NJPW TAKING 'DISCIPLINARY ACTION' AGAINST TAMA TONGA
New Japan has taken disciplinary action against Tama Tonga following what they are calling 'inappropriate conduct'.
NJPW’s official English site released a statement this morning saying “NJPW takes actions taken by our wrestlers seriously. In light of recent inappropriate conduct by Tama Tonga including SNS usage, the company has decided to take disciplinary actions against said wrestlers, and will issue updated guidelines to all wrestlers.”
Tama Tonga has been making waves on social media, specifically Twitter, since splitting from the Bullet Club and forming his own faction with the Guerillas of Destiny and Bad Luck Fale, including trading barbs with the likes of Roman Reigns. He was recently suspended from the service for a short period of time. Reasons for the suspension were not made clear, but tweets insulting fans using profane language have since been deleted. There was also an incident on a recent G1 card where he grabbed a fan by the throat after a match.
His most recent tweet was a video posted on August 5 where he was shown littering in a public area.

Virgil Asks Interviewer for More Money & Gets Fed up with Everyone (funny as hell)
Virgil (aka Vincent in WCW) was not comfortable with how the hosts of this shoot interview were conducting things. Remember this is a very old shoot and it was not a big deal at all really, he went to finish the interview with no problems after this point. Still, it's funny to watch Virgil ask for more money and get mad at the shoot interviews hosts. And rightfully so, you could tell things could have been more prepared. But in any event, much respect to Virgil this isn't mean to trash him or anything. The audio clip has been on YT for years so we're only releasing it (in full context) for historical purposes. And no, this was not conducted by Title Match - we only licensed the footage.
MATT RIDDLE INJURED IN EVOLVE HARDCORE MATCH
Former EVOLVE Champion Matt Riddle, who is expected to debut with WWE at the Takeover: Brooklyn event, suffered an injury during his hardcore match against Shane Strickland over the weekend in Philadelphia, PA.
According to an Instagram post made by Riddle's mother (which included a nasty photo of the injury), the former UFC fighter had the skin ripped off the tip of his finger due a deep cut suffered during a spot with a chair in the match.
Riddle's mother noted, "Matt wrestled an intense hardcore match that involved tables, ladders and chairs. The first chair clip took the tip of his pointer finger off
Blood within the first few minutes got the kids attention for sure. He explained to them today that he was going to wrestle hard, and it was going to be intense to watch. They smiled and said they couldn’t wait to see. It did rock them a little. Watching Dad get carried off like he did was not easy. Thankfully Fred got the wink he did at them on video! When he showed them how Dad gave them a wink as he was getting taken out they felt better.”
Riddle, who dropped the EVOLVE title in that bout, wrestled the next day against Austin Theory in Melrose, MA but has been pulled from some independent bookings since the injury.
Things about the "All In" Show in September.
Based on the announced lineup of the "All In" event thus far, it would appear Kenny Omega vs. Pentagon Jr. is the next headline bout to be announced. At one point in the planning of the event, Omega vs. Rey Mysterio was on the drawing board.
The WGN America broadcast of "All In: Zero Hour" will feature The Briscoes vs. Scorpio Sky & Kazarian and the competitor Man "Over Budget Battle Royal" featuring Colt Cabana, Moose, Rocky Romero, Jordynne Grace, Ethan Page and more to be announced.
Pro Wrestling Tees will be the presenting sponsor of the WGN broadcast and will be presenting the Flip Gordon All In Pre-Show party:
