Conspiracy or No? | Nick Aldis vs. James Storm | NWA Pop Up Event

As we get closer to NWA Into The Fire, available on PPV - https://www.nationalwrestlingalliance..., the personal issues between NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis and James Storm run deep. They last faced in the main event for Ten Pounds Of Gold at the NWA's Pop Up Event in January of 2019. During a recent episode of #NWAPowerrr, James Storm brought up that thee National Wrestling Alliance did not highlight or show this match after it happened in either #TenPoundsOfGold or in any form minus the commercial release. One of the conditions that James Storm demanded was that this match be shown in advance of #IntoTheFire so fans can make up their own mind on their conspiracy.

Big Cass Deletes Tweet,Then Shows He Really IS A Fucking Dumb Ass

Former WWE Superstar Big Cass (CaZXL) took to Twitter today and made a threat to AEW star Joey Janela.
Cass wrote, "Hey @janelababy. Say one more word about me and your life will end. Real talk.#HowYouDoin".
The tweet was deleted just over an hour after it was posted.

Funny how this business has produced more dumb fucks, ass clowns and total fucking idiots lately, than ever before.

Jordynne Grace Responds To Sandman's Latest Comments On Women's Wrestling (Sandman Gets Punked Here)

Sandman should at this point keep his mouth shut, he keeps making himself look like a fucking idiot.
Former ECW champion The Sandman ran into trouble recently when he criticized women's wrestling and said women shouldn't be main eventing. Jordynne Grace was the one who revealed Sandman's comments while Sandman himself denies ever speaking to Grace.
Sandman also said he only talked to Taya Valkyrie at a recent show and it was about helping her with her match, not criticizing women's wrestling. Grace responded to Sandman when she joined Busted Open Radio.
"He did not just say it to Taya, and that was not the only thing he said. I did not go into the whole conversation on social media because it's a 10-minute back and forth thing that went on. It was me, Taya and Tessa all standing around talking, The Sandman came up to Taya and asked what match she was in and she said that she was in the last match," recalled Grace.
"He responded, 'The main event?' She said, yeah, the main event. He said, 'Excuse me?' We all just stared at him because we didn't know that he was joking or not, and he responded with, 'You know that is wrong, right?' He looked at every one of us. Then he started talking about the women's WrestleMania match and how bad it was and then Tessa, she is a little bit more outspoken, I was in shock, and she tried to start talking. He cut her off, stuck out his hand and said, 'Oh, I'm The Sandman by the way.'
"She responded with, 'Oh, and I'm Tessa Blanchard.' He responded with how he respects her family so much while continuing to sh*t on women's wrestling, they both go back and forth. Rosemary walks up and we tell her what The Sandman just said and we're all standing there listening to him argue about women's wrestling with Tessa. He throws up his hands, walks away and about two minutes later comes back and says, 'Excuse me, ladies, I went around the locker room and told a bunch of people with over 200 years of wrestling experience and all agree with me that women main eventing is wrong.' Tessa Blanchard and he went back and forth a little bit more. She told him how disrespectful he was and he clearly didn't care. He comes on [Busted Open Radio] and is lying through his teeth to save face now."
Sandman refutes that Grace was part of the conversation he had but Grace contends that he was aware that she was standing there.
"We weren't just around; we were standing right in front of him in a line," Grace said before being asked if she perhaps embellished any part of the story.
"I have zero reasons to lie about this and go on social media and basically sh*t on ECW legends, someone I used to watch on TV. So, for him to say that I was in complete shock."
Grace was then asked why she went to social media with Sandman's comments instead of just telling him off then and there.
"I said [to Sandman] just watch the main event, so I feel like that was a more respectful way to say that. He didn't watch the main event so that was why I decided to post what I did on social media," stated Grace.

ACH Quits Pro Wrestling (Acting Like A Bitch All The Way)

ACH announced he was canceling his upcoming showing and quitting pro wrestling.
"I hate pro wrestling," ACH wrote on Twitter this morning. "I hate you s---ty fans that think you know it all! More importantly I hate the snakes in this industry. None of y'all would never say anything about me to me. All of y'all can go screw yourselves. I'm canceling my shows AND I'm quitting pro wrestling. Chasing my dream was great, but you self entitled pricks ruin EVERYTHING. I'm out."
This comes on the heels of ACH working at MLW Opera Cup, where Wrestling Inc. learned he almost walked out and didn't perform at the event. In a statement to PWInsider, MLW commented, "We respect ACH's decision and want him to be happy." MLW had planned on putting ACH on future shows.
Earlier this month, ACH cut a promo at AAW Unstoppable about indie wrestling taking on "the machine."
"A lot of people don't understand what 'For the Culture' means, there's gonna take that word, culture, and their gonna spin it to what they want, and that's okay," ACH said to the live crowd at Unstoppable. "That's the power of it. But what people have to understand this is the culture. These upper echelon, these billionaires believe they know what you want, but they don't know what you want because they don't come to places like this.
"They don't see the passionate fan. In fact, you go there and you get tired of what they feed you. Because this is what you want! AAW is what you wanted! Indie professional wrestling is what you want! ... So, you can take your contracts, you can shred them because I won't sign another one. I believe in the people because the people believe in me. So let it be known, it is us versus the machine, indie wrestling versus the machine".
One half of Cryme Tyme and former WWE Superstar, Shad Gaspard, had a lot to say in response to ACH, telling the former NXT Star to "grow up and understand the world doesn't revolve around you."
"On that note shut the f--- up," Gaspard responded. "If all you can do is bad mouth & talk down people and the business after people have gone out of there way to understand & help you then f--- off. Talent gets you so far in life, but it's obvious your character is one of an attention seeking ass who wants sympathy while burning others. Grow up and understand the world doesn't revolve around you. This business as well as life doesn't cater to one individual, so either suck it up and do something or shut the f--- up, cause this bipolar crying s--- is getting old."

General Adnan Talks Controversial 1990s WWE Storyline With Sgt. Slaughter

Former WWE, NWA, and AWA star Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie (aka General Adnan while in WWE) joined VOC Nation's Wrestling with History with Ken Resnick, Bruce Wirt, and Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Brady Hicks. Adnan commented on his feelings about America during his WWE run in the early 90s, his angle with Sgt. Slaughter turning on America, the US flag burning controversy, and how deeply invested fans became with that story.
Born in Baghdad, Iraq, Adnan said he originally went to Vince McMahon and told him his feeling about the war between the US and Iraq, thinking it would make for an interesting WWE story.
"If you study history, Kuwait was inside the map of Iraq," Adnan said. "The British took it and they started using it as a resting place when they travel. Later on, [the British] returned it to the people who lived there and all the sudden they had a war. America came in and attacked Saddam Hussein and it was a huge thing. I went to Vince [McMahon] and [told him my feelings on what was happening, and said that I should team up with] Sgt. Slaughter. We could both team up and make some money."
Adnan noted the things he said about America on WWE TV at the time were actually how he felt.
"That was legit, there was no bulls--- about it," Adnan stated. "I am from Baghdad, Iraq. They bombed my country and they killed my family. They killed relatives from my family. Now [they are trying to] take Kuwait from Baghdad and they killed soldiers too. I mean I was really pissed."
Sgt. Slaughter has previously noted Vince had asked him to burn the American flag on TV, but it was something Slaughter refused to do, instead burning Hulk Hogan's shirt. Adnan said the flag was burned at some shows (likely house shows) and at one point he was approached by the FBI and CIA, asking him to "cool it down."
"We were burning the flag [at various shows]," Adnan recalled. "I was wrestling one time, five people came to the ring and wanted to talk to me. [They were] from the FBI and CIA. He said, 'The White House if very upset, but we cannot touch you. This is a free country. Do what you want, but I'm asking you to stop doing what you're doing. Take the flag, put it away, and cool it down.' We decided not to take the flag in the middle of the ring anymore."
Adnan also noted how serious wrestling fans took the story, going as far as to burn Sgt. Slaughter's house.
"They burned his house," Adnan stated. "The people hated him so much. They warned his wife and his kids [ahead of time]. When they left, they burned his house….with Sarge and I, they believed everything we did."

WALTER'S WWE UNITED KINGDOM TITLE BELT REPORTEDLY STOLEN

The WWE United Kingdom championship has reportedly been stolen.
According to acouple reports, WWE United Kingdom champion WALTER’s championship belt, along with his passport, was stolen earlier today in Chicago following a smash and grab of a rental car.
The rental car reportedly belonged to Timothy Thatcher, who also had property stolen in the burglary.
Independent wrestlers from the area told various people that there has been a series of incidents similar to this recently in the Logan Square area, where both Timothy Thatcher and WALTER are competing tonight for EVOLVE.
There was an incident earlier this year where the AEW World title had disappeared from a limo Chris Jericho had rented just days after winning the championship at All Out. It was eventually recovered less than a week later by Tallahassee police.
Thatcher will face Arturo Ruas tonight at EVOLVE 142 while WALTER will face Josh Briggs in the main event in a non-title match.

MLW REMOVES ACH FROM WEBSITE, MORE ON TEDDY HART RELEASE

MLW has removed all mentions of ACH from their website, including announcing he was working their 1/11/20 event.  The materials were removed as the promotion did not want to false advertise.

In regard to the Teddy Hart release that was announced on Friday, News sites have been told by multiple sources that the Hart exit was not just a result of one reason or incident, but a culmination of issues over time over the last several months.  While MLW announced Hart’s release on Friday 12/5, Hart had actually requested his release several times in recent weeks, starting late November, but that MLW had denied the release multiple times until finally changing their mind this week and announcing it this past Friday.

While MLW declined to comment ,, instead pointing to their official statement that Hart was released, people were told that issues began in September when Hart didn’t appear for scheduled pre-tapes in Dallas.  What was planned for a Best of Three Falls bout against the Dynasty at MLW War Chamber didn’t go according to plan with Hart getting most of the shine in the first fall.  We are told that Tom Prichard, who had been in charge of producing the bout, was extremely upset, to the point that one source claimed Prichard nearly quit MLW right after he started with the company.  That weekend appears to be where the chasm between the two sides began.

Hart then no-showed the combined show with THE CRASH in Mexico, which caused headaches as he was a big part of advertising for the event in Mexico (including banners outside the arena).  On that show, hewas slated for a six man tag, so CRASH now had an extra talent booked they couldn’t use, which MLW sources felt reflected badly on the company.

MLW is now working with AAA and their relationship with the CRASH has dissolved.    Some MLW sources also pointed to Hart being in the crowd at NXT and other events, saying it disrespected the company, since he was a titleholder for MLW at the time.  On that one, I think those upset about it are splitting hairs, since lots of talents from other companies visit promotions, although Hart does dress in a way that makes himself easily noticed no matter where he is.  That said, I might feel differently if I had someone under contract and he was showing up at other promotion's events
.
Update: An MLW source noted, "We felt Teddy was being not only disrespectful to us but to AEW and NXT and their locker rooms. If he had just been in the back, it’s a non-issue.  He was taking away from the talent in the ring with the antics too."

In November in Orlando, there were said to be other headaches.  Hart didn’t show up for pre-tapes and again, we are told that what was planned for his match with Myron Reed went out the window with some feeling it made Reed looked poor, this time nearly causing MLW TV to go off the air before a planned angle with CONTRA Unit showing up to do their angle.  MLW was taping live to tape with the show being aired later that night on BeIN Sports, so there would have been zero time to post-produce, which added to the issues.  The CONTRA fireball angle, burning Hart, was originally slated to kick off a long CONTRA vs. Hart Foundation program with Hart returning in January in Dallas as a surprise.  That is obviously all out the window, but had the angle not aired, MLW would have had to course-correct before moving forward.

Hart’s side, based on comments made on the YouTube channel that he shares with real-life girlfriend ROH talent Maria Manic, is that he felt disrespected that MLW hadn’t backed him in the wake of allegations that Hart’s ex-girlfriend from several years ago, Samantha Fiddler had disappeared in the Fall of 2016 and that police in Canada were actively pursuing a missing persons case in her disappearance.

Hart publicly responded to implications he could have been involved in the case via Twitter, noting that their relationship had ended before Fiddler moved to Florida and by then, he himself was living in Texas:

Based on Hart's comments, it would appear that he felt it was best to exit the company for not showing loyalty to him.  Hart had been a regular with MLW since its resurrection.

Mike Kanellis On If He Asked For WWE Release Due To Angle With Wife Maria

Current WWE Superstar Mike Kanellis hit the headlines recently when he requested his release from WWE publicly on social media in October. During an appearance on Swings & Mrs, Kanellis addressed his release request as well as speaking openly about what led up to it.
Kanellis was asked if his most recent stint on WWE RAW, where he was put in an angle where his character was emasculated by wife Maria, was a problem for him and whether that led to his request for release. Kanellis stated that the storyline had no bearing whatsoever on his decision.
"The angle itself didn't bother me," Kanellis said. "Because I tell people this and it makes people yell at me, but it's a fake television show. It's not real. My name isn't really Mike Kanellis and yes, I really am married to Maria Kanellis, but at the end of the day I am playing a role on a TV show. It's the same thing as if Mike Bennett played serial killer number one on Law & Order. It doesn't reflect who I am as a person so I don't mind trying something different or thinking outside the box. My only issue was it didn't go anywhere.
"If I'm going to do a storyline like that, I want it to go somewhere, I think the fans would like that too. There should be a payoff. Because there wasn't a payoff, it's like what was the point? I don't mind thinking outside the box. I don't mind embarrassing myself, I mean, I wrestle in underwear for a living. I really don't care. If they say I have to be emasculated by my wife, I'm like fine, I don't care. I get offended when it doesn't go anywhere."
Kanellis signed a five-year extension with WWE this past June, however, he requested his release from four months later on October 14th. The former Mike Bennett indicated that it was more of a personal challenge for himself rather than displeasure with the company.
"I felt stuck," Bennett admitted. "I felt stuck in the sense that Im at a point now where I feel clear headed and clear minded and this has to do with being two and a half years sober. I don't want to live with regret and I don't want to be that person who spent four or five years of my life addicted to drugs when I could have going out and having killer matches.
"My work did suffer. I want to know what I can do now that I'm not beholding to the prescription drugs, I want to see what clean headed Mike Bennett can do with 100% focus. I've never thought that people consider me one of the best wrestlers in the world I want to give an attempt to prove top them that I can be that wrestler. I'm not mad at WWE, they've treated me wonderfully and still do, through addiction, Maria's pregnancy, they've taken care of us. I have nothing but love for that company. It's just personal, I just want to go and wrestle."
Since re-signing with WWE, All Elite Wrestling has made huge strides on Wednesday night on TNT, as well as NXT being moved to USA Network directly opposing it. When asked about the current state of the wrestling business, Kanellis is happy to see so many more places where talent can go to make money and addressed a talent which he believes his current company could use more wisely.
"At Impact one of my favorite people to work with was EC3" Kanellis said. "He's awesome. He's top five on the microphone and he's phenomenal. He hasn't been given an opportunity and it's this problem that there's just so much talent in WWE. That's why I'm glad they've made NXT this third brand, so hopefully some of the guys who aren't getting opportunities can get it there.
"But I've watched some of the shows and I'm thinking, 'yeah I wanna be on there,' or 'yeah I want EC3 to take that spot', but then you have to take someone away, and when that happens people will be mad that they're not getting an opportunity.
"So I'm glad there's more places to work for everybody. Wrestling is hot right now, it's booming. Guys who aren't being used can see lots of indies, other major companies to work and social media and just think they can make something of themselves how they want to and we can see what they'll have."
Finally, Kanellis, who is still under contract with WWE, was asked about his future and whether he will step foot again in a WWE ring. Kanellis was optimistic about the chances of this taking place.
"If I was a betting man, which I'm not, I would say there's probably a chance that you'll see Mike Kanellis again," Kanellis explained. "I'm big into personal accountability now I signed the contract, I did what I did, I did what I said, so whatever happens now I am going to live with it.
"If WWE calls me tomorrow and wants to put me on the show, I'll do it. If they call me and say 'see ya later', that's cool. I'm perfectly at peace with whatever I have to do. I signed the contract, then I went to twitter and said what I said, so whatever happens from here, I'll take responsibility."

AEW Copies Something Done In NXT? So Much For Being An "Alternative" To WWE

Funny how I can shoot holes into their claim almost every week if I really wanted to, this one was way too obvious.

During a picture-in-picture commercial Nyla Rose powerbombed referee Rick Knox through a table, and then powerbombed Shanna on top of him.
The cameras cut to Britt Baker in the crowd, who replicated the same thing that she did at NXT TakeOver: WarGames when Adam Cole was dropped from the top of the cage through two tables by Tommaso Ciampa. Baker was acknowledged by commentary as Adam Cole's girlfriend on that show.
On tonight's Dynamite, AEW mocked that with Excalibur saying, "That's Adam Cole's girlfriend!"

So tonight, we’ll hear from both challenger and champion Nick Aldis about their announced 2-out-of-3 Falls Match at ‘Into The Fire’ for the Ten Pounds of Gold. A subject addressed by both are “conspiracy” questions surrounding a Number 1 contenders match that didn’t make air, a contest between Storm, Ken Anderson, and Eli Drake. Additionally, a new wrinkle to the PPV Main event has been added: With challenger Storm and champion Aldis each choosing a referee for their 2-out-of-3 falls match for the historic NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.   As well, this episode of NWA Powerrr will round out the ‘Into The Fire’ card by announcing who will fight Colt Cabana for his NWA National Championship.  Lastly, it’s the final episode of the NWA Powerrr called by analyst and pro wrestling legend Jim Cornette. We thank Jim for his support of the National Wrestling Alliance in Season 1, and his over thirty plus years with the organization. His call of the Rock N Roll Express match is an exemplary display of his many talents, and we wish Jim nothing but the best moving forward. To answer the question of who will be joining the NWA Broadcast team at ‘Into The Fire’, please watch for the conclusion of this broadcast, airing at 6:05pm ET tonight.  New Episodes of NWA Powerrr return on December 17th, just three days after our PPV event.
