Before Meltzer, The Torch and Wrestlinginc, I have it. Tim Storm vs. Jocephus - Empty Arena Match from Impact Wrestling / NWA (National Wrestling Alliance)
Published on Jan 15, 2018
Tim Storm and Jocephus took their NWA rivalry to the Impact Wrestling - Impact Zone on Sunday 1/14/18 for an Empty Arena Match with the winner getting a shot at NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. The match is called by Jeremy Borash and Sam Shaw.
This very personal issue between Tim Storm and Jocephus started in their first match and Jocephus claim that Tim Storm used save in his eye to beat him.
This led to Jocephus petitioning Billy Corgan for a rematch with a chance to earn another title match. In that match, Tim Storm defeated Jocephus one more time. After that match, Jocephus used a ladder to crack the ribs of Tim Storm. That injury was a contributing factor to Tim Storm losing the NWA Worlds Title to Nick Aldis at CZW'S Cage of Death.
Tim Storm wanted badly a chance at revenge against Jocephus but Jocephus was suspended by the NWA for forty-five days. In that time, Jocephus found his spiritual advisor and began his period of contemplation. Jocephus demanded Storm put up the title match and even stalked Tim Storm's daughter to make sure it happened.
The location of Impact Wrestling and their Impact Zone was chosen by Jocephus. This is the complete unedited match from Orlando Florida

A guy's first indy show. I had aloot of the same feeling when I went to my first Silvano Sousa owned Atlantic Wrestling Federation show in Manchester, NH.

Sid Vicious Addresses Rumors Of Taking Time Off From Wrestling To Play Softball
Recently former WWE and WCW World Champion Sid Vicious spoke with Hannibal TV and addressed longstanding rumors that he would breach wrestling contracts to play softball. Below are some highlights:
How the softball rumors started in WCW:
"What happened on that was this – started back a long time ago when I worked for WCW. I had my lung surgery where I had a hole in my lung, so they had to cut part of my lung away, so I lost a lot of weight. So, I was gaining my weight back and I flew in, they looked at me – actually they had Terry Funk fly in one time to look at me. I didn't even know I could drive that day, but I was scared not to drive because I was afraid I was going to lose my job. So, I picked him up at the airport, made one loop around the airport and I dropped him off. And I don't know what Terry Funk said, but they didn't fire me or make a big deal about me being that skinny. So, I put my weight on, went to see them, they looked at me and said 'No, we won't you to put a little more weight on.'
"So, I go back home, and I'm just, you know, working out every day, eating 15 times a day, and working out 2 or 3 times a day. And so, during my time off I played a little softball. I'm only guessing at this point, but I think it was Jerry Lawler, of course he played a lot of softball, saw me out there all the time and suddenly, the office calls me and says, 'What the f--k are you doing playing softball?" I said, 'Well man, I wasn't told not to play softball, I was told to put on some weight.' Ole (Anderson) was the booker, he said for your punishment they're going to have you come in and you're going to put Lex Luger over in 5 seconds. Now you've got to realize, I was either out for 7 or 8 months. When somebody's paying me, you know, big money to sit at home, that 30 seconds I probably got paid $200,000 for that. You know, so I'm not going to worry about putting Lex over, I never worried about putting people over. So that's where it started."
How the rumors continued during his time in WWF:
"The next time it came about was when I'd had my fill of the WWF at the time, and I told Vince I wasn't going to be there anymore. And it took me about 3 or 4 months to get out of my contract where I could go back to WCW. And during that time, I played some softball. So, those are the two times I played softball when I wasn't wrestling. Any other time than that, it never happened. Now, I played when I came home on my days off, but it never affected the business. But that's the deal, it got blown out of proportion, and again, it probably started with someone stooging me off like Lawler, who… a little jealous, you know. And then, why somebody would worry about me playing softball, but they did. If you think about it, a lot of people said, 'Well Sid, you're an athlete, you could hurt yourself,' and I understand that. But I wasn't playing the field, I was only DH'ing, and you really don't get hurt doing that."
If he still plays softball in his spare time for fun:
"I did. I haven't played in the last couple of years, it's just been too busy. Last time I did play a couple of years ago, I tweaked my hamstring and I said as hard as I work out I'm not going to do that. This actually was more than just a couple of years ago, this was a couple of years after I broke my leg."

And here's some more Impact Wrestling stuff
A clarification on Barbed Wire Massacre 3, featuring LAX vs. OVE. The match
will indeed air in some countries on this week's episode of Impact Wrestling,
but not in the United States as Pop TV has declined to air it due to the obvious
content. The match will be made available via Twitch.tv in the United States.
No word yet what the Impact Twitch channel will be. The Fight Network in Canada
(which is owned by the same corporate owner as Impact) has already stated the
match will air in Canada.
With all the recent departures over the course of this week's tapings, the major names left to keep an eye on are Eddie Edwards, Eli Drake and Alberto el Patron. The belief among everyone is that Patron is the highest paid talent on the roster and cost-cutting has been the norm here. His deal, I believe, is up in March, but he's been announced as headlining the April PPV (see below), which is a sign that they are at least all under the belief Patron will be remaining. Edwards' deal was up later this month and he was slated to discuss a new deal over the course of last week's tapings. He is advertised for the 2/3 WrestlePro event in New Jersey that is doubling as an Impact taping. Drake's deal is up towards the summer.
Impact Wrestling is moving to 10 PM local time on SpikeTV in the UK effective this week.
WrestlePro will working with Impact Wrestling for an event that will feature a lot of Impact talents coming in to be filmed for future installments of Impact's TV series Scheduled to appear on the 2/3 WrestlePro "Brace for Impact" event in Rahway, NJ are Eli Drake, Moose, Alberto el Patron, Allie, KM, Braxton Sutter, Eddie Edwards, Matt Sydal, Fallah Bah and more. Bobby Lashley had been advertised for this date, but that's obviously up in the air as it appears he finished at last night's taping, Also appearing on the event at the Rahway Rec Center is the former "Emma" in WWE, Tenille Dashwood. Dashwood will be facing Angelina Love in the main event of the taping, a match that is not slated to be taped for Impact TV, Dan Maff and more will also be appearing. For ticket information, visit www.WrestleProOnline.com
There was talk backstage at the tapings that there may be house shows in California forthcoming, possibly as soon as March.
The 4/22 PPV title has been changed to Redemption. It was originally slated to be Lockdown but the current regime opted against locking themselves (no pun intended) into the Steel Cage format that has traditionally been the centerpiece of that event. The top two matches are Impact Wrestling champion Austin Aries vs. Alberto el Patron and Impact Wrestling X-Division champion Matt Sydal vs. Petey Williams.
Dave Lagana was at yesterday's taping as he filmed an Empty Arena match between Tim Storm and NWA champion Nick Aldis prior to fans being let in the Impact Zone for the Impact taping.

So Impact Wrestling won't try and keep Lashley and EC3 but instead sign..
They should've spent the money trying to keep the talents that are leaving out the front door. But of course that's logic and common sense and that apparently doesn't exist in Anthem Sports.

First EC3 is gone and now... Bobby Lashley finishes up with Impact Wrestling at TV tapings
They might want to rethink how they're paying talent on a 'per appearance' basis. They're losing the talent that's kept them afloat. But of course they won't and think nothing's wrong when indeed. Many things are wrong and they're not even trying to correct it.
Bobby Lashley finished up with Impact Wrestling last night at their television tapings in Orlando, Florida.
Lashley joined Chris Adonis, Ethan Carter III, and Laurel Van Ness as top names who have left the company this week.
Lashley worked two matches with Brian Cage at the tapings, losing both nights. Cage, who made his debut on Thursday, was also the guy used for EC3 to be laid out by so he's getting the monster push.
The win opens the door for Lashley to return to WWE, where he was being groomed at one point to be one of the top stars, but left the company over issues that as part of his release, he promised not to talk about publicly.
Lashley would make an interesting opponent for Brock Lesnar.
Impact will be back in Orlando tonight as they close out this round of tapings. Their next pay-per-view will be "Redemption" on April 22nd.
