Raven on his early ECW days

Published on Oct 19, 2017
Raven was introduced to ECW by Stevie Richards. In late 1994, Richards had developed an "identity crisis", performing under the ring names "Stevie Flamingo", "Stevie the Body", and "Stevie Polo" — all references to former ring names used by Levy. After sustaining another loss to Tommy Dreamer, Richards became irate and claimed he would present "the real Johnny Polo". Raven made his first appearance on the January 10, 1995 episode of ECW TV, with Richards revealing that he had a vendetta against Tommy Dreamer.

Raven formed a stable of lackeys known as "Raven's Nest", with Richards the first member. In February, Johnny Hotbody and Tony Stetson joined the stable, calling Raven the "voice of [their] generation".On the March 24, 1995 episode of ECW TV, Dreamer lost to the four members of Raven's Nest in a gauntlet match.

Kevin Nash runs down the problems with the nWo's own WCW PPV event nWo Souled Out...

Oh God (rolls eyes) Some guys really shouldn't be running a wrestling school, and here's one of them.

This would be as bad as Jeff Jarrett running a school, seriously.

Tommy Rich is now running a wrestling school in Myrtle Beach, SC at the X Gym. He's running a show at his gym on Saturday night with Austin Idol, Homicide and Manny Fernandez. All have helped train at his school. The show opened in August and Rich said to the Myrtle Beach Sun News that it has had its ups and downs. He's doing a Halloween themed show and hopes to do two more shows this year, a food drive show in November and a toys for tots show in December.

More various Indy things.

BRAWL (Bloody Rage American Wrestling League) on Saturday night in Cherry Hill, NJ at Cherry Hill West High School. It will be an Iron Mike Sharpe Memorial show as guys working the show used to train with Sharpe at his school in Asbury Park.

Defy Wrestling on Thursday night in Seattle at the Washington Hall Lodge has Sammy Guevara vs. Randy Myers, Ethan HD & Mike Santiago vs. Nick Radford & Kaine Jaiden and more.

Bodyslam Pro Wrestling from Kolding, Denmark yesterday: Harley Rage b Jaxon Stone & Rayo Blanco, Rich Dominick & Shooter Schjotler b Kimball & Zach White, Tank b Emeritus-DQ, Peter Olisander b Matthew Burnett, Michael Fynne b Alexander James. Next show is 1/13 in Aslborg.

You knew it had to happen sooner or later. Bullet Club? NOW we have 'Bullet Kliq' (rolls eyes)

Scott Steiner will be wrestling soon in Australia for All Action Wrestling in Perth, against Wayne Maniac Mattei, who is said to be a giant jacked up guy who has done security for WWE and celebrities and heads a group called, get this, The Bullet Kliq

Acouple Indy Dates for Canadian fans.

  • Acclaim Pro Wrestling on 10/28 at Dom Polski Hall in Ottawa.
  • Capital City Championship Combat on 11/24 in Ottawa at the Vanier Columbus Club.
  • Battlarts on 10/28 at the Don Kolov Arena in Mississauga, ONT.
  • Don't know if this adds anything more to the Jarett thing but, it IS a good reason not to book him anywhere.

Hint hint Jarrett, if you want to be booked on shows, GET IN SHAPE AND BE WILLING TO WORK! Being lazy for your money doesn't work anymore and with social media as it is, EVERYONE NOW KNOWS you're not worth booking anywhere anymore. Congrats, hope that lazy behavior was worth it, idiot.

    From the f4/won webpage.

What happened was Jarrett was to work shows in Calgary and Edmonton this weekend for Real Canadian Wrestling (we had mistakenly called it River City Wrestling yesterday as our first report just came in as RCW). He showed up in Calgary, in no condition to perform although he did do a match and it was said to be similar to his performance at TripleMania. The promoter said he didn't know Jarrett was in such bad shape until the match started but others there said that couldn't be the case because it was clear backstage. He told the promotion that he was held at customs and was told he had to return the next morning and would have to miss Edmonton. The promotion later found out that Jarrett rebooked his flight from Sunday morning to Saturday morning and left before the Saturday night show in Edmonton. The promotion said that Jarrett boarded a plane and left the country on

Roman Reigns has the mumps, LOL. I thought that disease went by the waste side when i was growing up, LOL.

    From the f4/won webpage.

Roman Reigns is out of action with the mumps. It's not certain when he'll be back but it's not going to be a longtime thing, a couple of weeks is what people are saying. No word on Bray Wyatt or Bo Dallas but all are scheduled to be evaluated this coming Monday.

And here it is, PROOF why Jeff Jarrett is bad for business on any wrestling show.

New details have emerged about an incident involving Jeff Jarrett at a Real Canadian Wrestling (RCW) independent show over the weekend.

Sources say Jarrett didn't appear to be in condition to perform when he wrestled a 25-minute main event in Calgary at the show on Friday night. His performance was so lackluster that some of the people in attendance walked out of the main event before it was over.

What promoter would want to go thru this? This is why the name Jeff Jarrett is now pretty worthless to have on any show, anywhere. Waste of money on someone who won't even 'work' for the money he asked for, truly pathetic. I bet his father would be real proud.

You can see this over on the wrestlinginc webpage if you think what I said here was incorrect.

STATUS OF THE GFW AMPED PPVS AND MORE IMPACT-JARRETT NOTES (proving that Jeff Jarrett IS BAD for business as I've said elsewhere for months)

For those wondering how today's announced termination of Jeff Jarrett will impact the current GFW Amped! PPV series, we are told the final installment of that PPV series will air as scheduled.

Impact Wrestling executives have declined to comment on the Jarrett situation and stated they will not comment going further.  They also declined comment on the status of Karen Jarrett with the company.

It is interesting to note that Jeff Jarrett was booked to work for a Canadian independent company, RCW, over the weekend in Edmonton and Calgary.  Jarrett appeared on the Edmonton show and there was apparently some sort of issue with him.  RCW promoter Steven Ewaschuki issued an apology following the show and stated Jarrett would not appear in Calgary via the promotion's Facebook, writing, "RCW has the unfortunate news to report that Jeff Jarrett will be not appearing at tonight's event in Edmonton due to reasons beyond the company's control as Jeff Jarrett has boarded a plane and left the country on his own accord this morning. Jeff Jarrett did appear last night in Calgary at the RCW event but again has chosen to leave the country due to his own issues."

PWInsider.com has been told that the decision to terminate Jarrett took place over the last several days, but anything that took place in Canada over the weekend had no bearing on that situation.

    Jarrett has not commented publicly.

IMPACT TERMINATES RELATIONSHIP WITH JEFF JARRETT, GLOBAL FORCE, see what happens when you book Jarrett anywhere? it's come back to haunt him.

This is a nice read on Nelson Royal, I've been a fan of his for years

Some of his best heel stuff was in 1988 for Robert Fuller's Knoxville promotion where he's facing Steve Armstrong over the Jr. Heavyweight title. I have a multi disc set of the tv shows and a lot of it you can find on Youtube.
