Yeah Ok There "Vince Russo".. Chris Jericho: 'Great Matches Don't Matter. Personalities And Character - That's All That Matters'

Chris Jericho has been around the professional business long enough to know a couple things about keeping a career alive. He's been able to reinvent his in-ring persona many times and continues as one of the best sports entertainers alive today.
At 47-years-old, Jericho is IWGP Intercontinental Champion and experiencing a fresh breath of life to his career with his continued involvement with Fozzy as well, but he always has time to give advice when he feels it's warranted.
"I've wrestled a few times now," Jericho recently said on Talk Is Jericho. "I'm gonna go on record here -- uh-oh Jericho spews the truth -- guess what guys? Great matches don't matter -- here's the secret to wrestling -- personalities and character. That's all that matters."
Will Ospreay is an amazing professional wrestler and at 25-year-old, he has a lot of his career ahead of him. The Aerial Assassin is known for his impressive tactics in the ring and high spots that wow the crowds, but one recent move caused Y2J to call Ospreay about it.
When Ospreay nailed Marty Scurll with a Spanish fly on the apron at Sakura Genisis on April 1st, Ospreay was busted wide open when his head hit the apron. Jericho didn't like seeing that one bit and phoned the Englishman to give him some words of wisdom.
"I told him," Y2J said of Ospreay after he smashed his head on the ring apron. "People were predicting he's gonna be the next Dynamite Kid. I called him on the phone and said, 'dude you do not want to be the next Dynamite Kid. I want you to be around when you're 47 just like me kicking ass. Stop doing stupid moves that don't mean anything."
Jericho said Ospreay agreed with him and since then his matches have been "much cleaner."

Acouple Of House Of Hardcore Dates For You.

House of Hardcore 50 will take place on Monday 9/3 as part of the Blue Ridge Rock Festival in Virginia as a special attraction for the Festival.  Admission to the show is included with the Festival ticket.  Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman, Billy Gunn, The Hurricane, Carlito, Sami Callihan, CW Anderson, Trevor Lee and the debuting New Jack will be appearing at the event.   The show is being dubbed the "24th Anniversary of Hardcore."

House of Hardcore will be also have a table and presenting exhibition matches over the course of the weekend at the Keystone Comic Con in Philadelphia, PA next month.  The convention takes place over 9/14 - 9/16 at the Philadelphia Convention Center, which was the venue for the Wrestlemania Rage Party broadcast the night before Wrestlemania XV.

An Interesting Table For Three Was Filmed (nnnaa, it's not that interesting, Though WWE Thinks So, lol)

(Yawns) You mean with all the talent they have, legends contracts, etc. that THIS is the best they can do?

WWE filmed new episodes of Table for 3 over the weekend, including one featuring Mrs. Rebecca Hardy, Mrs. Kimberly Orton and Mrs. Giovanna Angle, based on the theme of the wives of WWE stars.

The Crusher, The Bruiser & Raschke vs The Koloffs & Crusher Kruschev (Superclash 85)

I wsas at this show and saw this match. Still ranks as the best wrestling show i ever went to, bar none.
September 28, 1985. Chicago, Illinois. Six man tag team action as the team of Crusher Lisowski, Dick The Bruiser, and Baron Von Raschke take on the team of Ivan Koloff, Nikita Koloff, and Crusher Kruschev (Barry Darsow. Demolition Smash)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KuicrkxgiE

Dick the Bruiser vs Paul Christy (Either March 3, or July 14, 1979). Now this, is what I grew up watching in Chicago (along with the AWA).

I always thought Christy was a very under rated heel.

George Cannon's Superstars of Wrestling received a major shot in the arm, marquee-wise, when Dick the Bruiser graced the promotion in the spring of 1981. Despite being in the twilight of his career, Dick the Bruiser could still guarantee a strong house and action, as evidence by his work for the St. Louis territory in the same timeframe. To hype the Bruiser's arrival, Cannon aired this bout from Dick's WWA territory between the Bruiser and familiar foe Paul Christy (accompanied here by valet/future wife Miss Bunny Love). This match most likely occurred sometime in 1979 in Indianapolis, IN (Any help on the exact date and/or venue would be appreciated) and was reaired on Superstars sometime in April 1981. The action is joined in progress with the team of George "Crybaby" Cannon, Milt Avruskin, and heel manager Dr. Jerry Graham Jr (then managing the Mad Iranian, better known as The Iron Sheik) providing commentary from the studio.

Rey Fenix Punked Out On Indy Dates He accepted.

There was a lot of talk regarding Penta 0M and Rey Fenix this weekend. They were scheduled for Friday night's APW show in Daly City, CA. This was after Fenix took that booking instead of a high-profile match at Arena Mexico that same night. Fenix contacted the promotion during the day and said he was having flight problems and his flight was canceled but he was looking to get a new flight. Eventually he didn't make it. Penta 0M said he suffered a back injury on Thursday night. Penta was also supposed to wrestle Saturday night for Pro Wrestling Revolution. He wasn't there either, citing the back injury. Both did wrestle on a show last night in Mexico. APW was able to get Ultimo Dragon at the last minute for one replacement.

"Back Injury" huh, yyeeaahh sssuuurreeee, sure there was, fucking liar.

Funny Thing Happened At CMLL's Show On Friday.

This I thought was funny as hell.

CMLL will be announcing its Anniversary show on Wednesday. The long pushed L.A. Park vs. Rush mask vs. hair match looks to be off. It's been rumored off for weeks even though both were pushing it the last time Park was at Arena Mexico, and he's booked there again on Friday. Rush & Cavernario vs. Volador Jr. & Matt Taven in some form of hair match was teased in challenges on Friday. They did a brawl on Friday with Volador and Rush, with Volador wanting a match. Rush asked the crowd if they wanted him to face Volador or L.A. Park, figuring the brawl would make them say Volador and that would be the way out of it. Except, the live crowd wanted Park.

LMAO! So muc h for hoping the crowd would go with you, LOL!

This will be tons better to watch over raw, any day of the week. :) Destination- GCW

Wrestling At The Nashville Fairgrounds May Soon Be Gone.

There is some talk in Tennessee regarding adding to the ballot a measure where they would vote on building a new stadium for a Major League Soccer team. The stadium site would be the site of the Fairgrounds in Nashville, which, if it goes on the ballot and passes, would mean the end of the legendary wrestling arena.

Former WWE Star Justin Credible Currently In Jail

Connecticut state court records show that former WWE and ECW star Justin Credible (Peter Polaco) is currently incarcerated at the New Haven Correctional Center in New Haven, CT.
The 44 year old was arrested on Tuesday, August 14 for Felony Criminal Violation of a Protective Order and Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct. His current status is listed as "unsentenced," but he does have a bond of $7,500. The case status for the August 14 incident is listed as "Awaiting Plea" and the next activity, likely a hearing, is scheduled for Tuesday, September 4 at 10am in Waterbury, CT.
Court records show Credible also has a court date scheduled for Friday, March 29, 2019 for 2017 cases he picked up. It looks like those cases were referred to the "Family Violence" court program and they currently have a status of "Awaiting Disposition/ Referred to Family Relations Officer" listed. Credible was arrested on Friday, March 3, 2017 for Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct and Misdemeanor Threatening 2nd Degree. He was then arrested on Friday, December 1, 2017 for Felony Criminal Violation of a Protective Order, Misdemeanor Breach of Peace 2nd Degree and Misdemeanor Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree. Those two 2017 cases were ran together for the March 29, 2019 court date.

You can see that Big Show, has alot of faith in WWE's 'creative', NOT! LOL

Big Show told ESPN.com that he hopes to be cleared to return by WWE doctors on Sunday. He said he could be back as soon as Monday if WWE has something for him, but he noted that being healthy doesn’t mean that creative will have anything for him yet.

First CZW Snitches Out Matt Riddle Going To WWE, And NNOOWW, This On Mysterio.

It's been reported on how Rey Mysterio is expected to start back up with WWE before the end of this year. Indie promotion Northeast Wrestling may have spoiled the return when pulling Mysterio from their Wrestling Under The Stars event on August 24 in Pittsfield, MA. Their announcement, seen below, mentions Rey being pulled from the show due to "his upcoming contractual situation" with WWE.

Not That Anyone Was Really Buying These Shitty DVDs, BUT.. IMPACT WRESTLING PULLS GFW DVDS

mpact Wrestling's website has pulled the four Global Force Wrestling branded DVDS for sale today, one day after News came out that Jeff Jarrett and his company, Global Force Entertainment sued Impact's parent company Anthem Sports & Entertainment on 8/10.

The four DVDs were made up of GFW Amped content, originally filmed for a potential 16 episode TV series that was repurposed into Impact One Night Only PPVs that aired in 2017.

Jarrett's lawsuit alleges copyright infringement, among other allegations.

Pro Wrestler Matt Riviera Can't Stop Getting Put In Check On Youtube

UUHH OOOHH, Former WWE Star Accuses Randy Orton Of More Bad Behavior, Mainstream Media On Orton, Status Update

Another "Get a load of this bullshit". Last time I checked 'Wrestlers' dealt with the media as well. So Stephanie's 'logic' adds up to? Bullshit. :)

To bad she doesn't think before she speaks, lol.

Knox County mayor-elect Glenn "Kane" Jacobs was interviewed by former WWE and Impactcompetitor Tyrus on the FOX News Rundown podcast. Kane discussed his political position, and also discussed how all the hats he wore as a WWE talent helped him be successful in winning.
Kane also stated that he wanted to break the stereotype of pro wrestlers being viewed by the public as simply "jocks." He was reminded of something that Stephanie McMahon told him about breaking the stereotype.
"I remember Stephanie McMahon once saying there's a reason why we're not called wrestlers. We're called superstars, because there's so much more that we do," said Jacobs. "Even within our WWE careers, all the things that we're asked to do. Our promotion, dealing with the media, all of that stuff is more than just a guy or gal in the ring for 10 minutes a night and put on a show."

Get a load of this bullshit. "Jeff Jarrett AND GFW"? ahem ahem.. Jeff Jarrett IS, GFW, DUH! Dumbasses

Guess this is the only way Jarrett can get his farce of a fake ass company relevant again, lol. Not like he's drawing any crowds with any shows, eh?

Impact Wrestling founder Jeff Jarrett and his company, Global Force Entertainment LLC filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Impact Wrestling owner Anthem Sports & Entertainment Corp. and its subsidiary Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions, LLC (which contains Impact Wrestling) on 8/10 in the United States District Court of Tennessee.
The 26-page lawsuit alleges that Anthem has:

*Violated state and federal trademark infringements in relation to GFE.

*Violated Jeff Jarrett’s exclusive property rights to his own name, photograph, and other likeness.
*That Anthem has used “a reproduction, counterfeit, copy, or colorable imitation of the GLOBAL FORCE WRESTLING and GFW trademarks” in commerce, therefore they are in violation of the Lanham Act, which prohibits trademark infringement, trademark dilution, and false advertising.

*The lawsuit also claims violation of the Lanham Act through alleged “acts of unfair competition” that were done “with the intent to deceive the public into believing that goods and services offered or sold by Defendants are made by, approved by, sponsored by, or affiliated with GFE.”

*That Anthem has "caused products and/or services to enter interstate commerce designated with variations" of the Global Force Wrestling and GFW trademarks.  The filing claimed, "Defendants’ use of said designation and other representations constitute a false designation of origin which is likely to cause confusion, to cause mistake, and to deceive as to the affiliation, connection, or association of Defendants with GFE and as to the origin, sponsorship, or approval of such goods and services by GFE."  This allegation would be an alleged violation of the Lanham Act.
*That Anthem was involved in “Unfair Competition in Violation of Tennessee Common Law”, alleging, “GFE and Defendants compete for a common pool of customers. As alleged herein, Defendants have engaged in unfair, deceptive, or fraudulent conduct, which is likely to cause, if it has not already, customer confusion in violation of Tennessee common law.”
The lawsuit also claims that Anthem has unjustly enriched themselves through their actions and violated the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act, claiming, “Defendants have violated and, upon information and belief, continue to violate GFE’s exclusive rights in the GFW Amped content and the 16 associated copyrights, including, but not limited to, the right to reproduce, right to prepare and sell derivative works, and right to vend by copying, publishing, distributing, and publicly displaying in the marketplace in this District, and in all  marketplaces reached by the Internet, videos that were copied or otherwise derived from the GFW Amped content.”
The filing claims that Anthem approached Jarrett and GFE in October 2016 to initial discussions about merging Jarrett’s company with Anthem Sports “in exchange for membership and equity in Anthem Sports” that would also have included hiring Jarrett as Chief Creative Officer.  The two sides signed a non-disclosure agreement on 12/9/16.
Jarrett signed a consultant deal with Anthem in January 2017 and at that point “Mr. Jarrett provided the only set of masters for the 16 one-hour episodes of GFW Amped content to Defendants”, who the lawsuit claims still have the only copy of the masters.

Jarrett and Anthem signed a deal in May 2017 regarding Jarrett coming on officially as the Chief Creative Officer of Anthem Wrestling as well as an agreement regarding a merger for Anthem to acquire GFE, including ownership of the GFW Amped content.  That merger was publicly announced by Anthem at that time.
As has been well documented, Jarrett took a leave of absence from the company in September 2017, followed by the public announcement that Anthem had let him go the following month.  All of that was in the wake of personal problems that led to Jarrett going into rehab with the assistance of WWE.  Jarrett was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year.

In the lawsuit, Jarrett alleges that after he was terminated by Anthem, the announced merger between GFE and Anthem never went through and that “despite Anthem Wrestling’s acknowledgement of GFE’s ownership of all GFW Amped content, Defendants reproduced, distributed, publicly displayed, offered for sale, and sold the GFW Amped content without providing any compensation or royalties to GFE or Mr. Jarrett.”

The lawsuit points out that Anthem promoted several PPVs under the GFW Amped name (utilizing content that was originally designed to be a GFW weekly TV series that had been taped in Las Vegas), airing them from July 2017 through December 2017.

The lawsuit also alleges., “Upon information and belief, Defendants continue to monetize the GFW Amped content as pay-per-view, premium television, streaming, and other viewing options on a worldwide scale,” specifically mentioning the Global Wrestling App and DVDs sold via the Impact Wrestling website.
As of this writing, Impact's website is still currently selling the GFW DVDs.

The lawsuit claims that Anthem does not have a license to use the GFW Amped content, GFE's trademarks or Jeff Jarrett's name or image "in connection to GFW Amped content."
The lawsuit also claims that Jeff Jarrett and GFE have each suffered "irreparable harm and loss of goodwill", which cannot be "completely remedied" in part because "given the nature of the advertising and promoting the loss of identifiable consumers is not readily obtainable."

GFE and Jarrett are seeking an injunction that would prevent Anthem from copying, distributing, offering for sale, selling, and displaying the GFW Amped content.   The injunction, if it is issued, would also prevent Anthem from using the Global Force Wrestling and GFW words and logo and anything similar, including “but not limited to, Global Wrestling Network, GWN, and the GWN logo” – which means that if Jarrett and GFE are successful, Anthem would have to immediately suspend the operations of their streaming subscription service under its current Global Wrestling Network name.
The lawsuit also asks the court to order Anthem and anyone associated with them to delete or destroy any copies of the GFW content, with the exception of the masters, which are to be returned to GFE.
GFE is seeking “an award of punitive and/or treble damages for at least three times the amount of Defendants’ profits or GFE’s damages, whichever is greater, due to the nature of Defendants’ wanton and willful conduct.”

Jarrett and GFE have requested a jury trial.

More On Neidhart's Death

This has been a rough day regarding the death of Jim Neidhart. We'll talk more about it on the show. The death came out of nowhere which makes it such a shock. I was told it has been a very sad day at TV in Greensboro because Natalya and T.J. Wilson are both so well liked by almost everyone. I've actually known of Jim since I was very young since he was a superstar in high school track, and when I was in high school years after him, we had a great shot putter who ended up winning state, and the goal that he never came close to was Jim's all-time state high school record. But I remember him as a world class shot putter that Stu Hart was training for pro wrestling nearly 40 years ago.
According to the police report, they were called at 6:41 a.m. today and told that Neidhart fell, hit his head and was bleeding. His wife Ellie said that Jim was having difficulty sleeping, told her he was cold and wanted to adjust the thermostat. She got out of bed and he walked over to the thermostat, then fell toward the wall, evidently having a seizure, and hit the ground and she called 911, believing he had a seizure. She saw blood, saw him gargling and told the operator she thought he was dead. He takes medication for seizures and last had one on 12/21. He had a cut on his face from the fall of 2-4 inches in length. (thanks to Timothy Wronka of Bay News 9)
Natty wrote: "I can't put into words how hard it is going to be for myself and our family to have to say goodbye to my dad. He meant the world to us, and nothing will ever replace the special times we shared together as a family. My dad was always a fighter and an incredibly special person. There was no one like him. I'm just gonna miss him so much. We are going to hold all of the moments we had with him close to our hearts forever and never let them go. I promise to keep your memory alive. We love you so much, Daddy! On behalf of my entire family, we would also like to personally thank everyone for the outpouring of thoughts and prayers. It's meant so much to us."

MLW's 'FILTHY' TOM LAWLOR RELEASED BY UFC

"Filthy" Tom Lawlor's ten-year tenure in UFC ended today when he was released from the company, less than two months before his two-year drug test failure suspension expired.
Lawlor, 35, who wrestles independently, most notably with Major League Wrestling where he's one of their signature stars, was planning on returning to UFC when his suspension ended on October 10. Lawlor also does a regular weekly show, "Filthy Four Daily" with Bryan Alvarez on this site.
Lawlor failed a test for low levels of Ostarine on October 10, 2016, and had no explanation of how it got in his system. He went so far as to test an enhanced coffee that he had been given by someone, but that failed to be the answer.
Lawlor had a 10-6 record with 1 no contest as a fighter, with his most recent fight being a close decision loss to Corey Anderson on March 5, 2016, in Las Vegas. Anderson is currently the No. 6 ranked contender in the light heavyweight division. He had expected to return to the UFC in the fall.
Lawlor had asked for his release when being suspended and UFC declined to release him at the time.
"All things come to an end and it was inevitable that so would my time in UFC," said Lawlor. "Today I was informed that I will be released by the UFC despite my USADA suspension being nearly over and my previous requests for a release being denied. While the timing is unexpected, hopefully this opens the doors for me to continue with my mixed martial arts career as well as in the squared circle (squared circle is an old term for pro wrestling). Combat sports is one of my life’s great loves and I look forward to showing and sharing that with the fans as soon as possible."

JIM 'THE ANVIL' NEIDHART PASSES AWAY (updated)

Former WWE star and Cauliflower Alley Club President Brian Blair announced the passing of former WWF star and founding member of the Hart Foundation Jim Neidhart this morning.  Neidhart, the father of WWE star Natalya, was 63 years old.

Blair wrote, "It is with a sad heart, that I share with you the passing of a long time friend and colleague, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. Your thoughts and prayers for the family are appreciated!"
PWInsider.com has independently confirmed Neidhart's passing.
Over the course of his career, Neidhart, a former WWF Tag Team Champion with Bret Hart, worked for WWF, Stampede Wrestling, WCW, ECW and many, many, many other promotions great and small.  The word making the rounds in recent weeks was that he was dealing with an illness.

According to Ross Hart, his brother-in-law, the death was due to a grand mal seizure related to the Alzheimer's Disease that Neidhart had been suffering from for some time.

WWE Hall of Famer Gene Oklerlund remembered Neidhart on his Facebook Page, writing, "If you couldn't like Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart your the one with the problem. You didn't to always agree with him but if this guy would give the shirt off his back. He was a tremendous athlete. Track and football. High point of his wrestling career was his run with Bret Hart as one half of the Hart Foundation managed by Jimmy Hart. He was 63.

Pro Wrestler Matt Rivera Gets "Owned" on Youtube. (Updated)

I think I'll just leave this here. This says it all. I supplied a fact based on proof I have and Rivera, decided to "no sell" that fact.

I just further put Mr. Rivera in his place as you can see. His attempt at 'No Selling' isn't working out too well for him.

Some One From House Of Bricks Pro Wrestling Gets Owned on FB

A guy representing House Of Bricks Pro Wrestling in New Bedford, Mass. Decided he was gonna tangle with me over a post I did here and in many other groups on FB. He obviously couldn't grasp the concept of my reply since he had to keep asking the same question and after he got his ass handed to him. He ran to his own FB page and did what everyone always does when they get owned by me, post stuff to try and make himself look good and feel good about himself even though, he was clearly punked. I'm sure HOB Pro Wrestling is really 'proud' to have this guy working for them, LOL.

This Really, Is The BEST WWE Could Scrape Up For This Show? (Rolls eyes) BBOORRING!

  • A new episode of Table for Three with Matt Hardy, Xavier Woods, and Zack Ryder will air on the WWE Network after Raw on Monday. The theme of the show is that they gathered "to discuss the power of using digital and social media platforms.”

This is pretty sad, and pathetic. There isn't ONE MATCH here that is good enough to garner my interest. Pretty damn sad indeed.

Here are the updated lineups for Impact’s TV tapings at the Rebel Entertainment Complex in Toronto on Sunday and Monday:
Sunday --
Pentagon Jr. vs. Sami Callihan in a Mexican Death Match
Knockouts Champion Su Yung defending against Tessa Blanchard and Allie in a triple threat match
X Division Champion Brian Cage defending against Fenix
LAX vs. Tarik & Banks
Joe Hendry vs. Tyson Dux
Monday --
Pentagon Jr. & Fenix vs. Trevor Lee & Caleb Konley
Rich Swann vs. Petey Williams
Brian Cage vs. Kongo Kong
Matt Sydal vs. Josh Alexander

Twenty cameras' just happened to be NOT working the night of Brian Christopher's death? hhmm. isn't THAT alittle 'too convenient', eh?

Smells like bullshit somewhere. Or.. Maybe Jail guards looked the other way as Brian got his ass kicked in Jail?

Jerry Lawler and his lawyer spoke to WMC Action News 5 in Memphis for a story on Brian Christopher Lawler’s death. Lawler continued to express doubt that Brian committed suicide. Photos of Brian before he died were shown, with him having marks on both sides of his neck but not on the front. Jerry’s lawyer said that’s not consistent with Brian hanging himself with his shoestrings. Jerry also brought up a fight that Brian got into in jail the day that he died and that 20 cameras inside the jail weren’t working that night.

UUUHH OOHHH.. WWE 'LOOKING INTO' ALLEGED PAST INAPPROPRIATE ACTIONS BY RANDY ORTON

WWE is looking into claims that Randy Orton inappropriately touched himself in years past when meeting new writers.
The allegations surfaced this week after a Reddit user revived a story told by Court Bauer during a 2012 edition of the MLW podcast (subscription needed). What follows is the transcription from that user:
"For every new writer that would show up, he come in the room, put his hand down his pants, pull out his d*ck, touch himself, then say "I'm Randy Orton, shake my hand. Oh, you dont want to shake my hand? You're big leaguing me? That's f**ked up man. Should I tell Vince and Steph you wont shake Randy Orton's hand?"
The story went on that during those incidents, writers would continue to feel uncomfortable as Orton cut a promo on them while remaining exposed.
WWE released a brief statement to F4WOnline.com that they are "looking into the matter."
Bauer said he avoided the situation as Stephanie McMahon walked into the room at the time Orton was reaching into his pants. Bauer said the story was true when asked on Twitter Friday, adding in a separate tweet that has "no qualms" with Orton.
The 38-year-old has been with the company since he was signed to a developmental deal in 2000.
