'ALL IN' TO AIR LIVE ON PPV, FIRST HOUR TO BE FREE ON....
During today's new episode of The Young Bucks' YouTube series Being the Elite, it was officially announced that the 9/1 "All In" event will air nationally on all PPV outlets as well as on FITE.tvat 7 PM Eastern. FITE lists the broadcast as priced at $39.99.
The first hour of the event, however, will air live nationally on WGN America at 6 PM Eastern, with the broadcast titled "All In - Zero Hour."
And I actually HAVE, WGN America on my cable. :)
Former WWE Star Dave Bautista Slams Disney
When asked by a fan on Twitter whether he would be returning to the franchise, Bautista lobbed some pretty heavy bombs at Disney:

Bautista and the entire cast of Guardians of the Galaxy have already publicly released a letter of support for Gunn, pushing for his reinstatement.
Bautista has portrayed Drax in Gunn's two Guardians films as well as in the Avengers: Infinity War film. He has already completed work on the Infinity Wars sequel, due out next year. Guardians' third film is currently slated for 2020. Gunn had been writing the film when he was fired. Whether any of his work for the film is used remains to be seen.

Inicent At Revolution Pro Show In London Today
There was a lot of talk regarding an incident at the Revolution Pro show at the Cockpit in London today. Kurtis Chapman wrestled Chris Ridgeway. Sam Adonis came out and made a number of homophobic slurs, the f word, the h word and also used slurs directed at mentally disabled. The crowd was upset, with a large section turning their back on him and chanting "Don't bring him back." It hurt the crowd until the main event. Promoter Andy Quildan seemed upset and offered an apology before the main event started saying that everyone was welcome at RevPro.

Week two ratings for World of Sport do not look good. The preliminary number for yesterday's show was 609,000 viewers, down 34 percent from last week. The reality is they didn't have anything that compelled people to return, and since the show reached an older age group, they were likely watching due to nostalgia, which never holds up long-term. The final number will probably rise slightly, but this could not have been a worse sign.
So he's saying (and we're going according to HIS LOGIC, mind you) That if he had an indy group going with some sort of tv outlet for said group, HE wouldn't be happy that over 600,000 people watched it? I can name half a dozen indy promoters right now that would LOVE, to have that number of viewers watching their product.
Further proof that alot of times, Meltzer is, quite the moron.
MATT RIDDLE LOSES EVOLVE TITLE AT EVOLVE 108
With his time as an independent wrestler soon ( or apparently) coming to an end, Matt Riddle lost the EVOLVE Championship at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Shane Strickland defeated Riddle in a hardcore rules match at EVOLVE 108 to win the title. The story of the match was that Riddle refused to give up despite Strickland working over his left arm and repeatedly hiting double stomps, including one that was off a ladder and through a table while Riddle was hung on the ladder. Strickland eventually won with his JML Driver finisher.
This was the third time Riddle and Strickland have faced off in EVOLVE this year, with their previous matches ending in a no contest and a disqualification.
WWN confirmed last month that Riddle would be on all of EVOLVE's August shows and that he would be adding more dates if he was still champion after that. The company has EVOLVE 109 in Melrose, Massachusetts today, EVOLVE 110 in Cicero, Illinois on August 11, and EVOLVE 111 in Livonia, Michigan on August 12.
After receiving interest from both WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling, Riddle is expected to be headed to NXT.

KANE WINS - WWE STAR BECOMES MAYOR OF KNOX COUNTY, TN
WATE Channel 6 in Tennessee is calling today's mayoral election in Knox County, TN for WWE star Glen "Kane" Jacobs.
The former WWF Champion easily defeated his tombstoned opponent, Democrat Linda Haney in race, garnering 43,526 votes (66%) to Haney's 22,295 votes (34%). Knox County has a population of 432,226, making it the third most populated county in Tennessee, according to the 2010 census.
According to his campaign website, Jacobs ran with the following goals as his primary focus:
- Committed to keeping taxes low
- Renewed focus on quality of education
- Continue to attract new jobs to the area
- Improve our roads and infrastructure
- Full and absolute transparency
- Work to create safer communities
- A fresh outlook on limited government
Jacobs, 51, has previously noted that the election win would not necessarily mean the end of his long run with WWE. He has been with WWE since 1995, portraying Dr. Issac Yankem and the second incarnation of Diesel before hitting gold with his introduction as The Undertaker's demonic brother Kane in October 1997.
Kane has been with WWE ever since and is now one of the longest tenured veterans in the company. A number of WWE stars, including The Undertaker and Daniel Bryan made appearances with signings and meet and greets to help raise money and awareness for Jacobs' campaign locally.
Jacobs is a long-time resident of the county and he and his wife own an insurance company locally. Prior to his WWE tenure, Jacobs wrestled for Jim Cornette's Smoky Mountain Wrestling as a heel in TN, competing under the ring name Unabomb (playing off of the Unabomber), teaming with Al Snow to feud with The Rock N' Roll Express.
Kane the character was written off after the Extreme Rules PPV during a loss to WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Bludgeon Brothers, including a backstage attack that "injured" his ankle. In reality, Jacobs had suffered an injury to his Achilles on the final Smackdown taping leading into the PPV. There is no word when he may potentially return, but obviously, he's going to be a little busy in the days ahead.
Jacobs has long identified as a Libertarian and ran on the Republican ticket. The win is already getting a lot of attention due to Jacob's long-time work with WWE.

BIG CASS BOOKS FIRST POST-WWE APPEARANCE, GOING BY 'BIG CAZZ'
Big Cass (real name William Morrissey) has booked his first pro wrestling appearance since being released by WWE.
Big Time Wrestling announced today that Cass, who is now going by "Big Cazz," will be appearing at their show at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium on September 21: "Big Cazz FKA BIG CASS, returns to wrestling with BIG TIME WRESTLING! LIVE in Spartanburg, SC."
WWE announced on June 19 that Cass had been released from the company. That was the Tuesday after Money in the Bank, where Daniel Bryan submitted Cass to end their feud. Their program began when Cass returned to WWE television in April and moved to SmackDown in this year's Superstar Shakeup. He was coming back from suffering a torn ACL in August 2017.
WWE didn't wish Cass well in his future endeavors when announcing his release online, and Dave Meltzer reported that a "series of things" led to Cass being fired. That included blowing off a rehearsal for a promo and then going long on the live version of it, along with an incident where Cass went against what the company wanted and got more offense in than he was supposed to during a beatdown angle on SmackDown with a little person who had pretended to be Bryan.
Bryan also submitted Cass at Backlash in May. That was after the angle with the little person took place, though Cass did lay out Bryan at Backlash following their match.

I was a different person six years ago, and I’m beyond ashamed at what I considered ‘humor’ . This week on his Triple Threat Podcast, Shane Douglas relived a topic that was voted on by the listeners: The Gary Wolfe Saga. "The Franchise" and the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling of Wrestling breakdown the entire history of Shane vs. Gary Wolfe from the neck-breaking accident, the controversial promos with Francine all the way through to the despicable act of Shane throwing Wolfe down while wearing a surgically implanted halo. In this excerpt from the podcast we find out how Shane felt in the moment of the halo toss and the instant reaction the ECW fans gave him as he ultimately tried to make it out of the arena alive. The Gary Wolfe Halo Incident:
"To this day and I will say it until my dying breath that had Gary taken a flat back "wrestling" bump on that when I threw him down, I think it would have killed it. It would still garner some heat in that moment but in the long run in watching that played back I think most fans would say that something looks familiar here because it is a flat back bump. What most fans didn't realize is that Gary was supposed to have the halo taken off the week before and we had this upcoming ECW Arena show and Paul called him and said if you can keep it on for an extra week it would be fantastic and you'd have to ask Gary because I don't know if Paul ever explained to him what he wanted that night. We had talked about the number of throws and I am very clearly in my head counting out the 1,2,3,4,5 to when I would release him but from that moment I grabbed the halo and if you watch my face you see me going from in character to throwing him down and trying to digest and decipher what the crowd's response is."
"I knew Gary was fine first and most importantly. I knew Gary was fine because we had timed it out so perfectly and up to that point everything is planned out beforehand. It wasn't until the fans started jumping the rail that I know I hadn't conceived of because I'm just wrestling in front of a group of wrestling fans that get this and I don't think Gary could have conceived it but I know Paul Heyman couldn't have conceived of it. He'll say I knew this and I knew that but I know he didn't plan on that because you can't plan on that reaction. In a wrestling audience that is what we call 'white-heat.'
"It wasn't until that moment in my career the 'yikes' moment that I realized holy sh*t this is the real thing and this ain't good. I don't care how tough you are and how strong you are or how proficient you are at your craft, you are in a room of 1100+ people shoehorned into that building and every single one of them wants to get their hands on you and tear you to pieces. You've also by the way have a 100lb. beauty queen laying ringside facedown that has no idea any of this is going on and it is a pretty damn scary moment. Today sitting here talking about it, I can talk about it with pride knowing that it worked the way we had hoped it had but in that moment I don't think if you said I'll give you a million dollars to do it again and in that exact moment that I would do it because honest to God I didn't know if I'd get out of that arena in one piece. It was terrifying. The most terrifying moment of that exit from the building was the two guys in full riot gear in helmets with bullet proof vests and shoulder pads and everything who came around the corner. When I saw Tommy Dreamer looking out from the dressing room holding the curtains back and I saw the look on his face my heart sunk to my toes because I thought that I wouldn't be getting home alive and I'm in trouble here. The look on Tommy Dreamer's face was sheer terror and I wasn't about to turn around and see the barrels of the guns behind my head because that is what I thought. Somebody had a gun or somebody has a chainsaw or something viscous to the back of my head and that is why Tommy is looking like that and as also I am trying to drag Francine next to me like my school books. It was a terrifying moment that I would choose not to relive if I didn't have to."

WWA (Kentucky) Hysteria 70 - Independence Day 2018
One of the biggest shows from the year comes from Central City, KY!

What New Deal Did Cody & Aldis make for NWA Title Match at ALL IN?
Since the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship match was announced for ALL IN back in May, there has been a lot of gamesmanship being played between Nick Aldis and Cody Rhodes.
During recent Ring of Honor events, Cody and Nick Aldis made an agreement that if Cody won the Ring of Honor Worlds Championship, then he would put that title up at ALL IN. When Cody failed to win the ROH Championship at Best in the World, it caused the current NWA Worlds Champion to want to renegotiate.
Now with the Flip Gordon vs. Nick Aldis match in the past, this segment aired on Ring of Honor Wrestling television with Cody calling out Nick Aldis to make a new deal.

In the newest episode of “Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia”, Lilian sits down with WWE Hall of Famer, Sting:
Growing up with his dysfunctional family: “My mom tried to get us to go to church on Sundays and my Dad didn’t want to have anything to do with it and we didn’t want to go to church. We wanted to go to the lake, we wanted to go to the beach, we didn’t want to live by a set of rules, so we thought. We kind of rebelled against the whole church thing and it was just a few pocket of times that I can remember being in Sunday school as a kid with my brother and my sister was really small, Mark was probably an infant at the time. We just rebelled against it. We turned into young adults and got through high school and part way through junior colleges and big universities, but no one ever got any degree or anything like that. We all loved each other, we were all very close, but very dysfunctional. It’s like you couldn’t be around each other for very long.”
Meeting Hulk Hogan without knowing about his star power: “When I grew up, where I grew up in Southern California, we did not have pro wrestling on TV. I didn’t know what it was. I ended up in my early young adult years co-owning a Gold’s Gym in San Fernando Valley with a guy named Ed Connors who was the treasurer of Gold’s Gym in Venice Beach. I managed the gym and I ended up being partners with him and this big big dude with blonde hair would come in and work out and the gym would freak out and say, “Oh my gosh, don’t you know who that is? It’s the guy from the Rocky movie! That’s Hulk Hogan!” I go, “Okay, I know the Rocky movie and I know that guy, but I don’t know who Hulk Hogan is!”
Confessing his infidelity to his wife and finding God in the process: “I confessed everything to my ex-wife. I was honest and truthful. It was horrendous, it was one of the worst moments of my life watching her life blood just come out of her almost, it was just horrendous. God at that point, I said, “Okay, I have given God lip service,” I literally said this prayer, “I’ve given you lip service, oh Lord.” And I had, nothing was real to me. It was like, wave your magic wand and fix everything. He doesn’t care about working with people like that, not from the outside in, but from the inside out. First he wanted my heart, and he never had my heart because it was only lip service until finally August of 1998 when I realized there’s no amount of money, no amount of power, no drug, no woman, no man, no doctor, nothing, nothing is going to fix this horrendous deep dark despair and I have messed lives up everywhere and I cannot fix this on my own. I need some supernatural and I said, “God, I surrender my life to you. Jesus Christ come and live inside my heart.” So that’s what happened to me in August of 1998 when I was at the very peak of my career. Muscle relaxers, pain relievers, alcohol, women, a lifestyle, even language that comes out of my mouth, everything changed radically overnight, and I was watching friends die from this kind of lifestyle over the years.”
What made him not go to WWE at first:
“Number one, WCW would always give me what I asked for. I knew that the commitment that I would have to make with Vince was being gone a lot more, a lot more time on the road, a lot more time away. With WCW at the time, I was able to kind of tailor make my schedule to something that I could tolerate and something that was easier for my family at the time. Financially they always gave me what I wanted, but I was really close to leaving on a few different occasions and I was ready. If WCW didn’t give me what I wanted, then I was willing to take that risk and go to WWE. One of the other reasons why I never did, I always talked about this as well, I at the time-and I still don’t know if it’s accurate or not, but I thought that Vince wanted me as a talent to undermine WCW more than he wanted me as a talent working for him.”
His reaction when he finally came to WWE: “I was shocked at how everyone treated me. I met the entire PR department up there in the big building in Connecticut. I went up there and met everybody and everyone-it wasn’t false, it was real. The enthusiasm, I mean everybody was just pumped to have me there and I felt pretty secure about it. They treated me well and Vince has been nothing but respectful and good to me all these years. By the time I ended up coming up there, he was the same way. When I went up there the first time, he wanted me to come in and say hello to him. He even wanted to produce and direct a lot of my spots that I did.”
If he is done wrestling or not: “Yeah, I’m really done. I mean my neck doesn’t bother me at all. For the first couple of months after the match, I had an ache that would go down to the left side of my neck and down into my left trap. It was like a dull ache that was just there all the time and it was hard to sleep. I don’t have any side effects, any trouble so all I know is the neurosurgeon said, “You are so lucky there wasn’t a catastrophe that happened. I got to be careful and it’s sad too because even at my age I feel like I could still go, I could still have a real good Undertaker match for example. We could tell an incredible story with both the chemics and the mystique of both of them. I’ve had these ideas for 20 years, some of the ideas I have in my head. It would be something that people would talk about for a long time, but I’m satisfied. I’m happy with the way things turned out. I did have my WWE run, it was short, but I had one. I did WrestleMania, I wrestled Seth Rollins, I wrestled for the WWE World Title, so I can’t complain.

NIKOLAI VOLKOFF PASSES AWAY AT 70
Former WWF tag team champion and memorable 1980s wrestling villain Nikolai Volkoff (real name Josip Nikolai Peruzović) passed away Sunday at the age of 70.
Volkoff had spent several days recently in a Maryland hospital where he was being treated for dehydration and other ailments and was recently released.

A former weightlifter in Yugoslavia, Volkoff was trained by Stu Hart and eventually found his way to Vince McMahon Sr.'s World Wide Wrestling Federation as Bepo Mongol and won the tag team titles while managed by Captain Lou Albano. He would leave the organization in 1971 and eventually return under the name Nikolai Volkoff, feuding with Bruno Sammartino over the WWWF title.
His most well-known run to mainstream wrestling fans was in the mid-1980s with the Iron Shiek, managed by Fred Blassie. The duo won the tag team titles once and Volkoff later became a singles wrestler, using his Russian heel gimmick in feuds with Hulk Hogan and others. He would remain in the company until 1995 when he went into "semi retirement". He appeared randomly on throwback editions of WWE Raw through the years.
He leaves behind a wife and two daughters.

Brian Christopher (Brian Christopher Lawler) has passed away at 46 years old.
WWE announced his passing on their website: "WWE is saddened to learn that Brian Christopher Lawler, who is best known in WWE as Too Cool’s Grandmaster Sexay, has passed away. Lawler, who is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Jerry 'The King' Lawler, competed during the height of the Attitude Era. WWE extends its condolences to Lawler’s family, friends and fans."
Christopher had been pronounced brain dead earlier this morning after hanging himself in his jail cell at the Hardeman County Jail in Tennessee. A family friend reported to us that they were waiting for Jerry Lawler to come to the hospital to say goodbye before Christopher's life support was pulled.
Christopher was arrested for DUI on July 7 after failing to immediately stop when police tried to pull him over. He was being held on a $40,000 bond. His father and a family friend had been working on getting him to a rehab center, but Christopher didn't know when he was going to be released from prison.
After starting his career at 16 under a mask in Tennessee, Christopher joined the WWF in 1997. He went on to hold the WWF Tag Team titles once with Scotty 2 Hotty in 2000, with the two of them part of the popular "Too Cool" trio with Rikishi.
Paul "Triple H" Levesque also tweeted about Christopher's death: "Incredibly sad news about the passing of Brian Christopher. A tragic loss of life. Both @StephMcMahon and I are thinking of Jerry Lawler and the entire Lawler family this evening."
