Update On WWE's Crown Jewel Event

As of this morning, tickets still have yet to go on sale for the 11/2 Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. 

However, the first set of WWE staff members working the show are scheduled to travel there within the next day with the remaining heading over there following the next set of TV tapings.  The talk at this week's TV among staffers was about traveling to Saudi Arabia, so everyone is under the impression they are going as nothing else has been communicated to them by management. If WWE is going to change plans, they will have to do so very soon.

What Happens When A WWE Mark On FB Tried To Square Off With Me (He Got Checked, lol)

In one of the FB groups I post in this WWE 'Mark' as you can see by the shots here, tried to square off with me on a WWE subject. His name calling, attempted threats of banning off of FB (which failed, if he actually had the balls to really try it that is) and what not got him clearly creamed by me. When he clearly saw i was running rings around him he resorted to what just about every idiot I encounter does. Always replies the same way with the same answers. They always do this. Why is it these dumb fucks always reply the same way? It gets to be way to east to make idiots like Dukes here look like a dumb fuck. He did finally went and hid behind blocking me because he found out that in an armed battle of words, he was totally unarmed and unprepared to be put in check as swiftly as I put him there. But, this is the level of dumb shit I have deal with on FB, Twitter, etc. Assclowns who somehow are allowed internet access when in fact they shouldn't open their mouths to begin with.

It never gets old putting dumb fucks like this in their place, I just wish they'd be more of a challenge. So if you know this Robb Dukes, tell him about how he tried to 'put up his dukes' and lost big time to me, LMAO!

UUHH OOHH, WWE "Frantically" Looking For A New Crown Jewel Location?

WWE officials are reportedly scouting new locations for the Crown Jewel event, according to Robbie Fox of Barstool Sports.

Fox, who reported on Monday that the event was in jeopardy of happening and that John Cena and Daniel Bryan were not making the trip, reported today that WWE officials are "frantically scouting" new locations for the event. Fox noted that this is not definite confirmation that the event is being moved out of Saudi Arabia but the location and the date are in major jeopardy.

As noted earlier, multiple sources are reporting that Cena has informed WWE officials that he will not be making the trip, presumably due to the controversy surrounding the Kingdom and WWE's working relationship with them. We have no other update on Bryan not attending the show if it's held in Saudi Arabia but he was mentioned in Fox's original report. WWE writers were told on Monday to be looking for Cena's replacement in the World Cup. WWE is still advertising Cena for the World Cup but that could be because they hope he changes his mind, or because he would once again become involved in the event if it finds a new home outside of the Kingdom. Bryan is set to face WWE Champion AJ Styles at Crown Jewel.

The WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view is currently scheduled for Friday, November 2 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the 25,000-seat King Saud University Stadium. We will keep you updated on if the date & location are changed.

WWE Marks Are Falling For This Roman Reigns "Excuse" When They Don't See The Obvious

The shot you see above? was posted as part of Meltzer's update, was posted as RAW was on the air. Now unfortunately the WWE marks are falling for Roman's Leukemia 'excuse' but don't see the most obvious pieces to this.
Roman, like others on the WWE roster don't want to so the Crown Jewel show in Saudi Arabia and really who can blame him? A journalist was killed and Saudi Arabia was responsible for it. Businesses left and right have been pulling out of business deals with Saudi Arabia over this but yet Vince McMahon, is bound and determined to keep the show going there, no matter what flack it may bring him and his company, or stockholders.
So Roman doesn't want to go and took a stand, you think he really could've went out there and said what he said without the WWE scripting that promo for him? Come on, they script every promo, right down to the last word. It's a nice attempt at covering the fact Roman doesn't want to go to Saudi Arabia, and since the new Universal Champion is now going to be crowned, where? OOHH yes, Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel. You don't see the obvious that even a blind man can see?
Much like when Shawn Michaels didn't want to do a job so he dropped the title claiming he "lost his smile", here we have this. Roman didn't want to go to the show, and probably didn't want to do the job on that show, so let's come up with this so he doesn't have to and seems to have a safe yet 'very convenient' out, especially with the timing of all this. It all comes together nicely in a pretty package with a bow on top that any blind man can see.
How the WWE marks can't see what is so fucking obvious here, is beyond me. But. That's why alot of them are still marks and I, will always be alittle smarter than them. Again, the timing and how they pieced it together is wwaayy too convenient. Only an idiot can't see this and believe me, there's alot of WWE fans proving to be idiots tonight.

tickets for Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia were to go on sale Friday. They did not. The website in Saudi Arabia handling the tickets told people who asked that WWE has not confirmed to them that the show will go on.

Reigns missed the entire weekend. Bliss and Mysterio were on the weekend tour and worked the night before in Hartford, and there was significant interest and disappointment in Boston about Mysterio not being there. No announcement was made at the show and fans didn't realize he wouldn't be there until they announced the AJ Styles vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Shinsuke Nakamura WWE title match as the main event.

At this point WWE hasn't said anything about any of the nonappearances. There was talk on Saturday night that Bliss, coming off an injury in her first weekend back, was hurt again, but that wasn't confirmed, past the point she was then off yesterday's show.

National Wrestling Alliance President Billy Corgan took to Instagram with thoughts on last night's NWA 70 event, which aired live on Fite.tv:

Magnum TA @magnum_ta was an absolute joy to engage with, and showed when speaking live of the NWA's future why he is so highly regarded with fans and people in the business.

Jim Cornette, on commentary, reminded why there is no one better with a microphone, and I appreciate him lending his gravitas to the event. His partner, Joe Galli, has such a bright future, and I hope he will remain as our leading voice for decades. As

well, I was thrilled to have Tony Schiavone (@tonyschiavone24) call the main event.

As this highlights one of the great pleasures of owning the NWA, which is seeing these legends do what they do best.

On the production side, we fell short on providing a televised event up to the standard that I would consider acceptable. Which reminded me greatly as to why people questioned my pursuit of TNA (in terms of wanting to buy the company, and filed a

potential lawsuit to do so). Put simply, building up a culture like Smashing Pumpkins or the NWA, takes time, trial and error, and great risk. And throwing $$$ at the problems doesn't necessarily correct the issues, and in some cases makes it worse.

So last night I was painfully reminded of how hard this journey is, and knew by the time the last bell rung we have much work to do before we'd run another such live event. Which in no way diminishes my appreciation for those who ordered or

attended the event. In fact, it increases it.

Sitting ringside for the main event, I had one recurring thought, which is there are only a few people on the planet (let's say the number is under 30) who could do what Nick and Cody did last night. Or, as I used to

tell my Mother, 'this is why they pay me the big bucks, Ma'. Skilled, talented people need the right stage and crowd to show their best, and last night was exactly that. The fans were FANTASTIC. Pushing Cody and Nick to a place I think that surprised

them. I remain hopeful for a third, definitive contest.

Lastly, the vibe backstage with talent was jubilant, and hopeful. From a living legend like Dory Funk, Jr, to the kid in the dark. And that speaks volumes.

Eric Bischoff On Why Roddy Piper Signed With WCW, Tension Between Piper And Hulk Hogan

The legendary Roddy Piper surprisingly made the jump from WWE to WCW in 1996. Former WCW president Eric Bischoff recently discussed what it was like to work with Piper on an episode of his 83 Weeks podcast.

Bischoff said he was amazed at how much Piper was interested knowing about the creative side before he would commit to signing with WCW. When the two of them met, Bischoff was impressed with how much Piper knew about what was going on in WCW and he revealed that Piper was a fan of their storylines involving the nWo. Piper's attitude was a stark contrast from other wrestlers who were more concerned about the financial gains they would make if they joined WCW.

"You know what... Roddy Piper wasn't all about the money. Roddy was way more interested in the creative. When I say that I say it in a general sense, like a macro sense," Bischoff said. "I think what Roddy was really interested in from what I remember at that meeting because I do remember that meeting quite well, Roddy got so animated when we started talking about pro wrestling. His passion for it became really evident.

"In the first part of the meeting it was a regular greeting, but once we started talking about what was different about WCW Nitro and why it was working. There were several things that he loved. He loved the nWo," Bischoff continued. "He loved the fact that we were breaking the mold and disrupting the formula because that was how Roddy Piper was. In many ways he was a traditionalist in pro wrestling. He was a 'throwback' as far as someone who believed in the product and gave a lot to it, but he was also a progressive-thinking guy, which I believe he was because of his experience in television and in movies and his interest in it, and with discussions that he had with people outside of pro wrestling that all content had to evolve. Pro wrestling was no different, and Roddy Piper saw what a lot of others saw, which was, holy s**t, this is hot. What are you guys thinking? What was the psychology behind this? Where was the nWo going? We did discuss those things with the kind of big ideas were between WCW and the nWo and where it was headed, which were things that he did like."

After his famed rivalry with Hulk Hogan in WWE, it was expected that Piper would feud with "Hollywood" Hogan in WCW. Bischoff said there was backstage tension between the two, but Piper was still excited to reignite the rivalry.

"Of course we also talked about the possibilities of matches against Hulk Hogan, because Piper hadn't talked to Hulk at that point because, yes, there may have been some professional tension between them as who the top guys were, and who didn't want to do a job to the other, which is really childish, but when you think about how much money was involved it really wasn't that childish, but they had both more or less gotten all over that," Bischoff said. "There was still a little residual of comments that were made towards one another, including me, but Roddy was really looking forward for the opportunity to work with Hulk, with Randy [Savage] and certainly with Ric Flair. I mean, Roddy loved Ric Flair. Ric and Roddy were tighter than that."

When Piper agreed to join WCW, most of the superstars were excited to have him on the roster. Bischoff said the only wrestlers who were concerned were mid-carders who were afraid they would get pushed further down the card. As far as the top superstars, they welcomed Piper with open arms.

"There may have been people who felt--like, some of the mid-card guys who maybe thought they were on the verge of breaking into the top-tier with the semi-main event status of storylines, which is a better way of saying it may have thought that here is one more guy who has now become one more rung to the ladder I have to climb now," Bischoff said. "You can't deny that, but nobody really expressed it to me. Of the people that I dealt with more regularly at the time, more creatively like Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, who didn't have a problem with it, as long as they got their checks on time. Hulk Hogan was actually excited about it. Randy Savage was supportive of it and Ric Flair couldn't wait so unless somebody had feelings that weren't articulated to me, it pretty much was everybody was pretty supportive of it."

Piper ended up making his debut at Halloween Havoc and immediately entered into a feud with Hogan and nWo. Bischoff said it was perfect timing for him to make his debut when Hogan was already at the top of the card, especially since fans knew about the real-life tension between the two of them. Bischoff wanted his storylines to be based of real life as much as possible, so it was a great way to get Piper started in WCW.

"Probably more than anything it was a coincidence. It would be easy for me to make it sound like it was a master plan. Oftentimes it was just coincidence of good timing. Roddy was available and we had worked on his deal. We were obviously excited to have Roddy Piper on the roster because it opened up a lot of creative opportunities with Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan because of their history and the legacy they had previously. Everyone was aware of the heat between Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart. We had heard about it a million times, and Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper had their share of tension that the core, the hardcore, not the passive audience or the mainstream audience was aware of, but your hardcore audience, who knew the ins and outs and followed it closely with the dirt sheets where they were well aware of that," Bischoff said. "To me, it was like okay, now we have something to work with. In this period of time from 1996, 1997 & 1998 I tried to capture real relationship, real life heat, whatever was real to some degree that the audience knew about I tried to capture those moments or relationships and turn the volume up on them, and Roddy brought that up to the table, so there really wasn't a master plan other than the fact that Roddy was excited. He was probably excited because we had a lot of momentum. It was a two way street--we were excited about him but he was also excited to be there. He saw all of those same opportunities that we did. WCW Nitro was on a roll and it was the talk of the town where we were outperforming everybody and Roddy wanted to be a part of it as much as we wanted him to be part of us."

Dumb Ass Wrestler Uses Gay Slurs On A Show When he Wasn't Even Supposed To Do A Promo

There was a very controversial issue on a Heavy Metal Wrestling show in Texas on Friday. Rudy Gonzalez, who has trained a lot of wrestlers, was there cutting a promo and apparently he didn't have permission to do so, started cussing and used a gay slur more than one time and the talent on the show were shocked thinking that fans would be offended and not come back. You really can't be doing that on shows today. The promotion issued an apology but didn't mention details as to what or to Gonzalez's name but mentioned offensive language to the LGBT community. Ricky Stars wrote, "If your trainer uses derogatory language at a show and you back him up or don't check his ass, you're just as bad. This is directed at TWA in San Antonio, trainer and all. Don't talk about how to do things "right" and then go and pull stuff like that."

Pro Wrestler Matt Riviera Named President Of A Digital Broadcast Network

Pro wrestler and promoter Matt Riviera has been named the President of Right Now TV (RNTV), an Atlanta-based digital broadcast network. The network will include at least two pro wrestling shows, USA Championship Wrestling and TCW Wrestling, and would be interested if there are any quality tape libraries available.

While a final number is still being calculated, the National Wrestling Alliance 70th Anniversary event last night was the highest grossing wrestling event in the history of the Nashville Fairgrounds Arena, including every TNA PPV ever held there.

The NWA 70 event was just shy of an official sellout. 

There were some technical problems at the beginning as opening video has live audience audio. Joe Galli, Tony Schiavone and Jim Cornette welcomed us to the Asylum at the Nashville Fairgrounds and ran down the card.

Same audio issue as Colt Cabana and Sammy Guevara were interviewed in the back but we were hearing the commentary team. Scorpio Sky did a video promo, then it was time for our opening match.

During the press conference, new NWA Champion Nick Aldis said he'd like to defend the title against Marty Scurll.  Aldis and Scurll actually broke into the business and worked a lot of independents together in Europe during their earliest days in the business.

While Jazz's post-match promo implied she was going for the NWA title, it was meant to reference that she wanted her own "Ten Pounds of Gold" series, similar to the one that follows the NWA Champion on YouTube.

Magnum TA was booked this past Thursday to appear tonight.  Initially JJ Dillon was slated to be the legend who would present the NWA National title to Willie Mack, but a health issue prevented Dillon from appearing.  TA's promo tonight was

absolutely great and there were scores of people putting him over after the show for how gracious and easy he was to work with.

Prior to his injury, Joey Janela was booked for the show but obviously had to pull out.  Janela would have been competing for the NWA National title.

In a dark match before the Fite.TV broadcast went on the air, James Ellsworth defeated Karim Brigante.  Ellsworth was originally booked to wrestle on the PPV but was cut as plans for the show evolved.  Brigante has worked for Harley Race's World

League Wrestling in Missouri.

During the show, it was announced the promotion would be working with The Crockett Foundation charity to bring back the Crockett Cup next year.   

Jeff Jarrett headed production on the show.  Championship Wrestling from Hollywood's Dave Marquez directed the show.

The consensus backstage was that they knew the production issues needed to be addressed going forward and would be.

A lot of the logistical work on the show, like ring crew, were handled by Crimson's promotion.

Eric Bischoff On Ric Flair Being The Middle Man To Bring Hulk Hogan To WCW, Not Handling Flair Well

During his second run with WCW Ric Flair, had a publicized feud with Eric Bischoff, who filed a lawsuit against him for no-showing a live episode of Thunder in 1998. On a recent episode of Bischoff's 83 Weeks podcast, the former WCW president discussed different topics regarding his experiences working with Flair.

Bischoff went into great detail about Flair's involvement in getting Hulk Hogan to sign with WCW in 1994. Bischoff said he was the first to make contact with Hogan, but it was Flair who was able to ease Hogan's concerns about the state of WCW at that time. WCW had been mismanaged for years, so it took some convincing to get Hogan to sign on.

"I didn't go to Ric Flair and reach out to Hulk Hogan. I did rely 100% on Ric Flair to get Hulk comfortable. Hulk was--and again, context is king, but he was not in WWF, so the urban narrative that I 'stole' Hulk Hogan from the WWF is a fabrication. It didn't happen that way. He had already left. Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan had parted ways over the steroid trial and Hulk had made up his mind that he was done with professional wrestling," Bischoff said. "He was going to go and do television and movies. He was working on a television series called 'Thunder in Paradise,' which was being filmed at the MGM Studios, the same time we were filming there, and that was when I put the word out that I sure would love to talk with Hulk Hogan and Hulk had called me in the middle of the night. It was 1:30 in the morning on a weekday, which I knew who the voice on the other end was. He has a pretty recognizable voice and we started chatting. At that point I tagged Flair in because Hulk didn't trust anybody. He didn't trust anybody in WCW. He looked at WCW for what it was at the time, which was a cluster and completely mismanaged. It was a revolving door with senior management and a political nightmare, and Hulk knew that."

Bischoff said he sweetened the deal for Hogan by offering him more money for less work. Even though Hogan was intrigued by the cushy deal, he still needed assurance that he'd be working with Flair because Flair was the only wrestler in the WCW locker room that he trusted.

"He had liked the deal we presented him; look, Hulk's kids [Brooke and Nick] were really young so the idea to only work a handful of dates a year and a couple TV's to support those dates. His original deal was for four pay-per-views a year and then the television appearances that were required; I think three or four of them leading to pay-per-views, so I think you can do the math. It was like 16 dates total, or maybe 20," Bischoff said. "That meant that Hulk Hogan would be able to spend more time with his kids because at the time that was his main priority, but at the same time he didn't want to enter into the shark tank of WCW because it was everybody stabbing each other in the back at every opportunity, and Ric Flair was the one guy that Hulk knew he could work with and the one guy he could trust who would absolutely get in the ring for his comeback and can use Ric Flair, so I did use Ric Flair. Ric was down there during every meeting I had with Hulk, with the exception of when I was talking about money, which came at the very end, but in the beginning--if it weren't for Ric I don't think Hulk would have ever made the move".

Bischoff said he was surprised to hear accusations of mistreatment from Flair, but he understands where they came from. Bischoff admitted that he mishandled Flair during the rise of the nWo. As the company's focus shifted to the infamous faction, Flair felt that he was kicked by the wayside. Bischoff said it was just business and he didn't intend to make Flair feel like he was being disrespected.

"Nobody was more enthusiastic about bringing Hulk Hogan in than Ric. Nobody was more enthusiastic about doing a job for Hulk Hogan than Ric Flair. He wanted to be the heel to Hulk Hogan's babyface because that was a perfect role for Ric. There seems to be a lot of bitterness and anger and I was the target of that for guys that were in WWF at the time, it doesn't surprise me, but it doesn't reflect what was going on," Bischoff explained. "I loved Ric Flair. What he hasn't talked about in his book was that when he was part of the booking committee and he and his family--all of them, would come down to the MGM Studios and his family and my family were all staying down the yacht club together and we became really close friends. That is why when I hear about some of the stuff that supposedly happened during that period of time when I treated him like dirt, that just didn't happen.

"Granted, in 1996 when my attention shifted and when the nWo became the focus of the company, and by the way, rightfully so, because it was the first time within the company in its history that the company started making money," he continued. "It wasn't because I was a mark, or I was friends with Hulk Hogan or wanted to be, or Scott Hall or Kevin Nash. It was happening and the shift of focus and the energy that was being put in the nWo was being put in it because it was the first time we had made some money and it had to be that way. What happened with Ric was that he felt less important to the company. He felt less important to me, and this is where I f**ked up. Rather than communicating, which I could have done more effectively but I didn't. I am not making excuses, and I feel horrible about it, but it is what it is. It wasn't because I didn't respect Ric or that I didn't like him or that he didn't have any value, quite the opposite frankly, but all of the focus was going in a different direction away from Ric and it affected Ric. It made him angry and it caused a lot of problems."

Taz Details Why He "Knew He Was Screwed" When He Made His WWE Debut

Taz was a guest on a recent episode of The Apter Chat with Bill Apter and Josh Shernoff. The interview touched on many points of Taz's career and eventually got to his debut at Madison Square Garden. After Taz's debut in WWE, his push died down, and Taz said that he knew that would happen when he heard the crowd's reaction to his debut.

"When I debuted and that popped happened, and all that jazz, and I talk about this on my show many times, when I was walking down the aisle and I had that black towel on my head in [Madison Square] Garden, it was an amazing feeling," said Taz. "But before I even got to the ring, I knew I was screwed. I knew that I was in trouble. Because I heard the pop, I've been in the business long enough, I knew the business and I knew that the pop was not made or built by the WWE. That was made from myself and the guys that I was fortunate enough to put me over by ECW. That pop? That's what that pop was. It was not them from advertising a tribal 13 logo, which was cool because people didn't know it was me coming. That pop was because of the fortunate history that I have had, in the tri-state area especially. Being a New York guy that was also from ECW. I knew that I was doomed because that's how WWE was back then, it's a lot different now. Today, if I debuted like that, I'd be getting pushed to the moon."

Taz also revealed that he used to not be comfortable talking in front of a crowd. Eventually that would change and he would go on to have some good promos in ECW. He wanted the chance to work the mic when he joined WWE, but Vince McMahon wouldn't allow it until he got into an angle with Jerry Lawler, which led to him being at the announcers table.

"[Vince] didn't want me to talk," Taz revealed. "I didn't get on the mic and believe me, I had some pretty good promo work at ECW and I had my catchphrase 'beat me if you can, survive if I let you' and he didn't care. He kind of wanted to re-brand me. And they don't tell you that. You kind of have to figure that out on your own. So fast forward a little bit, maybe a year or so, year and a half, I got into an angle with JR [Jim Ross] and that was at the Garden where I got verbal with JR and cut a promo on JR. Then they had Jerry Lawler punch me and he knocks me on my ass. I get into a big pull apart with king and me and king get into this angle for a couple weeks. Well, that angle is what put me at the announce desk because they had me take out Lawler before SmackDown, or something like that, and I sat next to Michael Cole. I was supposed to sit there for a segment and then Jerry Lawler was supposed to attack me from behind through the audience. I sat there, and I had never done this, and Vince [McMahon], Kevin [Dunn] and these guys were like, 'just talk, rip Jerry Lawler, rip Michael Cole, just rip people, just be a rude, be a heel, be nasty.

"So I sat there and I didn't really know the timing or what to do. Michael Cole kind of held my hand through that one match. I knew right away, and I wasn't trying to be an announcer, I knew right away that the cadence with Michael Cole and I flowed pretty good in that one match. I don't even remember who the hell was wrestling. The match ends. Nobody attacks me from behind. There's no Jerry Lawler. Now it's SmackDown, so we're not live. We're in a break, that would be a commercial insert, and I'm sitting with Michael Cole and we've got headsets on, so you don't really want to say to much because all of the bosses are backstage. And I'm saying to myself 'where's Lawler? Why am I out here still? What am I doing?' They said nothing to me."

Taz received a call from Kevin Dunn several days later for an opportunity to announce a WWE UK PPV. Taz ended up taking the opportunity and impressed the two people that mattered most.

"We got done and it sounded pretty good. I was walking backstage, there was this big corner hall, and there was nobody around this one corner. I see Kevin Dunn coming out of the truck with just Vince [McMahon]. So at the time, that's the power right there. That's the WWE. It's just me walking at them and Vince smiled at me and Vince just said, 'you've got a future.' 'That was awesome.'

Soon after the PPV, Taz become a full-time commentator for WWE. He said that McMahon wanted him commentating for as long as he wanted. Eventually Taz wanted to move on from WWE.

"Real simple. I left WWE on my terms, which I'm proud of," Taz said. "I have no ill will at all towards WWE on iota. I had a contract sitting in front of me right before WrestleMania, my deal had ended it was the week before 'Mania... I needed to get out of there. I needed out. I needed out. I needed out. I did not want to be there anymore. I needed a break from everything. The company. I loved everybody there, I just needed out. I was burned out. It was a tough decision.

"I was there almost ten years. Almost a decade. It got to the point where it was just... Vince was a little bit micromanaging at that time on all the commentators. You felt like you had no creativity. I was just not having fun, at all. I knew that there was some interest and intrigue from TNA. It looked like they were having fun. They had some talent there, a lot of guys that I didn't know. I wanted to call some of their matches and I felt like that was a good way to give me an injection, a new injection of my career."

Taz left WWE in 2009 and while has been part of a few projects for WWE, he has never made a full return. He noted that he has no regrets for never making a full return to the WWE.

"A lot of wrestling fans have this preconceived notion, that once you are in the wrestling business, or in the WWE per-say, and you're doing well and you get fired or quit; that you want to go back. You're jonesing to go back. You need to go back. No. I'm grateful and I'm blessed that I don't need to go there. I have nothing against those people. I've done some business with them. They had me do some stuff on the WWE Network a while back. That ECW thing they did."

"I have no ill will. I hope they succeed and keep making millions. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. But I'm happy. I'm the happiest I've been in my whole career to be frank."

Pat Tanaka Talks WWF Stars Not Wanting To Work With Him, Vince McMahon's Response, Shawn Michaels

Recently The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling was able to welcome for a very rare interview former Orient Express and Bad Company member, Pat Tanaka. Known as a tag team specialist in the AWA and WWF, Tanaka's size and moves were deemed innovative for the time he competed and he retells the stories that helped mold his career and overcome a lot of adversity during a "big man" era. We also get amazing insight into the famed Royal Rumble 1991 opening match between the Orient Express and The Rockers where the four men competing turned three minuets into an all time classic. "I didn't mind it at all. I am Japanese for real but I'm not from Japan. I was born in the States and heck I didn't mind it at all and it is apart of my third generation. I am Japanese and I didn't mind playing Japanese and it is cool with me because what better character to give? People would have had plastic surgery to look oriental to take my place. How could I say no?

"I was just like wow. I couldn't believe it was so awesome. I remember knowing it was so different for me because you have to remember that there was no small guys back then. I was 5'8'' and I weighed 170 lbs and I remember our first team we worked with was the Demolition and they were looking at me as to say, 'yeah right.' They were upset and were saying that they were not working with us, it was bullsh*t and that they were not putting over 'those' guys. When you walked in that dressing room it was intimidating because you've got all these big guys and they were asking, 'what are you doing Vince?' It was horrible how it was to us but I just did whatever they asked me to do and I know Vince had to tell them that either you work with us or you leave because he didn't want anything happening to us when we are in the ring. After a couple of matches everybody knew we were okay and they got to know me and they knew that I worked my ass off and that I would bump my ass off for them and do my job. I wasn't out there to be a star, I was there to make them look good that was my job."

Bringing in former partner Paul Diamond as Kato:

"Me and him (Diamond) never had to say anything to each other because we pretty much knew what was next and what we had to do. It is like The Rockers with Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels because they never had to talk. We put that match together for the Royal Rumble because we originally thought our match was going to be three minutes and they told us right as we were walking out that now they need thirty minutes, that crazy when you are walking to the ring. But it is just like that, it is just the chemistry you have with your partner and the teams that you work with. I was lucky to work with people like Shawn Michaels, Marty Jannetty, Demolition, Legion of Doom were incredible to work with and people like the Hart Foundation and I mean Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Jim Neidhart and anyone who was in that era they really loved to work and that is what was great about it."

"When we put our finish together for the first three minutes we didn't think we'd have to stretch it for twenty-seven minutes. But it is like when we faced Legion of Doom it didn't look right. They had five-hundred pounds on us and it looked ridiculous with us working them but when we did work with them it was the chemistry that was incredible and it was so much fun to work with them and I loved taking those fast bumps and that kind of stuff."

Stretching Royal Rumble 91 from 3 minutes to 30:

"Pretty much everybody that I remember stood up on their feet and started clapping because pretty much we couldn't breathe when we came to the back and it was just so crazy how out of breathe we were that I couldn't even talk and so blown up. But I remember that everybody was just saying what a match it was and that is something that is rarely said to you."

Did he prefer to work Shawn Michaels or Marty Jannetty:

"Honestly, I worked with both Marty and Shawn in single matches and I'll tell you one thing that it is just incredible working with both of them that I couldn't pick one because I know that they are going to take care of me and I am going to take care of them and it is going to be great. Heck, it was a blast just working with either one of them so I can't pick because they were both incredible."

Jason At Pro-Wrestling.Net did the story alleging that Chris Jericho, Jim Ross and AXS-TV were creating a wrestling promotion together. I saw over at Wrestlinginc that both Jericho AND, AXS-TV killed the rumor. As you can see by the shots here I tried to inform Jason (Much like I did a guy named "Park' over at The Torch) That Jericho and AXS-TV both deny this. You can see for yourself how Jason responds to having someone confirm something he allegedly 'couldn't confirm'. One look at Wrestlinginc confirmed it so how he 'couldn't confirm' it is a freaking mystery. Sometimes you just have to make someone look like the fucking idiot that they are. I also posted the link to where AXS-RV denied involvement but obviously Jason won't approve that one because well. I pretty much did his job for him and I'm not even part of Pro-Wrestling.Net. You can thank me for doing what the so called 'more well known' columnsys can't seem to do. It was my pleasure putting Jason here, in check.

Since Jason at Pro-Wrestling.Net replied but wouldn't post the other thing that confirms what he claims he 'couldn't confirm'. I'll add this here. My site doesn't get enough attention? I do believe these numbers from yesterday leading in to today say what kind of viewership I get. It's quite impressive.
