Some Promoters Are So Desperate They'll Book Anybody- Marty Scurll Making His Return To Pro Wrestling

After having sexual allegations levied against him. There's actually a promoter dumb enough to book him on a show.

Scurll has been away from wrestling after being named in last year’s #SpeakingOut movement. Prior to that, Scurll had re-signed with Ring of Honor and was set to take on the duties of head booker for the company. He went on a hiatus after being named in the movement and ROH officially announced the two had parted ways back in January of this year.

Story on that can be seen here. https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2020/06/as-marty-scurll-remains-employed-by-nwa.html

And here https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2020/10/news-on-marty-scurll-being-removed-from.html

Back in late January, he was involved with a storyline at a NJPW Strong taping, but it never aired, reportedly due to the backlash from fans. It was then reported Scurll wouldn’t be appearing at any future NJPW or NJPW Strong shows in the near future.

Scurll hasn’t wrestled a match since March of 2020.

But NNOOW, there's apparently some schmuck who's desperate to make a buck that has him booked on a show.

What, in the fuck, was that moron thinking.

Marty Scurll is scheduled to make his return to pro wrestling for CWA in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Saturday, October 23 at Halloween Fan Fest.

Keep the under age girls away from him.

When Indie Wrestlers Do Stupid Stunts, THIS Is What Happens (Take Notes And Learn From This)

This past weekend at a Primos Premier Pro Wrestling event in Denver, Colorado, an indie wrestler named Benny Cumberbatch sustained a serious neck injury.

The spot that left Cumberbatch in the hospital occurred during the finals of a deathmatch tournament. He received a Canadian destroyer (flipping piledriver) off of a balcony into a collection of tables and other debris. What added to the risk factor was the fact that all the padding in the ring was removed, leaving nothing but exposed wood below the tables.

Cumberbatch, a local favorite in Colorado, is currently in the hospital, with one source telling people that “things are not looking so good” for him.

Of course it isn't, you do a dumb ass stunt like that, with no padding or SOMETHING top help 'cushion the fall' you end up with stupid fucking injuries like this, DUH! Even Stevie Wonder could this was cause for disaster, and for what? MAYBE 100 "marks"; chanting "He's Hardcore, He's Hardcore" OORR the usual and typical "This is awesome, this is awesome".

How awesome do you think feels NOW? Fucking dumb ass.

A Gofundme page to assist Cumberbatch and his family in paying medical bills and any other related expenses has been organized in honor of the indie wrestler. You can access that fundraiser at this link.

The fundraiser page includes a passage that reads, “Professional wrestlers take huge risks every time they step in the ring, and when the risk is successful, the fans delight. However, those risks can have serious consequences when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, something went wrong for one of those wrestlers and he needs our help.

“All funds will go to Benny and his family to use to cover medical costs or however they choose. Please give what you can, and if you can’t give anything, please share with your friends and family. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.”

Primos Premiere Pro Wrestling, the organization that hosted the event where Benny was injured, has also committed to helping the cause. They have contributed all proceeds from the deathmatch tournament to Benny’s medical bills.

What they 'need to pout out there' is an order of no more of these dumb ass stunts.

Did the promoter of this show know that stunt was gonna happan? And knowing how dangerous it is why did he allow it if he knew about it?

There's some questions I bet won't be answered.

And here's another one, does this promotion have the balls to insist, moves like this aren't done any more, on ANY of their shows?

Any 'reasonable' promoter would put that order into place, immediately.
