Michael Elgin has some problems.
Smash Wrestling in Canada announced that they’ve suspended Michael Elgin’s bookings for December 17th and January 19th and Limitless Wrestling in Maine announced that Elgin has been replaced by Jeff Cobb on their January 19th show. The issues stem from how Elgin handled a sexual assault allegation that was made against Sean Orleans, who was a former student of Elgin’s and wrestled for his Glory Pro promotion until being let go after the allegation was made public. Both promotions released statements about their shows being inclusive, welcoming, fun, and safe environments, with Smash Wrestling citing Elgin’s potential knowledge of the incident before it was publicly revealed as the reason for their decision. Cobb being announced as Elgin’s replacement comes after private messages of Elgin criticizing Cobb as a tag team partner in NJPW had been released. Elgin issued a statement about the situation before later deactivating his Twitter account.
Cody Rhodes Quote
In an excerpt of an interview with ESPN, Cody Rhodes said that they’ll have a date and venue within two weeks for the 10,000 seat show he and The Young Bucks are self-financing: “We’ll have a date and a place within two weeks. That’s why I went ahead and commented on the original story, because it’s far enough along in the process that people need to know it’s happening.”

Bret Hart Files $1 Million Lawsuit Over Botched Surgery
WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has reportedly filed a $1-million lawsuit over a botched wrist surgery that has left him unable to use his right thumb and index finger. The Calgary Sun reports Hart underwent the surgery two years ago with Dr. Justin Yeung to deal with an injury he had endured since 1981.
Six weeks after his surgery on Nov. 23, 2015, Hart visited Yeung to have three pins removed and this is when he first indicated that he lacked function in his right thumb and index finger. Yeung advised him to take a wait-and-see approach, but the problems persisted well into 2016.
"The defendants were negligent, breached the duties of care they owed to Mr. Hart and breached their agreement with (him)," the lawsuit alleges. It goes on to say Yeung and his surgery team left "a tourniquet on Mr. Hart's right arm on too long, such that the circulation of the nerves and tendons to his right thumb and index finger were damaged by a prolonged insufficient supply of oxygen.
Hart is seeking $1 million in general damage in addition to unspecified amounts for lost income and other losses.
"He is unable to participate in his previous recreational and social activities," the lawsuit states about Hart's current limitations. "He is unable to use his right hand to pick up and functionally use objects, including pens, pencils, eating utensils and tools."
The defense has not yet filed a statement disputing the allegations. Calgary Sun reports that Hart underwent another surgery in Vancouver in October, but the outcome of that surgery is not yet known

DR. D DAVID SCHULTZ RELEASING AUTOBIOGRAPHY
The infamous "Dr. D" David Schultz will be releasing an
autobiography "Don't Call Me Fake: The Real Story of 'Dr. D' David Schultz"
with co-author John Cosper in early 2018. The current plan is to release
the book sometime in January as the majority of the work has been completed.
The book will cover Schultz's life as a professional wrestler as well as his post-wrestling career as a bounty hunter who traveled the world bringing back criminals who had absconded from their court dates. Over the course of his bounty hunting career, Schultz had a 100% capture rate and those he brought back never skipped again.
On the wrestling end, the book will cover Schultz's early life, his training with Herb Welch, his years in Memphis, Florida, Stampede, the AWA, and the WWF. Obviously, the John Stossel ABC 20/20 incident and Schultz's dismissal from WWF will be covered as will be his run after WWF and his time training professional wrestlers. There will be stories about Hulk Hogan, Antonio Inoki, Johnny Rodz, The Iron Sheik, Ric Flair, and Abdullah the Butcher, among others.
The book will feature over 100 photos from Schultz's personal collection including photos that would have exposed kayfabe back in the 80s.
The book will be over 460 pages in total.
