course, he did it just right. He said ‘Don’t start that.’ Then immediately, I heard in my ear, they said ‘King, they asked to stay away from the “puppies” comments.’ So, that was my one and only time to say ‘Puppies,’ but at least I did say it.”

ROH ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO UPCOMING TV TAPING PLANS, NEW COMPETITORS IN WOMEN OF HONOR TITLE TOURNAMENT

Ring of Honor announced the following:
Due to a change in production requirements, the upcoming ROH event in Concord, NC on Friday, February 9 will now present “Honor Reigns Supreme,” while the following night in Atlanta will now host “Saturday Night at Center Stage” International TV Taping.
Matches previously announced for Honor Reigns Supreme will now take place in Concord while Atlanta’s event will produce ROH TV leading up to the ROH 16th Anniversary Pay-Per-View.
Honor Reigns Supreme in Concord will now feature Bullet Club members “The American Nightmare” Cody, Marty Scurll, and ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion Adam Page vs. The Kingdom. By checking social media in the past few days, you would see that things have heated up, specifically between Cody and Kingdom kingpin, Matt Taven, turning this match into a must-see chapter of a heated rivalry.
Concord, NC will also play host to a red-hot Jay Lethal taking on “The Octopus” Jonathan Gresham. Lethal has been on a tear recently, including a huge win over Marty Scurll at Final Battle. He has made it clear that the ROH World Championship is his priority, but Gresham is now a roadblock, and an upset win for “The Octopus” would be career-changing.
Saturday Night At Center Stage in Atlanta will feature a ROH World Television Championship match with “The Last Real Man” Silas Young defending against the former champion Kenny King. Although Young won the championship on the big stage of Final Battle, this match was contested under Four Corners Elimination rules. Kenny King will now get his straight up, one on one opportunity to earn back this prestigious title.
Fans in Atlanta will also witness a huge tag team match featuring two teams that have their eyes set on the ROH World Tag Team Championships. Mark and Jay Briscoe, who are on the run of their lives coming off of a career-defining win against Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer at Final Battle, will battle Best Friends (Chuckie T. and Beretta), a team that have quickly won over Honor Nation and are now looking for that signature ROH victory.

WHY WWE CHOSE TO RELEASE ENZO AMORE
Since World Wrestling Entertainment announced yesterday that Enzo Amore was
being released from the company in the wake of claims from a woman in Arizona
that Amore had allegedly raped her in October 2017, many wrestling sites have received a number of
emails asking if the firing was due to an internal belief within WWE that Amore
was guilty of the accusations. That is not the case.
WWE's standard protocol in these situations (as seen in the recent Rich Swann suspension) is to suspend a talent indefinitely when they have been arrested and then, if the charges are dropped, bring them back. If the talent is convicted, they are immediately terminated. Amore has not been charged with anything by the Phoenix Police Department and in checking with them yesterday and today, there have been no developments in their investigation that mean an arrest is pending.
People speaking to a number of WWE sources last night and this morning, were told that WWE management was completely unaware of the allegations and the criminal investigation into the October 2017 Phoenix incident until members of the media reached out Monday afternoon after it broke on Twitter. The company was in the middle of putting together Raw 25 plans and had already locked their plans in, including Goldust vs. Enzo in hour three from Brooklyn.
When the company learned of the allegations on Twitter, we are told that Amore was approached and asked about them. According to numerous sources, while Amore denied the allegations were true, he acknowledged that he knew about the investigation. From WWE's perspective, we are told by sources, the fact that Amore had been aware of the criminal investigation, yet failed to inform WWE management about, led to his immediate suspension and expulsion from the Barclays Center.
[ After posting the original story, other sources and wrestling sites were made aware that the Fightful.com website initially broke yesterday that Enzo had not made WWE aware of the situation.]
With WWE being a publicly traded company that promotes primarily to families and children, we are told that management was angry that Amore, who they had built the entire 205 Live brand around in recent months, had knowingly put them into a position where, on a major media day, they had to react to inquiries over one of their champions involved in what could only be described as horrible, heinous accusations. One source noted that the only way the timing could have been worse would been for WWE to have been blindsided by this on Wrestlemania weekend.
The decision to terminate Amore the next day was again, not a belief internally that Amore was guilty, but a determination that Amore failing to inform the company was, as several people described it, "the last straw" for Amore within the company.
It isn't news that Amore had been an controversial figure behind the scenes, something that was openly talked about in his recent WWE Network interview with Corey Graves. Sources indicated that there had been a number of issues previously with Amore's behind the scenes conduct, including the company being unhappy that he had gone on social media to mock Big Cass' legitimate injury when he hadn't been instructed to do so last year as well as the well-known situation in Europe where he was thrown off a tour bus for, allegedly, being loud and not letting talents sleep in the middle of the night even after he was asked repeatedly to quiet down. Within the company, among the wrestlers, Amore had been one of the least liked members of the locker room, often dressing and traveling on his own.
In the end, WWE sources have stated, there were too many instances of problems in recent months that were already building against Amore. His decision to not come to the company about criminal allegations that are obviously extremely serious and horrible, while knowing about them for months, was the watershed moment that led to them finally terminating him

The release comes after Enzo was accused of rape earlier this week. WWE suspended him on Monday, noting that they have zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault. Things must have changed between that announcement and today as he has been released.

I'll give you a list. WWE- Bad gimmicks that suck, scripted promos that like the gimmicks, are 'cookie cutter', the level of no selling there is atrocious at best. And every time I've tried to watch it I get a headache that reminds me why I stopped watching it in the first place. Impact Wrestling- They can't book logicly from one week to the next. Nothing makes any sense and this goes back to when Jeff Jarrett was brought back (and fired again). It's been the same thing. different bookers but the same kind of inconsistent booking that they obviously for some reason, can't see or don't want to see. WCW at its worst was still better than this crap and this is your number TWO or THREE promotion in the United States? Oh and dare I mention the frigging world title they still have that's basicly a GFW title with an IMPACT plate slapped across the middle, with the GFW plates still on the side(Picture enclosed).
D'Amore putting over his really sad looking indy group on a 'major' federation's show isn't helping matters either. In some ways D'Amore is doing exactly what Jarrett was doing. What's next. Anthem Sports going to buy Border City Wrestling? . ROH- Some talents I like some I don't alot more high spots than really necessary and same with WWE, the no selling alot of times is really atrocious. I hope this answer helps.

AWA Supreme in Madison, Indiana, WWA in Kentucky, AMW in Kentucky and Fight Pro Wrestling in Maryland. While it's a fantasy to get to the UK, Absolute Wrestling or Defiant Wrestling at like York Hall or O2 Arena because that atmosphere (along with the fact it's a product not geared for kids) reminds me alot of the old ECW in many ways.
Didn't you once go to a rival promoter's show while working for a wrestling company? I vaguely remember hearing that from some guys 'you know' I work with.

Oh and dare I mention the frigging world title they still have that's basicly a GFW title with an IMPACT plate slapped across the middle, with the GFW plates still on the side(Picture enclosed).

AWA Supreme in Madison, Indiana, WWA in Kentucky, AMW in Kentucky and Fight Pro Wrestling in Maryland. While it's a fantasy to get to the UK, Absolute Wrestling or Defiant Wrestling at like York Hall or O2 Arena because that atmosphere (along with the fact it's a product not geared for kids) reminds me alot of the old ECW in many ways.
Didn't you once go to a rival promoter's show while working for a wrestling company? I vaguely remember hearing that from some guys 'you know' I work with.
