Jon Moxley Talks Speaking Out Against WWE Creative

Since leaving WWE, Jon Moxley has already claimed the IWGP United States titleentered into the G1 tournament and become a major player in AEW. Moxley took time to sit down with the Store Horseman and discussed his thoughts on WWE and the catharsis he felt speaking about those problems.
"The only problem I really had with anybody was Vince," Moxley stated. "That's not even an actual problem, if he called me and asked what I'm doing and how it's going, I'd be like what's up man, it would be cool, we have never had a conversation that didn't involve wrestling. It's just creatively we stopped speaking the same language. Creative problems are not life and death problems."
Moxley detailed his problems with WWE creative last month on Chris Jericho's podcast, Talk Is Jericho. Despite Moxley being cool with WWE, he understands that some talent may not feel that way. His former Shield partner Seth Rollins recently said that it was a "little presumptuous" of Moxley to bash the company that "gave him such an opportunity." Regardless, Moxley feels it was healing for him to address the issues.
"I'm sure I'm persona non grata there," Moxley guessed. "For me, the fog is continuously being lifted, I realize how unhappy I was, how much it affected me. I found pro wrestling again, even when I did the podcast, it had been months of me being silent. People telling me about my career, it was frustrating hearing everyone talk about you when they don't know what the f--k they are talking about. I could never replicate that podcast."
Moxley said the down feelings were feelings he did not even recognize he had while in WWE. He also offered advice for people going through a similar situation.
"It's all in hindsight," said Moxley "In the moment it just felt good to get out. It wasn't even real to me. I was just like everything is good, punching the clock, working 9 to 5, living the dream. Once I said it out loud, it became real, but it is all good now. My advice for anyone is if you can identify that, don't be afraid to identify that and don't be afraid to be just honest with the situation. It can only get better from there. Keeping it to yourself just exasperates the problem."

JARRET, GLOBAL FORCE (Meaning Just Jeff Jarrett), SEEKING APPEAL OF DISMISSED COPYRIGHT CLAIMS,

Yes, this lame shit is STILL going on..

Global Force Entertainment and Jeff Jarrett (Which is just basically Jeff Jarrett) filed a motion seeking an interlocutory appeal, which allows a lawsuit to move forward while a certain aspect of it is being appealed.

GFE and Jarrett are asking that the court reconsider their decision to dismiss their copyright infringement claim against Anthem, the parent company of Impact Wrestling.  Anthem had argued that since GWE and Jarrett failed to copyright and trademark their GFW Amped! TV tapes and since Jarrett provided a license for Anthem to use the tapes, there can be no infringement.  Anthem also argued that by law, Jarrett & GWE should have filed their copyrights or have been refused registration in order to claim copyright infringement in court.  Since neither has happened – as Jarrett did not have physical possession of the GFW master tapes, which Impact has already admitted they deleted – Anthem argued that the infringement claim could not go forward in court.

In a motion filed on 7/3, Jarrett’s attorneys noted that the Court ruled “Plaintiffs have no rights under the Copyright Act, and their copyright claim will be dismissed” because GFE did not complete the registration process.”
Jarrett’s side argued, “It did not matter to the Court the reason the registration process could not be completed—namely, the infringers destroyed the only copy of the works-at-issue.    They noted that the current law does not consider a situation where the entity infringing on the copyright “destroyed the only copy of a work before application for registration and, therefore, making registration, or refusal thereof an impossibility because no deposit copy of the original work is available through no fault of the copyright owner.”

Jarrett’s attorneys argued, “The dismissal of Plaintiff’s copyright claim presents an important public policy issue regarding the deprivation of rights endowed to creators of the arts under Article I, Section 8, Clause 8 of the Constitution. The Court’s Order, and basis for the Order, signals future infringers that they may act with no fear of penalty under the Copyright Act if they destroy the only copy of the work before a copyright owner’s filing an application for registration. This is akin to giving a free pass to criminals solely because they destroy the evidence of their crimes. Second, and respectfully, the Court’s Order and Memorandum Opinion incorrectly applied the Supreme Court’s decision in Fourth Estate by holding that a lack of a registration extinguishes a copyright owners rights under the Copyright Act. The Court’s Order stated in pertinent part, “Plaintiffs have no rights under the Copyright Act, and their copyright claim will be dismissed.” Memorandum Opinion,  This is incorrect because ownership and existence of a copyright are separate from an ability to sue. Under the Copyright Act, the author of an original work has exclusive rights from the moment of creation of the work. Registration of a work is purely an administrative requirement before suing to enforce those rights. “

Basically, Jarrett is arguing his claim was dismissed because he and GWE did not complete the copyright process of the GFW AMPED! master tapes, but those tapes could not be copyrighted because Impact deleted the masters.  So, since they are at fault for that not taking place, his attorneys are arguing that should not let them off the hook.

Back in April, a motion from Jarrett and GWE noted, "This case presents a unique issue.  In anticipation of a merger that ultimately failed, Defendants came into possession of the only copies of master recordings of the sixteen (16) one-hour episodes (the “Episodes”) of Global Force Wrestling (“GFW”) AMPED content (the “Masters”) at issue. There is and can be no dispute that Defendants (1) had the only copy of the Masters and (2) destroyed the Masters. Plaintiffs have alleged each one-hour episode in the Masters is worth up to $300,000."

Jarrett’s side is requesting the interlocutory appeal now because waiting for the end of the legal process could require going back to another round of discovery and additional depositions as well as a second trial to determine the copyright claim.

LMAO! WWE Officials Upset With How The WWE UK Title Was Disrespected At A Recent OTT Indie Event

This is the clip of what the WWE has its panties in an uproar about.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAZW72wZ-WI
WWE officials are reportedly not happy over how the WWE UK Title was used at a recent indie event in Ireland, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Indie wrestler David Starr, who has spoken out against WWE several times in the past, faced WWE UK Champion WALTER in the main event of Over The Top Wrestling's WrestleRama 3 event in Dublin, Ireland from the National Basketball Arena, back on June 23. They did an angle during the match that saw Starr grab the title, shout at WALTER for selling out, and then disrespect the title by stomping on it. Fans in the arena popped for the spot and WALTER would go on to win the match.
It was originally believed that WWE approved the angle with the title belt, but that's not the case. WWE did not give the OK for the belt to be stomped on, and very few knew about it ahead of time. The Observer reports that WALTER and Starr made the call to shock people live, knowing it would get over in a big way. The reaction from within WWE was not positive as many wrestlers thought it was disrespectful and the higher-ups weren't happy either.

JERRY LAWLER'S FORMER PODCAST PARTNER GLENN MOORE ACCUSED OF SCAMMING LISTENERS OF THE SHOW

WMC in Memphis, TN is reporting that Jerry Lawler's former podcast partner, Glenn Moore, is accused of scamming people out of money in return for Lawler original artwork that The King had no knowledge he was selling.

A Lawler fan named Jason Lurie took Moore up on an offer that was made on the podcast where Lawler would do original art for listeners.  Lurie reached out to Moore and was told that he could get an original drawling for $250.

Lurie then reached out to Moore and asked about an oil painting of his cat and was told it cost $1,500.  He claims he sent the money via Paypal and never received the painting.

He contacted Lawler via social media and registered letter and got no response.  Finally, he had a lawyer contact Lawler, who he told could be liable under Tennessee law.

Once Lawler found out about the alleged scam being run by Moore he told WMC:

“I’m totally shocked by this behavior. I mean, we did like 90 podcasts together over a period of years. This is a guy I thought was a friend and I trusted him. I’m certainly sorry this has happened.”

Lawler said that Moore lost his job last December and changed after that.  Lawler also stated, "We're gonna work to try to make this thing right. One way or another. Hopefully, we'll be able to get people's money back. If not, we'll get them the artwork they tried to buy."

The story states that other fans took to social media to claim that they have been duped by Moore as well. Check it out here. https://www.wmcactionnews5.com/2019/07/05/jerry-lawler-plans-make-amends-amid-art-scam-accusations/

Get A Load Of This Bullshit Claim By WWE.. Someone Please Teach Them How To Lie Better

Get a load of this blatant bullshit.

HHMM, Seems to me Drew McIntyre cut his teeth on the UK scene long before coming to EVOLVE, so that's wrong.

Daniel Bryan wrestled in japan for NOAH and new Japan and if memory serves me (and at least a thousand other people) he cut his teeth, where? OOHHH.. RING OF HONOR. I'm sure I can name several other indie groups he was in BEFORE EVOLVE as well.

These kind of lies are SSOOO easy to punch holes thru, makes you wonder WWE insists on being this stupid

Ricochet? HHMM oh yes.. I guess New Japan, DragonGate, and PWG don't count? OOHH I know why they won't count according to the "WWE Mentality". Unless you have some kind of working agreement WITH.. WWE, they won't acknowledge what is very much, very obvious.

Time to go to lying school WWE, it's obvious you're not very good at it.

WWE Notes

The creative process at Raw last night was no different from any other week, with Vince McMahon being the lead person in charge.  He and Paul Heyman were both at the gorilla position together for much of the show.  While the show had a lot of Paul Heyman fingerprints on it, the end call on everything was still Vince McMahon.

For those who are asking, Maria Kanellis is indeed pregnant, as announced on Raw.  The story that is making the rounds is that Kanellis informed WWE she was expecting again after she and Mike Kanellis signed new deals with the company.

The belief is that Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows have agreed to terms on new WWE deals but may not have signed them yet.  All signs were that the duo would be exiting this Fall when their current deals expired as they had turned down some lucrative five-year offers from the company.  At the time, those close to the duo had pointed to the creative (well, the lack theorof as they hadn't been used in forever) as a major reason they were looking to exit.  It would appear being placed in a top heel group with AJ Styles may have changed that.  We have not been able to confirm they have actually signed deals.

While Corey Graves teased he was fined on social media today, his "holy sh**" call on commentary was planned and approved.  The comment was not bleeped out in the United States, Canada or Great Britain.  Raw airs on a seven second delay, so the company could have easily bleeped Graves if they felt it was an issue.

Eric Bischoff was not backstage at Raw but will be there tonight for Smackdown in San Antonio.

Rhyno's WWE deal expires on 7/17.

IMPACT WRESTLING NEWS

Impact Wrestling signed D'Lo Brown to a full-time, multi-year deal as a Producer over the last day.  Brown had been getting excellent reviews for his work in recent months and has already built a reputation for being someone who collaborated with talents as opposed to trying to push what worked for him as a worker onto their matches.  A number of talents in recent weeks had pushed for Brown to be brought on.

We are told the company is in the process of signing another Producer as well.

Mahabali Shera recently did some media rounds in India promoting his return to the company and will be back this summer.  Shera had returned to India after spending a number of years here in the States in order to spend time with his family.

There's been some buzz about Impact signed talent Bhupinder Singh, who is under a developmental style contract and has been training in Windsor, Ontario with a number of those who have worked with him raving about his potential and his continued improvement.

Impact Champion Brian Cage will be doing a ton of media over the next few days locally in Dallas, Texas.

Lucha Libre Promotions ran at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds yesterday in conjunction with the Super World Con, which announced all kinds of giant names with a ton of them canceling in the last two weeks because this was a gigantic mess.  The wrestling show drew 70 fans for a four-match show that had Mecha Wolf vs. local Payaso de Rodeo, when Puma King had travel issues so they said, and Juventud Guerrera beat Drago in the main event.

Another Example Of Why You shouldn't try And Fuck With A Guy Who Has Knowledge.

Won't say what group this is in but.. I do love how people call me out on something, I call the bluff and then they try and spin their way out of the fact they got it thrown back at them..

Plus this guy actually said that Owen hart isn't Hall Of Fame worthy.

(rolls eyes)..

Eli Drake Gives Details On Why He Refused The Intergender Match Against Tessa Blanchard

During Eli Drake's recent appearance on The Chris Van Vliet Show, he thoroughly addressed the issues he harbored surrounding the intergender match against Tessa Blanchard that was originally scheduled for Impact United We Stand on April 4th. Drake first learned about the scheduled bout on social media, and furthermore, this was only after one other Impact star had already turned down the match.
"So, they announced the match and I had no prior knowledge of it; nobody had said anything," Drake said. "I find out about it on Twitter. That's not terribly abnormal, I don't think. I think that it's a more special situation though, only because I know that somebody else had already turned that match down because of his own discomfort with it. I understand that they have pressure to announce events and get it out there. I completely understand that [and empathize] with that."
Drake is one of the many that believe Blanchard is indeed an "undeniable" performer. Even still, he personally doesn't want to be a part of an intergender pro wrestling match if he can avoid it.
"When I saw the announcement, I immediately emailed the necessary outlets and said, 'Hey guys, I'm not comfortable doing this. I will wrestle anybody else on the roster, I'm just not very comfortable doing an intergender match,'" Drake recounted. "I have amazing respect for Tessa Blanchard; I've told many people that she is easily the best female wrestler in the world. She is so intense with everything she does, and her facials, and moves."
Ultimately, Drake believes that a women competing on the same level as men in pro wrestling isn't realistic enough to pursue. He feels a similar way about competing against performers that are significantly smaller than him.
"I don't even like wrestling really small guys a lot of the time. It just feels phony," Drake explained. "Some people are gonna disagree with me on this but I kind of like to use people who aren't big time wrestling fans as kind of a litmus test. I had a show in North Carolina last year and the guy that I wrestled was easily 100 pounds lighter than me. [My girlfriend] was like, 'It looked like father and son wrestling in there. It looked like you were beating up a child.' So thinking about that and knowing that I'm leaving the company, I know that I'm not going over. That's fine, and for the most part, that doesn't matter, but at the same time, I don't want to completely crush my brand."
