JAPAN ENTERS STATE OF EMERGENCY, EVENTS CANCELED

 


The upcoming state of emergency from April 25 to May 11 in the Tokyo, Osaka, Hyogo and Kyoto prefectures has forced various companies to cancel or postpone shows.

As such, All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Champion Carnival tournament has undergone serious changes. The Champion Carnival shows on April 25 and 29 and May 3 will all be empty arena shows instead of being held in Korakuen Hall.

The Champion Carnival show on April 28 in Yokohama is scheduled to go ahead as planned.

All Japan will hold its sixth Champion Carnival show tomorrow in Shin-Kiba 1st Ring.

The full card is:

• Atsuki Aoyagi and Rising HAYATO vs. Francesco Akira and Koji Iwamoto

• Dan Tamura and Hikaru Sato vs. Izanagi and Zeus

• Black Menso~re, Ryuki Honda, Takao Omori and Yoshitatsu vs. Hokuto Omori, Jake Lee, TAJIRI and Yusuke Kodama

• Champion Carnival: Koji Doi vs. Shinjiro Otani

• Champion Carnival: Shotaro Ashino vs. Shuji Ishikawa

• Champion Carnival: Kento Miyahara vs. Kohei Sato

• Champion Carnival: SUWAMA vs. Yuma Aoyagi

Pro Wrestling NOAH’s two THE OVATION shows on May 2 and 3 in Korakuen Hall have been cancelled due to the upcoming state of emergency.

NOAH will hold a show tomorrow in Yokohama Radiant Hall.

Big Japan Pro Wrestling has announced Isami Kodaka will attempt his fifth defense of the BJW Junior Heavyweight Championship against Great Kojika at its May Young Blood show on May 29 in Yokohama Radiant Hall.

Big Japan has cancelled its show on April 26 in Korakuen Hall.

DDT Pro-Wrestling’s two shows on May 4 and 9 will be empty arena shows instead of being held in Korakuen Hall.

Pro Wrestling FREEDOMS has cancelled its show on May 2 on Korakuen Hall.
