WWA (Kentucky) Tribute To Madd Mexx (1966 - 2025)

Monday morning Madd Mexx suffered a series of strokes among several other medical emergencies that saw him placed on a ventilator. Now, days later with family and friends by his side, our beloved WWA veteran is unable to breathe on his own and CT scans are showing very little brain activity.

Mexx’s family has made the decision to bring him off life support, but as Mexx is graciously an organ donor, this process could take a few days.

For nearly 40 years Madd Mexx let his tiny presence be known in the massive world of professional wrestling. Proving that regardless of size, he was truly larger than life. After working in countless companies all over the world, Mexx found his home here, with the WWA.

In 2010, Madd Mexx lent his expertise, his knowledge and his talents to the WWA to help a bunch of backyard wrestling kids turn their dreams and ambitions into reality. Madd Mexx was instrumental in introducing my much younger self, along with my brother, Ray, to promoters across several states and getting guys like Jordan Whittaker, Alexander Knight and many others some of their first wrestling bookings. Some our favorite memories with Mexx are from those very trips.

In recent years, Mexx has made the greatest impact on a new generation of WWA wrestler. From keeping time on shows and sending me a detailed run down every week, to performing in front of 900 screaming fans just a few months ago at the Owensboro Sportscenter, to leading the ultimate charge during breakdown of our shows… holding all of us accountable if it took more than 45 minutes. Mexx’s presence was felt in every venue at every show one way or another.

Mexx’s presence took lead in the locker room, but also help lead a young Mestizo Dynasty into the main event and most recently helped Tyler Santos break out of his shell and stand on his own.

Madd Mexx truly knew what it meant to give back to our business.

To our locker room, he is a staple. He was open to give advice and criticism on the matches he meticulously watched. He was always the source of laughs during his stories of a lifetime in our business. He is loved.

To our fans, he’s one of a kind. A character and performer that could make you belly laugh like no other but also make you really believe. For the fans, he bled and destroyed his body to give you a show that you’d never forget.

To me, he was my friend. A source of strength and knowledge. I met him in a time when I needed someone to teach me how to lead and he was so influential in my wrestling upbringing. I truly love him as not just a friend, but as a mentor.

Madd Mexx will never be forgotten in the world of professional wrestling and now, the WWA takes up the reigns to assure that his legacy is carried forward and his memory, never to fade.

I love you my friend.”

Chris Waddell, WWA Owner/Promoter

Our condolences to WWA referee Mikey Santoyo on the loss of his father, to his wonderful wife, Nina and all of his family, friends and fans. We feel this loss so deeply.

We’re sending you the upmost love.

PCW Limelight S5E19 | Where's the Champ? • Dicky v Ultimo Jaguar • Reeb & Synn vs Bad News & Big Don

Match 1: Sergio Santana finally gets what he asked for—an InterCalifornia Championship match against The Dark Fox Olumide. But rumors are swirling that Olumide didn’t even show up… Did the Wrestling Superstar have a devious plan all along?

Match 2: Dicky Dakin, armed with Zack Reeb’s “focus cube,” looks to stay hot after his victory over Kid Carson. But can Zack’s guidance help him survive the high-flying, high-octane assault of international luchador Ultimo Jaguar?

Main Event: Zack “PrimeTime” Reeb isn’t done stirring the pot. After tensions with Synn boiled over last month, Reeb is enforcing his contract and making Synn team with him against Bad News Blakeslee and Big Don Stockton—right in Don’s hometown of Red Bluff, where The Dudes are hugely popular. Can they coexist, or will the cracks finally explode?
