This is from Sylvano Sousa's Atlantic Wrestling Federation show, 1997 in Manchester, NH). The Late Walter 'Killer' Kowalski is special referee. Also has current ROH Ring Announcer (before he got to the big time of ROH) Bobby Cruise.

ROH's Bobby Cruise does both ring announcing and commentating on this next match.. He did such a great job that I wish he commentated all the matches. 1st match - The Boston Brawler vs Holocaust. Look for run-ins from Brutal Bob Evans, Jerry Blue and WWE Damien Sandow's very 1st time in a wrestling ring. He'll be wearing blue jeans and sneakers. Starting at 8 minutes is The Hardcore Clown vs Prince Albert in a Hardcore match. Look for a fire extinguisher, steel chair,, brief case, broom stick, metal trash can, cooking pan and even a Coke machine. WWA World Westling Alliance in Leominster, Massachusetts. Matt Bloom. NEW: The Cutting Edge Experience (E38) - CEW Interviews and Promos 2014-2018

Fans Leave At Intermission At WWE Chicago (LMAO! Bet WWE Will Sidestep This Story, As Usual)

This tells you how great WWE's product is, LMAO!

Fans at last night's WWE live event in Chicago almost missed the main event of the show, which saw SmackDown Women's Champion Asuka retain her title over Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat. WWE did not announce what the main event was and fans started leaving after the Steel Cage match that saw WWE Champion Daniel Bryan retain over Mustafa Ali and The Miz, which was before intermission.

Don Callis Says Impact On Pursuit Will Be "Sexier, Edgier, Maybe Even A Little More Hardcore"

Don Callis was on his Killing The Town podcast, thanks to Wrestling Inc. contributor Himanshu D. for sending this along: and talked about various topics related to IMPACT. You can listen to the podcast here:
Raven appearing on IMPACT:
"How awesome was it to have Raven on IMPACT television? I gotta tell you, I was like a kid in a candy store, came up with this idea to have Raven. I always love hanging out with him and I learnt so much even now just talking to him. I gotta tell you he was so great, my god just out there — no one scripted Raven. Raven just has great timing and he was great. Josh Mathews described him as the Keyser Söze of pro-wrestling and I think that's right. I think that that is the ideal character for Raven at this point in his career it is to be Keyser Söze, the criminal, the ultimate master mind. I think that would be really cool. So that was a really awesome thing to see Raven."
Working with IMPACT after being inactive from the business for many years:
"Being with IMPACT — you gotta understand, I was out of the business by my own choice for 13 years or more. To get back into the wrestling business and start tweaking those old scratches and itches and enjoying myself, it was just great. And people ask, 'What was the best part? Is it the travel?' Honestly, the best part for me is working with the talent. I always loved that. I always loved trying to play a role and passing on whatever knowledge I had, whether it was with the promos or how to get something over, get yourself over. Those are areas that I think I was pretty good at over my career. It's just really cool. It's hard work, it's a grind, I have never been on the road this much. It's really cool."
Sami Callihan:
"Even a guy like Sami Callihan is effectively a psychotic. He is a functioning psychotic. Sami and I have had our ups and downs without a doubt. Sami has taken some liberties with me. If I were a wrestler, I probably would have something to say about it. But one thing I will say about Sami, Sami like I was is all about getting himself over. And some people don't like that. Some people say, 'God this selfish son of a b---h, he is just getting himself over' and you know what I say to that? I say, 'You're an idiot' because that's the whole point of this business. If you are not constantly trying to get yourself over, and sometimes that means at the expense of other people — not everyone gets first prize, ladies and gentlemen. And if you think that you do then you are just never going to be over and Sami is a guy who is constantly trying to out wrestle, out fight, out talk, out do, out promote everybody else. And I love that about him."
Jake and Dave Crist:
"I can't stand The Crist brothers. That's a redemption story too. I wanted to fire those guys when I first came into IMPACT. I'd seen them on TV a couple of times. I was like, 'What?' But this is the thing, people say, 'Oh you like the Crists now. They are really cool. What they do, they are great heels. What did you do, Don?' I didn't change anything about the Crists. We didn't change anything about the Crists. We let the Crists be the Crists. My thing was always I want Jake and Dave to have their time. Yeah, Sami is Ric Flair and those guys are Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson. That's not a bad thing. Not everyone can be Ric Flair. That's Sami Callihan. But that doesn't mean that Tully and Arn don't have their own thing. And I want Jake and Dave and we all want Jake and Dave to have their own thing. And man, I tell you they have really stepped up. Jay Crist doing the 'mini draw' thing to me is... man, I love that is just so ridiculous and crazy and awesome. Dave Crist has got some of the best facials in wrestling on these promos and Sami is Sami."
Johnny IMPACT:
"You talk about guys like Johnny IMPACT. He's our world champion and man, he's been a pleasure as well. Such a good dude. You talk about the prototype world champion, that's the guy."
Brian Cage:
"Getting to work with Brian and I think that maybe my tone and my way of talking to Brian early on might have been a bit of a shock to him. And I'm not going to get into what was said, but if you listen to this podcast you kinda know. I wanna see aggressive, driven, selfish Brian Cage. GMSI stands for 'Get My s--t In', it doesn't stand for 'Get Your s--t In Too'. I love working with Brian and I think Brian has maybe the most untapped potential in the wrestling business, which is scary when you think about saying 'untapped potential' and all the stuff he already does. It's the stuff he's currently not doing, that's the stuff that's gonna make Brian Cage the biggest star in wrestling at some point."
The Pursuit Channel deal:
"This week we announced our move from Pop TV which was a great partner for us. A lot of fans thought, 'Wow, you guys should be on a different network with a different demographic' so we announced this week we're moving to Pursuit which is an exciting thing for me. When you talk about how you deal with your content as a company because our parent company Anthem owns not only the Fight Network and Game TV, they also own a significant stake in Pursuit. It's a great strategic move for us, and I think people are going to love to see a sexier, edgier, maybe even a little more hardcore IMPACT Wrestling. I'm really, really pumped about that."

Hannibal Warning to Creators about FITE The Hannibal TV Lead reporter Devon Hannibal Nicholson issues a warning to fellow creators about FITE TV/The FITE app who have been very dishonest with our company in our personal dealings with them regarding advertising revenue from content provided. They entered into deals which they didn't uphold and we warn other creators that in our experience they did not pay us for the content we delivered and they earned ad revenue on. The 4 individuals from FITE we deal with were Michael Weber, Micheal Patellis, Tomas Yu and Louis Lewow. Second-generation wrestler Gino Hernandez was just what the fans of World Class Championship Wrestling needed—a good-looking, cocky heel to oppose the promotion’s beloved babyfaces, the Von Erich Brothers. Jazz Talks Wrestling At 45 Years Old, WWE's ECW Brand, Working With Paul Heyman, Penelope Ford

NWA Women's Champion Jazz spoke with Solowrestling.com about WWE's ECW brand, working with Paul Heyman, wrestling at 45 years old, Penelope Ford, and more. Here are some of the highlights:
Working with Paul Heyman:
"Paul Heyman is just a character. But you know, he is a genius. A lot of people have bad things to say about him, but when it comes to wrestling, he is a genius. He can turn anyone into a superstar and that's what I love about Paul. This is a dirty business, so everybody has a reputation of doing something wrong or something bad, especially if you ever had any type of power. Paul has a bad reputation of that, but he also has a great reputation of begin a phenomenal guy within the business itself because, like i said, he can turn a mop into a superstar."
WWE's ECW brand:
"Most definitely they watered ECW down. I don't even know why they called it ECW, because they had some of the ECW original talent? But as far as the way we had our shows and the way we performed. It was totally different than what we did in the original ECW. Yes, it was very watered down."
Being the NWA Women's champion and the new direction under Billy Corgan's leadership:
"More than 800 days of reign and continuing. Corgan has a vision of what he wants for NWA and I think he's going in the right direction and I'm part of his team, which I'm proud of and I'm happy to carry out what NWA is, the old school. It's what the fans miss, tell a story, work a part of the body. All those things, jumping from the
ropes, doing cartwheels ... my girls can do it in three weeks, but if you go out and work one leg during a 20-minute battle, that teaches me that you can wrestle."
Her title match against Penelope Ford at NWA 70th Anniversary:
"Penelope was a tough rival. I think it's the first time she gets into the ring with someone of my level, but she did it well. Although, I was very excited, 'the b---- is back' and that night was my time to show the world that I am, the NWA Women's Champion, and I deserve to continue being so. I'm showing the world why I am the one chosen to represent the NWA."
Difference between wrestling being 45 years old and 25 years old:
"It's different, my body has now received more bumps and scars, but I work smart, not hard. I'm a veteran, I know how to work. I do not have to go out and do 15 big moves to get a reaction."
Intergender matches:
"I love them if they are done in the right way. If psychology is good, you can have one of the best matches, especially with the talent there is. In fact, [my husband] Rodney Mack and I challenge anyone to a mixed tag match. We challenge the world."

R-Truth On Meeting Vince McMahon, Becoming The First African American To Win NWA World Title

R-Truth is now 10 years into his second stint in WWE and next year will mark the 20th anniversary from when he first joined the company as K-Kwik. Truth was just a couple of years into his pro wrestling career when he first was contacted by WWE and little did he know that meeting Vince McMahon would change his life forever.
Truth joined Lilian Garcia's Chasing Glory podcast where he talked about that initial meeting with McMahon and thinking that he was being set up during his first few months with WWE.
"It was a surreal moment because I was still very green as far as knowing the business, knowing about everything," Truth said about meeting McMahon. "And then meeting Vince McMahon where he's telling me that he saw my tape and asked whether I dance and I rap, in which I replied that I did, so he said that he wanted to offer me a contract. It still didn't dawn on me that I am going to get a real job. I have had one job in my life, my whole life and that was only because of work release to get out of jail so that I wouldn't see orange anymore. I have never had a job in my life. WWF is my second job in my whole life."
R-Truth spent 13 months in jail due to selling drugs in his early 20s. As he mentioned, his only previous job was part of a work-release program until he signed with WWE in 1999. He was assigned to one of their developmental territories at the time, but it didn't really hit him that he was a WWE Superstar until he started getting paid.
"At that time, it wasn't registering to me. It still wasn't registering to me until I saw those checks," said Truth. "Think about this, back then I was getting checks for probably about 3 to 4 months before they even sent me anywhere. I was at home getting checks and thinking that, okay, at any time they are going to call the cops on me and send me back to jail. I was thinking that it was all just a bit set up because they are sending me all of this money and I hadn't even done anything yet. I was scared.
"I remember calling Johnny Ace telling him that I wasn't sure if they knew that they were paying me because I was sitting at home, but he just laughed and said that you are fine, we are getting things squared away. I was like, 'you know that I am cashing these checks and you are sending me all of this money,' but he assured me that I was fine. But it was like, once I got into developmental it was such a different world. Going from being in the streets and doing everything that the typical thing that guys from the streets do that have no outlook, or have nothing to fall back on or no types of dreams or goals, it was a different life for me. I took a hold of it. I held on and I am still riding it."
Truth was released by WWE in 2002 and quickly landed with TNA when it was still associated with the NWA. He defeated Ken Shamrock for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship to become the first and only African American to hold that title.
Truth reflected back on that historic occasion and what it means to him.
"This guy that came from a dream, having an inspiration and a goal, Jack Crockett [of NWA] believed in me. Something had told him to give back to me and that I was good for it, where I was at the point in my life where I was ready to accept and make good of something," said Truth.
"The first time I was told I was going to get that title, I didn't realize how important and how special and how amazing it would be. When I got it, and hearing the feedback from it, it was another surreal moment because I didn't see it coming but I knew it was coming. To be the first African-American to hold that title it's like, I had felt like I had reached the pinnacle of my career and God keeps giving me more. So, it's like I'm just trying to be as positive and a positive inspiration to everybody where if you respect and appreciate where I came from and where I am now it's because I believed and somebody else believed and I chased it."

Bully Ray Talks Hypocrisy With Fans Getting Offended, Criticizing Flip Gordon's Military Service

Bully Ray and Flip Gordon engaged in something that is uncommon in this day and age of pro wrestling. The two had a long, drawn-out feud that lasted eight months and culminated in an "I Quit" match at Final Battle.
This was certainly not Ray's first "I Quit" match and he joined our WINCLY podcast where he told Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman if there were any differences between this match and the "I Quit" matches he had in other promotions.
"No, it would be the same thing," Ray said. "The only difference would have been in ECW I would not have had any handcuffs and I mean that figuratively, not literally."
Bully Ray then added that he would have had restrictions in WWE that he wouldn't have anywhere else.
"You can't have a good 'I Quit' match or Last Man Standing match with restrictions," Ray stated. "Obviously, in the WWE the guys that they put in those scenarios, their characters are so over that they can carry the match based on character. They don't necessarily have to do some of the things that you could do in ROH, ECW or TNA."
The feud between Bully Ray and Gordon turned personal at times, but Ray says he can look past their differences and see the talent in the man standing opposite him.
"Before I had gotten to ROH, I had no idea who he was," Ray said of Gordon. "I saw talent despite the fact that I may not like the way he came up in the wrestling business. That doesn't mean that I can't spot talent when I see it and I knew that he was the perfect guy for Bully Ray and Bully Ray was the perfect guy for him."
Bully Ray then went into further detail about why he and Gordon were a perfect fit for each other.
"White-meat babyface that everybody already liked," Ray said of Gordon contrasting with his character. "When Flip Gordon goes to the ring and he has those matches where he's flipping and diving and super-kicking, everybody loves all the moves that he does, right?
Ray then said that while people were cheering for Gordon's moves, they weren't necessarily cheering for Gordon until he entered the picture.
"Was anybody emotionally invested in Flip Gordon before I came along," asked Bully Ray. "You can take Flip out of the equation and put another guy with his talent in place and they're still going to respond to his moves. But after eight months of storytelling, people are now emotionally invested in Flip Gordon…
"People now love him for putting his body on the line. People love that he got caned and came back from it. People love that he got kicked in the balls and came back from it. Now we're emotionally invested in our good guy. Flip can now go out and stand in the middle of the ring and not do anything and people will react to him."
During the build-up to their Final Battle match, Bully Ray touched on a taboo subject by criticizing Gordon's military service. That was certainly by design on Ray's part and he explained why.
"I told him that he was in the Army because he wasn't tough enough to be a Marine," stated Ray. "Are you offended by that, Nick? If you're offended by it, then did you want to see Flip kick my ass?... Job well done."
Before the "I Quit" match between Ray and Gordon got started, Ray kicked things off by attacking Christopher Daniels who had just finished his farewell match for ROH. Ray explained what he was trying to accomplish by doing that.
"Let's just say that going into the match, there was even one person in the arena who wanted to see me win," said Ray. "After I came out and nut-shotted Daniels, do you think anybody in that arena wanted to see me win?
"When Flip came out on that balcony, was that entire arena chanting for Flip and behind him? From the moment our match starts to the moment it ends, the emotion that runs through that entire match is designed to steal the show and be unfollowable."
Throughout the match, Ray and Gordon teased using a flaming table multiple times. However, there was no payoff as it was never used. But Ray says that was all part of the match's psychology and he explained why the flaming table was not used.
"That's because people are afraid," revealed Ray. "People are afraid to go down that route and not pay it off. We did pay it off, just not in the way you thought we would pay it off."
Bully Ray then says if your going to go through the effort of bringing out the table and lighting it on fire but not using it, then you better come up with something better that makes people forget about the flaming table.
"The table didn't get lit on fire, why? Because The Sandman came out," said Ray. "Once you saw The Sandman, did anybody care about the flaming table? I dare anybody in wrestling to attempt that kind of psychology in 2018."
With the help of a kendo stick from The Sandman, Gordon laid waste to Bully Ray and won the match. However, even though Ray gave up, he never said the words "I Quit" which has many thinking there is more to this feud.
"I guess you gotta keep watching," Ray coyly responded when asked if the feud with Gordon is over.
Gordon lashing Bully Ray with the kendo stick was very similar to when Ray did the same to Gordon on ROH TV. That seemingly justified Ray's kendo stick attack on Gordon as many felt that it was too excessive and violent.
"The story came full circle," Ray said of Gordon getting revenge at Final Battle. "The punishment that I inflicted on Flip, he got me back ten-fold and also won the match."
Some are drawing parallels between this feud and the one that went on in WWE between Charlotte and Ronda Rousey. Charlotte landed multiple kendo stick shots on Rousey, however, Ray says that there is a double standard between their feud and his with Gordon.
"I'm just curious," Ray said to Nick Hausman. "Did you call Charlotte and tell her she was too violent with the kendo stick a couple of weeks ago with Ronda? Were you offended?"
"Was I offended? No, I was on the hook," responded Nick.
"Oh, so you were on the hook with that but you weren't on the hook when I caned Flip in the ECW Arena," asked Bully Ray. "You can't be offended by one but not be offended by the other. You can't say one was gross physicality. It's a kendo stick. It's a legitimate weapon. She was bruised, black and blued and blood came to the surface of her skin. It's the same thing whether she had three welts and Flip had nine – it's the same thing. We can't pick and choose what we're offended by."

Pursuit HD has yet to publicly acknowledge Impact Wrestling is moving to their network.

As of this afternoon, Pursuit HD has yet to publicly acknowledge Impact Wrestling is moving to their network.  Seriously?  You'd think SOMEONE at that station would be hyping it up ON THEIR STATION. (rolls eyes) Yeah they're sure on the ball over there, aren't they.

No matter how positive anyone wants to claim this move is, it's obvious this was a stop-gap move made out of desperate necessity.

Another Partial "Hidden Gem" that's, Yep You Guessed it, 'not so hidden', LOL!

The daily dose of making PWInsider and WWE look dumb as hell continues today with this...

Here's PWInsiderr Paul Jordan AGAIN, giving me the inspiration to make the site he writersd for look like morons, with his post today about another WWE 'hidden gem' that isn't so hidden. One look on YouTube shows that every day Jordan does this, every day he looks like a fucking moron. Apparently Dave Scherer and Mike Johnson who run PWInsider don't seem to care that their staff writer looks like an idiot every single day (what does that say, about THEM? HHHMMM).

And now look, Midnight Express vs Midnight Rockers? Damn here's the match right here on YouTube. One has been there for over a year and the other, three months.. But WWE is going to add this tomorrow as part of a 'hidden germ', LMAO! Dumb fucks.

The main match on this is the one that isn't the “Hidden Gem” WWE wants people to think it is, plus the complete card for this show isn't as impressive as it could've been.

Bottom line though, if WWE claims a 'hidden gem' is going to be added, and if idiots like Paul Jordan report it as it's such a “HUGE THING”, then guys like me will just have to continue showing, why he and WWE are acouple of the biggest morons going today. So again, you can thank me now for this because no other wrestling news site has the balls to do what I do when it comes to this. :)

Dave Scherer At PWInsider Makes Threats, Gets Called On It, THEN Bitches Up, ROFLMAO!

Evidently Dave Scherer has continued to show how much of a fucking moron he is. As if this story from yesterday wasn't bad enough where he and Mike Johnson (also of PWinsider) Got put in check by a reader of this blog ( https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2018/12/mike-johnson-pwinsider-responds-to.html ) Which casme as a result of Johnson being checked on this story here ( https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2018/12/mike-johnson-pwinsider-gets-checked.html To which Mike Johnson STILL, hasn't gone ahead and admitted he was corrected by yours truly even though the obvious is there) Dave Scherer still is living under the elusion that he was talking to me thru emails... (HHHMMMM, my name is Bill, the guy he's responding to is named Neal... Maybe you can get a connection on how we're one and the same because, nobody but Scherer seems to see that), even though in one of the stories from yesterday I posted my email addy and told Scherer to email me directly (which he has yet to do). I'm on Twitter, so is he, he can message me direct there, BUT.. of course, he hasn't. he's preferring to respond in emails to a reader of this blog over talking to me directly.

Only a dumb fuck does that and well.. It's been assessed in many ways recently that Dave Scherer is indeed, a dumb fuck.

SO.. Here is the latest exchange between the reader of this blog and Scherer.. Neal sent this to me directly as you'll see and.. You'll see Dave Scherer threaten to post some link allegedly about me, get that bluff called by Neal and then Scherer quickly (and apparently) bitching up when called out to do it.

Here's where Neal emailed me with the message.

Now here's where Dave makes the threat, gets his bluff called and then punks out. (To make a note, Dave hasn't done shit to carry out his threats either, so this exchange rings on what a bitch ass Scherer seems to be.

Dave Scherer has said time and again in his Q&A's on his site that he "doesn't care' what people say about him, but yet look at from yesterday and tight here.. He sure is doing ALOT of bluffing and puffing for a guy who 'doesn't care', LMAO! Maybe some day Scherer will actually get a clue, but from the looks of things, even if he did get a clue, he wouldn't know what to do with it.

So this is what the main guys at PWInsider do when they get checked. This is how they react, you can thank me for showing you this and all credit goes to Neal Bane for giving me all this to show you people. Scherer got punked, plain and simple.
