KILLER KROSS DISCUSSES HIS SIDE OF THE IMPACT WRESTLING ISSUES, BEING PULLED FROM AAA'S NYC EVENT, WHY HE HASN'T BEEN GIVEN A RELEASE

Kevin "Killer" Kross sat down with Brian Fritz of The Sporting News yesterday to discuss his ongoing issues with Impact Wrestling.

Where the issues began: "The issues began last year regarding merchandising… I’ve been advised not to go into the full detail of the issues, but I am hoping that they can be resolved as quickly as possible. It’s something I’ve been working on for many months.”

Issues with creative and pay: "I'm in a situation right now where I have to be very careful how I choose to address things. My hands are completely clean in all of this. I have been attempting to get clarification on things that were supposed to be given to me in a timely manner. Some of them have been ... I'm not even sure how to put it. It's so difficult to answer. It's very difficult to even discuss. I'm doing my absolutely best to remain civil and professional on the entire ordeal and it's extremely difficult. I'm really just looking to being treated fairly and I'm just looking to put my best work out there. There are now situations that are occurring where, basically, opportunities are being delayed and I guess, what the easiest way to put it, opportunities are being ... I apologize. It's really the first time I've talked about it. These things I'm attempting to pursue in my career, I'm being blocked from pursuing them for really ridiculous circumstances."

On reports he is seeking to sue to the company: "I’ve actually made it abundantly clear that I have not been interested in going into litigation. I’m not interested in going down that road. I’ve been trying for many, many, many months. I’ve been exhausting all options on how to fix this situation. There’s an attorney involved and we’re not suing anyone. I’ve been trying to avoid litigation as much as possible and, again, I have nothing to worry about in all of this. I really don’t. I’m not on the wrong on any of this and I’m just trying to follow my lane here. I have everything on paper. As I said before, I’m not worried about anything at all. I’ve done nothing wrong — at all. I’m just trying to do the right thing and I wish I would be met with that as well because there’s only one right thing to do here and it’s not being done.”

Whether he regrets signing with Impact: "I don't regret signing the deal from last year despite all of this, to be honest with you, because I've met a lot of really wonderful people and I've been able to have a lot of great life experiences. I think sometimes you get the bad with the good and you get the good with the bad and I always try to remain optimistic that it will work out. There's a sense of gratitude that I can find in all things.   Regarding the finding out about other people making more money and whatnot, I want everyone to make as much money as possible. I don't think there's such a thing as an overpaid person in this business. You get what you get. I was led to believe that these things were not available on any stretch of the imagination and a lot of personal things began occurring in my life where I was really no longer able to maintain being there under the circumstances I was under.  I was told that a lot of things were going to happen that year that there was no follow through on. I tried to express that and I was initially interested in staying onboard. I wasn't trying to leave. I wasn't trying to hold anybody up or strong arm them. That's all, like, insane stuff that people are creating their own context about. That wasn't at all what was happening.  In the process of all that, I was attempting to retrieve something that was owed to me by the company. I had been trying to retrieve that for an extended period of time and I was very cool about it and I was very professional about it. I got along with everyone and I tried to put my best foot forward and I think anyone who watches my work, you'd never know anything was wrong because I had a very small window to optimize my time to perform to the best of my ability for that company and I think everyone would tell you that I came with my working shoes every single time."

Why he wasn't offered a release when he asked for one: "Because I was under contract. That's basically what they told me. They said that they were not going to be giving me my release and I thought that was ridiculous because literally in January, in front of the entire roster in Nashville, management stood in front of everyone and said 'If you are not able to be here or can no longer be here or don't want to be here, we don't want you here and we will part ways.'   That's something that has been told to just about everyone in the company, even prior to me being there, and at that time, it still hadn't even crossed my mind. I was trying to improve my current situation and be on par and track with the things that were supposed to be done for me, essentially. So, they're just ... I guess you'd have to ask them. I wouldn't even be able to speak on their behalf because we're on two totally different pages, unfortunately. "

Not wanting to Blade: "I want it to be understood that I absolutely love Eddie Edwards. I actually used to call him 'The Commander.' That was my nickname for him because I looked at him as the guy who set the standard for work ethic and passion and dedication in the company. He had been there for an extended period of time and had some of the best matches in the company's history and it was a great pleasure to work with him.  Eddie and I had an idea for what we wanted to do that night and the company had a different idea. Eddie and I did the best we could with it. Obviously, there's a story out there and people are discussing it with the whole blood issue. I was pretty pissed about that,"

Being concerned about the recent spread of Hepatitus C on an independent event right before the Slammiversary First Blood Match: "One-hundred percent and I brought that up that day. I talked about it with everyone that day. Some people knew about it, some people didn't. I was really blown away that they were so interested in going in that direction. Why did we have to do it like that? I just did not understand at all. I actually spoke with Tommy Dreamer and I told him I was absolutely not doing that. It's just infuriating."

His reaction to the First Blood match being announced: "Yeah. I was very concerned. I was like 'What the hell?' I was like 'Who's volunteering me for this? We need to have a discussion about this.'
Blading: "I was expecting certain precautions to be taken leading into that and nothing was really formulating. It was an HIV or hepatitis or something, I don't recall exactly, but there was some sort of blood-born pathogen outbreak shortly before that. I've never been OK with people doing that. I never volunteered anyone to do that and I've never asked anyone to do that. I really haven't. If people want to do that, that's fine, but there's a series of steps that should be taken. This isn't the medieval times — we kind of need to grow up here.  It's not about who's tough and who's willing to do this or do that. You're losing blood from an area in your head near your brain. This is no f— joke. There's complication that can occur with that and depending on someone's vitals, their diet that day, water, altitude, there's a lot of s— that could go wrong. I've very passionate about this subject. It's just frustrating.  You'd think we'd be entering into things very differently. There was even one idea pitched that ... Eddie was supposed to be on apron and he was going to grab the cane and hit me directly in my f— face with the cane. That's a real cane — that's not a prop. I'm supposed to put my hands down and get clipped in my f— face? Come on, what are we doing here? I'm all about putting on the best show possible. I really am. But the best show possible doesn't have to entail, I don't know, possibly getting disfigured or contracting a disease. I don't think that needs to be part of the story."

Kross also confirmed that he has been removed from this Sunday's AAA event in New York City at the Hulu Theater, noting, he "was given that date and information brought to my attention as per Ed Nordholm (Executive Vice President of Anthem Sports & Entertainment, IMPACT Wrestling’s parent company), I am now off that show."  Kross stated he was told he is still working for AAA in Mexico, but with Impact co-promoting the NYC event, he had been removed from the NYC date.  Kross commented the situation was "Pretty unbelievable"  and when describing the decision to pull him, noted "It's really actually changed my life and my career. This is just, in my opinion, a really gross circumstance that's occurred and I think it was pretty ill-mannered, respectfully."

Well, At least Impact Wrestling Now Has a Better TV Deal Now, LOL. ANTHEM MEDIA PURCHASES AXS TV

If you can't GET ON a TV Station, Just buy a Network, LOL!

Anthem Media, the parent company of Impact Wrestling, has come to terms on a deal to purchase AXS TV,   The agreement was reached just minutes ago after a long negotiation.

The deal will, obviously, see Impact Wrestling migrate from The Pursuit Channel to AXS, where far more viewers will be able to view the series.  There have been plans in place for secondary Impact programming to debut on Pursuit as well.
This move places Impact Wrestling on the best TV platform it has landed upon in forever as the jumping around from cable network to cable network, something that has been going on for the last five years after SpikeTV pulled a multi-year deal from Dixie Carter, at the time President of Impact, when she declined to take less money in 2014.    Since then, Impact has landed on Destination American, Pop TV and The Pursuit Channel, all with dwindling audiences after each move.  This gives Impact a chance to reverse that trend.

While AXS does not give Impact the entire cable TV and satellite universes, it’s a much larger cable network than they had been on and now they can move forward without a “gun to their head” mentality waiting for the inevitable.

As it was reported back in July, there had been discussions going on for months attempting to secure the purchase of AXS, which would give Anthem Media a much needed footprint in the United States.  The initial hope was to have had the deal done by early July and had that timeline taken place as hoped, Impact Wrestling planned to announce they were moving to AXS the Monday after Slammiversary.

We have been told that Anthem's purchase will not change New Japan Pro Wrestling or WOW's status with AXS, but obviously that can change.  Impact sources are confident in stating that AXS programming will remain in place as it currently exists, although Anthem-owned content, including Impact, will soon migrate over.  Impact Wrestling, under its current management team of Scott D'Amore, Don Callis and Ed Nordholm, have long sought to build a working relationship with New Japan, which has distanced itself in recent months from Ring of Honor, so owning their TV platform gives Impact a nice advantage as New Japan works towards running more in the United States.

AXS TV, formerly HD Net, was launched in January 2001.  While known as HD Net, the network aired ROH on HD Net for a year.  It was rebranded as AXS TV in July 2012.

Former WWE Manager Slick On Why He Believes He's Not In The WWE Hall Of Fame

Back in the 80s and early 90s, managers were as common in WWE as wristlocks and one of the most notable was The Doctor of Style, Slick. He managed such Superstars as Akeem, The Big Boss Man and The Iron Shiek before transitioning to being a broadcaster.
Three years ago Slick was a part of the class action lawsuit against WWE regarding brain injuries suffered in the ring. Being a part of that suit is what Slick believes is keeping him out of the WWE Hall of Fame as he said on the Prime Time with Sean Mooney podcast.
"I think, that I can say with certainty, that I would be in the Hall of Fame, ahead of Teddy Long, had I not have been a part of that lawsuit," stated Slick. "I think I still will [get into the Hall of Fame] because I know Vince... he's mad now, but as time goes by, he'll cool off, and we'll get a chance to talk, and I still believe I will be. If they never put me in there, they're still not going to take away the fact that I was very, very successful, and that my name had become a household name within wrestling circles."
Slick was at the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame but as an inductor instead of an inductee. He posthumously inducted The Big Boss Man into the Hall of Fame and Boss Man's widow and daughters accepted on his behalf.
The class action lawsuit that Slick was a part of was dismissed in September 2018 and Slick was asked if he has any regrets in being part of the suit.
"Of course not. No I don't regret it; it's only fair. I mean, we made [Vince McMahon] millions of dollars, and we've not been fairly compensated. And we have people who get hurt all the time," said Slick. "I don't want to go into that part, but I have great difficulty, even with my memory. Even now, as we've been doing this interview, sometimes I can't remember what it is I want to say."

FORMER PROMOTER & ANNOUNCER JOE PEDICINO RECOVERING FROM STROKE

Joe Pedicino, who over the course of his career has hosted and produced a number of professional wrestling series and worked as a commentator for World Championship Wrestling, suffered a stroke back in June and is currently bed-ridden while undergoing physical therapy due to the loss of the use of his right leg and has had to learn to speak again.

Pedicino's wife, former WWF announcer Boni Blackstone, made the announcement regarding Pedicino's health over the weekend with a YouTube video as he battles back from his health issues.

Pedicino, 69 years old, is best known for several entries into professional wrestling television, one being the late 1980s syndicated This Week in Pro Wrestling series, which he created and produced as well as co-hosted with Gordon Solie.  The excellent series featured clips from across the world of pro wrestling, including at times specific WWF interviews for the series, and covered breaking wrestling news stories.    Bill Apter and later, Paul Heyman would appear on the series regularly.  The show provided a lot of exposure for smaller, regional and international companies to get their material out across the United States in ways that would not have been possible beyond the wrestling magazines of the era.  That series from January 1987 ran through March 1988 with a storyline ending that Paul Heyman had brought the show and ended it.

Pedicino also produced and hosted a syndicated eight-hour block of professional wrestling content alongside Solie and Blackstone out of Atlanta, where he has been based for decades, running that package from 1986 through 1992.   WATV-TV in Atlanta was the nucleus for the package, which aired on Saturday nights from 8 PM - 3 AM Eastern with new host segments built in as wrap-arounds.  The syndication package was an idea Pedicino brought to the station after having only been working for their sales department for about 6-8 weeks, somewhat inspired by what horror host Elvira was doing with older monster and horror films.   The package would feature material from different NWA member promotions, the WWC in Puerto Rico, Continental Wrestling, Memphis Wrestling and even men's and women's professional wrestling from Japan.   Through the series, Pedicino met his wife, Boni Blackstone, who won a contest to become the co-host of the package.

The tail end of the run saw future WCW announcer Scott Hudson do some of his earliest TV work in the business as well, working with Steven Prazak, who went on to work with ECW and the GWF.  At its height, the package was being seen in 90 markets in the United States.

In the early 1990s, Pedicino helped found the Global Wrestling Federation in Dallas and was the face and lead announcer for the group, which ran out of the former Sportatorium, giving national attention to Sean Waltman (Lightning Kid at the time), Marcus Bagwell (working under a mask as The Handsome Stranger), The Patriot, Jerry Lynn, Scott Levy (at the time, Scotty the Body), Mick Foley and others via the series' afternoon time slot on ESPN.  Allegedly backed by a Nigerian businessman, the group was actually backed by Texas businessman Max Andrews and came out strong with lots of other well known names including Eddie Gilbert and Terry Gordy before becoming populated by local Texas stars.  Pedicino would depart the project within a year as costs were cut across the board.

Pedicino also did some commentary and news segments for World Championship Wrestling in the late 1980s.   During his time in the business, Pedicino had put together a number of charity events to raise money for different entities and at one point, raised $10,000 doing a Wrestlethon event on local TV, assisting a fan who needed a liver transplant.

Pedicino had moved on from professional wrestling in the 1990s, beyond some online interactions with fans in the early days of the AOL and Prodigy online services.  He focused most of his attention on owning and operating several radio stations in the Georgia area with his company, Legacy Media South Atlanta.   He worked as General Sales Manager for WCNN in Atlanta and 92.5 The Bear in Fayetteville, GA, among other stations and had retired just a year or so ago from working full-time.  I believe his last pro wrestling-related appearace was at a NWA Legends Fanfest in Atlanta promoted by Greg Price back in 2011.

Pennsylvania Premiere Wrestling- PPW High Voltage - Episode 100

RevPro Wrestling Controversy At last Week's Show.

There was a big controversy in last week's RevPro Wrestling show at York Hall.  During Aussie Open vs. Josh Bodom & Sha Samuels, referee Aaren Wilde evidently ended the match early, saying a few days later that a post-match attack on him was a shoot. He said he was slammed by Samuels and the rest was a blur. RevPro released a statement on Sunday that they had not heard from Wilde during the week nor knew any of the allegations before he went on Twitter to discuss it. They did not respond until Sunday because they said they were gathering all the facts. After speaking to everyone, they said Samuels made a horrible error of judgment but did his best to protect the referee.  They said they are confident he knows what he did wrong and under no circumstances is he allowed to touch a non-wrestler without consent. He will be disciplined and they will have a zero tolerance policy regarding any future incidents. "However, we are confident, given his track record, he will respond to this in the most positive manner possible."
Regarding Bodom, RevPro said his actions did not match his recollection of events and they have no option but to cut ties with him.  They said they hope Bodom will be able to learn and grow from this. The two have been stripped of their British tag team titles immediately. They said that not being aware of this for several days made them realize there is an issue and they have to change that, adding they will be instituting an internal incident report policy specific to performers. A simple form can be filled out and emailed to management if there are any concerns or any official complaints, something they feel will be better in dealing with these types of things in a more timely fashion. The company also said they are publicly apologizing to Wilde and said that if he can't referee going forward, they hope to continue to work with him in other areas of business if he wants to keep working with them.

Killer Kross Shares Video Of Impact Crowd Chanting, 'Free Killer Kross' (LMAO!, Feel The Burn, LOL)

Killer Kross shared a video of the crowd at an Impact event in Las Vegas chanting, "Free Killer Kross." Kross also wrote, "Welcome to the twilight zone."
Killer Kross was denied his release from Impact Wrestling, which he requested his release because of disputes with his contract.
His last appearance for Impact Wrestling was on July 7 at Slammiversary in a First Blood match. Killer Kross wasn't happy with Impact over the match because there was no doctor on hand, so he wouldn't blade himself.
Here's where the video is at. https://twitter.com/i/status/1170411688694181888

Well What Do You Know.. This Weeks "Hidden Gems" Were 'Deliberately Removed' From The WWE Network

Well Well...WELL.. It looks like my story this week on WWE'S latest Hidden Gems being on YouTube has hit a nerve.. A big nerve because without any explanation they've been 'suddenly removed', from the network. Makes you go, HHMMM.

Here's the story right here. https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2019/09/newest-hidden-gem-added-to-wwe-network.html that featured this wonderful shot of Paul Jordan at PWInsider reporting that WWE Network News reported the Hidden Gems..

And here it is, proof in itself that they were removed. The very guy who first reported it, Paul Jordan..

AND.. The announcement fvrom WWE Network News as well.

You can't say I don't 'give credit' for things (smiles)..

I also know for a fact that my story about these latest 'cough cough' hidden gems, and the fact i proved one of them is on YouTube as we speak, went all over the place as a few readers of this blog went ahead and showed WWE Network news, Meltzer, Scherer, and I even saw posts on Twitter on WWE's own accounts as well as Vince McMahon's and Triple H's accounts with links to my story..

So it's pretty easy to see why they were 'deliberately removed' without explanation..

Truth hurt.. And when I speak the truth that no other writer wants to step up and do, it stings, alot...

Nice to know that finally, WWE is paying attention to what's becoming a very popular topic with thios blog.. Hidden Gems that are on Youtube has become a favorite of readers and I plan on continuing to do this topic as it comes up.

McMahon Tells His 'Creatively Challenged' Creative Dept. "To Be Creative", LMAO!

Kinda hard to do when you have a writer falling asleep in the writing room, LMAO! That there tells you how 'creative' the creative there really wants to be. :)

Vince McMahon and the WWE writers held a RAW creative meeting that went most of today and Vince was "on everybody to be creative", according to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live. We're not sure if these are regular remarks from Vince, but it sounds like the WWE Chairman wanted everyone to really turn up the creativity for Monday's show from Madison Square Garden, which is the Clash of Champions go-home episode.

What's the point of them actually waking from their slumber and actually DOING THAT, if McMahon is just gonna shit on their ideas and rewrite everything at the last minute, as he's known to do?

Guess this wasn't too well though out at this meeting, nor did anyone have the balls to say that to McMahon either.

WALTER On How Much He's Worked With Triple H, Why He Doesn't Want To Move To America

WWE UK Champion WALTER recently spoke with talkSPORT and revealed that he's had very little dealings with Triple H since debuting with the company in January of this year. He reportedly signed in November 2018.
WALTER was asked about his first conversations with Triple H and if he made the big man feel wanted in the company. He did say he's worked more with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.
"Oh yeah, they did [make me feel wanted], I can't deny that," he said. "But, my conversations with Triple H have been very little so far, actually. We had a conversation when I started, but in between not much. That was really it, I'm not really a small talk guy. I don't talk to people unless I have something worth talking about or reasoning behind it. I've worked a little more with Shawn Michaels which is very helpful. Obviously, he's a very experienced guy and he's been very successful in his career. Actually, I think people often think with wrestling, the things that make the difference are major changes, but it's the very smallest of details that make a very big difference. Those people – like William Regal – they all have those little tricks in their back pocket. So it's a very good environment to be in."

WALTER is currently leading the Imperium stable on the WWE NXT UK brand. The group consists of WALTER, Marcel Barthel, Fabian Aichner and Alexander Wolfe. WALTER was asked how the group started and if it was his idea to make it happen, or WWE's. He talked about his history with Barthel, who was in WXW's Imperium-like Ringkampf stable with WALTER, and Wolfe.
"We wanted to do it as a group, for sure," WALTER revealed. "Alexander Wolfe and Marcel Barthel, they started out like me and I've known them for over 10 years now. They started out as part of the process I was talking about earlier and it was like 'we've got to do something in Germany'. We worked on the roster of WXW as a team and then we all went our separate ways and now this was the chance to bring it back and we really wanted to do it because we all think the same way about how this sport should be done. Like how we should represent ourselves and move forward so it was like yep, let's make it happen."
The 32 year old former Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and PROGRESS World Champion is known for his legendary knife-edge chops. He was asked about adding the moves to his arsenal and if he knew he had something big when he first started doing them.
"There's no big story behind it. I just thought, what should I do? I'm a big person with big limbs so I thought I'd use them as efficiently as possible."
WALTER also revealed that some wrestlers have said they don't want to take the chops. "Sometimes [people say they don't want to take them]. But I don't care. It is what it is. It's going to happen," he added.
There had been talk earlier this year of WALTER staying on the NXT UK brand because he was not interested in moving to America because he was happy with his home life in Germany. He was asked by talkSPORT if that means he's in no rush to move to America to join the main roster. WALTER said he would go to the main roster, but he's still not interested in moving to the United States because the American lifestyle is not for him. He previously stated in an interview that he prefers the German-Austrian way of living, and that his base will always be Germany.
"I would go on the main roster at some point but I wouldn't move to America," he said in this new interview. "Moving to America is not for me. American lifestyle is not for me. No, I couldn't imagine that. When it comes to that, I stay where I am. But, I am able to get on an airplane! [laughs]."
