In Part 1 of this special DemoPOD deep dive, Bill takes us back to the beginning and tells the story of the character that transformed his career. We trace The Masked Superstar’s journey from his origins in the 1970s through 1981, including the territories, promoters, opponents, matches and moments that helped establish him as one of professional wrestling’s most recognizable masked villains.
Bill shares the stories behind the mask, the development of the character and his experiences working around the wrestling business during an era when territories were thriving and protecting the mystique of a masked wrestler actually meant something.
