Ed Nordholm Interview On Impact Wrestling's "Darkest Period", And More.

“Sitting Ringside with Dave Penzer” with guest Ed Nordholm
Hosted by Dave Penzer
Interview available at Stitcher.com/podcast/sitting-ringside-with-david-penzer
On the biggest thing he’s learned since Anthem purchased TNA and started to run the wrestling business: “That producing content is very different than just broadcasting it. It was an eye opener as to how complicated the process is in getting the product done, the number of moving pieces, the complexity of the moving pieces, the personalities involved, the management of those personalities to come to a successful outcome. There’s been a lot about the industry that we were, perhaps, naïve in thinking it would be as straightforward as we thought it might be. We learned all kinds of lessons, I don’t know where to start.”
On whether there a certain point that he realized this was going to be harder than Anthem bargained for: “I would say that when we got into August and September of 2017, I think that was probably coming into our darkest period and we had to make some hard decisions on whether we could or should carry on.”

Does Anybody Really Care About Bully Ray's 'Theories'. On Anything? (Not me)

I just care enough to make jokes about them, But for the three people who may actually give two shits, here you go.
Bully Ray discussed the possible reasoning behind Styles facing Bryan instead of The Miz, and speculated that the Saudi Prince could have influenced Vince McMahon to make this match for this event.
"Remember when Rusev was supposed to wrestle The Undertaker [at Greatest Royal Rumble] and then Rusev got taken out of the match? Then it was going to be Jericho vs. Undertaker, and then Rusev was back in the match. You know why that happened? Because the Prince wanted Rusev in the match," Bully Ray said on Busted Open Radio.

"He was adamant, he was a Rusev fan. He said, 'no I want Rusev vs. Undertaker.' So, maybe he wants AJ vs. Daniel Bryan. When you're dealing with a bought show in wrestling, you're purchasing the show."
WWE reportedly is set to earn $450 million from their 10-year contract to put on events with the Saudi Sports Authority. While Vince McMahon undoubtedly loves WrestleMania, he may love money even more and he set this match for Crown Jewel to appease those giving him this money.
"Hypothetically, [the Prince] said 'This is the match I want' and Vince is going to accommodate him because it's an ungodly amount of money," stated Bully Ray. "So you give them the show that they want to see, you wrap it around a network special and you turn it into something. And that's what it really is."

Impact Wrestling's Streaming Service Is The Shits? Apparently So.

I'm glad I never tried to subscribe to this shit. Youtube will always be a great resource. :)

The Global Wrestling Network has some major problems, and there doesn't seem to be any plans anywhere to fix them.  Quite a few people I know canceled their subscription to the Global Wrestling Network. . The GWN app has apparently crashed numerous times and the website is very slow so according to some who have told me?  its pretty unusable. People reached out to GWN on Twitter and email to see if there were any plans to fix these problems and received no response. This cavalier type of attitude won't be getting any new subscribers and in the end will have more current subscribers saying "fuck this" and going elsewhere.

Editorial On How Bad Impact Wrestling Is That I Agree With (Callis Still Booking Silliness)

Don Callis said He was going to "get rid' of the silliness that's been on Impact, We're still waiting. And the question Callis can't seem to answer is, How is he going to get rid of the silliness if he's the one writing and booking the silliness? Boom. Too bad he dodges that question, eh? https://www.pwtorch.com/site/2018/10/09/editorial-bound-for-failure-how-impact-has-failed-its-long-time-supporters-once-again/#comment-118970

TAMMY SYTCH RELEASED FROM JAIL IN PENNSYLVANIA

WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch was released on parole today from the Carbon County Correctional Facility in Pennsylvania, where she had been held since late March, PWInsider.com has confirmed. Sytch was incarcerated there about seven months after having been extradited from the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in New Jersey to Carbon County on 3/28.  Sytch had been held in New Jersey since being arrested after failing to appear in court for two DUI arrests in New Jersey earlier this year.
While Sytch was being processed for multiple charges of Contempt - Disobedience/resistance in New Jersey, authorities learned that she was technically a fugitive from justice because a motion had been filed in August 2017 in PA requesting her February 2017 parole from the Carbon County in Pennsylvania be revoked.  A bench warrant for Sytch's arrest was issued to bring her in for a hearing over the issue, but since Sytch was not living in PA at the time, she could not be located to be served or taken into custody.  New Jersey authorities held her until PA authorities were able to come and extradite her. It  has not been confirmed whether her legal issues in New Jersey have been resolved.
