It looks like Gave wants Evolve to be 'more like WWE' Ugh, why.. WWE's product is so lame in so many ways.

ESPN published an article on Sami Callihan finding success outside of WWE. Callihan said about a match he had with Apollo Crews on NXT TV in September of 2015: "I remember before the match Apollo goes, 'do you tonight. If we get in trouble I'll take the blame. I remember getting pulled to the back from HHH and he was like, 'where has this guy been for the last year'. I kinda had to bite my tongue, but lucky enough people like Norman Smiley and Billy Gunn straight up came up to him and was like, 'this is the guy that's been main eventing a lot of your house shows against Finn Balor and Kevin Owens and having killer matches, but then it comes to TV and you book him like a jobber.

I remember going to a WWF House show in Durham, NH (Whitmore Center), He was facing Ron Simmons who was wearing the ugly Blue outfit(another blunder from 'creative'). Hopper comes to the ring and sees me second row ringside and what was I wearing? A Smokey Mountain Wrestling shirt. He smiled and gave me a 'thumbs up' my friends who were with me all marked out on that. Was able to meet him, Sunny and Tracy Smothers after the show and got to talk SMW with them(which was interesting since SMW was never played on tv in New England, LOL).

Bet McMahon didn't appreciate this, lol.

Talk about the irony. :)

Liked him as part of Decay in Impact Wrestling.

As noted, former TNA Tag Team Champion Crazzy Steve left Impact Wrestling earlier this year after WWE reportedly showed interest in him. Steve attended the WWE tryouts this past June, however Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio this week that WWE ended up not signing him.
