AAA STAR QUITS AND JUMPS TO NEW ALBERTO PATRON'S PROMOTION (Bet Konnan's Happy About that, lol)

Luchador Texano Jr. has quit Lucha Libre AAA World Wide to join Alberto El Patrón’s new wrestling company Robles Patrón Promotions.

The company held a press conference today in the Pepsi Center WTC where Texano Jr. announced the news.Texano Jr. will face El Patrón at Robles Patrón Promotions’ show on August 26 in the Pepsi Center WTC, albeit in a three-way tag team match. El Patrón will team with L.A. Park, Texano Jr. will team with Carlito and the third team is Cinta De Oro (formerly known as Sin Cara in WWE) and Pénta El 0M.

The Pepsi Center WTC is a 7,500-seat theater in Mexico City. It is not the same venue as the Ball Arena, formerly known as the Pepsi Center, in Denver, Colorado.

Robles Patrón Promotions, owned by El Patrón and promoter Fernando Robles, operates as the de facto parent company of El Patrón Promotions, Nación Lucha Libre and Robles Promotions. The company is also scheduled to hold shows on July 31 in Texas and August 20 in Las Vegas.

Other stars such as Andrade El Idolo, DMT Azul, Dulce García (formerly known as Sexy Star in AAA and Lucha Underground) and Rey Fénix were announced as members of the company’s roster.

Nación Lucha Libre announced today that its second season will air on FITE, which presumably Texano Jr. will feature in. It is also set to begin airing on Mexican network Imagen Televisión on August 28.Texano Jr. joined AAA in December 2011 and won the AAA Mega Championship, currently held by Kenny Omega, twice. He was a member of the Los Mercenarios faction alongside La Hiedra, Rey Escorpión and Taurus.

The faction currently holds the AAA World Trios Championships, though the usual Freebird Rule has already applied throughout their reign so Texano Jr. leaving should not force the group to vacate the titles.
