Damien Wayne defends the AIWF World Heavyweight Title against Benny Conley at ICS 20!
MEMPHIS WRESTLING PERSONALITY & PROMOTER BERT PRENTICE PASSES AWAY
USA Championship Wrestling has reported the passing of longtime Memphis wrestling personality and independent promoter Bert Prentice following a battle with cancer. Prentice is believed to have been 59 at the time of his passing.
Prentice initially debuted in the USWA in 1991 as Christopher Love, managing The Dragon Master and the PYTs as heel foil to all the top babyfaces of the territory, including Jerry Lawler, Jeff Jarrett and even Randy Hales. Eventually, Prentice would drop the Love moniker and in 1993, would be the manager for all the WWF talents who would come in to feud with babyface Jerry Lawler, including Giant Gonzales and Bret and Owen Hart. Lawler at the time was a heel for the WWF, but was still a babyface in Memphis so when WWF talents would come in, they would switch roles and play heels to the "The King."
Prentice feuded with WWE Hall of Famer Jacqueline Moore during her time in the promotion as Miss Texas, claiming that she was really a man named Bubba Johnson. This led to a series of different stipulation matches, including a boxing match and a street fight, with Miss Texas soundly beating Prentice every time. Prentice was one of the first hosts (alongside Jeremy Borash) in the early days of NWA: TNA's Xplosion series.
Prentice also promoted a number of independent promotions, including Music Wrestling Wrestling, Ozark Mountain Wrestling, Ozark's successor North American All Star Wrestling and more, all of which had a Southern 'wrassling flair. In recent years, Prentice had been running USA Wrestling in the Memphis area, regularly using Jerry Lawler as a top babyface and bringing in Memphis legends for signings and undercard attractions. Yesterday, Prentice announced that his sister Marilyn would take over the day to day operations of the promotion so he could concentrate on his health. The promotion has dates for August and September scheduled.
Prentice wrote, "As I continue to manage my cancer treatments and rehabilitation. I so appreciate all USA staff and talent, fans, and thousands of friends who have reached out to me with care and love."
He was also a manager of Tully Blanchard for a time as well.

NWA 73 PPV SELLS OUT IN ST. LOUIS

Nice to see another company besides AEW and WWE announce a sell out.
MEXICO'S THE CRASH CO-PROMOTING EVENT WITH MLWS'S AZTECA UNDERGROUND
The Crash Lucha Libre will hold its first show since the start of the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic on September 11 in the 4,500-seat Auditorio de Tijuana, co-promoted with Major League Wrestling’s Azteca Underground brand.
The show will take place on the same day as MLW’s Fusion taping in Dallas, Texas, so it remains to be seen how MLW’s roster will be split between the two events.
MLW World Heavyweight Championship holder Jacob Fatu, MLW National Openweight Championship holder Alexander Hammerstone, MLW World Middleweight Championship holder Myron Reed, “Filthy” Tom Lawlor, Calvin Tankman, Marshall Von Erich and Ross Von Erich are among the names confirmed for MLW’s show in Dallas (seen here).
Conversely, El Hijo del L.A. Park, L.A. Park, L.A. Park Jr. and King Muertes are the four luchadores listed on Azteca Underground’s website (seen here).
The Crash has teased Andrade will appear at its first show with live fans back in attendance, though one has to imagine Andrade’s contractual status with All Elite Wrestling would prevent him from appearing on MLW’s Azteca Underground show (if or when the show comes to fruition).
The Crash’s last show was on February 22 last year, marking a 567-day gap between live events.
The Crash was set to hold a show on March 28 last year, but was forced to cancel the show due to the pandemic. Ring of Honor stars Adam Brooks, Bandido, Dragon Lee and PCO were all confirmed to compete, as well as Chris Dickinson (who has since joined ROH). MLW has held co-promoted television tapings in Mexico before, collaborating with Lucha Libre AAA World Wide to hold a taping last March also in Auditorio de Tijuana.
Chris Jericho Gets "Checked", Twice
Chris Jericho really makes this too easy to do, and since no other wrestling writers will ever have the balls to call this first part out (Meltzer won't, Scherer is too chickenshit, Mike Johnson? NNAA, WrestlingInc? You'll hear the sounds of a chicken coming from that camp), it'll have to be up to me to do what the others won't have the balls to do.
In an Interview With Inside The Ropes Jericho said the following.

PWInsider Wants People To "Pay" So You Can Hear A Media Call You Can Hear For Free Somewhere Else (Are People really THIS DUMB?)
Yes, some people are indeed, that fucking stupid.
Why would anyone, ANYONE be dumb enough to 'pay' (PWInsider's VIP Service) to hear something you can freely hear somewhere else?
Only a fucking moron, would do that. And only idiots like Mike Johnson at PWInsider think that's a "Brilliant' idea. The sad but unfortunate things is, some people ARE stupid enough to indeed, do just that.
I've busted and called them out on this little scam before. Like this story here. https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2019/10/content-available-exclusively-to.html as well as this example here. https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2019/11/content-only-available-exclusively-to.html
So it shouldn't come as much surprise when, I get to do it again. Someday the clowns at PWInsider will smarten up, until then? i get to make it obvious what ass clowns they are.
Unfortunately, they make it so easy, and obvious to do.
So if you want to be one of the smart ones and not one of the suckers who get suckered into their "VIP membership scam" and want to hear something they're making their "VIP Members" pay to listen to. Just go to this link right here on YouTube, and enjoy it for free like many others are doing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vp9F_LRc7Xk
You can go ahead and thank me for pointing out what's pretty obvious, even if Mike Johnson is too dumb to notice the obvious himself.
You're welcome. :)
The Assassin Jody Hamilton Entered Hospice Care, Then Passed Away.
The Assassin/Assassin #1, Jody Hamilton, was in hospice care. He is 82.
The famous heel tag team The Assassins started in the early 1960s with Tom Renesro as Assassins #2. When Renesto retired as a full time wrestler in the mid-1970s, Hamilton continued the masked tag team with various other people under the mask in the role of Assassin #2. Some of the famous names in the gimmick were Randy Colley, Hercules Hernandez and Nick Patrick (Hamilton’s son). The Assassins were regulars in Georgia Championship Wrestling and other southeast and southern territories. Paul Jones was their manager at times. The masks would come into play as weapons during matches. The Assassins would insert foreign objects in them so they could deliver “knockout headbutts” to their baby face opponents when the referee wasn’t looking.
Hamilton was forced to retire after suffering a broken back during a match in the late 1980s. He joined WCW in the start of Ted Turner’s ownership of the company. He did everything in WCW from booking, being a heel manager on TV (as The Assassin), and training wrestlers. Up until the later years of the Monday Night Wars, WCW pay-per-views would run credits at the end of broadcasts which showed the names of everyone who booked and produced the events under their real names. Hamilton’s name was regularly on display.
UPDATE 4;00 PM
Jody Hamilton Jr. aka Nick Patrick announced the passing of his father, the legendary Assassin, Jody Hamilton this afternoon via social medial, writing:
"It is with heavy heart that I make this post. At 2:16 today my father took his last breath on this earth. He passed comfortably, surrounded by the people that love him. Now our attention has to shift over to taking care of my mom. I want to thank everyone that sent out prayers and support for my family. I will put more information about pop out, but right now I'm kinda numb."
Hamilton was 82 at the time of his passing. It was revealed overnight that he had entered hospice care.
He was the head trainer at the WCW Power Plant. A few years after WCW folded he restarted his Deep South Wrestling promotion that became a developmental territory for WWE until 2007.

BRAY WYATT RELEASED (Updated 7-31-21 4:00 PM)
WWE just announced that they have come to terms on the release of former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt, 34.
The official statement:
WWE has come to terms on the release of Bray Wyatt. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors.
Wyatt has not appeared for the company since Wrestlemania 37 and the word internally had been that there was a "specific reason" he had not returned and that it was not a creative situation, implying perhaps that Wyatt had not been cleared to perform. Prior to Wrestlemania, Wyatt last performed in January 2021 in a pre-taped bout against Randy Orton. He was slated to defeat Orton at Wrestlemania but that finish was changed over the course of Mania weekend.
Wyatt had disappeared from the company's internal roster weeks ago but there had been no official stance on his status with the company.
Wyatt has not commented much on social media in recent months beyond telling the audience he missed them.
The grandson of WWE Hall of Famer Blackjack Mulligan and the son of all time great Mike Rotunda, Wyatt, real name Windham Rotunda, had been with WWE since 2009 when he and his brother, who performed as Bo Dallas, signed WWE developmental deals and debuted for FCW, the WWE developmental territory at the time.
The Wyatt and Fiend characters would remain under WWE's ownership. During his time as The Fiend version of the Wyatt character, Bray Wyatt was among the top merchandise movers for the company, specifically in the action figure realm.
WWE chose to release Bray Wyatt and that the word going around was that it was a budget-related reason( yeah, sssuurreee it was, sure it was), similar to other big cuts, such as Braun Strowman. It was not a case of Wyatt asking to be released.
We are told that Wyatt was called by John Lauirinaitis (who wasn't even at TV this week as he's in the middle of moving back to Connecticut) and informed it was simply a budgetary decision and not something Wyatt had done.
To say that the reaction within the company was stunned would be a massive understatement given how plugged into licensing the Wyatt character has been in recent years. The Fiend had been a massive hit for t-shirts and action figures. eBay will probably be selling these like hot cakes now.
One source pointed the finger squarely at WWE President Nick Khan and CFO Kristina Salen, stating that they are so "obsessed" with the company not being even one iota in the red on the financial ledgers that even after the most recent financial quarter, there had to have been a push to cut costs where with previous regimes, there would have been more leniency.
Others noted that Wyatt and Vince McMahon's relationship behind the scenes ran very hot and cold at times and that McMahon has given Khan the ability to run things far more than anyone else has historically been able to accomplish, so there was likely less of a push-back over the idea of cutting a big money contract from the ledger.
Another source pointed that Wyatt's 90 days would run out the week before AEW's Full Gear and how Vince McMahon may have been very prophetic about handing AEW other assets during yesterday's media call.
For those who have asked if there are other releases coming today, we have heard nothing that leads me to believe that is the case. We'll see now, won't we.

Tazmaniac (Taz) vs. Gypsy Joe - Japan 1993
The legend is that this was Taz' first Japanese tour, and this was his first match on that tour. He was told by others in the locker room to "work soft" with Gypsy Joe, since he was a "frail old man". Taz then is stunned when the match starts and Joe starts working stiff with him and brawls all over the arena with him. The whole "he's a frail old man" deal was a giant rib on him by the other members of the locker room.

Nothing Like BLATANTLY Using False Advertising On Something That Can Be Easily Proven To Be False
Pretty funny that whoever the moron is that uploads these clips for Conrad, actually "Thought", that the falsely advertised title wasn't gonna get proven wrong.
That's what you get for "thinking". Once again thinking and that person doesn't go hand in hand very well.
Now HAD it been titled as "First NATIONAL TV match" that probably would've been more believable. But they didn't even consider that apparently. So in the end whoever u[loads these again looks like a complete fucking idiot.
I bet Conrad must be proud right about now, LOL.
As you see in the reply that I replied to, THIS is probably closer to Arn's first televised match. Unless someone has one from Pensacola where he first started out.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCn8dpj7ZcY
Nice try though. Better luck next time. Next time try advertising something more factual, hell of a concept, eh?

Dirt Sheet Contributor Was Removed From NXT TV Taping By Security (Talk About a B*tch Move)
WWE pulls a Bitch move. Nothing more, nothing less, it was indeed a bitch move.
A longtime WWE NXT fan and online contributor JJ Williams says he was escorted out of last week’s NXT TV tapings from the Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
Williams, an official correspondent for the Wrestling Observer/F4Wonline.com website who often tweets notes and photos from NXT events, took to Twitter and said he was removed from the NXT taping due to his affiliation with the WONF4W website. Williams noted that security took a copy of his ID, had him delete the photos on his phone from the taping, and then escorted him off the property. Williams added that his time and devotion will no longer be given to WWE moving forward.
Williams, has a reputation of being a pleasure to deal with, has formed relationships with several talent over the years due to his online contributions, and he has developed a following of fans on social media.
Williams also attends AEW events when able to. AEW President & CEO Tony Khan responded to his tweets on the NXT incident, and said he looks forward to having Williams at next Wednesday’s Homecoming edition of AEW Dynamite at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville.
“See you at #AEWDynamite Homecoming, JJ! We’re looking forward to your visit,” Khan wrote in response to the tweets.
WWE was asked to comment by several to comment on the Williams incident, and as usual they're staying silent about it.
Imagine that.
Vince McMahon: "AEW Is Not Same Level Of Competition As WCW" ("OOOOOO", Zing, Slam)
Bet the AEW roster and its "Marks" aren't happy about that insult, LMAO!
For all that the "Marks" Jericho, Cody, "Money Mark" Tony Khan, etc love to say, think and assume they're on the same level as WWE. it looks like McMahon has put AEW in their place.
In short, AEW got "checked".
Vince was asked about AEW during today’s WWE Q2 2021 earnings call with investors. The caller noted that AEW seems to be making significant investments with their roster, and they are gaining in viewership, especially in the 18-49 key demographic. He asked Vince how WWE currently views AEW as competition, and if he feels WWE needs to counter AEW’s investments with their own additional roster investments, seeing as how WWE and AEW could be competing for media rights in the future, or if this is a “rising tides lift all boats” type of situation like there was back in the day with WCW.
“Well, it certainly is not a situation where ‘rising tides’ because that was when Ted Turner was coming after us with all of Time Warner’s assets as well,” Vince responded. “That was a different situation. AEW is where they are. I don’t really know what their plans are, all I know is what our plans are.
“I don’t consider them competition in the way that I would consider WCW back in the day, not anywhere near close to that. And I’m not so sure what their investments are as far as their talent is concerned, but perhaps we can give them some more.”
WWE President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan added this on how WWE sees everything as competition, including sleep.
“I think the way we always look at these situations, you know, it’s sort of like a horse race where the horse has blinders on,” Khan added. “We’re looking straight ahead at our lane and making sure that we stay in the front of the pack. At the same time, everything is our competition. Someone had a line a couple of weeks ago, that we all chuckled at and agreed with – sleep is our competition. Right?
“If it was up to us, people could be up 24 hours a day, watching content from different content providers, hopefully including ours. So, we don’t look at any organization particularly as competition, yet we see everything as competitive with what we’re trying to do, in terms of eyeballs.”
Wonder how the owners and bookers of AEW will respond to that? Time will tell if they even can.
AEW’s Updated Code Of Conduct For Fans (LMAO Good Luck With That)
Trying to micromanage every little thing? GEE, How "WWE" is that? hahahahahahahaha.
Good luck trying to make fans not be unruly. GGGOOODDD luck with that one, dipshits.
SSOO, get a load of this shit, this is so fucking laughable. Probably the funniest thing I've read all day. Tony Khan claimed AEW would be the alternative to WWE but here he is, trying to micromanage and control the fans like McMahon has tried to do (and failed I might add).
AEW has updated their Code of Conduct for fans attending their shows. The promotion unveiled their new code prior to last night’s tapings of Dark: Elevation, Dark and Dynamite. Fans will be found unbecoming of the code with the following;
– Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, threatening or illegal in nature, including fighting and physical harassment
– Foul, harassing or abusive language towards other fans or staff
– Unreasonably obstructing the view of other patrons and standing in aisles
– Smoking (including e-cigarettes)
– Abuse of drugs or alcohol
This isn’t the first time AEW has unveiled a Code of Conduct for fans, having done so back in March of 2020 for a Dynamite taping in Broomfield, Colorado. Soon after AEW was forced off the road due to the COVID-19 pandemic, taping in Daily’s Place at Jacksonville, Florida until June of this year.
The updated code comes three weeks after an incident at AEW’s Dynamite tapings in Miami in early July, where a fan attempted to reach the ring to attack MJF. The fan claimed his actions were done in honor of Jim Cornette, a vocal critic of AEW. Cornette would later distance himself from the fan. The code may have also been influenced by the conclusion of GCW Homecoming this past weekend, where Matt Cardona was pelted with garbage after defeating Nick Gage to win the GCW World Championship. Gage competed on AEW Dynamite last night, losing to Chris Jericho in a No Rules Match in Dynamite’s main event.
You can see a video of this updated "Code Of Conduct, right here. https://twitter.com/i/status/1420568735287582722
ALBERTO DEL RIO TRIAL SET FOR THIS MONDAY IN SAN ANTONIO ( COULD HIS DAYS BE NUMBERED? )
Former WWE and Impact Wrestling Champion Jose Alberto Rodriguez Chucuan aka Alberto Del Rio and Alberto el Patron is slated to stand trial this Monday 8/2 in San Antonio, Texas, facing one count of aggravated kidnapping and four counts of sexual assault after being indicted back in October 2020. If the charges stand and Chucuan is found guilty, he could be facing as much as life in prison.
The trial was originally slated to take place in January, but was postponed several times. It should be noted that several months ago, a woman (we are protecting her identity for obvious reason) issued an apology via social media for what Chucuan's family has been going through since the arrest. Chucuan's brother responded, claiming on his own social media that it was an admission that the charges were false. Since that social media comment, nothing has changed in regard to the trial date, but if the woman was indeed rescinding her claims, one would think that would quickly be brought up in court as the trial commences this Monday. Chucuan has stated publicly that the woman who made the allegations against him has dropped her claims and that he expects the situation to be wrapped up as soon as possible. As of this writing, however, charges have not been dropped by prosecutors.
Chucuan, 44, was arrested on 5/9/20 after a victim went to San Antonio, Texas authorities, stating that on Sunday 5/3/20 at 10 PM, Chucuan allegedly became angry with her and physically assaulted her after accusing her of infidelity. When the victim would not admit to the infidelity, Chucuan allegedly slapped her "across the head" several times. The victim also alleged that Chucuan "forced her to wear a dress and dance for him" and that when she refused and he told her not to start crying because if she did, "he would take her son and drop him in the middle of the road somewhere."
The arrest affidavit stated that the woman alleged Chucuan had sexually assaulted her and that she had her injuries documented via photographs.
At the time, The FOX affiliate in San Antonio reported, "Police said Rodriguez Chucuan then tied the woman's hands with boxing straps, put a sock in her mouth and sexually assaulted her for several hours, using various objects. According to investigators, he also punched her in the back during the assault, causing visible injuries. The victim told detectives she does not remember much after he placed his hand around her throat."
TMZ later reported additional details that brought the accusations into a much more disturbing light, stating that the victim reported the attack started at around 10 PM on 5/3/20 and that it lasted over 16 hours, ending on 5/4/20 on 2:30 PM. The victim went to the police the same day with TMZ's report noting that the responding officer saw bruises on her face, arms, legs and neck. The victim alleged that Chucuan attempted to burn her passport and smashed her laptop computer and cell phone. TMZ reported that the victim, "..also claims Del Rio attacked her, causing multiple injuries and left her, 'feeling woozy and dizzy from the hits to her head.' " The victim told police she was afraid and intended to leave San Antonio as soon as possible.
In Texas, a conviction for aggravated kidnapping, if punishable in the first degree could result in a a prison sentence ranging from 5 to 99 years or life imprisonment and/or a fine up to $10,000. However, if the accused can prove they released the alleged victim voluntarily, they could only be convicted of aggravated kidnapping in the second degree, which could result in a prison sentence ranging from two to 20 years and/or a fine up to $10,000. If Del Rio was indeed indicted, the minimum prison sentence for sexual assault (per count) under Texas law would be 2 years with a maximum of up to 20 years. As a second degree felony under Texas law, sexual assault can also lead to a fine of up to $10,000, in addition to incarceration.
Since departing WWE, Chucuan has wrestled as Alberto el Patron in Impact Wrestling, last wrestling in February 2020 for Qatar Pro Wrestling. He is currently being advertised for a 7/31 match against former WWE star Andrade in McAllen, Texas for the Nacion Lucha Libre promotion.
Chucuan fought in 2019 for MMA promotion Combate Global (at the time known as Combate Americas), where he also held a figurehead executive position. A representative for MMA promotion Combate Americas declined to give a statement to PWInsider.com at the time of Chucuan's arrest. Chucuan has not appeared in any capacity for the promotion since his indictment.
Patron returned to performing as a professional wrestler earlier this year and is booked for a lucha event Summerslam weekend in Las Vegas.
TAMPA POLICE STILL SEEKING WWE THUNDERDOME THIEF
The University of South Florida Police Department in Tampa, Florida are still seeking help in identifying and apprehending the suspect who stole several times from the WWE Thunderdome on 5/22, hours after a Smackdown taping at the USF Yuengling Center, according to FOX 13.
Among the items stolen were a WWE Turnbuckle pad, a prop cross Sheamus wears to the ring and several autographed WWE replica championship belts.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 25-30 years old, with brown hair, a mustache, and a light goatee. He was wearing a red shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.

Wale Asks Wrestling Fans Why They Can’t Enjoy Both WWE And AEW (And I Have An Answer)
Rapper Wale was actively tweeting during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen. Prior to the show, Wale asked fans to guess Tony Khan’s advertised announcement, which turned out to be AEW heading to the United Center in Chicago on August 20 for AEW Rampage: First Dance.
After getting into a back-and-forth with a few fans, Wale wondered why fans of WWE and AEW were constantly at odds. Wale also pointed to how talents from AEW and WWE happen to be friends.
It’s no secret that Wale is a big fan of pro wrestling. Earlier this year, he performed Big E’s “Feel The Power” theme song at WrestleMania 37. Wale also appeared during an episode of WWE NXT in Oct. 2019.
He wants an answer? I'm going to give him an answer. And as usual it won't be a very popular answer. Because when someone like me speaks the truth, the "Marks" always get in an uproar.
Truth hurts, too bad, deal with it. Here's some more of that truth right now.
Why can't some people watch two different brands? In my case the answer is very simple.
The product that both companies put out? sucks.
While that's usually a simple yet, easy answer, "Marks" always want detailed reasons why I feel that way. So I again will show why and then watch as the "Marks" deflect and ignore facts and truth like they usually do.
I haven't been a fan of the "WWE Way" they present wrestling for almost ten years now. And every time I've tried to watch it, no matter if it's RAW or Smackdown or even NXT.. The "WWE Way" rubs me the wrong way every time and I get reminded every time why I don't watch it.
From the scripted promos that are written for the roster by writers who really don't know much about wrestling, to the actual characters they churn out cookie cutter, willy nilly are among the top reasons right there. "Sports Entertainment" doesn't jive very well with me and it never will, not to mention the high level of "No Selling" in matches that WWE, AEW, as well as Impact and Ring Of Honor have is another insult to a guy like me who has watched wrestling since the 70's. Guys literally "walking into " a sidewalk slam or other move is so obcvious it's really fucking pathetic to see. Along with "Let's punch each other in the face two dozen times and nobody staggers or falls to the mat. In a real fight if I punched you in the face? You'd have a black eye and you WILL stagger. That's just a true fact of life.
Add to it the fact they don't really present their characters in a way that really want you to care about them, or invest much time in them. Nobody really stands out anymore as they're all presented the same "WWE Way".
Who really, truly stands out? Not very many that's for sure.
Bruiser Brody? he stood out. Nick Bockwinkel? he stood out. Harley Race, King Kong Bundy, Roddy Piper, I can go on and on and compared to the "wrestlers" you have now? NOINE of them stands out like the ones I listed have and always will.
You think you could've handed a guy like Harley Race or Bruiser Brody a "script" and think they're gonna memorize the shit that's 'written' for them to say? Yeah good luck with that. Most promos come off better if you just give the 'bullet points', here's your opponent, this is the match, GO. And guys like that can do a promo that knocks it out of the ballpark every time. Try giving the late Bobby Heenan a script and see what that get you (plenty of laughter most likely).
Throw in the illogical booking and illogical storytelling and that just adds to the reasons why it sucks. Going from point A to point B to point C doesn't seem to be a concept that WWE remembers anymore. in the WWE Universe logic doesn't seem to exist and in AEW their logic is blatantly ass backwards, and they seem to enjoy the fact they're ass backwards.
AEW claimed they were going to be the 'alternative' to WWE but guess what "Marks", they're not. They do alot of the very same things WWE does but for some reason you want to ignore it. What amuses me alot about "AEW Marks" is they claim to hate WWE but when AEW hires a WWE cast off, they cheer like mad about it. Alot of AEW's roster is, what? OOHH guys that used to work for the WWE, but they want to be known as the 'alternative' to the WWE. Makes you go, HHHMMMMM.
Every match in AEW HAS to go out of the ring, many matches just HAVE to have a guy diving on four guys just standing there 'waiting' to have someone land on them. If that was done in the first match, what's so impressive about seeing it in the third match?
I'll give you a hint, nothing.
Everybody's doing the same moves in every match so no move really stands out in match three than it did in match one. Everyone "has to get their spots in" in every match which doesn't help with telling a story within the match. Or the best one which is all the flip flop, gymnastic routines where they have to do a dozen spots in a minute that have no meaning whatsoever.
It's pretty obvious many of this era's wrestlers either weren't trained properly in ring psychology, have no clue what that is or simply don't want to use it. You tell me which one of the three it is.
Not to mention that the very people booking and writing AEW have no experience doing that and shouldn't be booking a fucking thing to begin with. That's facts and the truth and while AEW has guys who know what ring psychology is and have booking experience. They don't seem to have the balls to tell the AEW roster the truth. OR they're just there to milk the "money mark" Tony Khan out of a paycheck every week.
"As long as the checks keep clearing, who gives a fuck if the product is the shits", eh? That the mentality?
Thankfully I don't have to 'depend' on the major wrestling companies for my fix for wrestling. There's plenty of Indy groups out there that give me what I'm looking for. MLW, OVW, Reality Of Wrestling, Billy Corgan's NWA, among others I watch every week. Guys like Darius Carter from Warriors of Wrestling, Gino Medina, Nick Aldis all give me what I look for.
So there's your answer Wale.. Why can't one watch both brands? because both brands suck. They don't cater to a fan like me and it's obvious they don't want to. Brining John Cena in for a 'summer of no selling' isn't catering to a fan like me. And what it would take for those companies, as well as Impact to cater to a fan like me is obviously too much work for them, so they don't bother and would rather take the lazy ways out.
They prove that fact every week. And they're obviously going, to continue to do that every week.

Jim Cornette on Jim Ross Comparing Jon Moxley To Steve Austin
I covered this when it first came out with this story here, https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2021/07/jim-ross-on-which-aew-star-is-closest.html where I once again had to "check" the 'marks' and put them in their place.
Funny how none of them 'marks' dared to brace me and try to argue it after I put thew facts out.
That might've been one the smartest things they could've ever done, but then again the absolute facts they couldn't deflect from had them have no choice but to stay silent. They no longer had any arguing power thanks to me (smiles).
Here's Cornette's review. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ud9AnI7PixE
