Like Anyone Really Cares About This Show But.. 205 LIVE MOVING TO WEDNESDAY NIGHTS ON WWE NETWORK

With Mixed Match Challenge season two premiering on Tuesday, WWE's programming schedule will be undergoing a bit of a shift.
WWE announced today that 205 Live will be airing at 7 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesdays starting with this coming week's television: "Starting next week, @WWE205Live heads to Wednesday nights at 7pm ET on the award-winning @WWENetwork! #205Live." The move was indicated on the WWE Network schedule before being officially confirmed by the company.
205 Live will be part of a block on Wednesdays with NXT and the Mae Young Classic.
WWE hasn't announced if there will be any changes to 205 Live being taped after SmackDown or if the show will be moving back to its live format on Tuesdays when Mixed Match Challenge is over.
205 Live aired live after Mixed Match Challenge during season one, but season two's episodes will be 30 minutes long instead of the previous 20 minutes. Mixed Match Challenge season two will debut on Facebook Watch after SmackDown on Tuesday. There will be 14 episodes, with the tournament culminating at TLC on December 16.
Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander defending his title against Drew Gulak is set for Wednesday's 205 Live. Lio Rush will also face Noam Dar on the show.

James Storm Debuts, Then Leaves MLW, And Other MLW News

Former TNA Champion James Storm, who debuted at last week's MLW taping in an angle designed to kick off a feud with Tom Lawlor is already done here.  easy come, easy go, lol. .  A source with the promotion said the two sides decided to "part ways."   Storm attacked Lawlor during a bout with Joey Janela and later won a quick squash.  It probably wouldn't be worth it to air what he did since he's gone as fast as he came in there.

There was an attempt made to book the former home of WCW in Atlanta, the Center Stage Theater, but we are told that the attempt was dropped at the request of another promotion using the venue.   The company is looking at other potential venues in that market.

Konnan is the senior agent backstage and is going to be given expanded backstage responsibilities.

Tommy Dreamer, who made his debut at Wargames, got over huge with the locker room and with the backstage staffers and was considered a big boost to the overall morale of the backstage scene.

Bruce Prichard ran the gorilla position backstage at their Wargames show.

Beyond the January return to Ft. Lauderdale, the promotion is also looking at a Spring date at the War Memorial Auditorium.

Wrestlinginc posts THIS Story, but when it comes to my story? Wrestlinginc? Bitches up.

As you see Wrestlinginc was real quick to post a story about BG James responding to fan complaints, BBUUTT, when it came to Cody Rhodes responding on Twitter to someone who posted a plug on my story about Cody? (proof right here, https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2018/09/i-told-people-my-cody-rhodes-story-got.html ) Wrestlinginc quickly bitches up on that. Why are they so scared to talk about this story? maybe someone should ask the people at Wrestlinginc that and see if they have the balls to even, give you an answer. Betcha they won't, bitches.

"Road Dogg" BG James Responds To Fan Complaints, and right here, I'll put his ass in check.

WWE SmackDown producer "Road Dogg" Brian James took to Twitter today and had a back & forth with fans over how Becky Lynch is booked on the blue brand.
One fan wrote, "I think the fans have spoken in favor of Becky. Time for you all to listen."
James responded and pointed to how Lynch is currently featured in the top women's storyline on SmackDown. He wrote, "We're listening, what would you have us do? She's in the best women's story, arguably the best story going today? What else can we do?"
Another fan chimed in and said Becky will receive a huge pop if they put the SmackDown Women's Title on her. James responded, "Also, "pops" aren't what I'm shooting for mate but I get what you're saying."
The same fan wrote back and asked, "Isn't the whole point of wrestling to get a reaction from the audience?" James responded, "Well, it's nice to get "a pop" but pops don't pay the bills".
Well Mr. James this is where you're kind of wrong. because it's fans who buy those tickets who are GIVING YOU THEM POPS. You need those very fans to buy tickets so they can give you them pops so the very fact they're buying those tickets? They ARE, in fact.. Paying the bills, dumb ass.

WWHATT? Not Again.. WWE's "Hidden Gem" Is Again, Not So 'Hidden'.

This is becoming WWAAYY too easy now, but yet still, funny as hell every time I do it.
Renee Young’s WWE audition tape is being added to the WWE Network’s hidden gems section this week. Beth Phoenix vs. ODB vs. Katie Lea (OVW, 2006) and Kaitlyn vs. Rosa Mendes (FCW, 2011) are also being uploaded.
OOHH you mean THIS Kaitlyn vs. Rosa Mendes match from FCW in 2011 that's already been available on Youtube for the PAST SEVEN YEARS!? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waqd8gIdFpg&t=7s
LMAO! I keep asking how is it that the WWE can micromanage every little thing but yet, keep fucking up when it comes to this on an almost weekly basis. Funny how I can't seem to get an answer to that.

Current Announced Card:

Welterweight Championship: Nate Wings (c) vs. Ace Perry vs. Gory vs. Dylan Bostic

Your main event on September 23 for Welterweight 4 will be a Four-Way Match for the Welterweight Championship, featuring four very deserving competitors -

Nate Wings - current Welterweight Champion, who holds recent wins over Gory & Bostic

Jason Gory - the most recent Welterweight Champion, who holds past wins over Perry and Wings

Ace Perry - first ever Welterweight Champion, holds a recent pinfall win over Gory, and has been consumed with the goal of regaining the Welterweight Title.

Dylan Bostic - defeated Ace Perry in a Streetfight at WW3, blames Perry for the reason he did not defeat Wings to win the title.

All four have been intertwined with one another since virtually day one of the Welterweight brand. All four will have one night and one grand stage to finally fight to a finish.

"That Yung Go Hard" DJ Z vs. "Fresh Prince of Mid-Air" Trey Miguel

"Fresh Prince of Mid-Air" Trey Miguel has had some banner moments inside Turners Hall in recent months. From what many call a show-stealing outing at Welterweight 2, to pinning Myron Reed to survive a 4-Way Elimination Match at Welterweight 3, to taking current Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion Brian Cage to his limit in our sister brand, Premier, in a title defense (not to mention his recent appearances on Impact Wrestling TV itself)! This success has served to motivate Trey even further, as he now looks to test himself against the absolute best he can find.

DJ Z is one of the most dynamic and well-rounded athletes anywhere in the world. A former 2-time X-Division Champion, and proficient in all styles, Z first wrestled in Turners Hall at age 20, and has a rich history in Cleveland with PWO/PRIME Wrestling, among other organizations. Z is absolutely always at the top of his game, and is looking to win big in his Welterweight debut! Z certainly embodies the Welterweight spirit, as he has traveled the world and refused to give up for well over a decade, regardless of size or stature, and "That Yung Go Hard" now enters battle against someone who has mirrored that journey thus far.

Who will come out victorious in what could become Match of the Night?

Weight Limit Waived: Brian Pillman Jr. vs. Gregory Iron

Brian Pillman Jr. was brought to Welterweight Wrestling to serve as an ambassador and spokesman for the brand, stemming from the amazing thing his late father had done to innovate and popularize junior-heavyweight wrestling in his day. Instead, Brian sent our broadcast totally off the rails, and took it upon himself to spend an entire segment running the name of Gregory Iron into the ground, claiming Greg has no place in a ring, and is so weak he needs to be eliminated for the sake of not just Welterweight, but the industry as a whole. The incident turned physical when Pillman recruited JaXon Argos to aid in a 2-on-1 attack, that saw both bend Pillman's crutch across Iron's body, leaving Greg in physical and emotional ruin. Iron, however, never stays down permanently, and immediately began petitioning for a match with Pillman. However, since Pillman had no official wrestler's contract, and is 40 pounds of muscle above the Welterweight weight limit, Greg had to sign a waiver absolving Pillman of weigh-in rules, and absolving Welterweight of any liability. Pillman agreed, in most profane terms, and it will be one-on-one, no Argos or Team Storm, no one to keep this confrontation from being settled.

PLUS: "Hot Fire" Myron Reed, "Mr. Excitement" Ryan Kidd, Adrian Quest, Patrick Scott, Jordan Oliver, Malcolm Monroe III, Gavin Glass, Sonny Vice, Cole Radrick & Sage Philips, Atticus Cogar and many more!

DAVE LAGANA DISCUSSES THE NWA 70th ANNIVERSARY, WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE PROMOTION, ALL IN, DEFINES WHAT THE NWA TODAY IS AND MORE WITH SEAN WALTMAN

SEAN ‘X-PAC’ WALTMAN WELCOMES DAVID LAGANA TO DISCUSS ALL IN, NWA, AND THE UPCOMING NWA 70TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW ON OCTOBER 21ST. PRESS RELEASE- Los Angeles

Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman Talks About Renee Young’s New Commentary Position: "It’s no surprise to me that smart people in the WWE realized this is a really good move. And it’s not just because -- yeah, part of it is obviously the empowerment of women. But, she’s really good at it! … You don’t want people being put in positions just because they’re a woman. Because I don’t think that does any good for the movement, at all. So, you get capable women that are really good at what they do and you give them a shot to do things. And that’s what this is, and it’s great! And I hope she continues to do a great job. Also, to let everyone know that these aren’t the only positions that can be filled by women in the WWE. You can do this, you know what I mean? So, good for her. Good for you, Renee!"
David Lagana Discusses The NWA Title Match At ALL In: "We all knew what we wanted. And I think that was the goal of this whole project and Nick {Aldis} talks about it, and Cody {Rhodes} talks about it. We wanted to create the big fight feel -- the UFC, Boxing event -- and every decision we made was to execute that. Even from the walks, and you know the aftermath. Everybody, everybody who was there was a part of this story. You know, from the, all the way down to Cody’s brother-in-law, Kevin, and his father-in-law Otis and, and you know, Tim Storm. And everyone was like, why is Divari there, you know? Daivari’s story was amazing… [XPAC: For those who don’t know, why was he there?] So Daivari was there because of this, if there was no Daivari, there would be no Nick Aldis. Some fans would say, Daivari kept Nick sane for a long time at TNA. And helped sort of guide him and get him there. Everybody that was involved in this project from soup to nuts as far as our inclusion had a part in being there. And, you know, it’s the weird cliche of everybody involved in that match too at one point or another decided to say screw the traditional, we’re gonna bet on ourselves. Everyone! From Billy and I, from leaving TNA, to Nick leaving TNA and basically being out of the business to Cody leaving WWE, they, we all had something to prove. And, you know, everyone’s like, ‘oh, what a moment when Cody won!’ The moment to us I think as a team feels the strongest was when the bell rung. For whatever it was, 45 seconds, the crowd simply honored that moment of here’s this dead brand. Deadspin, ‘Billy Corgan buys oldest and deadest brand in pro wrestling’, you know, like, to have it be literally 11 months in to get that reaction for a title match -- it just, it was so overwhelming, that to me was the greatest success point of the match. Cody winning, yes, the crowd was gonna go crazy. But, for them to be that excited for the bell, that was amazing!"
David Lagana Talks About The NWA’s 70th Anniversary Show This October And The New National Championship Belt: "We’re going to bring back the National Championship… I think Sean {Waltman}you will be one of the few people that will really enjoy what we’re going with, with the belt. The belt will have a nod to the past of the NWA and we are going to reveal it till the week of the show if not that night. Because there’s one thing I’ve learned from wrestling fans, they may or not have a lot of hot takes on things {laughs} so we’re gonna have the new championship that week, I look forward to everyone’s hot takes cause there will be them. The people who do know already have hot takes, everyone’s got an opinion on it which means I know it’s gonna work as far as what people want. I’ll say this, there’s nothing like it right now in Pro Wrestling."
David Lagana Talks About Where the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship Will Be Defended At Next: "We did a 10 Pounds of Gold when Billy sold out the Garden {MSG}, and we would love the NWA’s Worlds Heavyweight Championship to be available and defended on any stage imaginable so if it’s Madison Square Garden , if it’s the Barclays Center , if it’s Wrestlemania , if it’s the Tokyo Dome, we have put zero limits on how and where and I think each time we get an at bat were proving our value to be on that stage. Because I remember when the announcement happened at All In, everyone was like ‘oh, Aldis vs. Cody, I mean I guess the moment when Cody wins will be something’ and we over delivered in that moment and I know we can over deliver on any stage. Because I think our success in what we’ve been able to do has proven that."
David Lagana Talks About What Type of Promotion the NWA Is: "We're not a traditional wrestling company with 50 guys under contract, running all these live events were a promotion more like a Money Mayweather promotion or De La Hoya, you know what I mean? We promote fights and have successfully now promoted I would say two really big ones. Like the first was the Tim Storm fight with Nick {Aldis}, we got the attention on two people that they didn’t expect they wanted to see and now with the Cody one we’re a promotional machine. And in reality entertainment is not defined. Go look at traditional entertainment right now and the shifts going on, a sitcom in 1998 had a lot more value than a sitcom in 2010, 2018. So it's all about what the audience wants to watch and how they want to watch it. And the fact that there are a lot of wrestling companies producing a lot of content that people aren’t paying attention to and we've been able to succeed by producing less content, making the content more important."
David Lagana Talks About Making Money and Gaining Experience In The Pro Wrestling Industry: "Too many guys worry about what they’re gonna get paid instead of the opportunity they have. My opportunity to work for Vince McMahon when I was 24 years old was worth more than the hundred thousand dollars I paid to go to college. The exposure you get by learning with someone like Sean {Waltman} or anybody is worth more than the pay day. And if you can understand that you can get a lot further… And trust me I understand the economics of being a Pro Wrestler. And trust me people pay their dues. But I don’t think they really understand the opportunity in front of them when they’re around really smart people."

I Told people My Cody Rhodes Story Got 'Someone's " Attention.. Here's The proof.

Here's the link to the story I did yesterday about Bring twenty bucks and use your own camera to get a pic with Cody. https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2018/09/bring-your-own-camera-and-pay-20-bucks.html Someoen who reads this blog took it to Twitter as I've said many times I don't want a Twitter account. It's enough to catch up on things on FB that having a Twitter would be too much. If someone takes a post on here and posts it there on Twitter, Instagram or whatever, there's nothing I can do about it. But because someone did do that, look who has their attention on this story. Good bad or ugly in the end it I guess helps get the world out on this blog but i do have to say, having THIS GUY'S attention sure has made things interesting.

Once Again Wrestlinginc Uses my Story But Gives me No Credit (Proof is provided)

Wrestlinginc as you can see covered the fact that PWInsider 'claimed' they 'exclusively' confirmed Edge for the 1000th episode of Smackdown and Edge's reaction to it. BBUUTT, WHO.. Was the one that broke this story first? Oh yes, that would be me and here's the link to prove it. https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2018/09/ggrreeaatt-reporting-there-pwinsider.html

I do know for a fact that the link to this story was sent to Werestlinginc and a few other places via at least one person on Twitter (doing me a favor) So they had the link to my story on it. THEY, at Wrestlinginc again, decided to neglect giving me proper credit for it. So when i staert using their stuff, they now have no right to whine and cry because they shadfted me knowing they had the link to my story? Fuck em. Least we know how they operate there at Wrestling inc, don't we.

"How Simple Can It Be"? Article On Booking Simple Angles I Just Wrote.

I find it funny that the 'creative' in WWE and Impact (I can probably add ROH too) seem to have a hard time 'creating' things that truly get over with fans. WWE Micromanages so much that they've forgotten that the simplest things have helped get an angle or feud over. Impact with Don “I'm going to get rid of the silliness in Impact' Callis, who with Scotty D'Amore books and writes the 'silliness' that's STILL in Impact Wrestling also has forgotten how simple things are way more effective.

So instead of saying the examples that prove my point, I'm going to show them. Because proof is a mother fucker and the proof shows, I'm very correct in this opinion.

David Von Erich vs Terry Gordy from World Class Championship Wrestling. This has always been my first 'go to' when it comes to simple angles that work. Kevin Von Erich was injured by the Freebirds so he couldn't wrestle Buddy Roberts, so David substituted for Kevin, Gordy for Roberts and if you watch the match. You'll see how well that went over. No scripted promos no micromanaging every little detail, just simple straight up angle between two stables that helped further their ongoing feud.

Bobby Heenan burns Pepper Gomez with a lit cigar. Long before Johnny Valiant's 'Dream Team' did it to Barry Windham in the WWF (and other examples I'm sure I can come up with) 1974 in Bob Luce/ Dick The Bruiser's WWA in Indiana is where this originated from. Another simple angle to hype up an upcoming house show (your know, when house shows actually MEANT SOMETHING? Remember how that used to be? ) If Gomez wins then Heenan doesn't come out and manage in the main event. Heenan was good even back then. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHsYr-52wRw

Roddy Piper confronts Matt Borne. This is from Don Owens Pacific Northwest Wrestling's “Portland Wrestling” show. Art Barr (Known as Beetlejuice at the time, and later in WCW as 'The Juicer”) was getting bullied by Matt Bourne, Piper makes the save and a hair vs hair match is booked. Very simplistic but very effective and by how the fans reacted to it, got over well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpnW_DcYU_I

Jerry 'The King' Lawler vs Kerry Von Erich (AWA World Title vs World Class World Title) This is from the Sporttorium in Dallas Texas. The very first time Lawler and Von Erich faced each other. Lawler pops Kerry before the match, it's 'alleged' that Lawler's glove is loaded, and enhances the title vs title rivalry. One move in one match that yeilds lots of heat. See how simple this is? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrGrP98AOQA

So there you go, Four different examples from three different wrestling federations, on how simple it is to do angles that work. Maybe WWE and Impact should take notes from these examples so they can go back to remembering how simple it used to be, and can still be. It's pretty sad that indy groups that run weekly shows book more simply and get over more stuff than the major feds do.. Another lesson maybe the major feds should go and re-learn.

An Article From An Old Web Page of Mine, What I Thought Then? Still Holds Today

And I still "Cut thru the bullshit" as a 'sheet writer' today, unfortunately there's so much bullshit and it's too easy for me to cut thru it. BUT, nobody else wrestling writer wise does it so I guess the old niche has become the very niche that works. If my formula isn't broke, why fix it :) http://prowrestlingmemories.angelfire.com/howibecameafan.html

"GGRREEAATT Reporting" There, PWInsider, LOL. Look at this, Funny as hell comeback.

Maybe they should've asked Edge about this before "exclusively reporting" anything, LMAO! This is what you call a 'BOOM" moment.

In a pure clash of pure lucha libre, Drago and Horus will attempt to grapple the gold away from the Luchas Bros… but can they?
We’ll also get an update on Kevin Sullivan following the vicious attack on Sully by Brian Pillman, Jr and the Hart Foundation. “The French Canadian Frankenstein” PCO stomps his way to the squared circle this week as he takes on an MLW original in the “Notorious 187” Homicide! Will PCO prove he’s truly not human in his singles debut in MLW or will the street certified veteran Homicide thump PCO back north of the border? Team Filthy’s Fred Yehi will also be in competition as he takes on newcomer Richard Holliday. Plus the advocate for sleaze Joey Ryan swings by. Literally. I'm Sure I'm The Only One Finding This Funny. Chris Jericho "All In" Appearance Resulted In No Immediate Sales For His Cruise

Chris Jericho's surprise appearance at "All In" served two functions. One is that it added yet another element to the historic nature of the event as no one expected Jericho to show up with Fozzy performing 500 miles away that very same night.
The other function of Jericho showing up was to further his multi-country feud with Kenny Omega. After attacking Omega, Jericho then told him "I'll see you at the Chris Jericho Cruise" which will continue the feud between the two that started at Wrestle Kingdom 12.
Yet despite further building up the Jericho-Omega showdown on the cruise, Jericho revealed that cruise sales haven't benefitted in the manner that he thought they would.
"I found out today that I sold zero cabins yesterday," Jericho said on his podcast a couple of days after All In. "Everyone's watching the pay-per-view [on demand] so hopefully it goes that way."
Omega was previously announced for the cruise before All In and most figured that he would be involved with Jericho in some way. Jericho confirmed a match between the two at All In but it hasn't done much for cabin sales as of yet.
Chris Jericho's Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager at Sea will set sail on Oct. 27 so there's still time for fans to buy in. Jericho describes it as a "once in a lifetime experience".
(If you say so, LOL).

Bring Your Own Camera, And Pay 20 Bucks For A Pic w/Cody, What Bullshit.

Surfside Dr. in the city of Port Hueneme. Seating is first come first serve. For news and information please follow @nwa and @cwfhollywood on Social Media.

Every wrestler i had a pic taken with? King Kong Bundy, George Steele, Tito Santana, Chris Hamrick, etc. They either had a guy taking pictures for them or the promotion provided a camera. So openly saying you have to pay twenty dollars to use YOUR WON CAMERA to get a picture taken smell of someone being a cheapskate. Championship Wrestling From Hollywood is that cheap they can't even just provide a camera for this? (Shakes head).

Joey Mercury Arrest Update.

Former WWE star and current Ring of Honor Producer Adam Carlson Birch aka Joey Mercury, 39 years old, was released from the Cook County Department of Corrections over the last 48 hours after being arrested over "All In" weekend when authorities discovered an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Orange County, Florida.

Authoriries in Schaumburg, IL confirmed to  that Birch is no longer being held at the facility.  We have been told that the warrant is in relation to an old "non-violent" issue.  The Schaumburg Police Department stated that they “had contact” with Birch at 6:58 AM outside of 50 North Martindale Road, which is the address of The Marriott Schaumburg.  PWInsider.com was told that authorities were notified of Birch sleeping in his car outside the hotel.  They approached Birch and after running his personal information, discovered he was wanted on the aforementioned outstanding warrant in Orange County, Florida and was taken into custody.  He was not charged and will not be charged with anything in Illinois.

Birch had been involved in the planning of “All In”, including helping to put together the pre-show battle royal (one of the best battle royals in years, as it turned out) and work the gorilla position, but after his arrest, others stepped in to handle Birch’s duties.

Moose Talks The Difference Between His Time In ROH And Impact, Favorite Feud

Moose spoke with Pro Wrestling Post about the difference between his time in ROH and Impact, the future of his character, and his favorite feuds. Here are some of the highlights:
The biggest difference from his time in ROH and Impact:
"I used to think that every match back then I had to do a cool dive or a high-risk maneuver that would take its toll and damage to my body. Whereas now, I don't even think about doing it. It doesn't even cross your mind."
Where he sees the Moose character going:
"To see how Moose was when I started in Impact Wrestling two years ago compared to where he is at now, we can see an evolution in the character. It will just play itself out because if it's not broken then don't fix it, right?"
Feuds he has been the most pleased with:
"I think my feud with Austin [Aries] means the most to me. When we look at what is at stake, being for the World Championship, it doesn't get bigger than that. We are fighting over the biggest prize in our company, which is the Impact Wrestling World Championship, so whatever other feuds I have been in it hasn't reached the magnitude of this. It's just what we are fighting for that makes it the most important, what is on the line. The things I did with Bobby [Lashley] were pretty big. It was a cross-promotional thing with [American Top Team] and MMA, and I know fans loved it. I definitely learned a lot working with Bobby."

Guess What David, it was one Of the Worst Ideas, Ever. David Arquette On Why Vince Russo Thought His WCW World Title Win Would Be A Good Idea

Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion David Arquette stopped by 317 Gimmick Street for a conversation with WWE Hall Of Famer Steve Austin. Among many other things, Arquette discussed his pro wrestling fandom, why he is getting back into the pro wrestling genre, and winning WCW's top prize nearly 20 years ago.
According to Arquette, he was always a fan of pro wrestling and taking on the film project of Ready To Rumble was just a way for the legacy actor to reconnect with his beloved pastime.
"I loved [pro] wrestling since growing up." Arquette recalled, "I saw Andre The Giant and Hulk Hogan back at the Sports Arena. We'd go to all the roadshows growing up, so I always loved it. And then, Ready To Rumble happened and it was just a chance for me to sort of tap back into something I loved as a kid and sort of tap into the crazy fan that I was. And then, I got to meet all my heroes. I got to travel with Hulk Hogan and Sting, 'Diamond' Dallas Page, and get to know the guys. And in promoting the movie, they had me go on the road and I ended up the champ. I don't know what happened, but it happened."
Also during the interview, Arquette shared that he started training for pro wrestling recently because people gave him so much grief for his failed world title run in WCW.
"I never really got the opportunity to wrestle, so just 18 years later, after a lot of people gave me grief, I was like, 'I want to do it right,' so I've been training with Peter Avalon, a great wrestler/trainer." Arquette continued, "I'm getting back into [pro] wrestling 18 years later. I just had my first match... It was amazing... Against RJ City. I got my butt kicked, but it's alright. It was good. It was a good match at Championship Wrestling From Hollywood."
Apparently, Vince Russo, who crowned Arquette WCW champ, thought the world title run would have worked out differently because Arquette was a true fan.
"I actually recently talked to Vince Russo on his podcast." Arquette remembered, "and then, he explained it to me. He said that part of the reason he thought it would be alright because when I first got there, I was running around. I did something with, Jarrett, Jeff Jarrett, and I had his guitar and I went around all the wrestlers and had them sign it. I was just a fan. And he was like, and that was part of the reason I was different. I wasn't just an actor. I was truly a fan of wrestling, so that's kind of the idea behind it."
Arquette noted that he thought being WCW World Heavyweight Champion was a mistake, but he was talked into it.
"Yeah, I said I didn't think it was a good idea!" Arquette admitted, "but, then, after a few minutes, I thought it would be fun just to travel and get a little taste of the business. So yeah."

Justin Credible Released From Jail (for how long THIS TIME?)

Former WWE and ECW star PJ Polaco, a.k.a. Justin Credible, was released from the New Haven Correctional Facility on Saturday. He was arrested last Wednesday for third degree assault, disorderly conduct and violation of his protective order. It was his second arrest in the last 30 days. Due to the protective order and terms of his release, he is not allowed to return home to his wife Jill and family. He has a critical court date on October 1st.
David Gere, who is one of the producers of the CREDIBLE documentary,.  bailed him out. He was held on $50,000 bond. "I just came out of there," Polaco said to various sources.  "That's a place I don't want to be. For all the fans that have supported me, trust me, I've been in this business for 25 years and 45 years of my entire f--king life, not to go out like this. Not for you, not for me, not for anything, I will not let you down. I swear to Christ as I stand here today, I will not go back there ever again.".
The producers of CREDIBLE have been chronicling the highs and lows of Polaco's journey. Their provision to Polaco was that he immediately begin a formal treatment program. Recent attempts at inpatient treatment have fallen short. Polaco is checking into an intense recovery program program this Monday for 30 days in Kent, Connecticut.
"Pete not only needs help through immediate treatment which is set to start next week, but he need to get out of jail which we were able to arrange [on Saturday]," Executive Producer Douglas Cartelli said. "Pete has been on the right path, but he has recently derailed - again. The hope for Pete as shown in the documentary is to make a complete recovery and win back his life."
"PJ has been fighting for light and now for his basic freedom, as serious charges and the very real fear of extended imprisonment is hanging hard lover him," added Gere." Those of us who care greatly for him are fighting with PJ to send away the darkness he has become so accustomed to."
