Apparently Impact Wrestling Pulls A Bitch Move. IMPACT CHAMPION ALMOST WORKED AEW DOUBLE OR NOTHING

Impact Champion Brian Cage was almost a surprise at the All Elite Wrestling Double or Nothing PPV last week,

Cage was backstage at the PPV and prepared to compete in the match but when Impact Wrestling officials learned he was there, they contacted Cage and informed him he could not appear due to his Impact deal.

Tommy Dreamer, who is on the Impact creative team, did appear, but is not under contract to any promotion, did appear in the Battle Royal.

As much as Impact needs publicity, as well as viewers to even fund their product, this has to be considered a bitch move. They would've had alot of publicity even if Cage just did an in ring appearance. Impact would've had some buzz they desperately need. But instead, they played the bitch move card.

Pretty fucking dumb if i do say so myself.

RING OF HONOR OPENS 'INTERNAL REVIEW' AFTER ALLEGED BULLY RAY SITUATION AT PORTLAND EVENT

POSTWrestling.com is reporting that Ring of Honor has opened an internal review of a series of events at last night's live event in Portland, Oregon that led to a fan making accusations that he was brought backstage to be spoken to by Bully Ray in an intimidating manner after an interaction with The Allure, which the fan also alleged members of the group spit at and face-palmed him.

The fan, Josh Ketch, claims that he was brought backstage by security and spoken to by Ray in an intimidating manner, warned not to speak to the women in any way he wouldn't speak to his mother, before being sent back to his ringseat and told "go be a fan."  Ketch claimed that he was merely giving the heels heat during the show and that the situation "soured" him severely on ROH, which was making its debut in the market.  His complete recounting of the events are also on POSTWrestling.

ROH's Greg Gilliland told POSTWrestling: "ROH has always taken fan-first approach, with fan experience being at the forefront of all of our live events. We consider this to be very serious and will be conducting an internal review over the next 48 hours to determine the appropriate actions."

As of this writing, there has been no comment or release of Bully Ray's side of the events.  Some outlets did reach out to Ray earlier today seeking comment, but it is believed he would be flying back from Oregon and has not, as of yet, responded.  Now that ROH has opened a review of the situation, it is not likely he will publicly respond before that is completely, if at all.

Earl Hebner Shares What It Was Like To Ref For Cody Vs. Dustin Rhodes, Why He Loves AEW

Earl Hebner spoke with Bill Apter at a convention in New Jersey about refereeing the Cody vs. Dustin Rhodes at Double or Nothing and his thoughts about working for AEW.
"It was a great experience. A lot of pressure because I knew those two boys when they were kids. Matter of fact, their daddy was the one that gave me this job. He was the one that gave me a job at the NWA in Charlotte," Hebner reminisced. "Seeing those kids grow up and being with them in Double Or Nothing, was really great. I was in there with two great kids, two great friends, and honestly, it was like family. We got it, it was done, and it was good."
"I was more nervous about those two guys hurting each other than I was in the ring," he admitted. The ring doesn't bother me. When I got two great kids, well men now, in the ring, that I've loved all my life, and see them grow up from babies, it was a lot of stress on me. It's like I was the dad. I'm glad that I got to raise Cody's hand and leave because I probably been in tears at ringside."
"They're a great company. I feel privileged and honored to be with them," Hebner said about AEW. It's going to wake up a lot of people around the world, in the wrestling business especially the WWE. It's gonna be a world war. This company-it's just so many good things for me to say about AEW. It's hard to get it all."
When asked about the locker room atmosphere, Hebner said, "There's happiness, joking, laughing. It's not like you are in a prison anymore. It's like you're enjoying what you do and you do it the best that you can do when you're not under pressure.
"I'm going to leave that up to AEW," said about referring the title match at All Out. I would in all honesty like to see another referee get the opportunity to do that because I've been there and it would give them great honor and myself too. I would rather see somebody else besides Earl Hebner," he ended.

Ricochet Talks Difficulties Transitioning To WWE From Indies

Even though he's just 30 years old, Ricochet wrestled on the indies for 15 years before signing with WWE. The independent scene is entirely different than WWE as each promotion asks for something different from its wrestlers.
Ricochet talked about the difficulties in transitioning from the indies to WWE when he joined the State of Combat podcast.
"That was actually one of the things that I was looking forward to the most when I was getting signed was to come to the Performance Center to work on some of the parts that I wasn't really the best at," stated Ricochet. "I was learning from guys like Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Terry Taylor, Norman Smiley as far as character and promos, they would say things that are so obvious but I just wouldn't think about it. I was like, oh dude, you are totally right, and I felt like it really helped me out. Not even with promos and characters, even in the ring stuff that I thought I had ironed out they would tell me things that would make it even better and I would think how they made my process so much better and how I wasn't sure why I never thought about it. I have no complaints for my time at the Performance Center. It was great."
Some consider NXT to really be the crown jewel of WWE and say it's the best thing going under the entire WWE umbrella. In addition to meeting his girlfriend Kacy Catanzaro thereRicochettalked about what makes NXT a special place to work.
"I will be honest with you, before I even signed with NXT I was like dude, NXT is the place to be right now. It only grew and grew. That 2018 year I personally always take the time and reflect and take in what is going on in the moment. At a time I could really feel the buzz and the fan support just grow and grow. We all felt that, which is why we wanted to go after those TakeOvers and do the best we can because we could feel the emotion and energy from the fans. That is why we really grew because we gave the energy right back, they gave it back to us and we gave it right back, so we definitely could feel that movement happening," said Ricochet.
"We would get our matches and we would wish each other the best of luck. We would say that our match would be the best of the night but you guys would be at a good second. We would say that to each other. We would joke around obviously, but then everyone would go out and try to kill it. I feel like you can take any match on an NXT TakeOver and flip it around and it would still be in the best order. But it was good, a lot of friendly competition, a lot of love. We all knew each other a long time before we got here so it is a new company and would want to grow it as much as possible and try to give it everything we got and help it grow."
