Sin Cara Requests Release From WWE

Sin Cara announced that he has asked for a WWE release:

In the Twitter post. Cara noted that while he appreciated his time in WWE, he asked for a release yesterday as he does not feel valued as a talent and athlete.  He stated that he worked hard for the company and has waited for an opportunity to come, but feels that the opportunity will never come as long as he remains where he is.

Cara, real name Jorge Arias, 42, is the second performer to perform under as the Cara character for WWE, replacing the original talent.   Formerly known as Hunico and Incognito, he signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2009 after wrestling for AAA in Mexico and elsewhere.

Cara as three years remaining on his current WWE deal.

The word making the rounds among WWE talents is that Cara, who is close with Alberto el Patron, has interest in going to work for MMA promotion Combates America, which features a number of pro wrestlers.

He remains on the ongoing UK tour and has not left to return to the United States.

A number of talents, including Luke Harper and Mike Kanellis, have publicly asked for releases over the last year but remain with the company.
