New Evolution Wrestling- NEW "Year Three" (Night 1) Recap - Danny Duggan vs "Bulldog" Hynes (CWE Title) + PJ Black Arrives

Former X Division Champion DJZ Done With Impact Wrestling (Impact's Fault On This One)

Another example of How Impact keeps fucking up, letting another great talent's contract expire and they don't even TRY, and keep him? Stupid shits.

DJZ took to Twitter today and revealed that he is done with Impact Wrestling due to his contract expiring.
He wrote, "At midnight tonight, i will be a free agent for the first time in 7 years ...and 2019 seems like the perfect time to be available for whatever new opportunities may come my way."
DJZ first debuted with TNA back in 2011, under the Zema Ion ring name. He would go on to become a two-time X Division Champion and a one-time Tag Team Champion with Andrew Everett.
There's no word yet on if WWE has any interest in signing DJZ but the rumors will likely pick up as we get ready for the next WWE Performance Center Class of recruits in January.
On a related note, DJZ tweeted this clip from his last indie match of 2018 from the weekend and revealed a new version of his ZDT move:

MLW Fusion Episode 37: Konnan vs. Low Ki - No DQ World Title Match

Salina de la Renta’s Promociones Dorado has been in a war with Konnan since August and tonight on beiN SPORTS the saga reaches a violent showdown with gold, power and arguably the future of MLW hanging in the balance. In the main event, Konnan will come out of retirement to challenge the reigning World Heavyweight Champion Low Ki for the belt in the legendary luchador’s hometown of Miami. The bout, a no disqualification encounter, will test Konnan as he takes on a man undefeated since debuting in MLW in 2004. Low Ki has buzz sawed through Rey Fenix, Shane Strickland, Daga and many others and now he looks to add the legacy of Konnan to his mantle of trophies. Konnan looks to follow in the footsteps of Randy Couture in the UFC and George Foreman in boxing and return to the ring and claim gold in a classic Cinderella Man story that dates back to the days of James Braddock. Can Konnan do what no other wrestler has done and dethrone Low Ki? Find out tonight on beIN SPORTS at 8pm ET! Following last week’s No Holds Barred fight, Simon Gotch is determined to show the world his dominance and that in fact losing to Lawlor was a fluke. A confident Gotch will showcase his prowess in a $20,000 Prize Fight Challenge. So far, every challenger has come up short. Will anyone be able to last the full 5 minutes? Tune in to find out. Team Filthy newcomer Ariel Dominguez will be in action as he takes on pro wrestling’s skywalker Andrew Everett. Following last week’s tragic nightclub assault of Kotto Brazil, league sources believe an update on Kotto and the assailant will be available by the time FUSION hits the air on beIN SPORTS tonight. The Hart Foundation may have continued to march up the tag team rankings with a win over Tommy Dreamer and Barrington Hughes but the hardcore legend Dreamer has some choice words for Pillman following last week’s bout. Join Tony Schiavone and Rich Bocchini from South Florida for a great night of pro wrestling!

Tommy Rich Talks The Match That Inspired WWE's Hell In A Cell, Why His NWA Title Reign Was So Short

Former NWA World Champion, "Wildfire" Tommy Rich recently appeared on The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling and discussed moments and matches from his long storied career. In the following excerpt, Rich discusses how the famed "Last Battle of Atlanta" became the inspiration for what would later become the WWE's Hell In A Cell. The full episode can be downloaded at this link.
Last Battle of Atlanta being aired on the WWE Network:
"It shocked and amazed me for a film to be gone that long and never seen and I had no clue about it. To see it brought back a bunch of memories."
The match with Buzz Sawyer being the inspiration for Hell in a Cell:
"Well Buzz was challenging. I wrestled him all over the country for two years in what is the longest feud in wrestling history I'm sure. If a feud would last 8-10 weeks than you had a good run, Buzz and me traveled around the country from Michigan to Ohio and everywhere like Georgia and all over the South and sold out everywhere we went. Columbus, Ohio had them hanging from the rafters, cage matches all around the country and we ended up in that "Last Battle of Atlanta" in that Hell in a Cell and it is funny to look back because I never really related that to Hell in a Cell that they have now because the cage situation but I look back at that cage and it was definitely a raw cage match."
"It was kind of scary. It's not built like the ones they have today and it was kind of shaky and Paul Ellering was on top in that little cage he was in and you thought that he was on top of that cage and was going to fall in and you didn't really know. I guess we wrestled for over twenty minutes in that thing too."
Intensity of Buzz Sawyer:
"I think the fans knew how intense he was. You had to be on your toes with Buzz and even though you have to be on your toes with everyone with Buzz it was different every night. You didn't know where he was coming from or what he was doing and he was like half-crazy and he was like a rabies dog sometimes. I've seen him foam at the mouth and it scared me to death."
His four day title reign as NWA Champion:
"Biggest thing in my wrestling career. More-so the reason being it was Harley Race that said they ought to do it. So a lot of respect for Mr. Harley Race who to me is the greatest champion there ever was. He could be good, bad, he could be in between, he could wrestle all night, and he could get it right whatever need be. Brisco, Funks, Flair they were all great but just to be able to mention your name in that category there again blessed and thanks to the fans, thanks to promoters, thanks to Harley."
Why was the title reign so short:
"You'd have to ask the bosses that. My take on it would be that staying in Georgia because the trips were close and I was home every night and could run the streets. I didn't care nothing about traveling around because I had everything that I wanted in Georgia and it was a great honor to get that belt. I was young. Needless to say everyone knew that I drank and partied and I wasn't ready for the responsibility because it takes a lot of responsibility. I've seen Harley be in Augusta and drive to Atlanta to catch a flight to Texas and from there to Florida and they probably knew that I'd miss a couple of flights here and there and as World Champ you couldn't miss flights and you can't miss shows. To be honest with you though, I couldn't tell you. It is an honor to be in that class but would I like to have held it longer? Yeah I would but I did hold it so as far as that goes I did it."
What it meant to be a top baby-face:
"I was true. I didn't have to put on no act. When I first had come to Atlanta (which I had started in Tennessee) I was signing autographs and stuff and I just enjoyed doing that. I was eighteen years old felt as good as a box of chocolates and somebody wants my autograph? When I got to Georgia, Mr. Barnett said "Tommy my boy, part of your job is hugging babies, kissing Mamas and signing autographs" and I had no problem with that."
"When I went I was yes sir-no sir. I had the utmost respect for everybody I wrestled and listened and learned. Wahoo MacDaniels was one of the best baby-faces in the world and I just wrestled against the best too. King Kong Mosca, Blackjack Lanza, Bobby Heenan, Baron Von Raschke, Bruiser Brody I wrestled with him and I could go on all day. I wrestled Bob Backlund in Augusta, Georgia, beat Harley Race in Augusta, Georiga and I got to wrestle the cream of the crop and the best of the best and I listened to every one of them. I am so thankful that I did because I never had a problem with any of them. Anything I was asked to do I always did and I very respectful of that and that is the reason I love old school so much too I guess because I grew up in it."

Spoiling The Fun of WWE's 'Soon To be Added... Ahem (Cough Cough) Hidden Gems' Again

Once again thanks to Paul Jordan at PWInsider for not being smart enough to actually RESEARCH and see if any of these matches are already on YouTube. His lack of research, or laziness on his part shows why I'm the better journalist here, and why he's just a fucking idiot.

So let's break this down because as you'll see. WWE doesn't do research and comes out looking stupid on this, AGAIN. And Paul Jordan? Well as i said, he's a fucking moron.

There's Jordan's announcement, and what happens when you click on THIS LINK, RIGHT HERE? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvQcSd_USU8  UUHH OOHHH, UUUHHHH OOOHHH, you get THIS SAME MATCH, As announced above, see?
This match has been on YouTube for SIX FUCKING YEARS! And WWE is gonna try and claim it's a 'Hidden gem'? AAHHHHAHAHAHAHAAHA! This even has Eric Bischoff doing the intro to the video, so how stupid does WWE look now? VERY STUPID.

OOOHHH but wait, wait wait, wwaaiittt. There's more.

Greg Gagne & Jerry Lawler vs Riki Choshu and Mr. Saito? OOHH you mean, THIS MATCH... between Gagne & Lawler vs Choshu & Saito?

DDAAMMN, how did that get there, if it's supposed to be a 'Hidden Gem" later this week? LMAO! "Hidden Gem" that's already been on YouTube for TWO FUCKING YEARS!!! LMAO!

Yep, WWE is SSUURREE 'on the ball' here, let me tell you, LOL.

OOHH but wait, we have more, of course we have more. (smiles).

WCW Power Hour 09/01/1989 – Muta in the Mist
The rivalry between WWE Hall of Famer Sting and Japanese legend the Great Muta reaches a fever pitch in the summer of 1989.

Well shucky darn look what's already been on YouTube for FOUR YEARS now, THIS (cough cough... Cough) "Hidden Gem.
MMMM, MMMMM, MMMMMMMMMM.. This announcement by WWE sure doesn't look all that Blockbuster now, does it, LMAO!

(Sighs) yes there is.. ANOTHER ONE. Shinjiro Otani vs Dean Malenko? From WCW Worldwide 05/18/1996?

Well I'l be damned, LOOK what we have here. WWE can't even get the dates right for it. Each listing in that pic above? Is THE SAME MATCH!!!

You can thank me now for being the ONLY WRESTLING JOURNALIST who has the balls to bust out the WWE and another Wrestling journalist on their freaking laziness to do research. Because how, how is it these can be considered 'hidden gems' when they've been on YouTube for years?

Funny how the WWE doesn't seem to have an answer to that, imagine that.

WWE Can't Sell Out In Two Major Markets (Which Shows You How Much The Product Sucks)

When they can't even sell out in Madison Square garden anymore, their MAIN flagship arena, that says alot about how the product sucks ass. But of course, WWE will simply dismiss it with excuses. Blame others when they should look and blame, themselves.

- Wednesday's WWE live event from Madison Square Garden in New York City drew just 11,900 fans, according to several sources. This is the smallest crowd for a show on the annual post-Christmas live event tour in recent memory. WWE has not sold out a live event at Madison Square Garden in a few years now. Wednesday's live event at the Allstate Arena near Chicago drew just 6,000 fans. The post-Christmas live event in Chicago usually does around 10,000 fans.

Impact Wrestling Is Stuck In TV Purgatory And Facing A Bleak Future

Update On My Story About FITE TV Not Paying People Like They Should be.

Two days ago I posted this story about how FITE TV isn't paying creators/Indy promoters money like they should be according to the deals the network made with promoters/owners to have their content on their network. That story is located right here. https://billsbrandnewblog.blogspot.com/2018/12/hannibal-warning-to-creators-about-fite.html  ,and take note that NO OTHER wrestling news site has had the balls to tell this story. Meltzer, keller, Scherer, Keller, PWInsider, WrestlingInc, etc have all avoided doing or commenting on this story even though i know for fact they were let known about it thru people sending them links to my story.

So since a few people on Twitter, Facebook, etc have tried to dispute my story because as they 'claimed', one person talking about it doesn't mean much... WWELL.. Guess what, there is more than one person talking about it and I of course, have the proof. As I always say, proof is, a mother fucker, and I'm a mother fucker who always seems to have the proof.

Here's where Hannibal, owner of Great North Wrestling in Canada said something, which warranted me doing this story. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoN1a9R50Hs

And NOW.. Here's another one person saying the same thing, FITE TV didn't pay this guy either. SSSOO, if more than one person says the same thing, and has the very same issue? You might want to look at just how legitimate their issues are, and how valid my story really is.

The one is by Herb Simmons, long time and well respected promoter of Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dDuXWz8p-k

My my, what do we have here, TWO promoters, from two different countries having the EXACT SAME ISSUE with FITE TV? I seriously doubt that this, is a coincidence. Too bad the other aforementioned News sites don't have the balls to cover this, but you know what? Thank God they don't have the balls to do it. Because that just emphasizes me, this site and what I do even more if they're too scared to cover the stuff I do.

So there you go, TWO guys having the same issues and maybe FITE YV should start grabbing the check book and writing the checks they owe, because when more people come out and speak out about it, I'll gladly be the one with the balls to cover it. :)

This tells you how great WWE's product is, LMAO!

Fans at last night's WWE live event in Chicago almost missed the main event of the show, which saw SmackDown Women's Champion Asuka retain her title over Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat. WWE did not announce what the main event was and fans started leaving after the Steel Cage match that saw WWE Champion Daniel Bryan retain over Mustafa Ali and The Miz, which was before intermission.

Don Callis Says Impact On Pursuit Will Be "Sexier, Edgier, Maybe Even A Little More Hardcore"

Don Callis was on his Killing The Town podcast, thanks to Wrestling Inc. contributor Himanshu D. for sending this along: and talked about various topics related to IMPACT. You can listen to the podcast here:
Raven appearing on IMPACT:
"How awesome was it to have Raven on IMPACT television? I gotta tell you, I was like a kid in a candy store, came up with this idea to have Raven. I always love hanging out with him and I learnt so much even now just talking to him. I gotta tell you he was so great, my god just out there — no one scripted Raven. Raven just has great timing and he was great. Josh Mathews described him as the Keyser Söze of pro-wrestling and I think that's right. I think that that is the ideal character for Raven at this point in his career it is to be Keyser Söze, the criminal, the ultimate master mind. I think that would be really cool. So that was a really awesome thing to see Raven."
Working with IMPACT after being inactive from the business for many years:
"Being with IMPACT — you gotta understand, I was out of the business by my own choice for 13 years or more. To get back into the wrestling business and start tweaking those old scratches and itches and enjoying myself, it was just great. And people ask, 'What was the best part? Is it the travel?' Honestly, the best part for me is working with the talent. I always loved that. I always loved trying to play a role and passing on whatever knowledge I had, whether it was with the promos or how to get something over, get yourself over. Those are areas that I think I was pretty good at over my career. It's just really cool. It's hard work, it's a grind, I have never been on the road this much. It's really cool."
Sami Callihan:
"Even a guy like Sami Callihan is effectively a psychotic. He is a functioning psychotic. Sami and I have had our ups and downs without a doubt. Sami has taken some liberties with me. If I were a wrestler, I probably would have something to say about it. But one thing I will say about Sami, Sami like I was is all about getting himself over. And some people don't like that. Some people say, 'God this selfish son of a b---h, he is just getting himself over' and you know what I say to that? I say, 'You're an idiot' because that's the whole point of this business. If you are not constantly trying to get yourself over, and sometimes that means at the expense of other people — not everyone gets first prize, ladies and gentlemen. And if you think that you do then you are just never going to be over and Sami is a guy who is constantly trying to out wrestle, out fight, out talk, out do, out promote everybody else. And I love that about him."
Jake and Dave Crist:
"I can't stand The Crist brothers. That's a redemption story too. I wanted to fire those guys when I first came into IMPACT. I'd seen them on TV a couple of times. I was like, 'What?' But this is the thing, people say, 'Oh you like the Crists now. They are really cool. What they do, they are great heels. What did you do, Don?' I didn't change anything about the Crists. We didn't change anything about the Crists. We let the Crists be the Crists. My thing was always I want Jake and Dave to have their time. Yeah, Sami is Ric Flair and those guys are Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson. That's not a bad thing. Not everyone can be Ric Flair. That's Sami Callihan. But that doesn't mean that Tully and Arn don't have their own thing. And I want Jake and Dave and we all want Jake and Dave to have their own thing. And man, I tell you they have really stepped up. Jay Crist doing the 'mini draw' thing to me is... man, I love that is just so ridiculous and crazy and awesome. Dave Crist has got some of the best facials in wrestling on these promos and Sami is Sami."
Johnny IMPACT:
"You talk about guys like Johnny IMPACT. He's our world champion and man, he's been a pleasure as well. Such a good dude. You talk about the prototype world champion, that's the guy."
Brian Cage:
"Getting to work with Brian and I think that maybe my tone and my way of talking to Brian early on might have been a bit of a shock to him. And I'm not going to get into what was said, but if you listen to this podcast you kinda know. I wanna see aggressive, driven, selfish Brian Cage. GMSI stands for 'Get My s--t In', it doesn't stand for 'Get Your s--t In Too'. I love working with Brian and I think Brian has maybe the most untapped potential in the wrestling business, which is scary when you think about saying 'untapped potential' and all the stuff he already does. It's the stuff he's currently not doing, that's the stuff that's gonna make Brian Cage the biggest star in wrestling at some point."
The Pursuit Channel deal:
"This week we announced our move from Pop TV which was a great partner for us. A lot of fans thought, 'Wow, you guys should be on a different network with a different demographic' so we announced this week we're moving to Pursuit which is an exciting thing for me. When you talk about how you deal with your content as a company because our parent company Anthem owns not only the Fight Network and Game TV, they also own a significant stake in Pursuit. It's a great strategic move for us, and I think people are going to love to see a sexier, edgier, maybe even a little more hardcore IMPACT Wrestling. I'm really, really pumped about that."
