A backstage fan incident happened at last week’s AEW Dynamite taping from the UBS Arena in Long Island, NY. As security for the arena reportedly allowed a fan backstage, who was posing as an extra, according to Fightful Select. Things didn't go well as the man was quickly exposed for not belonging there. But nonetheless, the fan made his way into the locker room, and took a seat in a spot reserved for AAA World Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood.
The fan was informed that he had taken Harwood’s seat. He then apologized and said he was an extra, but then moved into a seat that had belonged to The Blade. (Taking another wrestler's seat IS, a 'major no-no' and anybody who's in the business KNOWS THIS).
People in the locker room figured out the 'fan' wasn't part of the show and that the fan's claims were all bullshit. They began questioning the man, who was now applying Jeff Hardy-style armbands. When asked who trained him, the man named Jeff, but that was a red flag as he does not train other wrestlers. It’s since been confirmed that Jeff did not train the man.
Furthermore, the man could not correctly identify who would have booked him for extra work, citing the name of a person who does not do that job.
Word is that Harwood and MJF quickly ejected the man from the locker room, and took him to a person who indicated that the same fan had been kicked out of the AEW Dynamite taping at the Agganis Arena in Boston back on October 27.
The man also claimed to be a friend of Taz, which was “clearly not true,” according to a source.
There is said to be no heat on AEW security because this wasn’t their responsibility as much as it was the UBS Arena security.
Well someone should answer for it because what's to stop anyone else form ;'just walking on in' now.
This kind of lax security and the fact this story is now out sends a very bad message.

Jeff Hardy will be hitting the road for an acoustic concert tour.
The ex-WWE star has announced a series of acoustic music performances, paired with meet-and-greets. The tour begins Thursday, December 16 in Milwaukee, and will have eight dates in total. Tickets for the shows are available here. https://www.leopresents.com/
Hardy will play December 17 in Rosemont, Illinois, December 18 in Rockford Illinois, and December 19 in Des Moines, Iowa. The tour will continue in January with dates in Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota on January 13, 14, 15 and 16.
WWE sent Hardy home after a house show in Edinburg, Texas on December 4. The company then announced his release on December 9 after he refused to go to rehab at WWE's request. During a Twitch stream on Monday night, brother Matt Hardy said that WWE had drug tested Jeff following the incident in Edinburg, but that he was sure the test would come back clean. (We'll see about that, won't we).
“For his sake, I hope that happens. You want people in this industry to stay employed and prosper and to be successful at whatever levels they are able to achieve,” Bischoff mentioned. “But what are you going to do with all that talent? ‘Let’s build the biggest roster in the history of wrestling?’ Is that the goal? Is that the end game? To be able to brag about how deep your talent roster is? If it is, I guess AEW is on its way to achieving that goal, but what do you do with that talent?
“You look at the shows and let’s be honest about it — I’m not being critical, I like AEW and I want AEW to prosper. But let’s be honest about where AEW is, they drew 872,000 viewers this past Wednesday night. That’s what they were doing a year ago. I’ve done shows with AEW that have done more than they did last Wednesday, and the talent roster is stacked with great talent, phenomenal talent but where’s the audience for it? It’s not working. 872,000 viewers on their A show? That’s not exciting. The numbers are the numbers, and this is a number AEW was doing a year ago, two years ago. It’s weird, and now you’re going to stack even more talent on top of it? What are you going to do with them?”
Eric Bischoff continued to talk about Johnny Gargano and revealed that he isn’t too familiar with the NXT legend. Bischoff also stated that NXT is comparable to a Triple-A baseball team and that watching something like that doesn’t intrigue him at all.
“If I did, I don’t remember them,” Bischoff said. “Not a reflection on Johnny. I doubt I did because I probably watched maybe 15 minutes of NXT. It’s just not my thing, there’s nothing about it that I find interesting or compelling. It’s a farm team, it’s Triple-A baseball and I’m not a big enough fan to enjoy watching the professional wrestling version of Triple-A baseball consistently. If I hear about something going on, if there’s somebody I’m interested in, absolutely, I’ll drop in.”
Along with Johnny Gargano, NXT is also expected to be losing former Undisputed Era member Kyle O’Reilly. AEW superstar Adam Cole spoke about what it would mean for him to have O’Reilly join AEW and see his old rival Gargano become All Elite.
