THIS.. Is The Best Impact Wrestling Can Do When It Comes To Creativity

Just go ahead and rip off a shitty WCW gimmick idea.. YEAH, "That's the ticket", LMAO!

Yep, ALOT of thought and effort went into this.. One look at Wrestlecrap.com and they found the inspiration for that... With THIS...

And of course I had the balls to say something about it. :)

Yep.. ANOTHER EXAMPLE of Don Callis's claim that was gonna 'get rid' of the silliness that plagued Impact Wrestling but can't.. because HE is now the one writing, creating and booking the silliness.

And you wonder why, they can't get a decent TV deal. HHMMM.

Lesson 1,235 on Why You Don't Be Like WWE And Drive Your fans Away.

Yeah, I'm sure this will be pissing some people off who bought tickets because they wanted to see this match.
Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre had been pushed for the main event spot at the Glens Falls, NY house show tonight and were still listed on the web site a few hours ago but both are scheduled to be on Raw tonight in Newark.  Everyone should read "Death of WCW" regarding running off fans.
And you know they didn't offer any refunds for fans who wanted it because the match they paid to see, wasn't gonna happen. This was advertised as the main event. HOW.. Could you NOT offer refunds? It's the least you can do and God knows the place isn't even gonna be sold out because you're running on the same night a live Raw is going. Who's dumb shit idea was THAT to do?
Yep, WWE is really good at making fans tirn off their product.. Nice to see they're staying consistent with it. :)

Johnny Impact Done With Impact Wrestling?

Former Impact Wrestling Champion Johnny "Impact" Hennigan finished his current run with Impact Wrestling at last night's Slammiversary PPV, losing to X-Division Champio Rich Swann.

Hennigan's Impact Wrestling contract expired several weeks ago, but the two sides agreed that he would work through the PPV in order to close out his storyline with Swann.   Impact sources confirmed that Hennigan is no longer under contract to the promotion, but noted the two sides are still in talks about continuing their relationship.  That said, Hennigan is now free to negotiate and sign with any promotion.

Hennigan, 39 years old, has been with Impact since 2017 and had really found himself in his current "Mayor of Slamtown" persona.  Hennigan had a long run with WWE after winning the third season of their Tough Enough reality series, performing for the promotion through 2011 as John Morrison.  Hennigan was also one of the top stars in the El Rey Network's Lucha Underground promotion, performing as Johnny Mundo.  Over the course of his Impact run, Impact held the promotion's top title and has been one of the cornerstones of the company.    He's also cultivated quite an acting resume in both independent films and TV series over the last several years.  He has a new short horror film The Iron Sheik Massacre set for release this Fall.

Hennigan's wife, Taya Valkyrie, is the current Impact Knockouts Champion.  Her deal with the company is believed to run through the end of 2019.

MLW Notes

Jacob Fatu won the MLW Championship.  That had been the planned direction since this past March when Fatu signed an exclusive deal with the company.  In storyline, CONTRA are outsiders to the company but in reality, Fatu is signed.  Fatu was something of a badass, cool babyface in his bout against Tom Lawlor as the fans in Chicago got behind him with a big “New Champ” chant.

In regard to concern about Teddy Hart, who looked to be injured doing a ladder spot in Chicago over the weekend, he is 100% fine and was just selling, doing a great job of it.

The Kings of Colosseum event over the weekend was another Chicago sellout for the promotion, with the last tickets being sold about 30 minutes after the show began.

For those who have asked how MLW will treat AEW TV when it launches, we are told nothing will change on MLW’s part.  MJF and Jimmy Havoc’s deal allow them to appear on any other wrestling promotion’s TV with the exception of WWE.  There are no plans to stop using the talents because they are also working for AEW, but obviously, if and when their MLW deals expire, they’ll be free to move on if they choose.  The Court Bauer edict has been more opportunities elsewhere for the talents means things are better for everyone.

The Chicago taping over the weekend set the promotion’s merchandise record, which was credited to expanding beyond just selling t-shirts.  At the taping, they were selling autographed LA Park masks, stuffed Teddy Hart plush cats and even Von Erich foam Iron Claws.

There was super high morale after the MLW TV taping over the weekend with the locker room chanting the MLW initials during a post-show meeting, which blew Court Bauer away and really touched him.

Why Tessa Blanchard Lost To Sami Callihan At Impact Slammiversary XVII

Apparently, THIS is the theory making the rounds.

Callihan hit two piledrivers on Blanchard to pick up the victory. After the match, Callihan grabbed both his and Blanchard's bat and looked to attack her once again, instead, handing Blanchard her gold bat and then heading to the back.
Some may have found the outcome surprising, but according to the latest Wrestling Observer Radio the reason was the match was designed to showcase Blanchard as Impact obviously sees her as a big star within the promotion. The plan from the start was to have Callihan win the match.
Dave Meltzer also noted this type of "backwards booking" is something WWE has done in the past, where the person they are pushing, loses more often. He gave the example of Daniel Bryanas someone who was able to get over with that type of strategy. While this booking often doesn't work, Blanchard could also be the exception as fans tend to get behind "the chase" if it's for the right wrestler.
Take the theory for whatever you want.

Why Buy A Ticket To Slammiversary When You Can Just "Walk On In, And Have A Seat", LMAO!

You just can't.. Make this shit up, LOL.

I thought this was funny as hell. Is the message here "Tickets. we don't need no stinking tickets to Slammiversary.. Just waltz on in and take a seat".
I had acouple different people message me and one actually called me from the arena..(one from Twitter, Two from Facebook groups I post in) That when they got to the arena, nobody was checking anyone to see if they actually had tickets to the show. Security and arena staff just let people in.
"Gotta fill them seats up ya know.. There's plenty of empty ones so fill em up however you can" must've been the message sent, LOL!
It makes you wonder how people who actually BOUGHT tickets felt when they saw shit like that happening.
"Top Notch" work there, I tell you.. Five star all the way, LMAO!
They had about 700 tickets sold to the event and maybe 1,00 in the building? So HOW MANY people, thanks to the lack of anyone really checking anyone.. Got to see that pay per view live.. FOR FREE? HHMMM..
Hope when they get to Villa Park for Bound For Glory, something's changed and people actually LOOK, to SEE, if people actually HAVE a ticket.
It's a hell of a concept I know, but obviously it's a concept people at Impact Wrestling are having a hard time grasping.

FORMER NWA CHAMP READY TO RETURN TO ACTION

Former NWA Women's World Champion Jazz tweeted the following:

AEW Reverses Decision On Star Being At Indie Event

I and at least one other news site covered this on AEW Yanking Shawn Spears from an upcoming Limitless Wrestling show.  https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2019/07/aew-pulls-wwe-and-yanks-star-from.html

Evidently now that the story got out AEW has since reversed its decision and is NOW allowing Spears to appear at the event.
