Remember when Tony Khan, Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho ALL claimed that AEW was gonna be the, ahem (cough cough) 'alternative' to WWE? I sure do, and I was the only one with the balls BACK THEN, to say "yeah right, sssuurree you will be, sure you will be".
It is nice to see that AEW has proven me, ABSOLUTELY CORRECT when I called bullshit on that claim.
Thanks Tony Khan, Cody Rhodes and all the guys who are booking and writing for AEW that shouldn't be writing a damn thing. You've done a great job at constantly, proving me right. So congratulations for you are indeed, in order.
I mean, hell. They proved me right TWICE in a week, that's how full of shit their claims are.
It's bad enough they had Paul Wight come out to an intro that was a DIRECT RIPOFF of the intro he had in WWE (and funny how the Meltzer's, Dave Scherer's, WrestlingInc's and all the other wrestling news sites didn't have the balls to openly mention that, But I did, HHMMM), but then? There's THIS.

Last night’s NXT featured an angle where Indi Hartwell & Dexter Lumis got engaged after defeating Jessi Kamea & Robert Stone in a mixed tag match. Hartwell proposed to Lumis following the match.
THEN because someone at AEW thought copying something WWE (NXT) did was a 'brilliant' idea to rip off, comes this.
Before tonight’s Dynamite, Sammy Guevara got down on one knee in the ring and proposed to his girlfriend, Pam.
“Pam, I often wondered on this journey, ‘What would I do without you?'” Guevara said. “And I want to make sure I never have to find that out.”
She accepted and the two embraced in front of the crow.
GGGEEE, how 'convenient' was the timing of THAT!? HHHMMMM. Yet Jericho swears those in AEW aren't watching what WWE does.

Now I know what's gonna happen, just like you do. The AEW "marks" are gonna nitpick in every way possible to defend what is so blatantly obvious. They always do because they prefer to nitpick instead of seeing what's laterally right before their eyes.
They are really, that ignorant and dumb in that aspect and they prove it on an almost daily basis.
"It happened BEFORE Dynamite" is gonna be the biggest nitpick the 'marks' will try and hide behind. That's not the point morons. They STILL did what WWE did and they copied it when Sammy just HAD to purpose in front of fans, just like Indi and Dexter did.
Whether it was an NXT angle or not it's pretty obvious by the timing, Sammy basically and literally ripped off a WWE idea, plain and simple.
"A DUH, why don't I propose in the ring like they did in NXT, duh that's a great idea don't you think? uh huh uh huh uh huh".
Nothing like showing how much you're NOT an alternative by doing what 'the other company' did.
