AEW President and CEO Tony Khan spoke with the media in a post-show scrum. He spoke on Double or Nothing as well as other topics.
When Khan was asked about his recent promo where he took shots at WWE President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan, this was his response.
“I thought it would be a good promo, and so it made sense".
Well as most saw and spoke on after seeing it. It WASN'T a good promo. It actually showed why Khan should really refrain from doing any kind of promos, period. It was awful at best and didn't get over anything he was trying to accomplish.
If anything it showed he's an over sensitive little boy stuck in a man's body who can't accept the fact he's just a money mark 'playing' wrestling owner and doing an awfully bad job at playing the part.
Tony Khan was specifically addressing a report about WWE and NJPW having talks with one another on a possible working relationship. Khan explains why he chose to cut the promo.
“I talked to New Japan, and I asked them if they thought it would be a good idea for a good promo and they thought it was great".
Yeah sure they did. Prove it. Show us that conversation where they said it would be great for you, to go on camera and look like a complete idiot doing a promo that didn't get you, your company or anything else for that matter over. Let's see that proof Tonypoo. I'll wait. And I'll be waiting a long time for it, I bet.
I call bullshit on that claim and now that I'm calling Khan to prove it. You know he's not gonna, because simply? he can't. He has none. He just made that response up.
Too bad nobody in AEW has the balls to tell the boss that it'd actually be a GOOD idea if he kept his mouth shut, and stay off camera.
But as everyone knows, nobody in AEW, HAS them kind of balls.
You can see this lame shit Tony did, right here.
