David Lagana Resigns As NWA VP Due To Sexual Assault Allegations, NWA Production Temporarily Halted

The NWA has announced that David Lagana has resigned as Vice President following sexual assault allegations made by indie wrestler Liz Savage.

Liz joined others in speaking out in the "#SpeakingOut" campaign rocking the pro wrestling world right now, and said the incidents with Lagana are a big reason why she took time away from the business.

She captioned the statement on Twitter and wrote, "Well here's my #SpeakingOut which happened when I moved to California for wrestling. Essentially this was a big part of why I took my hiatus."

While Lagana is still quiet on the matter, the NWA announced today that Lagana has resigned as Vice President. It was also noted that production of all NWA content will be temporarily halted until executive management positions are re-filled.

"Pursuant to allegations made by pro wrestler Liz Savage on her Twitter account, 6/18/2020, NWA VP David Lagana has resigned his position, effective immediately. As well all production of NWA content is temporarily halted, pending a restructuring of executive management positions," the NWA tweeted.

More Allegations Come, And More Actions Being Taken

WWE has released Jack Gallagher. Gallagher was accused today of getting a woman drunk at a 2014 New Year's Eve Party, making advances and when she pushed him off, he held on which led to her skirt ripping and then she left the party.

AEW announced Jimmy Havoc would be going into treatment and counseling regarding mental health and substance abuse issues and the company is evaluating his status and will make a decision regarding him after completion of the program.

Alex Shane is no longer with WrestleTalk after allegations came out that he took Polaroids of encounters with a 15-year-old and other girls and showed those photos around. The 15-year-old later committed suicide and her sister said it was not exclusively due to what Shane did but thinks it was part of her ordeal. Shane released a statement denying the allegations, but resigned.
Former referee Kris Levin claimed that Anthem has been investigating allegations against Impact executives. This is based on a claim of sexual harassment of a former talent.

Vicky Haskins (wife of ROH’s Mark) has alleged that legendary British wrestling promoter Brian Dixon got a photographer to take upskirt photos of her, unbeknown to her, at a show in 2011, back when she was pregnant. She claims she was told the photos were for Brian’s ‘collection’.

AEW ISSUES STATEMENT ON JIMMY HAVOC ALLEGATIONS, IMPACT ALSO RELEASES A STATEMENT ABOUT THEIR TALENT

AEW has released a statement saying they will evaluate Jimmy Havoc's status with the company as he undergoes treatment following allegations of rape and assault.

The company released the following statement:

We wish Jimmy Havoc all the best as he receives treatment and counseling in an effort to overcome the mental health and substance abuse challenges in his life. We are aware of various reports related to Jimmy. We are evaluating his status with our company and will address it when he has successfully completed his rehabilitation.

A woman who had a previous relationship with Havoc wrote regarding her experiences with Havoc, detailing a verbally abusive relationship from an unstable Havoc. She followed with another story detailing a rape allegation from another woman, who wrote that Havoc raped her after repeatedly saying no while both shared a bed.

An assault allegation came from a man who said that Havoc punched him in the face after a PROGRESS Wrestling event.

Impact Wrestling's parent company Anthem Sports & Entertainment released a statement Friday in response to sexual abuse allegations against several of its talents.

"It is a core value of the Anthem organization that we conduct our business with respect and integrity, providing a safe and secure work environment for our employees and performers. We are following carefully the various allegations being made through social media, and are reviewing all incidents involving Impact Wrestling talent and personnel to determine an appropriate course of action."

The allegations are against Dave Crist, Joey Ryan, and Michael Elgin:

A wrestler named Ziggy Haim tweeted that after she met Crist, she was sent unwanted photos but was blown off because she was only 20 and Crist did that to everybody. She added that Crist said he had feelings for her even thought he had a girlfriend. She later retweeted several other stories about Crist shared with her by other women. One school announced they are ending their affiliation with Crist's school.

A wrestler named Corinne Mink tweeted that she picked Ryan up at the airport for a show and he groped her breasts and thigh, attempting to get Mink to his hotel room after kissing her. She said she told the promoter about the incident, was apologized to, and told they wouldn't book him again only to rebook him 18 months later.

Female wrestler Kaitlin Diemond tweeted that Elgin, under a different name, sent her an unwanted picture of his genitals in addition to emails and other messages in 2016. She said he didn't acknowledge he sent her anything after she confronted him, but the messages stopped at that point.

The allegations come as the pro wrestling world continues to deal with the fallout of the #SpeakingOut movement in which women are telling their stories about harassment. Neither of the three men have publicly commented about the allegations.
