THIS.. Is What Happens When You Have A Working Agreement With The WWE

Southside Wrestling announced that WWE has pulled all of its NXT UK talent from their farewell show on October 26. Revolution Pro Wrestling is taking over Southside operations starting on October 28.

And if that wasn't bad enough, here's this one.. 

wXw announced that WALTER won’t be appearing at Sunday’s World Tag Team Festival event due to a scheduling conflict. It was noted that Ilja Dragunov will still be on the show.

SO.. Here's the 'genius' of the WWE, showing how fucking stupid they are.. WxW has a show called The World tag team festival, one of the main tag teams that's been most hyped for this show (and I've seen the hype on it) IS WALTER and Ilja Dragunov... So in some 'brilliant, brainfart moment' the WWE decides to only pull ONE MEMBER of the stated most hyped tag team? WHAT THE FUCK are WxW supposed to do with just ONE MEMBER of this team now? It defeats the whole fucking purpose of even HAVING them there if the WWE is gonna pull only ONE MEMBER, and leave the other one there. 

Someone besides me does realize this makes WWE look stupid as hell, right? If you're gonna pull one, why not pull both Especially when the show you're pulling that one member of a tag team from is a TAG TEAM FESTIVAL.. DUH! Dumb ass.. 

I guess I'd be the only one with the balls (cause I've always been 'that guy') to call WWE on this and say "Let's see this alleged 'scheduling conflict', and then ask "why is it suddenly NOW, a scheduling conflict, when it wasn't when you first agreed to let them BOTH, appear on the show? I'd be asking for proof, PROVE there's an actual REAL conflict.. Show me proof and I bet, WWE would just show excuses. 

I went thru this bullshit when I worked for WWA New England in 1998. I had a show i was locally promoting for WWA NE that had the WWF's Training Dojo on it.. And two people on the dojo (Al Snow and Jim Cornette) were pulled from the show i was locally promoting, BUT.. Were going to appear on the WWA NE's show THE NEXT NIGHT in Milford, Mass. We had the posters, the flyers with their names on it so when i heard they were pulled (day of the show no less) I had WWA NE owner Fred Sparta get on the phone with who he dealt with at WWF.. (Howard Finkel).. Took me 15 minutes of nonstop bitching and swearing to get Fred to do it but a threat of him never having another show in NH (Cause I said I'd quit and get a gig with another New England indie group and have them bring shows up here) to get Finkel on the phone..

Finkel asked who I was and I said "I'm the mother fucker who got this show together here in Farmington, NH, mother fucker, and I want to see proof that Snow and Cornette are allegedly 'double booked' and are in Nashville tonight". I said "I have people who bought tickets so they could see Cornette and Snow and if you pulled them, I want to provide proof to the reason you're giving, so fax me, or email me the fucking proof, cause I'm calling bullshit on this".

Funny how that proof never came.. Alot of excuses came though, but never did any proof to their excuse ever materialize.. Imagine that.

So yeah, If I was working for WxW I'd be asking for some proof. And calling bullshit on the WWE. Because if this.. is the kind of shit you get thanks to having a working agreement with them? I'd be wanting to leave that agreement, telling the WWE "See ya, this agreement isn't, 'working' with us, anymore".

In the end what the WWE did was indeed, a bitch move on their part.

I personally had the pleasure of knowing the late Steve Bradley.. When I lived in NH he was working for Sylvano Sousa's Atlantic Wrestling Federation.. Which rans shows in NH and Mass. Sousa ran regularly in Manchester, NH and I along with a friend of mine were able to tape Sousa's shows. I had the copies of those tapes as I traded and sold wrestling tapes in the tape trading scene back in the 90's. 

I know for a fact that a tape I helped him compile of matches from Sousa's shows is what helped get him a WWF Developmental deal that had him go to les Thatcher's HWA, Memphis Power pro, IWA in Puerto Rico and i believe some time in OVW as well. 

Steve was one of many that the WWF (Now WWE) missed the boat on in a huge way. he had all the talent, the mic skills and the right attitude, WWE, just didn't see what many many many fans saw..

I'm glad Rocky Raymond made this, this shows why Steve was a superstar and why he should've been used better in the WWE than he really was.

New NWA World Tag Team Champions 1st Match (2019)

The NWA World Tag Team Championships returned to the spotlight at the Crockett Cup in 2019 when Villain Enterprises (PCO & Brody King) won the prestigious tournament and the NWA titles. IMPACT WRESTLING MOVING TO TUESDAYS ON AXS TV

Beginning in late-October, Impact Wrestling will air Tuesdays at 8 PM Eastern on AXS TV.

Impact will debut in the time slot starting on Tuesday, October 22nd with a preview special with Tuesday, October 29th as their official launch date. The preview special will recap the October 20th Bound For Glory pay-per-view, preview the weekly series, as well as air non-televised matches from BFG.

The show will remain at two hours.

AXS, home to New Japan Pro Wrestling and Women of Wrestling, will run Homecoming (October 1st), Rebellion (October 8th), and Slammiversary (October 15th) in their entirety in the weeks leading up to the preview special.

Since the company's creation in 2002 as NWA-TNA Wrestling as a PPV-only venture, they have aired on Fox Sports Net, Spike TV, Destination America, POP TV, the Pursuit Channel, and Twitch. AXS will be the exclusive United States broadcast arm.

in early-September, Impact parent company Anthem Sports & Entertainment acquired a majority stake in HDNet, the parent company of AXS TV, and announced shortly thereafter that Impact would be moving to AXS.

After listening to it, i made a reply about how Callis had said on his own podcast that HE, was 'going to get rid of the silliness that has plagued Impact for years". I've brought this up several times since he made that claim that, how can he 'get rid of the silliness' if he's now THE ONE writing and booking the silliness, and how he never seems to have an answer to that..

Dustin Rhodes On Being AEW's Promo Coach, What He's Hoping To Accomplish In That Role

After spending most of his career with WWE under the gimmick of Goldust, Dustin Rhodes is now bringing his 30 years of wrestling experience to AEW. His first match was a brother v brother match with Cody but Dustin is also in AEW to provide backstage help in the form of cutting promos and even would like to run an AEW wrestling school.

Dustin talked more about the art of promos when he took part in an interview with Bleacher Report.

"I've been hired as a promo coach, and I want to help teach them how to talk," Rhodes said. "You don't have to take this gigantic paragraph of text and memorize that s--t word for word, because it's going to come off bland and not true to your character.

"We'll work out who the character is and figure out which way they think they should go, which way the company wants them to go, and find a happy medium. I can teach them to cut promos where they don't need to be on a script constantly. We can hit some bullet points and make it their own. The key is stepping out of your comfort zone and taking a chance. Take a chance on making something cool."

His comments jibe with AEW's mantra since day one in that they will not hire any writers. It will be on the wrestlers themselves, with help from veterans like Rhodes, to develop their characters and come up with promos.

"Some of these wrestlers have never really done promos, and a lot of them have never done TV. They are nervous about it, and those are the ones I'm going to push the most," Rhodes said. "Let's see it. Let's hear it. With some oomph and conviction. Give me what my dad used to give us: charisma. I want to see your character. That's what I'll do my best to teach."

In addition to helping with promos, Rhodes will also assist with storytelling in the ring. He still wants the wrestlers to be their own characters and not have their hands held like what may go on in other promotions, but Rhodes can give them little nuggets that will make them stand out.

"We will have time to tell stories and not be stuck trying to do a four-minute television match. That's exciting to me, and I think I can help them learn how to be a babyface, how to be a heel, how to sell, how to tell a story. Put a big move over here instead of where they want to put it—and trust me on these things and trust that it will work," Rhodes stated.

How About Bringing Back A Watchable Product Instead Of.. WWE Reportedly Bringing Back Pyro To TV Soon

Spending all that time, money and energy on new sets and pyro won't cover up the fact your product is stale as a mother fucker and there's no logic from week to week.. I guess it's less of a challenge to bring pyro back over presenting a product worth being interested and invested in, got it..

WWE will reportedly begin making significant changes to the look and feel of RAW and SmackDown next week.

WWE is set to bring back pyro to their weekly RAW and SmackDown TV shows next week, according to a new report from @Wrestlevotes. It was noted that fireworks will once again be a fixture on WWE programming, which comes after WWE reportedly cut back on expenses a few years ago.

It was reported over the weekend, via @Wrestlevotes, that this week is the final week that WWE will be using the current entrance stage. RAW and SmackDown are set to receive "updated, fresh feeling" sets next week. There will apparently be a new set for RAW and a different set for SmackDown.

AEW DYNAMITE PREMIERE TO RECEIVE SATURDAY MORNING REPLAY

TNT is listing a Saturday 10/5 10 AM EST replay for the first episode of All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite.  The series will debut on Wednesday 10/2 at 8 PM Eastern.

WarnerMedia's sister cable network TruTV is listing a preview for the TNT debut, airing on 10/2 at 7 PM.  This appears to be a replay of the AEW TV preview special that is listed to air on TNT on Tuesday 10/1 at 8 PM EST.  That had initially been slotted for a two-hour broadcast, but is now listed for as a one-hour airing.

THE DAILY BEAST COVERS THE PASSING OF BRIAN 'CHRISTOPHER' LAWLER INCLUDING NEW DETAILS ON HIS ARREST

The Daily Beast in Great Britain featured a long piece by Keith Elliot Greenberg, who has written for and about WWE for many years, including several official WWE books, about the passing of Brian "Grandmaster Sexay" Lawler while incarcerated.  The piece features interviews with Jerry Lawler and Brian's brother Kevin.and covers Lawler's ongoing lawsuit as well.

It's Interesting to note it is reported in the piece that the night Brian Lawler was arrested for DUI, he had a zero blood alcohol level after offering to take a breathalyzer, allegedly making a deal with the arresting officer that if he hit a zero, he would not be arrested.  The police report stated that Brian blew a .000 per 210 litres of breath.   The officer arrested him anyway.  Lawler was followed home as he crossed over the yellow lines while making a turn, which he later claimed was because he used his knee to control the steering wheel.  

“Technically, he never should have been [in jail],” Kevin Lawler said.  “It’s like The Dukes of Hazzard.  The cops see him constantly getting out of stuff, and they’re looking to put him away.

The article also noted that Jerry Lawler was prepared to bond his son out, but Hardeman County Sheriff John Doolen had convinced him that the best course of action was to leave Brian incarcerated as he'd likely end up with a 90 day jail sentence and he'd be credited for time served - and while being incarcerated, he could receive treatment for drug and alcohol issues, which according to Jerry Lawler never happened.  It was also noted that while he was incarcerated, Christopher was only given aspirin and his medication for depression, forced off his other prescribed medications cold turkey, going into withdrawals and dealing with pain issues.

The day of Brian Lawler's passing, he got into a fight with another inmate.  According to the article, the fight was over Lwler being loud while playing cards.  He got into the argument with the other inmate and the other inmate, Tommarian Williams, yelled for Lawler to stop.  Lawler did and went to pull up his prison-issue pants, which had slipped down but Williams allegedly struck him in the face when Lawler had his head down.  Lawler demanded to be taken to a plastic surgeon in an ER but was told it was Saturday and he would have to wait until Monday by a nurse working at the jail. 

“That is not a decision that should be made by an LPN,”  Jerry Lawler's lawyer, Jeffrey S.Rosenblum said.  “She should have called a doctor or advanced practice nurse, described the wound and mentioned that he wanted stitches. But he was told, ‘It’s Saturday. You’ll have to wait until Monday.’  He was put in a solitary confinement cell without evaluating him for suicide risk.”

Lawler was given a band-aid for his wound and moved to a solitary cell, but did not have his shoelaces removed.  The cell featured bolts on the wall, which allowed Lawler to allegedly hang himself, something that his father has gone back and forth on whether he actually believes happened.

As previously reported, a big part of the lawsuit Jerry Lawler and Brian's estate has filed is over the fact that Brian had told officials at the jail that he had previously tried to commit suicide, but since it was several years before, it was not recorded in the computers and allegedly, they did not take the proper course of action to prevent him from being in a situation where he could harm himself.    The article also alleges that one of the guards saw Brian standing with a towel over his head on a bench in his cell and ignored him, instead throwing garbage out, and when he returned to the cell later, realized something was wrong.  The allegation is made that had the guard immediately checked on Brian Lawler, he may have prevented him from taking his own life.  

After Brian Lawler's death, Jerry Lawler texted a photo of his son's body to Sheriff John Doolen.

“I told him, ‘I trusted you and believed you when you told me my son would be safe in your jail, and now, he’s dead,’” Lawler said.  “Doolen texted back, ‘I’m sorry for your loss.’”

SECOND SUSPECT IDENTIFIED, CHARGED IN VANDALISM OF CRUSHER STATUE IN MILWAUKEE

The Journal-Sentinel in Milwaukee is reporting that 21-year old Douglas Macklin of Pembine, Wisconsin has been identified and charged with criminal damage to property in relation to the vandalism and damage done to the statue erected earlier this year in honor of former AWA World Champion Reggie “Da Crusher” Lisowski.

A warrant has been issued for Macklin's arrest and if convicted, he could face a $10,000 fine and or up to nine months in prison.

As noted earlier this week, 18-year-old James C. Dudgeon of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin has already been arrested and charged with with criminal damage to property after being caught in video vandalizing the statue.  Due to the nature of the statue being a tribute to a legendary professional wrestler, the story was picked up nationally.

Lisowski's family noticed damage to the statue on 8/29 and immediately notified the local police.  Police were able to identify Dudgeon and another 21-year old (who has yet to be arrested but has been identified by police) via video surveillance as the pair used a concrete block to cause $1,200 worth of damage to the statue.  Dudgeon was identified due to previous interactions local authorities had with him in the past.

The criminal complaint against Dudgeon notes that he admitted on 9/12 to using a brick to damage the statue, stating that he and a group of friends were near the statue when others talked about throwing a brick at it.  Claiming he didn't believe it to be a big deal, Dudgeon admitted he struck the statue to "be cool."  He told the authorities he would pay for the damage to the statue and apologized.  Dudgeon has been incarcerated since 9/12, as this arrest is considered a violation of a previous parole or probation he was under for a previous offense.  Dudgeon plead not guilty to the charges.

The memorial statue to former AWA star The Crusher was unveiled this past June as part of the first-ever "Crusherfest" in South Milwaukee after $40,000 was raised through crowd-funding and donations to erect the statue.   Baron Von Raschke was among those in attendance for the weekend.  

Mayor Erik Brooks issued a proclamation on unveiling day, naming June 8, 2019 as Reggie “Da Crusher” Lisowski Day in South Milwaukee.  The memorial is located at on the corner of 11th and Milwaukee in South Milwaukee and will be shaped like a wrestling ring with a statue of The Crusher elevated within the ring.  The artist who crafted the statue, Beth Sahagian, has already stepped in to repair the damage.

Reggie “The Crusher” Lisowski passed away in 2005 at 79 years old.  He was billed as "The Wrestler That Made Milwaukee Famous" and was an extremely popular blue-collar brawling babyface for the AWA.   He was inducted into WCW's Hall of Fame in 1994 and was voted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2005.  He's certainly a likely candidate for future inclusion in the WWE Hall of Fame's Legacy Wing.

Kenny Omega Slams NXT And Wasn't Polite About It, LOL (Boom)

 AEW Executive Vice President Kenny Omega recently spoke with Sportskeeda and had some interesting comments on the "Wednesday Night War" talk between AEW and WWE NXT.

Omega said if pro wrestling was just one big promotion, the NXT talents would be working the dark matches to his main events. He said there is no comparison between the two companies as AEW has real stars and not just developmental talents.

"You can call it a war if you want, it's just like... to me it's like we're in a completely different kind of business," Omega said. "What they're doing is different than what we're doing and it's hard to say you're going to war with people that I call my friends, and yet we are going to war, and yet when I sit back and look at the grand picture, it's like I'm going to war with dudes that if we were on the same show together, the same show and the same promotion... let's pretend there were no wars, let's pretend there were no promotions, let's pretend there's just one promotion. If these guys were on the same show as me, they'd be in the dark match. They'd be in the opening match for my main event match.

"You're going to call that a war? You're going to call that competition? Go ahead. Maybe it's fun for you to do, that's cool, but we're different planets and you're going to see that right away when you see 10,000+ arenas sold out, you're gonna see smiles on fans' faces, and you're gonna see real stars, not developmental talent, but real stars appearing on your television sets every week."

AEW's "Dynamite" show will premiere on Wednesday, October 2 from 8-10pm ET on TNT. NXT made their Wednesday night live premiere on the USA Network last night.
