Maria Kanellis Interview- WWE Spread Misinformation About Her And Mike Bennett

In an interview with Shakiel Mahjouri for Cageside Seats, Ring of Honor’s Maria Kanellis talked candidly about her and her husband, Mike Bennett’s, run with WWE from 2017 to 2020. She began by detailing how she first learned of Bennett’s struggle with addiction early into their tenure.

“Let’s start from the beginning,” Kanellis said. “When Mike and I were picked up from WWE, it was in March of 2017. We were picked up in March and we were promised the world. We didn’t want to leave Impact. We were happy. They offered us more money and the exact same money that WWE had offered us initially. So what WWE did is they offered us a little bit more and they told us we didn’t have to move. I was fine with moving but, whatever, moving is expensive. So they sat us. They told us that we were possibly going to be on Raw after WrestleMania. It didn’t happen. They sat us at home. So here we are with all these promises being made and we’re sitting at home now for four months before they even decided to start talking to us. It was ridiculous. And so we’re already feeling very much like, ‘Why the hell did we make this decision to come to WWE?’

“We get down to Florida for the Mae Young Classic and Mike tells me he has this addiction. Nobody knew at that time. It was on a Saturday morning that he told me. We were supposed to be going to Disney World. He had spent all our money and I didn’t know. So we couldn’t afford to go to Disney that day. He was afraid he was going to die because he didn’t have any painkillers. So we didn’t tell anybody, we sat in a hotel room all weekend and I made sure he didn’t die".

“He had the whatever patch on his shoulder. You can actually see the Band-Aid over it in his match against Sami Zayn. We didn’t tell WWE because we were afraid that, because they hadn’t used us, they were going to just release us. So, we didn’t say anything. I rehabbed Mike. I’m the one that made sure he was taking his blood pressure medication. There was something else they gave him. It’s basically to make it so you can get out of being addicted to this.”

Shortly after that, Kanellis learned she was pregnant with her and Bennett’s first child. After not knowing what to do, Kanellis told WWE about the pregnancy, and they allowed her to stay home, even though Kanellis told them she could continue to make appearances.

“So then two weeks later, we found out I was pregnant,” Kanellis revealed. “Now, we weren’t trying. We had tried when we were in Impact, but we hadn’t been trying. I was under the belief that it wasn’t even possible at that point because we had tried before and it wasn’t happening. Just it so happened that we got pregnant at that time. Now, I was devastated. I didn’t know what to do. I wasn’t even really talking to Mike, I was only taking care of him. I didn’t even know if we were going to stay together at that point because he had lied to me for four-and-a-half years.

“WWE had no idea that Mike had this addiction and was in recovery. I find out I’m pregnant and it was early. I didn’t know if we’d even keep the baby because a lot of times if there’s going to be a miscarriage, it happens within those first few weeks. So, we held onto that information, and then Miz and Maryse announced they were pregnant. The very next day we told WWE. When we had our conversation with them, I said ‘I can stay on the road, I can work. My doctor said I am a very low-risk pregnancy. I’m healthy, so I could stay on the road as long as possible.’ WWE replied, ‘No, no, no. Stay home. Stay home.’ OK, fine.”

For years rumors have floated that Bennett went to rehab during this time on WWE’s dime. Both he and Kanellis have denied this, and Kanellis wasted no time doing so again in this interview.

“It was right around that time that Mike came out that he had an addiction and he was in recovery,” Kanellis said. “Now, he had already been recovering for weeks. I had already been through the gamut of watching his cellphone and keeping his iPads and everything so that he couldn’t go to a dealer. He was also starting on the road full-time, so this is where people screw it up. They say he went to rehab. He didn’t go to rehab. He was on the road full-time with WWE. He was afraid that he was going to lose his job if he told them, and he had already went through rehab by the time he told them. And that rehab was me, no one else. I was the one cleaning him up when he was sick and making sure that he didn’t die. So then we found out I was pregnant and then he told WWE about his addiction. So, in no way did we go into it believing, ‘Oh, WWE should pay for this.’ No, this is a very s****y course of events. It was incredibly difficult. There were times I didn’t think my marriage was going to last. There were times that I was afraid that I was going to get fired.”

Kanellis then jumped forward to 2019, when here and Bennett were negotiating new deals with WWE. As she has done in the past, Kanellis stated that she informed WWE of their plans to have a second child and for WWE to restructure her deal. They instead chose to offer her more money.

“So then, fast forward. We start conversations with WWE, our contract was up in June of 2019,” Kanellis explained. “We started talks and I was like, ‘Okay, guys. I am going to get pregnant again. Are you okay with that? Because, if you’re not, that’s fine. We just want to let you guys know just in case you want to change my deal. Like, if you want to have me be backstage, if you want me to just not re-sign, I’ll go somewhere else. But we’re going to have another baby because we want two kids that are close together and we want them to have each other when we go on the road.’ That’s just what we wanted to do. That was our family planning, and P.S., my family planning is nobody’s business. But because it was asked, I am answering you this.

“We told WWE. We had many conversations with them, ‘I’ll take less money, I’ll go on to pay-per-appearance, whatever.’ I was accepting of anything. But what I did know is I was not going to postpone my life because of WWE. Great opportunity, but I’ve already done it. I’ve already been to WWE. So, they come around with the contract. It’s more money and it’s not a pay-per-appearance deal. Nothing. I was like, ‘Guys, that’s great, but I’m going to have a baby. I want to get pregnant again. Are you guys OK with this?’ WWE said, ‘Yes. Vince loves kids.’ That was the exact line: ‘Vince loves kids.’ Okay, let’s go ahead and try. Try to get pregnant, got pregnant. We signed our contracts, found out I was pregnant two weeks later. So while we were negotiating, we were trying to get pregnant. They signed us anyways. Okay, not my fault.”

Kanellis further started that the rumors surrounding her and Bennett came from WWE themselves, in order to paint the couple in a bad light. She also noted that it was easy to find out the truth over the situation with just a little digging into information and past statements from those in, or associated, with WWE.

“From there, I started getting direct messages from different news outlets,” Kanellis said. “‘Oh, did you not tell them blah, blah, blah.’ Those rumors are coming directly from WWE and they are just trying to make us look bad so that when they release us they can feel better about it. But we gave them every opportunity to restructure my contract or not pay me as much. They came with more money. That’s not my fault. And so, those are the facts. Mike was on the road every single weekend during his recovery. He didn’t go to WWE recovery. They didn’t pay for his recovery.

“If they had, Mike would have ended up paying 50 percent of it back anyways through his contract. A little-known fact. Linda McMahon actually spoke about it during a congressional Congress interrogation, I guess you would call it. So you guys can look it up if you want facts. Those are the facts that even if they had, Mike would have paid for fifty percent of it anyways. But they did not. If you look it up, you can find out that Mike was on the road every single weekend that I was pregnant. He did not go to rehab. He did not go away.”

Kanellis also revealed that, contrary to other rumors, WWE’s involvement in paying for her to go to school were minimal as well. All in all, this was another attempt by Kanellis to keep the spreading of misinformation from coming out about her and/or Bennett.

“WWE did not pay for all of my schooling,” Kanellis stated. “They paid $2,000. I still have $70,000 in student loans. So all of these rumors and lies that people want to spin, be careful because the truth is much different. They gave me a scholarship and I appreciate the scholarship, but it was for $2,000. That doesn’t cover going to Johnson & Wales University. It just doesn’t. If you look it up, you can find the facts of how much it was that they gave me.

“So, I answered the question. It’s up to the fans to actually listen and do the research. It’s a simple Google search. If you want to see these things and actually reason them out, the information is out there. And I’m sorry that this world has gotten so full of misinformation. But again, most of these things, the facts matter, and so, look them up,” she concludes. “But I feel like it’s important for people to understand that there are facts behind it.”

Karl Anderson Gets Into Heated Battle On Twitter Over Response To WWE Reminder

Impact Wrestling World Tag Team Champion Karl Anderson is trending worldwide tonight after getting it into with several fans on Twitter over his response to WWE reminding their roster about mental health counseling after the tragic passing of former WCW/TNA star Daffney.

Daffney passed away on Wednesday night after posting an Instagram Live video where she was suicidal. WWE issued a text message to the roster today to remind them that they have access to company-paid mental health counseling if they need it.

He tried to delete but like all the others who get busted for saying shit they know they shouldn't have said, he didn't delete it fast enough and got pissed because other people kept retweeting it to him.

Here's the deleted tweet, right here.

Here's the obvious question nobody seems to have the balls to ask, SSOO It's again left up to me to ask.

Hey Karl, if you stand by what you said so much that you keep arguing with fans and 'marks', then why'd you bitch up and delete the tweet for?

"OOOOOO" I'll wait for that answer, bet I'll be waiting a long time now that he's been 'checked'.

I could post the LONG list of tweets where he goes back and forth but you can go to https://twitter.com/MachineGunKA And see it for yourself.

What I WILL DO, is post one tweet that stood out and that's this one. One that maybe ol Karl shouldn't have said because he's in no position (knowing the company he's currently working for) to say anything about it.

Well Karl seeing that you don't work for AEW on a consistent basis or NXT you really have no leg to stand on. And that's because YYOOUU work for IMPACT, a company whose product is so lam e most of the time that THEY, aren't good enough to be in competition with anybody.

"OOOOOOOO" 'checked again Karl, how's that feel? Feel the burn of that one?

Karl, you work for a company that has a product that was so bad that no network ANYWHERE wanted them. Anthem couldn't make a deal with anyone so they had to BUY a network that not everyone can get, just so IMPACT could have something resembling a 'TV DEAL'.

"OOOOOO" Damn, 'checked' and owned for the third time.

See? THAT is how you throw shit back at guys who shouldn't be speaking in the first place. THAT is how you put a guy like Karl in his place. Give him facts, not the same ol "mark" replies like "NXT was WWEE's developmental" answers. Everyone tries that predictable response. Give him facts like i laid out and he'll have shit to say.

And when he doesn't reply to what I say in this story? You'll see, that I'm right.

Then.. You can thank me for it.

Wrestling Observer's Staff STILL Have Trouble Posting The Correct Links, SSOO I'll Again Do It For Them (Updated 9-2-21 10:00 pm)

9-2-21 10:00pm

FOUR HOURS after this story was originally posted and Ethan, the man who posted the incorrect link STILL hasn't corrected it.

Four people sent me info on what happens when you actually let him know that he fucked up and this is the result.

So instead of actually CORRECTING the fuck up, he just goes and blocks anyone who in foprms him of his mistake. HHHMMMM.

I didn't bother to inform him as I'm letting the story speak for itself. it's on HIM to fix his mistake. (That is, if Meltzer allows him too, LOL ).

In the time it takes for him to block a person, he could've used that same amount of time to actually FIX, his mistake.

It must be some kind of "Meltzerism" to just block pewople who tell him he screwed up and continue to not fix your mistake.

Maybe it is a "Meltzerism" that fixing mistakes is "beneath us", LOL.

Several people sent me this because they know how I love posting stories on these kind of stupid screw ups. You really can't make this shit up.

First it was Dave Meltzer who's had a long history of not being able to post a link correctly, NOW we have this moron who writes for Meltzer's Wrestling Observer web page.

This was posted two hours ago.

Now, what happens when you click on the link this jack ass put in his story? THIS, is what you get.

YYEEPP, that link takes to to where you have to PAY, in order to see Fightful Select's story.

But you don't have to PAY to see it. And since this dumb fuck isn't capable of posting the correct link, I'll go ahead and do it for him.

HERE, is where you can see Fightful Select's story, and don't have to 'pay', to see it.

https://www.fightful.com/wrestling/britt-baker-has-signed-contract-extension-aew

How fucking hard was that to do? Not hard at all but apparently Meltzer's writing staff have this inability to post the correct links.

At least with WP&P. WWEEE give you the correct links, every time.

Too bad the same can't be said for those other so called 'major' wrestling news sites, LMAO!

So you can thank me yet again, for doing what Meltzer and his staff just can't seem to do. It'll always have to be left up to me to do, what they can't for some reason do.

You're welcome. (smiles)

SHANNON 'DAFFNEY' SPRUILL PASSES AWAY

Millie Camacho who runs the "From The Left Side Page on Facebook and I posted the pic below last night.

I posted it in the Facebook groups I'm involved in, but didn't post it here because I wanted to see what the end result of that was going to be.

Unfortunately, we now have that end result, and it's a sad one.

We here at Wrestling Past And present are extremely saddened to confirm the passing of Shannon Claire Spruill aka Daffney during her time in World Championship Wrestling.

Spruill, who was only 46, took her own life last night.

Her family announced it and you can see that here.

"@screamqueendaff. We are posting this at the request of her family. Please respect their privacy at this trying time. I will miss you my logical sister from another mister".

Fyfe told TMZ Sports that Daffney had been battling mental issues prior to her death.

Daffney worked from WCW from 1999-2001, and then worked for TNA from 2008-2011. She also worked for SHINE, ROH, and many other promotions. Her career included in-ring action, managerial work, and acting. She held the WCW Cruiserweight Title on one occasion.

UNITED WRESTLING NETWORK CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING ATLANTA DEBUT TAPING

The United Wrestling Network announced the following in support of tomorrow's debut in Atlanta, GA:

Hollywood, CA/Atlanta, GA  – Pro Wrestling returns to Center Stage Theatre on Thursday September 2nd courtesy of Peachtree TV and United Wrestling Network (UWN) with the all-new Championship Wrestling from Atlanta presented by CarShield.  The live television event will feature 3 huge main events including the long-awaited finals of the UWN World Championship tournament featuring Mike Bennett facing “Dirty Daddy” Chris Dickinson.

“When I was an NWA Promoter, I staged an event at Phillips Arena,” states Executive Producer David Marquez.  “I learned so much about the local wrestling scene that I hoped to someday return on more of a fulltime basis. About 3 years ago I was a part of the team that brought NWA Power to Georgia Public Broadcasting and fell for the town and fanbase again. I don’t go into new areas without local television partners, so I approached Meredith Broadcasting because they own WPCH-TV/Peachtree TV - the original home of pro wrestling in Atlanta and the former WTBS-17! With the pandemic in full swing, I wasn’t in any hurry to get on the air, so the station staff and our team took our time crafting the relationship. I’m so happy we’ll be on the air starting Saturday September 18th at 10P! Also, the question of venue came up. As much as I loved GPB, I went the other direction and landed in a location deep in Atlanta pro wrestling history, Center Stage. Many are telling me that Atlanta is oversaturated with pro wrestling and that may be true, but this isn’t my first original TV promotion. In the past 3 decades I’ve been a part of a lot of wrestling TV, but for 11 years, my own Championship Wrestling from Hollywood has been seen on close to 300 outlets and in two languages in the US. 5 years ago, we started Championship Wrestling from Arizona with Tucson’s CW and 2 years later we launched Championship Wrestling from Memphis with CW30 to great success. Monthly studio style television wrestling will truly return to Atlanta and I’m grateful to have the opportunity.”

The inaugural card features the very best from around pro wrestling today including talent featured in WWE, Impact, NJPW, AEW and local Georgia favorites.

Scheduled to appear:

United Wrestling Network World Tag Team Champions Danny Limelight and Slice Boogie “The Bodega”

The Awakening

“Drama King” Matt Rehwoldt

Zicky Dice

Lord Crewe

“Killer Bae” Heather Monroe

Baron Black

Violence of Action

Ohio Valley Wrestling Tag Tam Champions The Tate Twins

“Uptown” Andy Brown

Caleb Konley

Dani Jordyn

Reka Tehaka

Juicy Finau

Look At How Dave Scherer At PWInsider Makes Himself Look Like A Complete Idiot (Again)

Yesterday I posted a story featuring this pic right below, the story is at https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2021/08/pwinsider-posts-link-to-video-thats.html

Now I know every time i post like that, or one where Dave Meltzer fucks up when it comes tpo posting links on his Wrestling Observer web page, someone is always going to send a link to the story to whomever i wrote about.

Which is fine because if I'm not already doing it, having someone else do it works just as well.

So what happens when the link is sent to PWInsider, citing their mistake? First Mike Johnson and Dave Scherer try to be snarly about it to the Adam, who sent them the link. (I wonder if they were just as snarly to the three other people I know sent them that same link, I'd love to see those email or Twitter convos as well). Dave Scherer, who always claims on his Question and answer sections when someone writes him about someone like slamming him, claims he "doesn't care' what people say about him.

WELL.. That's truly bullshit as you're about to see, because if he really 'didn't care'? He wouldn't have wasted so much time and effort showing he does care, and getting his ass checked as a result of it.

Dave.. if you really didn't care, you never would reply in the first place, dumb ass.. BUT you did reply and show you really are, a dumb ass.

This isn't the first time Scherer has gotten 'checked' and put in his place by yours truly. Yes.. Just like Meltzer, and the recent pattern of Conrad Thompson video fuck ups, there's a pattern of Dave Scherer getting 'checked', over and over, and over again.

I swear, he just INSISTS on showing what a dumb shit he really is, and I'm more than happy to help him in that endeavor (smiles).

There's this link here.. https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2018/12/dave-scherer-at-pwinsider-makes-threats.html Arguing with some he kept ASSuming, was me.

Won't email me with his shit but rather argue with someone else who isn't me and just insist that person, is me. Fucking dumb ass.

Here's the one rare time he actually DID try to take me on in  an email exchange, and when he realized he was getting owned, he calls me a loser (When you see the latest exchange he does the same thing to someone else who owned him. Must be his M.O. when he knows his ass was handed to them, call em a loser then run away. https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2021/06/dave-scherer-pwinsider-tries-to-insult.html

Here's where he thinks a guy named Jeremy is me (rolls eyes). he gets 'checked' by me and anyone else who sends something he thinks is me LMAO! I truly, truly do love this moron mentality of his. https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2019/02/dave-scherer-of-pwinsider-gets-checked.html

Yes, Scherer is indeed, this stupid,, You can't make this kind of stupidity up.

Want more? Of course there's more. Scherer just can't stop making an ass out of himself so here's some more. https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2018/10/dave-scherer-at-pwinsider-again-gets.html

There's a couple more I can add but you get the jest, there's a pattern of Scherer making himself look stupid. It's really not that hard, and goes for it every time he gets 'checked'. He can't just admit when he got owned and spends more time making himself look like a complete moron than just admitting he got put in his place.

He reminds me very much of the "Marks" that have gotten 'checked' by, he does the very same thing they do, and ends up looking like an idiot in the end, just like they do.

Which now comes to what happened yesterday.

Adam, who has been an avid reader of this site for a while now (and works for one of the "Major" wrestling companies in this country, which one it is he requested that I don't reveal) sent him the link to the story I did yesterday. Now did ol Dave contact me about it? of course not cause that would've taken some balls, which Dave has shown he doesn't have.

So instead, he takes it up with the guy who sent him the link, and after he gets 'checked' by Adam, Scherer starts claiming Adam is me, aahahahahahahahaha!

Must be some REAL GOOD meds Dave's on if he thinks everyone who mails him a link that makes PWInsider look bad, is me, LOL!

Below is the email convo Dave had with Adam, and you'll see how Adam clearly 'treated' Dave and 'checked' him.

And there it is, the signiture 'insult' that shows Scherer knew he was getting 'checked', calling Adam a loser, LMAO!

After Adam sent him that reply about not being smart enough top shut up? Scherer FINALLY shut up, LMAO!

And they did fix (well, sort of, they just deleted it) the mistake as you'll see here.

It only took em 'THREE HOURS to do it. They could've done it sooner had they not been trying to get thermselves over arguing with Adam and failing at it.

But hey, didn't you know arguing with someone who sent you a message about a fuck up you did is WWAAYY MORE IMPORTANT than just going and fixing the fuck up immediately?

Like i said, you gotta love the mental midget mindset Scherer and Johnson have, gotta love it (chuckles).

I was about to finish this article when someone just sent me something else, something I can add to this.

Someone on Twitter sent Scherer my story and this, is how ol Dave replied to it.

A little touchy there, Dave? A little 'oversensitive' today? HAHAHAHAHAHA!

All they had to do was simply say "Yeah we fucked up" and simply fix it. But to them two jack asses that would make too much sense. "So much better' to argue and look like dimwits instead.

Yeah, that's just WWAAAYY BETTER, (shakes head and chuckles).

And before they can try and claim that nobody reads this site? I just took this pic 90 seconds ago.

So I'll go and take that argument away from them as well. Now? They have no arguments.

Rikishi Appears At Indie Wrestling Show

Check out the story here. https://www.dailyitem.com/news/pro-wrestling-returns-to-sunbury-with-wwe-legend-rikishi/article_4715bc86-085b-11ec-956e-4309bdb714a8.html

Manager James Mitchell Coming To The NWA?

The NWA taped matches for upcoming episodes of Powerrr at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel in St. Louis.

One of the interesting match ups that will be shown besides the interesting matchups they taped is the debut of Manager James Mitchell, who is both very under rated and was underutilized in Impact in recent weeks.

Mitchell debuted with Judais, who defeated Jeremia Plunkett at these recent tapings.

Having Mitchell back in wrestling will bring a nice breath of fresh air as he 'knows' what being a manager is all about.

Nice coup for Billy Corgan's NWA to get Mitchell.

PWInsider Posts A Link To A Video That's "Unavailable", LMAO!

Two people were kind enough to send me this.

Mike Johnson at PWInsider obviously, like Dave Meltzer at the Observer doesn't check links to see if they actually work before he posts them.

Here's a prime example of that, Something he did not more than TEN MINUTES AGO, AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

"Top Notch" Mikeypoo, "Five star, all the way" (sarcastic 'thumbs up')

Thankfully we here at WP&P. actually CHECK things before we post them.

Maybe guys like Johnson and Meltzer should do the same. Hell of a concept. :)

Trevor Murdoch On Winning The NWA World Championship

Less than a day after defeating Nick Aldis at NWA’s 73 Anniversary show, new NWA World Heavyweight Champion Trevor Murdoch joined Busted Open Radio to talk about his victory. Needless to say he was in a good mood.

“I am excited, I am tired, I am beat up. But I am happy,” Murdoch said. “I don’t know any other way to put it. I am extremely happy. Dreams don’t come true for most people and last night, that was a dream come true. Could not have gotten any better except if Harley (Race) was there with me.”

Murdoch talked about many things regarding the night, including Ric Flair coming out to congratulate him, celebrating with his family and sleeping with the NWA Title on his desk. It all has Murdoch at a loss for words, especially since the match could’ve easily gone the other way and led to Murdoch’s retirement (the match was Title vs. Career).

“Well first, I didn’t even expect for Ric to come out like that,” Murdoch said. “I was already doing my best to try and not cry, to be absolutely honest with you. And then when I saw Ric there, I was fighting back tears. One of the things I remember is I was emotional, and Ric said ‘you are the champion.’ I popped my head up and that kind of woke me up a little bit out of what was going on in the haze, that I finally did this. And I’m standing in front of the greatest NWA World Champion in the Chase, and I just couldn’t believe it. There have been some pieces, I actually have to go back and watch it, because it was all just a whirlwind of emotions. I’m usually not at a loss for words, because to be honest with you, part of me was expecting to have this conversation about that being my last match.”

The weekend appears to have been a successful one for the NWA, between the Anniversary show and the well received all women’s show EmPowerrr the night before. Murdoch revealed he was so focused on his own match that he missed most of the Anniversary show, though he revealed he would be catching it this week.

“I caught the very first match and those guys went out and killed it and did some amazing things,” Murdoch said. “And after I watched that first match, I actually walked away from the monitor, because they did such a great job that I didn’t want that to make me more nervous. Everybody, the women’s EmPowerrr show and all the guys on 73, they all stepped up to a whole other level. Tonight I plan on sitting down and watching the whole show and giving everybody their due respect to watch the matches.

“To be honest with you, I couldn’t have any other wrestling in my head except what I had going, if that makes any sense. My brain was full, and I felt that if I watched somebody else’s stuff, it may affect what I had going on that evening. I’m usually not like that but this was the most important match of my life, it’s the biggest moment of my life. It’s going to be very difficult for me to go any higher than I am, because I’m the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. And to be honest with you, I don’t think it gets any better than that.”

The Crash Lucha Libre has announced a spectacular interpromotional four-way dream match for its show on September 11 in the 4,500-seat Auditorio de Tijuana: Andrade versus El Hijo del Vikingo versus Fénix versus Taurus.

The show will be co-promoted with Major League Wrestling’s Azteca Underground brand. El Hijo del L.A. Park, L.A. Park, L.A. Park Jr. and King Muertes are the four luchadores listed on Azteca Underground’s website as of the publishing of this article (seen here), though Aramis, Arez and Matt Cross have all also been associated with the brand.

Andrade is set to face PAC at All Elite Wrestling’s All Out pay-per-view on September 5 in the NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois. At the same show, Fénix will team with his brother Pentagón Jr. to challenge Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson – the Young Bucks – for the AEW World Tag Team Championships in a steel cage match.

They say That El Hijo del Vikingo is one a literal highlight reel in human form.

Taurus joined Impact Wrestling as a member of the Decay stable alongside Crazzy Steve and Rosemary earlier this year.

Ace Romero Requests Release From Impact Wrestling (Impact Hasn't Made Much Of An "Impact" With Him Anyway)

Ace Romero has reportedly requested his release from Impact Wrestling

Romero had been teaming with Larry D as XXXL and were still under contract as of last month, with Romero on a paid-per-appearance deal, according to Fightful Select. However, Romero has requested his departure from the company.

Romero has not been used since the April set of Impact TV tapings, and nearly faced hospitalization due to COVID-19 in early May. He is said to be healthy right now and has wrestled for the Limtless Wrestling promotion (Based in Maine)in the last few weeks.

Romero first debuted with Impact in October 2019 at their All Glory special, defeating Larry D in the main event. He then signed a three-year deal that was offered by Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore.

Romero’s last Impact match came on the May 20 edition of Before The Impact as he and Larry D defeated Hernandez and Johnny Swinger.

Since Tommy Dreamer, Scotty D'Amore and others on the booking committee there haven't gone out of their way to have Ace make an "Impact" lately, its probably best to let Romero go and make an "Impact" somewhere else.

Brandi Rhodes Posts A Tweet, Then Quickly Tried To Delete It After She Got "Checked" (She Got "treated")

Brandi Rhodes attempted to make a stance of some sort about Black wrestlers but came off as quite clueless, and when she got "checked" and put in her place about it? She tried to quickly delete it.

BUT... She didn't delete it quickly enough.

Here's her now deleted tweet.

Yes Brandi, you HAVE been missing it.

Here's some of the replies that put Brandi in her place.

Needless to say, once she realized she was getting 'checked' she quickly tried to delete it. But didn't do it fast enough.

So since Brandi has CLEARLY been 'missing it' and pretty much has no knowledge about anything wrestling wise outside of AEW, let me go ahead and show her "where the love is" when it comes to black wrestlers in other companies.

Take note, I'm a white Irish/Polack and I seem to know more about Black wrestlers who have been featured well than her, and she's. black. Makes you go, HHHMMM.

I guess Brandi has no clue about the Reality Of Wrestling company based in Texas, owned by Booker T, a black wrestler.. Funny how HE has pushed many black wrestlers, male AND female well in his company.

Maybe someone should send Brandi some links from there to her so she can educate herself.

Then there's Darius Carter in Warriors of Wrestling He's been their champion and has been featured well in matches and angles.

I'll show you a few examples.

Here's a match between Carter and "The Pope" Elijah Burke.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bd6WqyT0ypc&t=41s

Oh damn, what's this? A match between Darius and current WWE wrestler Killer Kross? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAXPngpemOI

Oh but wait, wait wait wwaaiittt.. There's THIS from Tier 1 Wrestling.. Darius vs.. MATT RIDDLE! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRpWr2VFegU&t=224s

Yeah Brandi, "where's the love"? Obviously YOU, haven't been looking very hard if I can find it in less than three minutes.

I guess the names like Tasha Steele and Kiera Hogan don't come to mind either, eh? HELL, Kiera was on AEW's Elevation show a little over TWO WEEKS AGO!

Guess you were playing with your dog when that match happened?

I can keep going and going on this, listing example after example of how Brandi clearly has 'missed it'. It's way too easy.

Maybe Brandi should attempting to do a little something called "research".

"Research" can be a your friend Brandi, if you open your eyes and mind and allow it to be.

Adam Bomb - Why His 2001 WWF Return Didn’t Work Out

While he’s most known for his WWF work as Adam Bomb, the real-life Bryan Clark worked under both his real name and the Mortal Kombat-esque character Wrath in his second WCW stint.

During his World Championship Wrestling years, Clark found himself mixing it up with the promotion’s top brass.

“I kind of knew everybody.  Like with Sting and Luger, and Hall and Nash. Hogan, Flair, and Bischoff… easy going man,” Clark told Shining Wizards. “To me, my experience, it was fine because we had already worked that territory up at Vince’s place so we knew what a brutal hellacious schedule was like. And then to come to WCW and make five times the money at a lot easier pace, it was night and day. Goldberg is great. People don’t like him or whatever, but Bill has always been great to me and Brian [Adams] prior to KroniK and me even as Wrath. Just a great guy".

As Wrath, Clark found tremendous success. The former WCW Tag Team Champion enjoyed a lengthy undefeated streak and pioneered a variation of the pump-handle slam. Wrath was originally brought in to WCW as a Mortal Kombat-esque gimmick, but Clark emphasized he much preferred the later, dominant of the character.

“The no-joke Wrath [was better]. I mean, I went undefeated for six or seven months, or whatever it was,” Clark said. “And I had that meltdown finisher.  I invented it. A million people have done the pump handle but no-one ever took them up and over all the way like I did, and then tuck the head and make it a slam. You’ll see people hook that move, but they never [hook it], and a lot of people aren’t strong enough to do it.  I got Meng (Haku) in it, and he was 320.”

After a five-year stint in WCW, Clark would make his return to the World Wrestling Federation as one-half of KroniK, his WCW tag team with Brian Adams.

Despite big plans in place for the duo, Clark says he had big hesitations to jump to New York.

“It was just KroniK, and Brian [Adams] wanted to go a lot more than I did. I told Brian, and we talked about this.  I thought we should go to Japan right away. He was friends with Taker so he thought maybe we should go back to Vince,” Clark said. “We both left there and we always had that unsettling heat. We just felt like, and I even felt like, and he did once we got there, that this was not a good idea.

KroniK was set for a major feud with the Brothers of Destruction, but the rivalry fizzled out before it had the chance to gain momentum. The Undertaker and Kane defeated Clark and Adams at Unforgiven 2001, and the pair were taken off TV shortly after.

Clarke blames this on all four men nursing injuries at the time, noting that it was too rushed.

“They did a hotshot of an angle, but Kane had a big staph infection and I think Taker had a shoulder injury. I had basically a broken neck and we were all just banged up,” Clark said. “They didn’t give us the time, and I said, ‘Hey, let’s go on the road for a little bit and get a feel for each other versus just hotshotting it.’ It fell apart. Then we went to All-Japan like I suggested from the beginning.”
