MLW files antitrust lawsuit against WWE- Alleges that WWE has pressured third parties to abandon relationships with them
Major League Wrestling announced today they have filed an antitrust lawsuit against WWE.
MLW announced the lawsuit in a press release, accusing WWE of pressuring third parties to abandon contracts and prospective relationships with them, citing as an example a potential streaming deal that “would have been transformative for the company”.
In the lawsuit, MLW specifically mentions that a deal with the streaming service Tubi TV, owned by Fox, fell apart when WWE stepped in.
Additionally, the company alleges that in early 2021, when MLW was in talks with Vice TV to air programing, a then-WWE executive warned Vice TV that Vince McMahon was “pissed” about Vice airing MLW programming and that Vice TV should stop working with MLW. A Vice TV executive responded by saying that what they were doing was illegal and an antitrust violation. The executive replied that she could not control McMahon.
“WWE has been wrongfully depriving its competitors of critical opportunities for many years, but its latest conduct has been even more unconscionable," MLW CEO Court Bauer said in the press release. "I think we speak for the rest of the professional wrestling world when we say that this anti-competitive behavior has to stop.”
WWE, in a statement to Wrestlenomics, said MLW's claims have no merit.
Of course they don't, LOL.
"WWE believes these claims have no merit and intends to vigorously defend itself against them,” they said.
They'll find out the hard way, that they do. :)
MLW aired one special on Vice TV back on October 7, a Fightland event that had Alex Hammerstone defeat Jacob Fatu to win the MLW World Heavyweight title.

Kenny Omega Gets P*NKED By Jim Cornette
Kenny was indeed, punk slapped.
Kenny Omega had several heated exchanges with fans on Twitter this past weekend. Several of the replies to fans mentioned Cornette, who has had a social media rivalry with Omega for a few years now. You can click here to read our original report on Omega’s weekend tweets with fans.
In one reply, Omega wrote, “Will you bump up Corny’s oxygen so he can maybe get through a podcast without wheezing through every word? It’s harsh on the ears from what a I hear”
Cornette responded to that tweet by Omega and wondered why he was being mentioned in a conversation he had no involvement in. He also knocked Omega’s in-ring work.
“Not sure why Twinkletoes is referencing me in a completely unrelated conversation I’m not involved in, but he needs hobbies/attention. Hey dipshit, I’m not as harsh on the ears as your ballet routines are on people’s eyes, & I’m wheezing from laughing at your attempts to wrestle,” Cornette wrote.
Omega took to Twitter this week and apologized for bringing up a breathing issue.
“Shouldn’t have brought up any breathing issue. I, as well as many friends/acquaintances in other sports, are suffering due to Covid after effects. Not sure if you’ll accept, but I do apologize,” Omega wrote.
Cornette was not having the apology. He responded to Omega and dismissed the comments as “phony apology b------t,” and said he wants nothing to do with Omega.
“Piss off with your phony apology b------t, turdblossom. I’ve never had COVID, I don’t want to have ANY interaction with you and your phony wrestling, and I don’t have any breathing issues except when you’re on the air I refuse to breathe it,” Cornette wrote.
BOOM, Omega got 'checked', big time there.
Omega has not responded to Cornette’s last tweet as of this writing, (Of course he hasn't, lol) but he did respond to a fan who said it’s time to stop “boosting the haters and focus on your supporters.”
“Absolutely,” Omega agreed.
Wonder how the AEW "marks" feel about 'their boy' Omega, getting owned and chumped by Cornette. (smiles).

Hulk Hogan Makes Post About Vaccines Then Deletes It (But He Didn't Delete It Fast Enough, LOL)
Hulk Hogan is under fire for a now-deleted Facebook comment he made this week, then tried to delete it but guess what, he didn't do it fast enough (as you can see).
Which again begs the question nobody can seem to answer, why even bother to make a post like that if you're just gonna turn chicken shit and quickly delete it?
It makes you look like an even bigger dumb ass when you do that.
I guess the blasting he got from it made him say "this doesn't work for me brotha" so he ran like a bitch and delete it, LOL.
Comedian Josh Pray posted a Facebook video on the death of actor/comedian Bob Saget this week, and in the comments section one viewer speculated on Saget’s death being related to the COVID-19 vaccine.
“Wellll many directions we can go with this, but I will take jab for $500 Alex,” the user wrote.
Hogan’s official Facebook page then responded to that user, and indicated that he believes the deaths of Saget, actor Sidney Poitier, and actress Betty White were related to the vaccine.
“100% Betty and Sidney were also jabbed their dropping like flies but they’ll never say it,” Hogan wrote.
After receiving criticism on Twitter and Facebook, Hogan’s account edited the comment, but the original comment can be viewed under the “Edited” tab. The edited comment simply says “I” now, as seen in the screenshot below.
White passed away at the age of 99 on New Year’s Eve at her home, and reportedly suffered a stroke less than one week before her passing. Poitier passed away on January 6 at his home, and his cause of death has not been announced as of this writing. He was 94. Saget passed away this past Sunday while in his hotel room at The Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, FL. His cause of death has not been confirmed as of this writing. He was 65.
Hogan has not addressed the criticism.
