More On Neidhart's Death

This has been a rough day regarding the death of Jim Neidhart. We'll talk more about it on the show. The death came out of nowhere which makes it such a shock. I was told it has been a very sad day at TV in Greensboro because Natalya and T.J. Wilson are both so well liked by almost everyone. I've actually known of Jim since I was very young since he was a superstar in high school track, and when I was in high school years after him, we had a great shot putter who ended up winning state, and the goal that he never came close to was Jim's all-time state high school record. But I remember him as a world class shot putter that Stu Hart was training for pro wrestling nearly 40 years ago.
According to the police report, they were called at 6:41 a.m. today and told that Neidhart fell, hit his head and was bleeding. His wife Ellie said that Jim was having difficulty sleeping, told her he was cold and wanted to adjust the thermostat. She got out of bed and he walked over to the thermostat, then fell toward the wall, evidently having a seizure, and hit the ground and she called 911, believing he had a seizure. She saw blood, saw him gargling and told the operator she thought he was dead. He takes medication for seizures and last had one on 12/21. He had a cut on his face from the fall of 2-4 inches in length. (thanks to Timothy Wronka of Bay News 9)
Natty wrote: "I can't put into words how hard it is going to be for myself and our family to have to say goodbye to my dad. He meant the world to us, and nothing will ever replace the special times we shared together as a family. My dad was always a fighter and an incredibly special person. There was no one like him. I'm just gonna miss him so much. We are going to hold all of the moments we had with him close to our hearts forever and never let them go. I promise to keep your memory alive. We love you so much, Daddy! On behalf of my entire family, we would also like to personally thank everyone for the outpouring of thoughts and prayers. It's meant so much to us."

MLW's 'FILTHY' TOM LAWLOR RELEASED BY UFC

"Filthy" Tom Lawlor's ten-year tenure in UFC ended today when he was released from the company, less than two months before his two-year drug test failure suspension expired.
Lawlor, 35, who wrestles independently, most notably with Major League Wrestling where he's one of their signature stars, was planning on returning to UFC when his suspension ended on October 10. Lawlor also does a regular weekly show, "Filthy Four Daily" with Bryan Alvarez on this site.
Lawlor failed a test for low levels of Ostarine on October 10, 2016, and had no explanation of how it got in his system. He went so far as to test an enhanced coffee that he had been given by someone, but that failed to be the answer.
Lawlor had a 10-6 record with 1 no contest as a fighter, with his most recent fight being a close decision loss to Corey Anderson on March 5, 2016, in Las Vegas. Anderson is currently the No. 6 ranked contender in the light heavyweight division. He had expected to return to the UFC in the fall.
Lawlor had asked for his release when being suspended and UFC declined to release him at the time.
"All things come to an end and it was inevitable that so would my time in UFC," said Lawlor. "Today I was informed that I will be released by the UFC despite my USADA suspension being nearly over and my previous requests for a release being denied. While the timing is unexpected, hopefully this opens the doors for me to continue with my mixed martial arts career as well as in the squared circle (squared circle is an old term for pro wrestling). Combat sports is one of my life’s great loves and I look forward to showing and sharing that with the fans as soon as possible."

JIM 'THE ANVIL' NEIDHART PASSES AWAY (updated)

Former WWE star and Cauliflower Alley Club President Brian Blair announced the passing of former WWF star and founding member of the Hart Foundation Jim Neidhart this morning.  Neidhart, the father of WWE star Natalya, was 63 years old.

Blair wrote, "It is with a sad heart, that I share with you the passing of a long time friend and colleague, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. Your thoughts and prayers for the family are appreciated!"
PWInsider.com has independently confirmed Neidhart's passing.
Over the course of his career, Neidhart, a former WWF Tag Team Champion with Bret Hart, worked for WWF, Stampede Wrestling, WCW, ECW and many, many, many other promotions great and small.  The word making the rounds in recent weeks was that he was dealing with an illness.

According to Ross Hart, his brother-in-law, the death was due to a grand mal seizure related to the Alzheimer's Disease that Neidhart had been suffering from for some time.

WWE Hall of Famer Gene Oklerlund remembered Neidhart on his Facebook Page, writing, "If you couldn't like Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart your the one with the problem. You didn't to always agree with him but if this guy would give the shirt off his back. He was a tremendous athlete. Track and football. High point of his wrestling career was his run with Bret Hart as one half of the Hart Foundation managed by Jimmy Hart. He was 63.

Pro Wrestler Matt Rivera Gets "Owned" on Youtube. (Updated)

I think I'll just leave this here. This says it all. I supplied a fact based on proof I have and Rivera, decided to "no sell" that fact.

I just further put Mr. Rivera in his place as you can see. His attempt at 'No Selling' isn't working out too well for him.

Some One From House Of Bricks Pro Wrestling Gets Owned on FB

A guy representing House Of Bricks Pro Wrestling in New Bedford, Mass. Decided he was gonna tangle with me over a post I did here and in many other groups on FB. He obviously couldn't grasp the concept of my reply since he had to keep asking the same question and after he got his ass handed to him. He ran to his own FB page and did what everyone always does when they get owned by me, post stuff to try and make himself look good and feel good about himself even though, he was clearly punked. I'm sure HOB Pro Wrestling is really 'proud' to have this guy working for them, LOL.

This Really, Is The BEST WWE Could Scrape Up For This Show? (Rolls eyes) BBOORRING!

  • A new episode of Table for Three with Matt Hardy, Xavier Woods, and Zack Ryder will air on the WWE Network after Raw on Monday. The theme of the show is that they gathered "to discuss the power of using digital and social media platforms.”

This is pretty sad, and pathetic. There isn't ONE MATCH here that is good enough to garner my interest. Pretty damn sad indeed.

Here are the updated lineups for Impact’s TV tapings at the Rebel Entertainment Complex in Toronto on Sunday and Monday:
Sunday --
Pentagon Jr. vs. Sami Callihan in a Mexican Death Match
Knockouts Champion Su Yung defending against Tessa Blanchard and Allie in a triple threat match
X Division Champion Brian Cage defending against Fenix
LAX vs. Tarik & Banks
Joe Hendry vs. Tyson Dux
Monday --
Pentagon Jr. & Fenix vs. Trevor Lee & Caleb Konley
Rich Swann vs. Petey Williams
Brian Cage vs. Kongo Kong
Matt Sydal vs. Josh Alexander

Twenty cameras' just happened to be NOT working the night of Brian Christopher's death? hhmm. isn't THAT alittle 'too convenient', eh?

Smells like bullshit somewhere. Or.. Maybe Jail guards looked the other way as Brian got his ass kicked in Jail?

Jerry Lawler and his lawyer spoke to WMC Action News 5 in Memphis for a story on Brian Christopher Lawler’s death. Lawler continued to express doubt that Brian committed suicide. Photos of Brian before he died were shown, with him having marks on both sides of his neck but not on the front. Jerry’s lawyer said that’s not consistent with Brian hanging himself with his shoestrings. Jerry also brought up a fight that Brian got into in jail the day that he died and that 20 cameras inside the jail weren’t working that night.

UUUHH OOHHH.. WWE 'LOOKING INTO' ALLEGED PAST INAPPROPRIATE ACTIONS BY RANDY ORTON

WWE is looking into claims that Randy Orton inappropriately touched himself in years past when meeting new writers.
The allegations surfaced this week after a Reddit user revived a story told by Court Bauer during a 2012 edition of the MLW podcast (subscription needed). What follows is the transcription from that user:
"For every new writer that would show up, he come in the room, put his hand down his pants, pull out his d*ck, touch himself, then say "I'm Randy Orton, shake my hand. Oh, you dont want to shake my hand? You're big leaguing me? That's f**ked up man. Should I tell Vince and Steph you wont shake Randy Orton's hand?"
The story went on that during those incidents, writers would continue to feel uncomfortable as Orton cut a promo on them while remaining exposed.
WWE released a brief statement to F4WOnline.com that they are "looking into the matter."
Bauer said he avoided the situation as Stephanie McMahon walked into the room at the time Orton was reaching into his pants. Bauer said the story was true when asked on Twitter Friday, adding in a separate tweet that has "no qualms" with Orton.
The 38-year-old has been with the company since he was signed to a developmental deal in 2000.

Well I Was Right, Keller, Scherer, PWInsider, Wrestlinginc ALL PUNKED OUT!

Well It's nice to see that I'm right, once again. When I first posted this statement on Brian Christopher's death I said that Dave Scherer, Meltzer, Keller, PWInsider and Wrestlinginc wouldn't have the balls to either acknowledge the fact I wrote this, OR.. Even speak on this side of the story. They were sent this and, they all, punked out like bitches, just like I said they would.

So since they proved me right yet, again? You all can thank me once again for being the ONLY ONE, with the balls to truly tell it like it. They bitched up again whern called out to do it so for now on, you can rely on me to do, what those pussies don't have the balls to do. It's nice knowing I'm the ONLY wrestling writer that has the balls, those bitches don't have. So go ahead and be happy I'll do what they're too scared to do. :)

People, Places, Sell Outs | NWA Ten Pounds of Gold 29 (2018)

History has been made in the last few months at Cody and the Young Bucks sold out the Sears Center for ALL IN. Today Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling sold out Madison Square Garden. A year ago, William Patrick Corgan and the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) were in a vastly different place. The Smashing Pumpkins hadn't reunited yet and the famous Ten Pounds of Gold was not see in the same light it is today. With hardwork and vision, Corgan and team have taken both brands to new stratosphere. The Smashing Pumpkins are currently on a forty-city plus tour across North America and soon Europe. The NWA Worlds Championship is set to be defended by Nick Aldis against The American Nightmare Cody. This episode of NWA Ten Pounds of Gold looks at the journey of the People, Places and Things surrounding the rise of this independent movement with the National Wrestling Alliance, Cody's pursuit of Dusty Rhodes NWA Title, The Young Bucks, Ring of Honor Wrestling and Madison Square Garden.

8/9 IMPACT WRESTLING RESULTS: McMahon’s report on Austin Aries vs. Eddie Edwards for the Impact World Title

Take THAT, Triple H, LOL

As noted, earlier today the joint ROH / NJPW MSG show has already sold out. In a statement ROH COO Joe Koff wrote, "We are humbled and appreciative of our fans and their belief and support of Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. All we can say is Thank You!" Since the sell-out a number of ROH Wrestlers have also commented on Twitter, including Cody Rhodes who tweeted, "I'm The Game now," an obvious jab at Triple H.

RIng Of Honor Issues Press Release About Selling Out Madison Square Garden

Ring of Honor and New Japan issued the following:
ROH/NJPW G1 SUPERCARD SELLS OUT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
Baltimore, MD, August 10, 2018 — About a hundred miles separate Murphy Recreation Center in Philadelphia from Madison Square Garden in New York City, but it might as well have been a million when Ring of Honor held its debut show before a few hundred fans at the rec center in 2002. ROH, then a small, DVD-based pro wrestling company, ever getting a date at “The World’s Most Famous Arena” was unfathomable.
The same could be said for New Japan Pro-Wrestling. While NJPW, which was formed in 1972, has drawn a number of large crowds at the Tokyo Dome over the years, it only recently expanded into the U.S. market and has yet to get a taste of “The Big Apple.”
That all changes on Saturday, April 6, 2019, when ROH and NJPW -- otherwise known as “The Best Wrestling on the Planet” and “The King of Sports,”respectively -- join forces to present G1 Supercard at sold-out Madison Square Garden.
Tickets for the event sold out within minutes after going on sale to the general public this morning.
“We are absolutely thrilled and equally humbled by the fan response to this show. We thank everyone for their support and let’s enjoy this together,” said ROH General Manager Greg Gilleland.
NJPW President Harold Meij added, “[Madison Square Garden] is one of the holy grails of pro wrestling. It’s the place to be. It’s not only a great honor for us, but it shows how far we’ve come after 46 years of being in wrestling.”
The word “historic” gets thrown around liberally in pro wrestling, but G1 Supercard will truly be a groundbreaking event, as the McMahon family of promoters has had a stranglehold on the Garden for nearly 60 years. The last time a wrestling show at MSG wasn’t promoted by a McMahon was on Nov. 14, 1960, when Jack Pfefer booked a card headlined by Bruno Sammartino versus Antonino Rocca, according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer.
The storied history of pro wrestling at Madison Square Garden (the current MSG opened in 1968 and is the fourth building in New York to bear the name) dates back to the late 1800s and includes William Muldoon defeating Thiebaud Bauer in 1880 to become the first American Greco-Roman Heavyweight Champion; Sammartino winning the WWWF Title from “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers in 1963; Hulk Hogan beating The Iron Sheik for the WWF Title in 1984; and the first WrestleMania in 1985.
In April, ROH and NJPW will become part of that illustrious history. WWE Hall of Famer and current ROH star Bully Ray put it into perspective in a recent video on social media that was shot outside the Garden.
“The AWA never ran Madison Square Garden. ECW never ran Madison Square Garden. And WCW never ran Madison Square Garden,” he said. “This show will become a part of wrestling history. In 50 years, people will still be talking about the Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling [G1 Supercard]. … If you’re a wrestling fan, this is the place you want to be. This is the show you want to see. This is the memory that you want for the rest of your life.”
Fans will see all the top stars from both ROH and NJPW at G1 Supercard, and it’s expected that all the major titles from both companies will be defended.
“G1 Supercard is the ultimate super card,” Gilleland said. “You’re going to get the best of the best from both companies.”
ROH and NJPW have had a symbiotic working relationship since 2014 in which the companies exchange talent. Collaborating on an event the magnitude of G1 Supercard was the next logical step in their partnership.
“This is a joint venture that both companies are investing in,” Gilleland said, “and both companies share the same goal of delivering the absolute best possible show to the fans.”
The ROH-NJPW partnership is a natural one, as both companies place an emphasis on outstanding in-ring action. That’s not to say that there isn’t an abundance of charismatic performers and some pomp and circumstance, but what goes on bell to bell has always been paramount. ROH has provided a platform and been a proving ground for some of the most talented wrestlers in the industry, while NJPW has introduced American wrestling fans to the hard-hitting “Japanese strong style.”
Top stars such as CM Punk, Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan), AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Tyler Black (Seth Rollins) and Kevin Steen (Kevin Owens) first made a name for themselves in ROH. It’s a testament to the strength of the ROH brand of wrestling that the company has continued to grow and create new stars after the aforementioned wrestlers moved on.
Case in point: ROH’s Supercard of Honor, an annual extravaganza that began in 2006 and traditionally takes place in the spring during the biggest weekend on the pro wrestling calendar, drew a company-record crowd of more than 6,100 at last year’s show in New Orleans. That shattered the previous record of more than 3,200 fans at the 2016 Supercard of Honor event in Lakeland, Fla.
“Supercard of Honor has grown so much over the past three years, it was almost a no-brainer when the opportunity [to hold the 2019 Supercard show at Madison Square Garden] presented itself,” Gilleland said.
The “G1” part of G1 Supercard comes from the G1 Climax tournament, which NJPW has held every summer since 1991. The G1 Climax has become synonymous with great wrestling, as the tournament has produced a number of matches that are regarded by wrestling fans and pundits as some of the best of all time.
On July 1-2, 2017, NJPW, held its first shows in America. Titled the G1 Special, the two events in Long Beach, Calif., served as a prelude to the G1 Climax. NJPW returned to Long Beach for a show this past March and then presented another G1 Special last month in San Francisco.
“[G1 Supercard] will be another opportunity for New Japan Pro-Wrestling to show the fans in the United States what we’re all about,” Meij said, “especially given that big of an arena and that location. We haven’t been to the East Coast…. I think we have something unique to offer the fans. When they see what we’re all about, I think the fans will fall in love with our type of wrestling as well.”
By combining the G1 and Supercard brands, NJPW and ROH officials believe they are creating a can’t-miss event for wrestling fans around the world. They also view G1 Supercard as a launching point.
“I hope it’s just the beginning of something even greater to come from this,” Meij said.
Added Gilleland: “I think the possibilities are endless."

CBS Story on How Ring Of Honor Triumphed Over WWE To Run Madison Square Garden

You Can't Make This Kind of Bullshit Up, LOL! COLT CABANA FILES LAWSUIT AGAINST CM PUNK OVER LEGAL FEES

Colt Cabana (Scott Colton) has filed a lawsuit against CM Punk (Phil Brooks) over legal fees from Dr. Chris Amann's defamation suit against them.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported today that Cabana is suing Punk for breach of contract and fraud, with Cabana alleging that Punk texted him that he would be "100% covered" in the Amann suit. Cabana is seeking $200,000 in general damages and $1 million in punitive and exemplary damages.
Cabana claims that Punk's assurance that he would be covered is the reason that he didn't comply with the letter he was sent by Amann's counsel demanding that he take down the November 2014 episode of the Art of Wrestling podcast that Punk appeared on and to issue a retraction for Punk's critical comments about the lack of care he received from Amann while in WWE.
Cabana's lawsuit states that he and Punk employed the firm Loeb & Loeb to defend them in March 2015, with their retention agreement saying that it was understood that Punk would be responsible for paying for the invoices.
The following email from Punk to Cabana in April 2016 is then included:
"To date I have spent $513,736 dollars on this Amman lawsuit. My outstanding current bill is at least 300k. Half of all this is yours. Divide the 513,736 by 2 and that is what you owe me and what I expect you to pay me. Starting now I will no longer be paying your bills. You are on your own. Whatever my bill is currently, will be cut in half, and half will be yours. If you choose to make this all ugly, that's fine too. I hope you won't, but I gave up on you doing what is right a long time ago."
Cabana notified Loeb & Loeb that he was prepared to retain separate counsel, but he says they came to an agreement for them to continue representing both Punk and Cabana with Punk covering the fees going forward. Loeb & Loeb then withdrew as Cabana's counsel in March 2017, with Cabana believing that Punk caused them to do so.
The jury ruled in favor of Punk and Cabana in the Amann trial this June. Cabana hired Carey Stein of Ashman & Stein after Loeb & Loeb withdrew from representing him. Following the trial, Cabana's counsel notified Punk's of Cabana's demand for reimbursement of approximately $200,000 in fees and net costs. Loeb & Loeb informed them that Punk refuses to do so.

MARIA KANELLIS SUFFERS BROKEN WRIST WHILE TRAINING FOR RETURN

Maria Kanellis has suffered a bit of a setback while training for her return to television.
Kanellis posted on Instagram today that she suffered a broken wrist while training in the ring. She wrote that she'll have to be in a cast for six weeks but teased being involved with WWE's Evolution pay-per-view: "I broke my wrist training in the ring to come back... 6 weeks in a cast. Do the math... still have time before #Evolution"
Evolution will take place at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York on October 28.
Kanellis headed to the WWE Performance Center at the beginning of this month to start training for a comeback. She announced last September that her and Mike Bennett (Mike Kanellis) were expecting their first child, and they welcomed the birth of their daughter on April 4.
Kanellis returned to WWE and Bennett debuted at Money in the Bank 2017. Bennett moved to Raw in this year's roster shakeup and has mostly been wrestling on house shows and Main Event.

LMAO! Get A Load Of This Shit, Longtime WWE Correspondent Approached By WWE Employee At MYC To Stop Posting Spoilers

It looks like WWE was trying to keep a lid on spoilers being leaked at The Mae Young Classic tapings last night.
Two different correspondents at Full Sail University noted that there was talk of WWE speaking to at least two fans in the crowd who were texting spoilers from the show. One of our longtime correspondents noted that it seemed like they were throttling data on Twitter towards the end of the tapings.
JJ Williams, who for several years has provided WWE NXT updates for The Wrestling Observer, revealed on Twitter that he was told to not post finishes anymore by someone who works for the company. Williams, who has been a major supporter of WWE developmental and has put a lot of eyes on the product over the years, wrote last night, "I've been told to not post finishes anymore by someone who works for the company."
Williams continued today, "I was approached and specifically told that they would have to ask me to leave for posting finishes. I asked is that the new rule for everyone? I was told no, it was just the rule for me because I 'work for a dirt sheet' I was also told that if it was any other fan they wouldn't care. Simply because the Wrestling Observer endorses me as their reliable person on site I have now been singled out and am less than a fan to WWE. At this point I have no idea what I can and can not post. Any photos from tonight would be a spoiler as to who advanced, these tickets were $50 per night and yes I always pay for my own tickets to events so why would I risk being removed over petty drama? The worst part is all I've ever wanted to do was promote the talent with photos and gifs in addition to showing up. There's nothing I can do, I'm not even shocked, mostly disappointed, and even if I'm less than 'just a fan' I'll still be at Full Sail tonight having a great time

NJPW TAKING 'DISCIPLINARY ACTION' AGAINST TAMA TONGA

New Japan has taken disciplinary action against Tama Tonga following what they are calling 'inappropriate conduct'.
NJPW’s official English site released a statement this morning saying “NJPW takes actions taken by our wrestlers seriously. In light of recent inappropriate conduct by Tama Tonga including SNS usage, the company has decided to take disciplinary actions against said wrestlers, and will issue updated guidelines to all wrestlers.”
Tama Tonga has been making waves on social media, specifically Twitter, since splitting from the Bullet Club and forming his own faction with the Guerillas of Destiny and Bad Luck Fale, including trading barbs with the likes of Roman Reigns. He was recently suspended from the service for a short period of time. Reasons for the suspension were not made clear, but tweets insulting fans using profane language have since been deleted. There was also an incident on a recent G1 card where he grabbed a fan by the throat after a match.
His most recent tweet was a video posted on August 5 where he was shown littering in a public area.

Virgil Asks Interviewer for More Money & Gets Fed up with Everyone (funny as hell)

Virgil (aka Vincent in WCW) was not comfortable with how the hosts of this shoot interview were conducting things. Remember this is a very old shoot and it was not a big deal at all really, he went to finish the interview with no problems after this point. Still, it's funny to watch Virgil ask for more money and get mad at the shoot interviews hosts. And rightfully so, you could tell things could have been more prepared. But in any event, much respect to Virgil this isn't mean to trash him or anything. The audio clip has been on YT for years so we're only releasing it (in full context) for historical purposes. And no, this was not conducted by Title Match - we only licensed the footage.

MATT RIDDLE INJURED IN EVOLVE HARDCORE MATCH

Former EVOLVE Champion Matt Riddle, who is expected to debut with WWE at the Takeover: Brooklyn event, suffered an injury during his hardcore match against Shane Strickland over the weekend in Philadelphia, PA.

According to an Instagram post made by Riddle's mother (which included a nasty photo of the injury), the former UFC fighter had the skin ripped off the tip of his finger due a deep cut suffered during a spot with a chair in the match.

Riddle's mother noted, "Matt wrestled an intense hardcore match that involved tables, ladders and chairs. The first chair clip took the tip of his pointer finger off

Blood within the first few minutes got the kids attention for sure. He explained to them today that he was going to wrestle hard, and it was going to be intense to watch. They smiled and said they couldn’t wait to see. It did rock them a little. Watching Dad get carried off like he did was not easy. Thankfully Fred got the wink he did at them on video! When he showed them how Dad gave them a wink as he was getting taken out they felt better.”
Riddle, who dropped the EVOLVE title in that bout, wrestled the next day against Austin Theory in Melrose, MA but has been pulled from some independent bookings since the injury.

Things about the "All In" Show in September.

Based on the announced lineup of the "All In" event thus far, it would appear Kenny Omega vs. Pentagon Jr. is the next headline bout to be announced.  At one point in the planning of the event, Omega vs. Rey Mysterio was on the drawing board.

The WGN America broadcast of "All In: Zero Hour" will feature The Briscoes vs. Scorpio Sky & Kazarian and the competitor Man "Over Budget Battle Royal" featuring Colt Cabana, Moose, Rocky Romero, Jordynne Grace, Ethan Page and more to be announced.

Pro Wrestling Tees will be the presenting sponsor of the WGN broadcast and will be presenting the Flip Gordon All In Pre-Show party:

Former WWE Star Dave Bautista Slams Disney

n the wake of Disney firing Guardians of the Galaxy writer and director James Gunn after old Tweets featuring beyond tasteless material (which Gunn had previously apologized for years before) were unearthed, former WWE star Dave Bautista has been at the forefront of rallying behind Gunn.
When asked by a fan on Twitter whether he would be returning to the franchise, Bautista lobbed some pretty heavy bombs at Disney:
Bautista and the entire cast of Guardians of the Galaxy have already publicly released a letter of support for Gunn, pushing for his reinstatement.
Bautista has portrayed Drax in Gunn's two Guardians films as well as in the Avengers: Infinity War film.  He has already completed work on the Infinity Wars sequel, due out next year.  Guardians' third film is currently slated for 2020.  Gunn had been writing the film when he was fired.  Whether any of his work for the film is used remains to be seen.

Inicent At Revolution Pro Show In London Today

There was a lot of talk regarding an incident at the Revolution Pro show at the Cockpit in London today. Kurtis Chapman wrestled Chris Ridgeway. Sam Adonis came out and made a number of homophobic slurs, the f word, the h word and also used slurs directed at mentally disabled. The crowd was upset, with a large section turning their back on him and chanting "Don't bring him back." It hurt the crowd until the main event. Promoter Andy Quildan seemed upset and offered an apology before the main event started saying that everyone was welcome at RevPro.

Here's Meltzer's dumb logic about World Of Sports current ratings for their second show.

According to Meltzer (which is where I got this from) There's this.

Week two ratings for World of Sport do not look good. The preliminary number for yesterday's show was 609,000 viewers, down 34 percent from last week. The reality is they didn't have anything that compelled people to return, and since the show reached an older age group, they were likely watching due to nostalgia, which never holds up long-term. The final number will probably rise slightly, but this could not have been a worse sign.

So he's saying (and we're going according to HIS LOGIC, mind you) That if he had an indy group going with some sort of tv outlet for said group, HE wouldn't be happy that over 600,000 people watched it? I can name half a dozen indy promoters right now that would LOVE, to have that number of viewers watching their product.

Further proof that alot of times, Meltzer is, quite the moron.

MATT RIDDLE LOSES EVOLVE TITLE AT EVOLVE 108

With his time as an independent wrestler soon ( or apparently) coming to an end, Matt Riddle lost the EVOLVE Championship at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Shane Strickland defeated Riddle in a hardcore rules match at EVOLVE 108 to win the title. The story of the match was that Riddle refused to give up despite Strickland working over his left arm and repeatedly hiting double stomps, including one that was off a ladder and through a table while Riddle was hung on the ladder. Strickland eventually won with his JML Driver finisher.
This was the third time Riddle and Strickland have faced off in EVOLVE this year, with their previous matches ending in a no contest and a disqualification.
WWN confirmed last month that Riddle would be on all of EVOLVE's August shows and that he would be adding more dates if he was still champion after that. The company has EVOLVE 109 in Melrose, Massachusetts today, EVOLVE 110 in Cicero, Illinois on August 11, and EVOLVE 111 in Livonia, Michigan on August 12.
After receiving interest from both WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling, Riddle is expected to be headed to NXT.

BEIN SPORTS (Which airs MLW) ISSUES STATEMENT AFTER FCC DISMISSES COMPLAINT AGAINST COMCAST

BeIN Sports, the home of MLW: FUSION, issued the following statement after the FCC dismissed a carriage complaint the cable network filed over Comcast dropping the network:
beIN SPORTS RELEASES STATEMENT REGARDING FCC DISMISSAL
MIAMI, FL – August 3, 2018 – beIN SPORTS releases statement regarding FCC’s dismissal of the network’s Carriage Complaint filed in March 2018 again
st Comcast, following a discriminatory and patently unfair renewal proposal from the service provider.
“We note the FCC has dismissed the case without prejudice, and provided a valuable roadmap going forward.  The agency specifically explained it needs a more definitive indication of what programming would be featured on our networks.  We are encouraged by the fact that the FCC provided no support for Comcast’s primary arguments and feel confident in our ability to supply information consistent with the FCC’s guidance” said Antonio Briceño, beIN SPORTS’ Deputy Managing Director for the U.S. and Canada.

The previously filed complaint alleged Comcast ignored its obligations as a vertically integrated network in favor of their own soccer content and other sports-related programming, to the detriment of the network and viewers, violating program carriage rules and the non-discrimination condition attached with the FCC’s approval of its purchase of NBCUniversal.
beIN SPORTS’ priority is, and has always been, to provide the most compelling programming, coverage and analysis to viewers, as work continues to bring more opportunities for fair access to the network’s hours of exclusive sports coverage including LaLiga soccer matches and exclusive coverage of the ongoing WTA Tour.
