70 fans For A Wrestling Show? Not A Good Impression To be Making.

Lucha Libre Promotions ran at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds yesterday in conjunction with the Super World Con, which announced all kinds of giant names with a ton of them canceling in the last two weeks because this was a gigantic mess.  The wrestling show drew 70 fans for a four-match show that had Mecha Wolf vs. local Payaso de Rodeo, when Puma King had travel issues so they said, and Juventud Guerrera beat Drago in the main event.

Another Example Of Why You shouldn't try And Fuck With A Guy Who Has Knowledge.

Won't say what group this is in but.. I do love how people call me out on something, I call the bluff and then they try and spin their way out of the fact they got it thrown back at them..

Plus this guy actually said that Owen hart isn't Hall Of Fame worthy.

(rolls eyes)..

Eli Drake Gives Details On Why He Refused The Intergender Match Against Tessa Blanchard

During Eli Drake's recent appearance on The Chris Van Vliet Show, he thoroughly addressed the issues he harbored surrounding the intergender match against Tessa Blanchard that was originally scheduled for Impact United We Stand on April 4th. Drake first learned about the scheduled bout on social media, and furthermore, this was only after one other Impact star had already turned down the match.
"So, they announced the match and I had no prior knowledge of it; nobody had said anything," Drake said. "I find out about it on Twitter. That's not terribly abnormal, I don't think. I think that it's a more special situation though, only because I know that somebody else had already turned that match down because of his own discomfort with it. I understand that they have pressure to announce events and get it out there. I completely understand that [and empathize] with that."
Drake is one of the many that believe Blanchard is indeed an "undeniable" performer. Even still, he personally doesn't want to be a part of an intergender pro wrestling match if he can avoid it.
"When I saw the announcement, I immediately emailed the necessary outlets and said, 'Hey guys, I'm not comfortable doing this. I will wrestle anybody else on the roster, I'm just not very comfortable doing an intergender match,'" Drake recounted. "I have amazing respect for Tessa Blanchard; I've told many people that she is easily the best female wrestler in the world. She is so intense with everything she does, and her facials, and moves."
Ultimately, Drake believes that a women competing on the same level as men in pro wrestling isn't realistic enough to pursue. He feels a similar way about competing against performers that are significantly smaller than him.
"I don't even like wrestling really small guys a lot of the time. It just feels phony," Drake explained. "Some people are gonna disagree with me on this but I kind of like to use people who aren't big time wrestling fans as kind of a litmus test. I had a show in North Carolina last year and the guy that I wrestled was easily 100 pounds lighter than me. [My girlfriend] was like, 'It looked like father and son wrestling in there. It looked like you were beating up a child.' So thinking about that and knowing that I'm leaving the company, I know that I'm not going over. That's fine, and for the most part, that doesn't matter, but at the same time, I don't want to completely crush my brand."

Michael Elgin Posts On Social Media About Past Accusations

Impact star Michael Elgin took to Twitter to explain about past accusations that have surrounded him since 2017. Elgin was accused of mishandling a sexual assault case at his personal pro wrestling promotion, though the case ended after it was thrown out in December of 2018 because of insufficient evidence.

This is "Pinned" on his Twitter page. Which anyone going to his page can actually see it.

Case gets thrown out.. End of story.. Congrats to him for that.

PAIGE TALKS ABOUT HOW THINGS FALL THROUGH THE CRACKS IN WWE'S CREATIVE PROCESS AND MORE

Paige did an interview with The Sun in the UK promoting the digital release of "Fighting with My Family."  During the interview, she is asked about managing The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) where she expressed frustration, "If we don’t get used I get really frustrated because we’re a good tag team and we need to be utilized. Sometimes the writers have so much on their plate with everyone else’s storylines, they put things on the backburner. I have to remind them, ‘Ok, but there is a women’s tag team title… I’m like, ‘What the hell dudes? Let’s make something happen. "

She talks about expressing this frustration about creative to Vince and Triple H saying, "It frustrates me but once you actually get to speak with Vince and Hunter about your problems and frustrations, they’re always the first to say, ‘Let’s change this. If you go up to writers it’s like talking to a brick wall sometimes, whereas if you go to Vince and Hunter they’re like, ‘If you have a problem we can change that for you.’

The interview was done before this past weekends live events in Tokyo where The Kabuki Warriors won a future WWE Women's Tag Team Title opportunity.

Paige had this to say about the Kabuki Warriors, "The Kabuki Warriors can be a force to be reckoned with and that was the plan from the beginning... After the match in Tokyo hopefully, we’ll get to build towards a pay-per-view, which gives the girls something to look forward to. So I’m happy we have a boss that really listens to us.”

On her former Absolution stablemates, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose success on the main roster, and the rumors of a romantic storyline with the duo, "“I’m so proud of them. I truly adore those girls. I had so much fun with them. Each week they work more and they’re so hungry. What more could you hope for in a wrestler? I don’t know creatively where they’re going. I just think they deserve it.

The former Champion states that she can see not being in a creative role for the company "I have to give the writers some credit where it’s due. They have to deal with a lot, they truly do. I would not want to be in their shoes – I don’t want to be in creative. It’s a lot of pressure because you’ve got to make everyone happy all the time. I don’t think I have the patience to deal with everyone screaming at me all the time.”

But Paige definitely sees herself still having a role in the company on camera, "“One way or another I’ll always be a part of WWE, whether it’s in front of the camera or behind the camera. I’d love to do a GM role again. I felt like I really found myself in that role. It really pushed me. Also, I love acting, I truly really love it. Obviously wrestling always will be my first passion but unfortunately, I can’t do that anymore.”

She is also asked which woman on the roster deserves their own movie and whether Vince has seen Fighting with My Family.
