FORMER WWE DEVELOPMENTAL TALENT ERIC ANGLE PLEADS GUILTY TO ROLE IN STEROID DISTRIBUTION RING

Angle was part of a group that sold controlled substanances, including steroids, through Internet sites.  He and two other co-conspirators were set to go to trial next week but yesterday plead guilty.  Angle pleaded guilty Monday to a drug conspiracy charge and admitted that he bought 721 grams of steroids in liquid form for redistribution.

Angle who was signed to WWE in the early 2000s and worked in Ohio Valley Wrestling before a biceps injury curtailed his wrestling career.  He had a memorable angle where he switched places his Kurt during a PPV bout against the Undertaker, which was well done, leading to his developmental deal.
Angle will be sentenced this April.
