•A fan in the front row was hit in the face with the top of the announce table after Sami Zayn threw it off on SmackDown last night.

Just like PWInsider, Wrestlinginc and ProWrestling.net had to do, NOW The Observer is playing catch up to me. :)

Just like I said they all would because I, was the one who posted the NWA video first, LAST NIGHT! Makes you wonder how many at those other sites came here and saw it first before they had to catch up to me. :)

This picture is from the F4/WON webpage's daily update for today. So proof in what I said that al the others would have to play catch up to me? Was proven correct. :)

Backstage News On Taryn Terrell's Impact Wrestling Release..

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
As noted, former TNA Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell has left TNA and was removed from the Fatal 4-Way Knockouts Championship match at Bound for Glory this Sunday. The match now features GFW Knockouts Champion Sienna defending her title against Allie and Gail Kim. The explanation given on commentary was that doctors would not clear Terrell after she was slapped by Kim.

Terrell had just returned to the company this past August at Destination X. Her previous stint with the company lasted from 2012 until January of 2016. During a media conference call last week, Josh Mathews addressed her short stint with the company.

"Taryn's deal wasn't a short deal, it's just that some things happened," Mathews said. "The release was requested and given, it wasn't a three week contract or anything like that. I always tell my wife that there's different rules for different players, so I don't know the ins and outs of every contract of every person that steps foot onto our television. I know a few of them - a majority of them - but as it relates to the people you want around or are building around for the long term, then yeah, you should have a long term contract. I'm not saying that those people don't, I think that they do. I can only speak to my contract, and it's quite lengthy."

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reason she was granted her release is because she can't get into Canada. The company for now is doing all of their tapings in Canada, which made it impossible for them to use her, similar to what happened with Jim Cornette. Meltzer noted that the split was said to be amicable on both sides.

More proof I beat the 'big names' of wrestling sites on the NWA video :) ...

Wrestlinginc posted this though I had this up last night, and I said last night they'd be playing catch up to me. :) Nice to see what I said? Plays out to be so true. :)

It seems that McMahon doesn't understand much these days, Ryback On Vince McMahon McMahon Thinking He Was Fat, Vince Not Understanding His Entrance...

Source: The Art of Wrestling
Ryback recently was a guest on The Art of Wrestling podcast with Colt Cabana and discussed his working relationship with Vince McMahon. Ryback said the WWE chairman had issues with both his physique and his entrance.

Ryback has wrestled in a singlet throughout his career and sees it as his trademark look. He took some inspiration from Rob Van Dam for the design of his attire. He said it was McMahon's decision to have him in wrestle in a singlet because he thought he was overweight.
"Its' funny because [Vince] was the one that put me in a singlet because he thought I was fat at one point. I have never been fat at any point in my career but this was a real thing. Word had gotten back to me that I needed to lose 30 lbs, and this was right before I debuted as Ryback, he said. "I was in trunks, but they put me in a black singlet, which made me look like a black Big Show. I thought to myself that I had to do something with this, so I got a hold of RVD and asked him if It was cool that I airbrushed my singlet because I had to do something. I had done this the week before and everybody was like, oh that looks good, so I thought, OK, this is going to work.

Ryback became so synonymous with his singlet that when the WWE tried to change his attire and have him wear trunks, he refused. Multiple WWE officials argued with him backstage, and he eventually had to have a conversation with McMahon himself. Ryback was allowed to continue wearing his singlet, but the argument accelerated the end of his run with the WWE.

"I responded back that it wasn't happening, and that he can talk to me if he wants to, but I'm wearing my singlet. I'm in control, I'm not wearing trunks. So, afterwards I started not to trust anything that was going on. Finally, everyone was pissed off so I went to the back and talked to Vince McMahon and said that we needed to talk," Ryback said. "I went to his office, we talked, and had a conversation about the singlet. I felt that I won the conversation, but not really since he controls everything. Eventually I went to trunks because I knew I was leaving and it became a mindgame at that point. John Cena approached me later and said to me, 'Congratulations. You won that conversation.' Ultimately, did I really win? I didn't win on TV after that."

Ryback also detailed a story about McMahon not understanding his entrance routine and having to explain it to him.

"One day Billy Kidman came up to me in 'Gorilla,' and he goes, 'Vince was on the headset and he wants you to explain your entrance.' I was just to the ring to bulls**t with some of the guys, and I asked him what he meant? Kidman responded that he doesn't understand my entrance. Like, why you do the arm thing, and then all the arms, and then all your legs," he said. "I said to him that I am collecting all of the energy in the arena, feeding off the energy off the crowd. I am collecting the left side, collecting the right side and then I am collecting everything and then eject it into my quads because I go I know Vince will understand that. This is really the discussion and Kidman can hear me explain it over the headset while I explain all of this. I inject their energy into me and then I shut down, and then I wake up, it's feeding time! I had to explain that to him, and then Kidman just goes, 'That is just so f***ng weird.'

Told you PWInsider, etc would be playing catch up on what I posted last night, here's proof. BILLY CORGAN ANNOUNCES FIRST NWA CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH UNDER COMPANY'S NEW OWNERSHIP

THE MID-SOUTH COLISEUM UNDER NEW PLAN

The future of the legendary Mid-South Coliseum, home of classic professional wrestling for decades under Jarrett Promotions, looks to be grim indeed.  According to today's Memphis Commercial-Appeal, the venue, which was shuttered in 2006, will be "mothballed" by the city, as opposed to upgrading the venue and utilizing it.

Mothballing means the city plans to secure and seal off the venue, leaving it standing but not making any attempts at upgrading it.    Instead of rehabilitating the Coliseum, the city will spend roughly $40 million on redevelopment of Orange Mound community to enhance its competitive sports locally.

The future of the Coliseum has been a big topic of discussion when it was shuttered in 2006 due to the costs needed to renovate the venue in order to bring it into modern standards.  An attempt by Jerry Lawler to run the venue one last time, featuring a proposed match between himself and Hulk Hogan was denied by the city.

Wiseacre Brewing had previoiusly researched a plan that would have seen the company invest $12 million into renovating and lease of the former entertainment venue.  That plan would have seen them yake over the the first floor of the Coliseum and rent the remaining space to a mix of businesses would have potentially included restaurants, a bowling alley, climbing walls, a wrestling museum and a Civil Rights homage."

There has been a huge push from Memphis residents to save the facility, as opposed to paying to have it destroyed.  Memphis wrestling historian and author Mark James has been very involved in the campaign and noted in an interview with PWInsider.com several years ago it would actually cost the city more to destroy the venue then to renovate and repurpose it.

In today's Commercial-Times piece, the city's plan to mothball the arena, Roy Barnes, president of the Coliseum Coalition, an advocacy group that has pushed for the Arena to be repurposed, described today's decision as "real slap in the face to citizens" and claimed the move was made for political reasons, not to better the city.

The city is portraying the move as a chance to help the Coliseum, adding time towards potential investments in improving the facility or to allow the Coliseum Coalition the chance to raise their own funds towards that goal.

For decades, Monday nights in Memphis meant professional wrestling at the Mid-South Coliseum, which housed such moments as Jerry Lawler's feud with Bill Dundee, Andy Kaufman's foray into professional wrestling, Lawler's AWA World championship win over Curt Hennig and a bevy of names including Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Dutch Mantel, Randy Savage, Austin Idol, Tommy Rich, Paul Heyman, Jim Cornette, The Rock N' Roll Express, The Fantastics, The Fabulous Ones, The Midnight Express and even the earliest incarnation of what would eventually become the "Mr. McMahon" character with Vince McMahon playing heel
