Get A Load Of This Shit As.. Joey Ryan Files Multi-Million Dollar Lawsuit Against #SpeakingOut Accusers
Yeah, good luck with that.. Too many people have come forward and if more than one person says the same thing. That's something that says plenty.
Joey Ryan has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against three woman who have alleged that Ryan sexually assaulted them, according to a filing obtained by HeelByNature.com. These allegations were made during the #SpeakingOut movement prompting Impact Wrestling to release Ryan and for Ryan to delete his and Bar Wrestling's social media accounts. Ryan has since reactivated those accounts as well as his Patreon and has made statements denying the allegations.
Ryan filed the lawsuit in the United States District and Central Court on Sep. 24 claiming the women made false allegations against him, resulting in damages to his reputation and his livelihood. Ryan said he has lost upwards of $20,000 in monthly income from his various revenue sources, including live event bookings, merchandise, Twitch, Cameo and Patreon.
The filing contains details of the losses Ryan has claimed to have lost. The first section concerned the loss of social media followers of at least 11,000 on his Twitter account as well as no longer receiving 1,000 followers per month as Ryan previously had. Listed also is the loss of 8,000 followers on his Instagram as well as no longer receiving 1,000 followers per month as Ryan previously had.
Also included is the loss of venues for Bar Wrestling as well as lost revenues from Bar Wrestling in the amount of $1,500 per month from distribution and streaming services and $2,000 per event with two events per month. There is also a list of alleged lost revenues from merchandising in the amount of $1,000 per month, lost revenues in his Patreon account in the amount of $3,000 per month, lost revenues in his Cameo account in the amount of $500 per month, lost revenues from his Twitch account in the amount of $1,000 per month plus subscription shares and tips from subscribers and lost revenues from Wrestling Performance Bookings of $8,000 to $10,000 per month.
Ryan is reportedly looking for the following resolution to the matter, including payment for economic and non-economic damages. He is also looking for the accusers to retract and delete any defamatory statements made against him.
Ryan is seeking $200,000 in economic damages as to each of the defendants or the amount lost as a result of defendant's conduct multiplied by the months from June 21, 2020 to the date of the award of economic damages. He is also seeking $5,000,000 as to each of the defendants in non-economic damages.
Ryan and his legal term have also filed an injunction on the defendants from making "defamatory statements or any iteration of the defamatory statements as set forth above and herein", "to retract the defamatory statements as set forth above and herein" and "to direct any, and all, websites that defendants posted the defamatory statements as set forth above and herein, to delete the defamatory statements".

RANDY ORTON TATTOO LAWSUIT MOVING FORWARD FOLLOWING JUDGMENT FOR ARTIST
The Hollywood Reporter, among other mainstream media outlets, picked up on the ongoing the civil lawsuit was brought by tattoo artist Catherine Alexander against World Wrestling Entertainment, Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., 2K Games, Inc., 2K Sports, Inc., Visual Concepts Entertainment, Yuke’s Co., Ltd. and Yuke’s LA Inc. after a judge ruled on 9/26 that WWE and Take-Two had indeed copied five tattoos that were Alexander's original work that were tattooed on Orton and that she holds valid trademarks on. the lawsuit, initially filed in April 2018 in the United States District Court of Southern District of Illinois, alleges that all of Alexander's tattoo work on WWE star Randy Orton are her original designs that she owns and that she has never given any of the defendants permission to recreate them in the WWE videogames, therefore they and other defendants have infringed on her copyrights.
In the suit, Anderson stated that she performed the tattoo work on Orton between 2003 and 2008 and that "are easily recognized by his fans and members of the public." She also noted that, in advance of the lawsuit obviously, she "submitted applications to register copyrights on each of the aforementioned works on March 15, 2018." She also alleged that she has previously contacted WWE regarding material featuring Orton's tattoos being sold by the company in 2009 and at that time, they offered her a $450 fee for the rights to the designs. Alexander claimed she turned that offer down and at the time, "told WWE that Plaintiff did not grant any permission to WWE to copy, duplicate or otherwise use or reproduce any of Plaintiff’s designs."
Alexander has alleged that by recreating the tattoos in the WWE videogames, the rights to her designs are being infringed upon. She also alleges in the lawsuit that "Mr. Orton does not have ownership in the copyrights asserted herein and has no authority to and did not grant permission for Defendants to commit the acts complained of in this Complaint." Orton has not been named as a defendant in the lawsuit and has never commented publicly on the situation.
The court did deny Alexander's request for a summary judgment (which would have been a knockout blow for her legally, setting up definite damages) citing that some of the tribal tattoos Orton has inked would not allow for a judgment, sending it on for a jury to decide. It also noted that while there is no question that WWE copied Alexander's works, they have laid out three potential defenses that the jury can decide for itself whether to agree with or not.
With the Judge siding with Alexander, there are several issues that a jury will decide, including whether Orton was automatically granted an impied license to have his tattoos recreated via WWE's licensed products, if they would be considered copyright infringement if Orton did not have that license, whether the tattoos would fall under "fair use" (brief excerpts of copyright material may, under certain circumstances, be quoted verbatim for purposes such as criticism, news reporting, teaching, and research, without the need for permission from or payment to the copyright holder), whether the tattoos are de minmis (too trivial or minor to merit consideration legally) and whether there would be damages due to Alexander. There are a lot of eyes on the case given that scores of videogames that feature professional athletes recreate their tattoos in the games, and this case could set a legal precedent for other tattoo artists to follow.
The case was at one point scheduled to go to trial a year ago, but was pushed back to after the original presiding Judge retired from the bench, requiring a new Judge, Judge Staci M. Yandle, to take over the proceedings. The trial was pushed back again to June 2020 at the request of 2K and several other plaintiffs and is finally inside the court following delays brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

NEW HEAD WRITER FOR WWE'S NXT UK BRAND
WWE's NXT UK brand has a new head writer.
Inside the Ropes reported on Thursday that NXT UK talent were informed that Glen Joseph has left NXT UK due to "personal reasons" and Jim Smallman has been promoted to head writer of NXT UK. Joseph and Smallman are both former co-owners of PROGRESS Wrestling.
Inside the Ropes wrote that Smallman "still has to answer to Matt Bloom and Shawn Michaels, who are running the brand remotely from the US due to COVID-19 related travel restrictions."
Dave Meltzer confirmed Inside the Ropes' report in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
At a zoom meeting on 9/24, the talent was told Glen Joseph, the former co-owner of Progress and head writer of NXT U.K., has left the promotion due to personal reasons and that Jim Smallman, another former co-owner of Progress is now head writer for the brand. Joseph was with Progress through June, when he left his post over allegations by women against him. Smallman left Progress at the end of this past year to work full-time for WWE. NXT U.K., headed by Paul Levesque, is actually run by Shawn Michaels and Matt Bloom, but Smallman will be head writer and in charge of tapings since Levesque, Bloom and Michaels can’t travel to the U.K. and back right now.
ITR Wrestling reported the talent is all together at the U.K gym for a three-week training session prior to the next tapings. Usually the talent is brought in for one week to practice for the tapings. The change is because there was a feeling at the last tapings the ring work wasn’t good. A number of matches ended up being re-shot because they weren’t good on the first shooting. Some blamed this on people not having wrestled for months. It’s also reported that WWE has signed more European talent which will start debuting on upcoming tapings. U.K. talent was also told that they could no longer sell their merchandise, which had been allowed as a way to make money since the U.K. contracts are for a low amount. They also have to follow the WWE main roster restrictions of not working with any third party companies, which were also previously allowed. People aren’t happy because most U.K. contracts range from $24,000 to $36,000 per year, although the top guy (Walter and maybe a couple of others) are believed to be well over triple the higher end because they had to make him an offer of real money to get him. Walter was in the range of most of the high-end NXT guys in the U.S. besides somebody like Balor who gets main roster money but was moved to NXT for the ratings war. Originally this was presented a that the talent would make most of their old money plus they’d get their WWE money and most were barely scraping by on wrestling just working indies, so even that $20,000 boost (which was what the original contracts were for) made a big difference for most.
It was announced in August that NXT UK was returning with new in-ring content. The brand hadn't held any events since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tapings were done at BT Sport studios in London, England and began airing on September 17.
Francine On Why She Didn't Enjoy Her Time In WWE
Whereas WWF had Miss Elizabeth as the First Lady of Wrestling, Francine was known as the First Lady of ECW. She was the Queen of Extreme and is best known for her time with Shane Douglas and the Triple Threat.
But Francine also had a stint in WWE's version of ECW in 2006. She recalled why it wasn't the best experience working there when Francine joined The Ryback Show.
"I never wanted to work there. Everybody thinks that's the mecca and that's their goal in the business; it wasn't my goal. I was very comfortable with working for ECW and I said if we didn't go out of business, I would have probably died working for them. I would have been there for a long time," said Francine.
"We did 2005 [ECW One Night Stand]. They had the One Night Stand reunion thing and they called, 'Do you want to do it?' 'Sure, I'll do it.' It's nostalgia, whatever. I thought it was a one-time deal and I go and I do the thing in New York and then, a year later, they tell me, 'Oh, we're bringing ECW back and I'm just like, 'Really?' Now I'm 34 when I get this call in 2006. I'm 48 now. I'm 34 then and I said to myself, 'Is this something I want to do?' because what they're telling me is probably not going to happen, because I know people who work there. And I know how they get you in and then, they change everything."
"Then, the other side of me says, 'This is probably the last chance I'll get a big run for some money because I'm getting up there in years and the girls don't last as long as the men do.' Being a woman, your time is shorter. I'll give it a try. So, they tell me 'You're going to do exactly what you did for Paul [Heyman] and we're going to put you with somebody. Probably, you'll be a mouthpiece' because I can talk and I said, 'That's great. I love to be a manager. I'll bump. Whatever you need.' And I said, 'Can I sign a one-year deal' and they said, 'No, you need to sign a three-year deal.' [Tommy] Dreamer was the one that was doing the deals and he said they want to know you're committed and you're going to ride it out. 'Okay, I'll do it', but my gut tells me I'm not going to make the three whole years."
Francine's gut was correct as was her worry that WWE would sell her one thing and then have her do something completely different. That involved doing bikini contests which is something she didn't even do in ECW.
"Even before, I said, 'There's no way I'm going to last three years.' I know what people tell me. I'm not homegrown. I don't look like a Barbie Doll. I mean, I have a different look to me, which is fine. Not everybody has to be the classic blonde, blue-eyed. I don't think I'm Vince's cup of tea, but I'll give it a go. Who knows? No. I get in there and it was exactly the opposite," stated Francine.
"And I begged and begged and begged to work and Johnny Ace, I mean, I cried in front of him. I begged, 'Just sit tight. We'll do something.' They had me in a bikini, that I never did in my 20s. Mind you, now I'm in my mid-30s and working with a 19-year-old [Kelly Kelly]. It was very uncomfortable. The audience was very young. There are so many children and they had us coming out in these thong bikinis and it was just not right and very uncomfortable. It wasn't what I signed up for and I'm a team player. I'll do what you want me to do, but if you ask me what can you do and I tell you I'm willing to work, let me work because at that point I had 13 years' experience, more than any girl that was in that locker room. I had the most experience although I went in as the most humble person. I would get the girls cookies from the catering, 'Does anybody need a bottle of water' because I'm the new kid here. I'm trying to make friends."
Francine said she didn't think she was Vince McMahon's cup of tea and McMahon reportedly knew nothing about her previous work in ECW. She recalled learning that during a conversation she had with McMahon backstage.
"I hear, 'Francine, can I speak to you for a second' and I turn around and it's Vince McMahon. He's just standing there and I've shaken his hand a bunch of times, but I've never had a conversation with him because he's untouchable sometimes," said Francine. "And so, I go, 'Sure' and he goes, 'Take a walk with me.' I said, 'Okay.'
"We start walking around the arena and he says to me, 'What makes you so special?' I said, 'I don't know what you're getting at' and he goes, 'Why should I put money into you?' I said, 'I can work' and I said, 'You never watched?' And he goes, 'No, I never watched ECW' and I said, 'You have our tape library.' He goes, 'I don't watch it.' I said 'Okay then' and I learned later Shane McMahon was the ECW mark. So, I'm like, 'Where is Shane!?' I'm taking laps with this man and he's just like, 'You're beautiful, but beautiful girls are a dime a dozen. What can you do for me?' And I said, 'Well if you let me work, I can show you what I'm capable of doing. If you don't want to watch the tapes of my performances' – because part of me wanted to say – 'Why'd you hire me?' But I know he's not the only one in that. There are a bunch of people doing it."
At this time WWE would do Raw on Mondays and then do both SmackDown and ECW on Tuesdays. All talent had to work both days even though Francine – being a part of SmackDown – was never used on Raw on Mondays.
"So, he says, 'You come to RAW and look for me. No matter where I am, you run up to me and you smack me on the back and you say, 'Hey Vince, what do you got for me tonight?' So, I go back and sit down and go, 'I'm going to look like a moron for doing this, but I'm going to do it because I want to show him I'm a team player," said Francine.
"Next week is RAW and I see him and he's standing there with a bunch of suits – guys I didn't even know who they are. He's at the end of the hallway and I ran like a lunatic. I ran down the hall, I smacked him so hard on his back and I said, 'Hey Vince, what do you got for me tonight?' And he grabbed me and embraced me and just hugged me and he said, 'That's my girl!' And he let me go and he walked away. I said, 'Okay, but you didn't tell me what you got for me tonight. Am I working? Am I not working?' And I walked over and my name's on the TV."
Francine would be paired with a fellow ECW Original in Balls Mahoney but the duo would be short-lived thanks to Mahoney's personal problems.
"So, we get this little angle where they paired me with Balls Mahoney. Balls was a dear friend of mine from ECW. It was a weird pairing but it worked," said Francine. "They were the beauty and the beast; they were labeling us. So, fine. Then, Balls takes the drug test and he goes in the cup and they find something and I get a phone call, 'Oh, bring your bathing suit back' and there goes my deal and I wanted to kill Balls. I was just like, 'You could've got me out' and he goes, 'I'm sorry!'
"There were talks about putting me with Test. They were going to make us this monster heel team and I was all on board for that, never happened. I said, 'I don't care who I work with, I just don't want to do this bikini stuff, because number one, it's God awful. It's stupid and I don't want to say I'm above it, but I know I have talent and I know I can work and I know I can help get somebody over if they need it and this is just something I didn't sign up for.'"
WWE wasn't able to find anything else for Francine outside of the occasional bikini contest and she would be released just one month after making her WWE TV debut.

News On AEW Changing Their COVID Testing Procedures, More Talents Tested Positive
AEW changed their COVID testing protocols at Wednesday's tapings. AEW had talents get tested from their home in addition to getting test on-site at Wednesday's taping. Lance Archer apparently tested positive during that second round of testing. Also, the AEW medical staff consulted with the NFL COVID response team to come up with updates to their COVID testing process.
This apparently comes after several positive COVID-19 tests in the company. Jon Alba and Fightful.com reported that multiple AEW wrestlers who were at the September 9th tapings tested positive for COVID-19 in the two weeks since. The report noted that some of the talent that had tested positive had been brought in for the last set of AEW Dark tapings and are not under contract.
Archer announced that he had tested positive prior to Wednesday's Dynamite, causing the scheduled six-man tag team main event to be changed. On the show, the announcers said that Archer was pulled from the match because he had come into contact with someone with COVID, but never stated that Archer tested positive himself.
It was reported earlier this month about the COVID testing procedures implemented by WWE and AEW. AEW talent go to an off-site facility the morning of tapings to have a blood prick test taken. The test allows a talent to know within ten minutes whether they are positive or not. If the talent passes the test, they are given a wrist band and taken to Daily's Place. Talent cannot enter Daily's Place without the wrist band.
WWE QUARANTINES NXT TALENTS, STAFF DUE TO COVID-19 POSITIVES, TRAINING PAUSED AT PERFORMANCE CENTER
WWE is dealing with a new COVID-19 outbreak that has led to training being paused at the WWE Performance Center, there was no training today in Florida. There is no word when training will resume.
The belief among several sources is that the outbreak started after a NXT talent threw a party that fellow trainees attended, leading to an asymptomatic transmission of the virus that then spread among those who work and train in the Performance Center. We are told there have been a number of those who have tested positive this week, both trainees and staff.
A WWE spokesperson stated, “As part of ongoing testing protocols, WWE completed its second round of weekly COVID-19 testing on Tuesday. Individuals that tested positive will quarantine for 14 days, receive medical care, and then will only be cleared when they are symptom-free and test negative. Additionally, extensive contact tracing has taken place and other individuals have been placed in 14-day quarantine, and will then only be cleared after they test negative.”
WWE’s statement lines up with what several NXT talents have told PWInsider.com, that they have been advised to sequester themselves. Earlier this evening on her Facebook page, WWE NXT talent Chelsea Green announced on her Facebook that she had been diagnosed with COVID-19 but is now free and clear of the virus.
Last night’s NXT TV episode was taped yesterday with a number of talents not appearing as originally planned. This coming Wednesday’s episode was also taped yesterday. NXT's next scheduled event would be the 10/4 NXT Takeover live broadcast on the WWE Network, giving the company ten days from today to see if those talents are free and clear to return to performing.
As a safeguard to prevent further spread, PWInsider.com is also told that talents and staff working at the PC or on NXT tapings will not be allowed to work Raw or Smackdown tapings at the Thunderdome in Orlando until further notice.
However, there remains a fear among several we have spoken with that given the potential of asymptomatic COVID-19 transmissions and that NXT trainees were working as masked Retribution members on Monday's Raw taping, that there could have indeed been potential cross-contamination to the main roster. As of this writing, there has been no word that any of the concerns have been warranted, but it is certainly within the realm of possibility until a certain amount of time passes. Obviously, with Clash of Champions and Raw just a few days away, the last thing WWE wants or needs is for an outbreak causing major changes to their plans.
Given that several talents who work for AEW have announced they have tested positive for COVID-19, it is certainly within the realm of reason that talents from the two companies crossing paths in Florida may have led to those issues for All Elite Wrestling.

How Hypocritical AEW Is
Yes, it's true, AEW have proven to hypocrites on a continuous basis. Ever since they started they have continuously said one thing, yet did another. But of course the AEW marks and fans, either don't see it, or don't 'want' to see it. Even though it's so obvious a blind man can see it.
What I'm gonna do is list the many examples that show that indeed, everyone who's running AEW are indeed hypocrites. How they've said one thing, claimed one thing, but yet the opposite is what they've done.
And funny how nobody has the balls to call them on it.. So since nobody has them kind of balls it's gonna be left up to me to step and do what the other wrestling writers won't do. Call out AEW on their hypocritical actions.
Let's start with this.
Kenny Omega on AEW vs WWE. "We're not looking to compete with WWE"
But yet here you are, doing just that, with Chris Jericho bragging about how they're winning the ratings almost every week.
Makes you go "HHHHMMM".
Chris Jericho Says No Real War with AEW and WWE.. But yet he's bragging about ratings every week. Open mouth and insert foot.
Jericho also claimed they're not worried about WWE but again, if that's the case why you always talking about them? If you're not worried then stop talking about them and DO.. What you said WWE should do. Concentrate on your own product.. Funny how the say one thing yet do another keeps coming back to haunt people at AEW, eh?
Cody Rhodes Says "AEW Doesn't Want To Hire Many Established Stars".
But yet that's about all they HAVE BEEN doing.. So once again... HHHMMMMM.
Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson, Dean Malenko, Vicky Guerrero, Brian Cage, Jake Roberts, Taz, GGEEEEEE, they sure look like 'established stars' to me, how about all of you? FTR, The guy now known as Miro, Moxley, "AEW doesn't want to hire many established stars, MY ASS"!
Nice try there, Cody.. You can go ahead and kick yourself in the ass for making that claim cause you sure lied your ass off on it.
Then of course there was Cody as TNT Champion, doing EXACTLY what he bitched about Triple H doing, Always booking himself to win, week after week after week. But I guess when you're an executive vice president, you can book yourself that way over allowing a young guy to be the first champion and get that title over. Another thing the AEW marks and fanboys seem to want to selectively look away from and avoid talking about.
And what happened to Dynamite being more "sports oriented"? First few weeks that was what they did, but suddenly.. Without any explanation, they veered away from that.. Again, HHHMMM..
I guess the people running AEW have the same logic Vince McMahon has about wrestling fans, they think we're stupid and won't notice these things.. WRONG! Funny how they say they don't want to be like WWE but yet they're going right by that playbook, in more ways than none.. But again, the marks and fanboys for some reason choose to ignore these obvious things for some reason.. But will slam the WWE for doing it.. HHMMMM, interesting logic and mentality the marks have nowadays.
But wait.. We're not done yet.. There's more.. Much more.. It keeps coming like a fucking domino effect.
People in AEW claimed over and over that there wouldn't be any writers hired for their shows, and there wouldn't be any written promos either. They were gonna let the wrestlers do their own promos because they didn't want to be like the WWE, that has written promos.. BBUUTT.. If that was the case then why is it that Chris Jericho is writing Miro's promos?
Jericho takes credit for it, here's his quote. Taken from acouple different interviews he recently did.
Chris Jericho also revealed that he helped write Rusev’s debut promo in AEW where the newest AEW star took some serious shots at his former employers:
"When he indirectly mentioned WWE, talking about the glass ceiling and brass ring, that was actually my line".
If you say there isn't going to be anyone writing promos and then you have Jericho saying he helped write Miro's promo.. Doesn't that go against all the claims AEW has been making? Yep, sure does.. Why bother making these claims if you're just gonna say 'fuck it' and not follow thru on them? Pretty fucking stupid on AEW'S part.
And speaking of Miro, OH MY GOD, who's the fucking idiot who thought booking Miro so stupidly was a brilliant idea? For everyone, myself included, who has slammed WWE on the fucking lame ass gimmicks they come up for their wrestlers, what about this example of pathetically lame booking here? The former Rusev goes from being a bad ass (somewhat) in WWE to being a comedy wrestler that isn't getting over in any way, shape or form in AEW? Someone in creative in AEW thinks THIS, is a fucking great idea? (Rolls eyes). Guess what, it isn't, but of course even though you claim to 'listen to the fans', you'll insist on shoving this weak ass gimmick down our throats, won't you.
Then of course there's "Stone Cold" Jon Moxley.. This little guy comes down to the ring, no sells everything everybody throws at him and we're supposed to believe it.. Um, no sorry. Not working. Why don't you just go ahead and trade mark "Moxley 3:16" since that's obviously what you're trying to do.
Curious question. Who are the dumb fucks that taught these guys that no selling is a great thing to do? How about someone answer that.. Then explain how no selling, not just Moxley, but others on the roster in AEW can be justified? 'Selling' being punched, attacked, etc is all part of the art of telling the story, but when you no sell and deliberately no sell, and don't have the balls to explain how you think no selling is the way to go.. it shows the inexperience the people behind the scenes in AEW have when it comes to properly booking and executing an angle, match, show, etc.
You have a guy like Dean Malenko as an agent there.. Along with the stars like Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson.. Why aren't THEY, stepping up and mentioning how selling is supposed to be done? What, nobody has the balls to do that because they might lose their weekly payday? How much you wanna bet that that, is the reason. Go from being 'yes men' in WWE to being 'yes men' in AEW.
Another curious question you KNOW, won't get answered.
Did Ivelisse get talked to about her blatant no selling in her match against Thunder Rosa? Even the most casual fan could she was no selling and being uncooperative. But you no the answer to this question.. The answer is, no.
Thankfully I, unlike most wrestling writers have a background of working in wrestling, watching the late Walter 'Killer' Kowalski's students at shows in New England, Watching and learning particular things I wanted to learn at his school when it was in Malden, Massachusetts.. I even watched the WWF'S training dojo they had in the 90's that was run by Dory Funk jr. and Dr. Tom Prichard. I watched how selling was MORE than emphasized, by Funk, Tom and Bruce Prichard, Kowalski, William Regal when he appeared on the 'dojo shows' in New England, and more. So somewhere along the line people either started to incorrectly train people that no selling is perfectly okay. Or people who were, trained wrong started thinking that they, could they could train people and train others wrong. And since nobody in AEW who has that true experience, has the real guts to say anything. No selling flippy floppy bullshit.. Is now what people get and are taught to think is a 'good' product, when it's really not.
AEW wants to be WCW with an influx of ECW ssoo bad.. But how is that an alternative when you're doing exactly the opposite of what you claimed you were going to do? How are you the alternative to the WWE when you're doing many things that are, STRAIGHT OUT, of the WWE'S playbook?
Funny how all these hypocrisies are here, and nobody either has the guts to call AEW out on them, or in AEW'S case, dare to explain it all.
So since nobody else has the balls to do this and I do? You're welcome.
Too bad the only feedback I'll probably get from this, is the marks and fanboys whining, because when the truth hurts, the whining always starts.

CWE (Canada) Announces Changes For Upcoming Events
CWE announced that due to the U.S./Canada border being closed as well as others not allowed in from foreign countries that their next tour will not have previously advertised Shane Douglas, Vincent, Jimmy Jacobs, Simon Marcellus Prime, The Mercenary, Koda Jacobs, Robin Lekime, Lory, Matt Taven or Silas Young. Shows in Alberta and Manitoba are limited to 100 fans but they are going to run. However at this point with crowds much lower than break even being allowed in Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Ontario, they can not host events in those provinces.
None allow crowds of more than 50 people. It's really notable with the size of crowds allowed in the U.S. and all our problems and how cases are so much lower in Canada yet the restrictions remain more stringent.

Ken Resnick talks about the pro wrestling landscape in 1983, just prior to Hulkamania invading New York.
On the latest edition of Wrestling with History on VOC Nation, Ken Resnick talked about the period in 1983 prior to the WWF recruiting Hulk Hogan and going national. Resnick discussed business mistakes made by Verne Gagne, Hogan giving Gagne an opportunity to match the WWF’s offer, the territory system, and much more. Here are some highlights:
On the health of the AWA’s business in 1983 prior to McMahon’s big push to go national: “Business was great…Business was booming…There was a time, this was probably (19)84 where on a Sunday night the AWA sold out the St Paul Civic Center which was about 18,000 people and then had about another 3,000 to 4,000 next door in the old St Paul Auditorium watching it on a movie style screen…Business was great; they had so many names…This was before Vince had moved into AWA territory; Andre the Giant was there, Otto Wantz from Germany, they had a pretty good relationship with the Giant Baba, guys going back and forth to Japan – Stan Hansen was there. Business was booming. I think that also contributed to the fact that as good as business was, Vern was probably a little slow…if you basically have 80% to 90% of market share and market penetration, you’re not really worried about some outsider that’s trying to come and do business in your town…Business was so good that it allow Vince, as strange as it seems, to come in a little bit under the radar in terms of Vern’s thinking.”
On talent working different territories in 1983: “It was more (that) they would lend their talent to another promotion for maybe one or two rounds of their major cities…(they didn’t really work together) until Pro Wrestling USA came to the forefront in late ‘84 or early ‘85 trying to do something to hopefully stop or slow Vince McMahon’s spread. That’s when they would do joint TVs. The funny thing there, and one of the downfalls of Pro Wrestling USA is that even though they were working together on this television, no promoter wanted their talent to get beat by another territory’s talent on national TV. Pro Wrestling USA was airing on ESPN…Even though they were working together, to this point the owners of the different territories were very territorial.”
MATT RIDDLE FILING CIVIL LAWSUIT AGAINST CANDY CARTWRIGHT IN WAKE OF ALLEGATIONS AGAINST HIM
Daniel Rose, the attorney for WWE Smackdown star Matt Riddle announced today that Riddle has filed a civil lawsuit against independent wrestler Samantha "Candy Cartwright" Tavel. PWInsider.com has not yet been able to acquire the lawsuit.
As previously reported, Tavel alleges that in May 2018 when both were working for EVOLVE, Riddle allegedly attempted to force her to sleep with him, leading to her performing oral sex instead out of fear after he allegedly grabbed her by the throat. She alleges this took place in a van with several others sleeping in the van at the time.
In court documents for the now-dropped restraining order (also filed in July), Riddle stated he was in a relationship with Tavel outside of his marriage and that after he broke it off, Tavel has since targeted and harrased him. He also alleged she timed her accusations for the date of his "WWE" debut (on Smackdown) and alleged that Tavel was removed from a WWE taping at Full Sail University. Tavel denied the removal in the court documents, stating that she was not at the venue on the night in question.
Tavel continued to post proof of her relationship with Riddle on her social media since her initial allegation.
Rose's statement today reads:
Bullshit, there'll be more statements made, anyone want to bet against me on it? I didn't think so.

UNITED WRESTLING NETWORK DEBUT PPV NOTES
Last night's United Wrestling Network PPV debut was marred by streaming issues for the FITE version, which seemed to get better as the show went on. We are told by readers who ordered the show on InDemand and other PPV providers that the PPV version did not have similar issues. UWN President Dave Marquez addressed the issued on Twitter.
The show also ran into timing issues as several of the earlier matches ran long, leading to the Tribe vs. Wolf Zaddies and the UWN TV title bout between Dan Joseph and Levi Shapiro being extremely cut down. It seemed the tag match competitors had zero idea they were going to a time limit draw when the bell rang. The NWA Championship match between Nick Aldis and challenger Mike Bennett was obviously on hyperspeed as well as they rushed to make sure they could get through what was planned in the 8-9 minutes they had. Aldis' main events usually go in the 20-25 minute range, so they were working around what time they were left with.
Aldis commented via Twitter after the PPV went off the air:
Dave Marquez directed the PPV.
Although he was mentioned on the air, NWA President Billy Corgan was not at the PPV.
Joe Galli, Todd Kenley and Alyssa Marino were absolutely excellent on commentary last night.
There were zero injuries coming out of the show.
The backstage interviews were all pre-tapes from earlier in the afternoon.
Several hours before the PPV, there was a power outage in Long Beach, CA, where Thunder Studios is located, which obviously would have been a disaster had that happened when the show was on the air, but thankfully that didn't happen.
Announced for the United Wrestling Network's Primetime Live Episode 2 for Tuesday 9/22:
*NWA Women's Champion Thunder Rosa vs. Priscilla Kelly.
*Eli Drake vs. Watts.
*The Friendship Farm, CWH Heritage Champion Ray Rosas and Karl Fredericks to appear.
XWA. Matt Hardy vs. JT Dunn
This match was from XWA Wrestlution 15 in Providence, Rhode Island on November 1, 2015.
Samoa Joe vs Christopher Daniel (ROH)
For the first time, the Pure Championship was defended in the main event of an ROH show, and Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels did not let up in a Pure Classic!

TEDDY HART LEGAL UPDATES
As PWInsider.com has covered, Annis was arrested after being pulled over by authorities in Richmond on 2/12. Annis had been charged with possession of a schedule III narcotic and possession with intent to sell or distribute. During the court hearing on 9/10, it was ruled that there was probable cause in regard to the charges of possession of a schedule III narcotic and possession with intent to sell or distribute. Those charges will move on to a grand jury and should they decide to bring official charges against Annis after evaluating the evidence against him, Hart would stand trial for those charges.
According to Virginia law, Possession of a Schedule III controlled substance is a Class 1 misdemeanor and can be punished with up to 12 months in jail and a fine up to $2,500. Possession of a Schedule III controlled substance by a prisoner (Va. Code §53.1-203(6)) is a Class 5 felony, punished with up to 10 years in prison and a fine up to $2,500. According to SwangoLaw.com, narcotics that fall under Schedule III in Virginia include anabolic steroids, ketamine, codeine, and hydrocodone.
In a now-deleted YouTube video featuring a phone conversation between Annis and Manic, who he was in a relationship with, Annis stated that after the 2/9 Ring of Honor Free Enterprise event (which he was visiting at in Baltimore), he left Manic at their hotel in Maryland and drove to Virginia to get marijuana. He stated he was alone as Manic had "hit her head hard" during an angle where she was put through a table on the ROH event. Annis stated he was pulled over due to an ongoing issue with his license plate not matching the registration for his car, something he claimed had been "taken care of." Authorities searched his car and found marijuana and steroids.
In the video, Hart stated he had a "prescription" but did not clarify which he has a prescription for. Steroids would fall under a schedule III description under Virginia law. In a previous video released by Manic, she had referred to steroids in Hart's car as being the reason for his arrest. In the deleted video, Annis claimed that authorities had “already” discovered all was OK with his car and that it will be released back to "his company." Hart stated that he hoped to get the situation cleared up and get back to performing for fans as soon as possible, saying he was born to perform and make others happy.
During the 9/10 hearing, Annis was found guilty of being in possession of a schedule III narcotic. He was also fined $21 in fines and court costs for not carrying or exhibiting his driver’s license or registration. He was also fined $61 for failure to use lights with wipers. Charges of being in possession of marijuana and for improperly mounted license plates were dropped as it was determined there was not sufficient evidence to pursue those charges.
However, court records indicate that Annis’ ten day jail sentence stemmed from a March 4th arrest, where he was taken into custody for violating his house arrest in Virginia. Annis had been staying at an apartment with Virginia-area wrestler Pork Chop Johnson. Johnson stated on social media that he removed Hart for his behavior in the apartment. Hart was also fined $232 in relation to that charge.
Court records also indicate that Hart had been declared a fugitive from justice on 5/4. Record list him as arrested on that charge on 9/11, one day after he had been processed into Richmond City Jail. Hart is scheduled for another hearing on 10/13, facing charges of a felony arrest without a warrant.
Annis had also been arrested on 3/26 following a domestic incident with Manic, who later stated the situation had been blown out of proportion and that she did not wish to press charges. Court records do not reflect anything related to the date, so it appears those charges were indeed dropped.
Hart/Annis was released from his MLW contract in December 2019 after several requests to be cut loose from his deal. He last wrestled in early February at an independent event in Florida, where he had been residing prior to his first arrest in Virginia.

TONY CAPONE RELAUNCHES NAWA PROMOTION
The promotion originally ran the Westchester County area in New York, securing a TV slot nationally on Sportschannel America in the summer of 1992, utilizing names that included Sean Waltman (as the Lightning Kid), the late Hercules Hernandez, Tommy Dreamer, Taz, The Hater, Johnny Rotten (soon to become Johnny Grunge), S.D. Jones and others, including giving Joey Styles his first ever announcing experience. In an interesting piece of history, several years later when ECW needed a new production team, Styles remembered the production crew from NAWA - Ron Buffone and Charlie Bruzesse, leading to their long through Extreme Championship Wrestling. The pair now work for Impact Wrestling while Bruzesse is also a top producer for MLW.
The promotion ran for several months and then later returned on a larger scale in 1999, running the Westchester County Center with Bruno Sammartino, Shane Douglas, Sid Vicious, The Public Enemy and more appearing.
Capone announced the return of the company several weeks ago, officially launching a website last night. The website lists former WWE and WCW star Paul Roma as the promotion's Chief Operating Officer with Roma's partner in the CT-based Paradise Alley Pro Wrestling school, Mario Mancini as the head of talent relations. Former ECW star Sal E. Graziano is also listed as working in talent relations. Robert Champion, who worked with Capone on the earlier incarnations of the NAWA is also back. Cyndi Snow (aka Bobcat) and longtime independent promoter Lou Reardon are also involved in the management side.
The talent roster listed on the website is highlighted by former WWE developmental talent Danny Inferno as well as number of Northeastern independent talents. WWE Hall of Famer Bushwhacker Luke Williams has cut a promo for the promotion, so the plan is for him to appear as well.
The promotion is already placing classic content on a YouTube channel and promising a "Jingle Brawl" event for this winter that will stream and feature limited fans live. The promotion's website also states they will be running regularly in New York City, upstate New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and other cities, including Chicago and Indianapolis, although when that may occur obviously depends on the COVID-19 pandemic.
