Request A Release From A Job You Don't Like.. Request Gets Denied, Welcome To WWE

How nice of the WWE to force a guy to stay in a place he doesn't want to be in and be ina  company that won't use him correctly..
Sin Cara took to Twitter this afternoon to announce that he has requested his release from WWE.
It looks like Cara will remain under contract to WWE as word going around today is that WWE officials will not be granting the release request, So he's stuck at a job he doesn't like in a company he doesn't want to be a part of anymore.
Furthermore, Cara was scheduled to go on to WWE TV at the end of the current European tour, but now plans have changed and he will be going home instead of going on to next Monday's RAW in Boston, Massachusetts.
And THIS.. Is what happens when you actually get the balls to ask to be released from a company that knowingly isn't using you correctly.Cara is working the current WWE European tour, losing singles matches to Andrade. He's getting jobbed out, further proving that WWE has no clue how to promote a guy right and when the guy they're 'creatively challenged' to push correctly asked to leave, because of that reason? They job him out as their response.. And wrestlers actually WANT to work for a place like this? Think that THIS is the ultimate place to be at? Um, think again cause they're showing by their actions.. They're not.
It was also reported today that the masked Superstar reportedly has 3 years left on his current WWE contract. Word going around is that Cara is interested in working for the Combate Americas MMA promotion, who also employs several pro wrestlers, including his good friend Alberto El Patron.
God forbid they let a guy go that they can't use right so he can get success elsewhere, LOL Yep.. Welcome to the weird world of the WWE/

Chris Cruise talks about McMahon losing touch, AEW's potential to survive, and much more.

Chris Cruise talks about McMahon losing touch, AEW's potential to survive, and much more.

Former WCW announcer Chris Cruise was Ken Resnick’s guest on VOC Nation’s Wrestling with History podcast.  Chris opened up about his thoughts on the current state of the business, his thoughts on AEW, his friendship with the Sammartino family, and much more.  Here are some highlights:

On how he started in pro wrestling:  “I was always a reporter; I was an army reporter and then I got out, started in the small markets and worked my way up.  At first I was with WWE for Wrestlemania 1 working in media and public relations.  From there, I went back to Maine, then down to Atlanta to CNN and then to WCW.”

On Whether he preferred to know the finishes prior to each match:  “I was just a golden throated pitch man so I was just going to do whatever they told me.  I was low on the totem pole so I didn’t feel like I could speak up.  In those days, kayfabe was fading but it was still there. People wanted to protect the business somewhat, and announcers were treated as outsiders.”

On Jim Herd’s time in charge of WCW:  “One of the mistakes I think he made was (being) overconfident and not listening to the people who were real experts.  He made the mistake of thinking that he knew more than he did, and that the people around him didn’t know anything.  Herd had the problem of knowing just enough to be dangerous; he had this surface knowledge of pro wrestling…it was clear very early on that he couldn’t handle (the business).”

On AEW:  “AEW has millions of dollars from the son of a billionaire and is not setting the world on fire and will not succeed.  It may last a long time, but will never be profitable.  Somebody once said ‘if you want to be a millionaire, start with a billion dollars and buy an airline.’  It’s the same thing with a pro wrestling organization; it’s just going to bleed you dry.  Not everything is guaranteed to last forever.  It’s my convention that wrestling has seen better days.”

On the state of pro wrestling today:  “Because you’re dealing with cable networks, broadcast networks, and advertisers, the edge has been taken out of pro wrestling.  The WWE Performance Center is churning out these generic babyfaces and heels who are corporate and safe.  You can’t tell the difference between them at all…instead of going out drinking after the match, they go back and play video games.  They’re not really interesting, they’re vanilla.  The challenge is, none of these guys are allowed to break free; if they do, the producers come down hard on them…you have to fit and stay in your lane.  They overproduce them.  Two million viewers is nothing to sneeze at but it’s just not what it used to be.  People talk about the popularity of pro wrestling, but journalistically it’s not a sound argument”

On why WWE business is down:  “Ultimately people want to see stars.  Vince has always said ‘no they want to come see the WWE brand.’  But they’re not:  House shows are down, ratings are down.  It’s because people can’t see stars.  People don’t just go to the movie theater to see a movie; they go to see Tom Cruise, or Kristen Stewart, or Schwarzenegger…it’s a star driven business, it’s the entertainment business, but McMahon wants it to be about the brand.”

On his work on the WCW All Nighter broadcasts:  “They got a big hotel room and there were all these announcers:  Tony Schiavone, Bobby Heenan, Gordon Solie…I knew that I had to be something different.  It’s interesting:  25 years later and that’s the thing that people ask me the most about today.  I just tried to be different and stand out and have some fun with it.”

On Eric Bischoff:  “I think like a lot of people he got into a position that he wasn’t fully qualified for and he made the best of it.  With his most recent four month stint in WWE, he was probably exposed for not being a transformational visionary leader. When he was appointed head of WCW, he had this entire corporate structure under him.  When he got to the WWE recently, it showed that the Emperor had no clothes.  When he was forced to perform and do it on his own, it just wasn’t there.”
On his relationship with Bruno Sammartino:  “I’m respectful but I’m also very blunt.  He was surrounded by sycophants.  I think the way that (our friendship) deepened is that I would speak bluntly and speak the truth, agree with him on some things and disagree on others.  We just always got along.  We had a relationship that went beyond pro wrestling.  Shortly before he died, I taught a class on his life at the community college in Pittsburgh.  The story that Bruno had – surviving the Nazis, surviving rheumatic fever – it’s quite an accomplishment.  There were two times that a plane that he missed crashed and everyone aboard died.”

Sin Cara Requests Release From WWE

Sin Cara announced that he has asked for a WWE release:

In the Twitter post. Cara noted that while he appreciated his time in WWE, he asked for a release yesterday as he does not feel valued as a talent and athlete.  He stated that he worked hard for the company and has waited for an opportunity to come, but feels that the opportunity will never come as long as he remains where he is.

Cara, real name Jorge Arias, 42, is the second performer to perform under as the Cara character for WWE, replacing the original talent.   Formerly known as Hunico and Incognito, he signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2009 after wrestling for AAA in Mexico and elsewhere.

Cara as three years remaining on his current WWE deal.

The word making the rounds among WWE talents is that Cara, who is close with Alberto el Patron, has interest in going to work for MMA promotion Combates America, which features a number of pro wrestlers.

He remains on the ongoing UK tour and has not left to return to the United States.

A number of talents, including Luke Harper and Mike Kanellis, have publicly asked for releases over the last year but remain with the company.

New York City Indie Wrestler Matt Travis Passes Away

New York City independent wrestler Matt Travis has passed away,  He passed away earlier today after a traffic accident.
Matt Travis wrestled for both House of Glory and Gamechanger Wrestling.
Amazing Red, who trained him, wrote tonight on Twitter, "I just can't. I don't understand life sometimes. I'm gonna try and pull it together for you today. I just want to see you! Talk to you! I'm sorry. I love you Matty."

EVOLVE WRESTLING NOTES

Josh Briggs won the EVOLVE Championship from Austin Theory at the EVOLVE event in Queens, NY last night.  The title change had been planned for some time but it had been a matter of when was the proper time to finish up Theory who signed a WWE NXT deal while Champion.  Theory will finish up with EVOLVE later today at their event in Queens.  Briggs being tapped to be champion means he's pretty much been given an open door in terms of upwards mobility as the last several EVOLVE Champions all landed in the WWE system.

Austin Theory will face Curt Stallion at EVOLVE later today in Brooklyn.  It's the first time they've ever faced off.
Shotzi Blackeart will also be finishing up with EVOLVE in Brooklyn.  Blackheart, the reigning SHINE NOVA Champion will face SHINE Champion Allyson Kay

Matt Sydal's return to EVOLVE and the Evan Bourne name didn't go as planned.  Sydal was wrestling Leon Ruff.  He began experiencing numbness in his arm and fears he may have suffered a neck injury over the course of the match.  Sydal walked out of the ring and was treated backstage by medical staff required to be at the show.  He was checked out and was fine, but is still experiencing numbness and may not compete during Sunday's event.  We are told there's a "small chance" he will wrestle.

Darby Allin commented over the weekend at Starrcast that he wanted all those there to tell "EVOLVE to go f*** themselves."  There were a lot of people upset about that within EVOLVE, feeling he was given opportunities there that allowed him to land where he did.  Allin and EVOLVE's relationship ended poorly.  It's been claimed privately in some circles that Allin had to buy himself out of his EVOLVE contract, but that's never been confirmed officia

AEW Becoming WCW?

I thought the title of this, "AEW Becoming WCW? " is quite fitting because contrary to all their claims of wanting to be the alternative to WWE, signing Virgil is straight out of the WCW signing playbook.

WCW did this same thing by hiring guys from the WWE and alot of them really didn't do much to move the needle in ratings, asses in seats, pay per view buys or any of that. They were only signed because they had a run in the WWE.

SSOO, if you're really wanting to be an alternative to the WWE? HOW, does the signing of Virgil fall into being that 'alternative'? I'd LOVE to hear the logic and mentality behind that.
I mean let's be serious and honest here. What difference has Virgil been for ratings, really 'anywhere'? None.. How pay per view buys has he generated? None, and how many asses has he put into seats as of late? Same answer, none.

So for a company that claims it wants to generate its own stars, give the young guys a platform for them to shine and all that company line.. Here they go and sign the 'HUGE ATTENDANCE DRAW" of.... Virgil..

Think about that, and let that sink in...

See, not many if any of the other 'well known wrestling writers will come out with something like this. let along have the balls to openly say something and call out AEW on this.. SO, since they won't and I'm always 'that guy' who does? here it is, I'm calling them out on it.

Virgil isn't a guy you use to help enhance the younger talent.. You already HAVE guys there that can do that, in Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson. So unless Tony Khan is a 'Virgil mark', there's no reasonable, sensible or logical reason for signing Virgil.. This was a waste of money and in the end, won't mean a thing except money that could've been used better, elsewhere.

This also comes on the heels of a Chris Jericho interview where he stated that AEW wasn't interested in hiring anyone right now..

HHMMM, not interested in hiring anyone.. Signing Virgil... Makes you go, HHMMM.

I mean he did say it, in an interview with ScreenGeek he said those exact words.. Here, since proof is a mother fucker and I'm always a mother fucker that has proof, here's the proof.

There it is, in black and white..

So it's nice to see that everyone in AEW is on the same page, NOT! LMAO!

If you're hiring anyone then how do you explain signing Virgil? How do you explain signing someone who makes no difference, in any area of your company? How is it, you explain signing someone who, same as when he was in WCW, just occupied space and got paid for occupying space? Why not bring in The Nasty Boys while you're at it? Hell bring in Brutus beefcake to for that matter, at least with the latter two,m their names actually MEANT something compared to.... Virgil.. I mean if you're gonna sign people who don't matter and will just drain your bank account, the least you can do is do so with someone who has some actual name value somewhere.

Mike Graham was quoted once saying "Jeff Jarrett never drew a dime". In Memphis he did, and at least Jarrett, good or bad had some sort of name value.. With Virgil? He won't even draw a penny for AEW.

On the heels of a great Cody Rhodes promo, comes.. The Signing of Virgil.. If you really want to truly BE, an alternative to WWE.. Stop pulling pages out of the WCW playbook and using them. Because this particular page? Is a flop.

Chris Jericho On Why He Didn't Expect Randy Orton To Sign With AEW, Seth Rollins - Kenny Omega Jabs

As a veteran in AEW, Chris Jericho has seen pro wrestling from all angles. He's wrestled superstars and talent waiting to get their moment. At times, he knows what works and what doesn't, hence why he's been around for so long.
AEW and NXT are currently in a Wednesday Night War. Jericho was around for the first war between WWE and WCW. Something that wasn't around during that time was Twitter, and we have seen stars like Seth Rollins and Kenny Omega debate on which company is the best. Speaking with Sportskeeda, Jericho discussed the idea of representatives from companies interacting with one another.
"Sure, anytime there's an option and it gives people a chance to take sides it's exciting," Jericho stated. "Am I going to be involved? I don't argue with people on Twitter, I just say what I mean to people's faces you know? The one or two things that I've said that are kind of anti-WWE weren't really planned at all, they just kind of happened due to what was going on and what I was doing in the ring. So, if those guys want to fight, or bicker as you said, then go for it. It just creates more passion, shall we say, and more relevance and more of a battle, I guess, more excitement. All of those sorts of things and if people want to get involved that way and get behind it 'ooh, did you hear what he said' then more power to them."
One of the verbal spats Omega had was when he called NXT talent "developmental", while also stating they would be on AEW dark matches, causing controversy with wrestlers and fans. It was one of the first times the representative of the organization stated something about the competition. While AEW does it in bits and pieces, there are moments where the comparing is broadcasted for the world to hear. Does Jericho, one of the best promo guys in the business when it comes to trash-talking, care about what the other side does?
"I don't really care, I mean that's up to you guys to decide," Jericho continued. "What AEW should focus on is putting on the best show possible and if people are talking s--- and you want to respond to it then that's fine too because so far the four weeks of television we've had have been great, the ratings have been awesome, the demo has been insanely great. So, whatever. For me it's like, you can analyze it and say you should do this or you should do that. All we should do is continue to do what we're doing to remain a very popular show that's in competition with nobody. We didn't start this war, if that's what you want to call it, we didn't start this competition, we're just doing our own thing. If there are contenders at the door knocking and trying to get into our world, that's fine."
AEW is less than a year old and already it is creating a buzz in the wrestling and entertainment industry. With a deal with TNT and talent looking to come in, there are plenty of ways to improve the product as time goes on.
"But to me the most important thing is what are we doing right as a company? What are we doing wrong as a company? What can we do better? Once again we've got four weeks of television under our belts, it's not like we've had ten years of experience, or eight years of experience or whatever, to get everybody on the same page," Jericho stated. "Of course, there's going to be some growing pains but so far the numbers tell the tale of what's going on. So, whether you want to say something about it or don't' say something about it, or concentrate on something else, or concentrate on this, either way we're doing really, really well and we're going to continue to do well, so say what you want to say, I don't give a s---."
AEW has several former WWE stars on their roster, from Jon Moxley to PAC to Cody Rhodes himself. With rumors of Randy Orton wanting to go to AEW, so much so that he teased it on Instagram, how possible is it to happen? Jericho had mixed feelings about what is actually possible.
"I can't say anything about it because I don't know anything about it, no one's calling me to tell me about these things," Jericho continued. "But I know this—nobody is getting out of WWE, especially Randy Orton, because unless he's very, very committed to saying 'I don't care if you pay me 20 gazillion dollars I'm leaving,' that's not what he's doing. I mean, obviously Vince is going to pay millions and millions of dollars to not have Randy Orton go."
Orton squashed those rumors as he just recently signed a multi-year deal to stay with WWE. Even if Orton or The Revival don't leave WWE, there are other stars who may want to jump ship. The one thing Jericho does not want AEW to become, however, is something that people will put a label on.
"There are some other guys but we're not trying to be old-school TNA where anybody that wants to leave WWE comes to AEW, that's not what we're looking to do," Jericho stated. "Obviously there's Jon Moxley that when they become available [we sign them]. And Moxley was one of those guys who said 'I'm out of here, I don't care what you pay me' and didn't even look at the offer they gave him. That's because he was done and ready to go. If you're using AEW to make more money off of Vince, go for it! That's great too but it's not like we're taking everybody that's going to leave WWE to come to AEW. Because those guys who are working WWE now, they got huge raises, and if they were on the Indy circuit they wouldn't be making 500 bucks a night."
When it comes to talent leaving, Jericho does see the rumors as a positive. They may not shell out the money Vince McMahon would normally give to wrestlers, but the opportunity to grow and connect is something that separates themselves from everyone else.
"The point is that Vince just doesn't want anybody to leave WWE because it looks like an exodus if they do and makes us look even cooler," Jericho stated. "We do things our way, we've got a great roster of guys and if somebody becomes available that really wants to be with us and we think that they fit our vibe then we'll take them. It doesn't mean that they're going to get millions and millions of dollars to come because once again, that's not what we're doing. I think we've assembled an awesome roster with at least ten to twelve potential main eventers and we have to build all those guys up first to build up all the mid-card guys, and then build up all the opening match guys to create stars. That's what we have to do, quickly, create stars. And once we do that we'll be even higher up the food chain than we are now."
Jericho will in action once again for AEW when he faces Cody Rhodes for the AEW World Title at Full Gear. The event will be on November 9 and will be held inside the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

NWA Powerrr | Episode 5 | James Storm vs. Colt Cabana

NWA Powerrr returns with Episode 5 with the main event of James Storm vs. Colt Cabana for the NWA National Championship.

In Episode 4 of NWA Powerrr, it was the manipulation of Eli Drake that lead to the six man tag team match between Team Aldis and Team Storm. The stakes were high and in the end Team Aldis won and lead to Colt Cabana getting. this shot. This rivalry with Colt Cabana and James Storm dates back to The NWA Crockett Cup and escalated when Storm manipulated an injury of Cabana to win the NWA National Championship. Also in this episode of NWA Powerrr, Tim Storm speaks with Joe Galli about his future. Plus the in-ring debut of Thunder Rosa as she faces Ashley Vox. The Dawsons are in action but we know Eddie Kingston & Homicide are looking for their revenge. We can confirm that Aron Stevens is looking to go one more round with Ricky Starks and has asked the National Wrestling Alliance for a special stipulation.

Content 'Only Available Exclusively To Subscribers'? Um Wrong Again PWInsider

Yes, once again the 'geniuses' over at PWInsider didn't do any real research and have now, thanks to me once again.. Look very stupid with their false claim of this certain content only being available 'exclusively' to their subscribers.

They're so fucking dumb, HAD THEY, actually did alittle research? They would've found out that this content was posted onto YouTube.. YESTERDAY!! And yet, PWInsider is making their false claim about this exclusive only to their VIP membership, TODAY..

Yes, you can say "DDUUHH, Dipshits" to them, anytime you'd like. But since proof is a mother fucker and I am, the mother fucker who always supplies the proof? Here's the proof on what dumb mother fuckers Mike Johnson and PWInsider really are. Dumb, or lazy or both.. You decide.

Here's their latest false claim..

Yeah, they'd like you to THINK it's only available exclusively if you're a paying VIP member.. BBUUTTT, lookie lookie at what's over on Youtube.. (smiles)

The very thing they claimed falsely that is only 'available exclusively' to members of PWInsiderElite.com, bwahahahahahahahhahahaha!!!

If you ever wanted a case of blatant and obvious false advertising, I just gave it to you..

And here, since you don't.. have to be a paid member of PWInsider's ahem (cough cough) 'elite' service, here's the link to the very thing they falsely claim is only exclusive if you're dumb enough to pay for a lot of content you can get for free elsewhere. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-E1V9w80Tk

I swear, they must enjoy looking like idiots.. And as long as they want to keep looking stupid with these false claims? I'll be more than happy to continue showing, how stupid they are, every time they make these stupid yet false claims.

But go ahead and click the link I supplied, because contrary to their bullshit claim, it's NOT, as exclusive to their subscibers as they'd lead you to believe. And you can thank me again, for showing you this fact... You're welcome. :)

Hugo Savinovich Continues To Say That There's More To WWE Talent Being Stranded In Saudi Arabia

Statements from WWE talent and other people close to the situation in Saudi Arabia continue emerging after reports claimed people from the company were stranded in Saudi Arabia following their Crown Jewel event this past weekend.
As seen above via THE HANNIBAL TV, former WWE Spanish commentator, Hugo Savinovich, has continued to speak out about his claim that WWE stars were kept from flying out of the Middle East because the company was owed millions of dollars for two of the shows that the company held in Saudi Arabia.
"It was a very difficult and dangerous situation because of the fact that Saudi Arabia had already been in serious trouble when they killed that reporter in Turkey at the embassy. So the boys were a little bit - not a little bit, they were very, very concerned," Hugo added. "Vince (McMahon) had left the country already and Brock (Lesnar) had his own plane. It was just about big, big money, millions of dollars that this guy did not send and Vince got upset and cut the feed for South Arabia.
"And that has the Prince upset, and it stopped them from leaving the country and got them off the plane," Hugo continued. "So basically what they're doing is they're originally trying to make it look like it was just a mechanical situation, but an executive from the company - well, my wife had died, so they were just calling to comfort me. At the same time, I was told not to mention any names but they were concerned, they were very concerned."
Hugo even went as far as to say that the WWE superstars were "kidnapped" while waiting to exit Saudi Arabia. He affirmed that the talent is indeed upset about what transpired and there will be more people speaking out about the matter.
"A friend of mine that is from Saudi Arabia, that I've known for years and years since the era of VHS tapes that I used to do from Puerto Rico, he also gave me the scoop about what happened at the airport," Hugo explained. "So a lot of people will be talking more about it. The boys are very upset, so I don't know what the deal is."
"Of course, we always know that money talks. And if Vince gets the millions of dollars, and maybe the Middle East - that big TV contract, because it didn't happen and in one day he lost over 200 million dollars (in stock value). So, it's a very complicated situation but the talent was, you know, I don't want to use the word kidnapped but he ordered a kidnapping and the guys were stopped from leaving the country."
As noted, AJ Styles recently appeared on the video game streaming service, Mixer, and shed some light on the events that transpired when the company was attempting to leave the Middle East this past weekend.
"What was the problem? Not really sure - heard there was a fuel truck in the way and the guy who drove the truck had left to go home. I know, this makes no sense. Why would the fuel guy leave if he knows he's got a plane that's leaving? Then there were some paperwork issues. Finally, after at least 4-5 hours, we get on the plane. Then they found something wrong, the fuel or something or another was broken. People can say what they want, 'It wasn't broken.'
"But I talked to the pilot. On that 14-hour flight the pilots, I guess they take naps as well. We were all chatting, sitting around on this flight and he said, 'Listen, there was a problem. That's a real thing'... Were there guns? Were there people yelling 'EVERYBODY OFF THE PLANE!'? No, that never happened," Styles continued. "My wife called me in a panic, she's scared to death. I go, 'Babe, listen, we're just not able to go anywhere. It is not a big issue, nobody has threatened to kill us.' There was none of that going on. Nobody was going to get murdered, it never happened."
