Sienna Departs IMPACT Wrestling

Over the week IMPACT Wrestling Knockout, Sienna was removed from the official IMPACT website and placed under the alumni section.

Back in January of 2018 at a set of IMPACT tapings, she was hospitalized due to experiencing short and labored breathing, along with severe back spasms/sharp pains at the top of her inhale. She expected that she had a displaced rib or a collapsed lung but found out that she has a blood clot in each of her lungs. At the set of tapings, she wrestled Allie and Kiera Hogan in matches, which would end up being her last matches with the company.

In April of 2016, it was reported that Kay had signed with the company. She made her debut by attacking Jade. She then engaged in a feud with both Gail Kim and Jade by joining an alliance with Maria and Allie. On the May 17 episode of Impact Wrestling, Sienna defeated Velvet Sky with Sky’s job on the line. At Slammiversary, Sienna captured the TNA Knockouts Championship defeating Jade and Gail Kim after Marti Bell returned and attacked Jade. On August 25, 2016, in Turning Point Sienna lost the TNA Knockouts Championship against Allie in a Five–Way Match, also involving Madison Rayne, Marti Bell, and Jade.

On April 21, 2017, she defeated Christina Von Eerie to win the GFW Women’s Championship, making her the first woman to have held the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Championship and the GFW Women’s Championship. At Slammiversary, the GFW Women’s Champion defeated Impact Knockouts Champion Rosemary to unify the titles, entering her second reign as the new Unified GFW Knockouts Champion. At the Destination X, Sienna retained her Knockouts Championship against Gail Kim due to interference from the returning Taryn Terrell. Following this, at Bound For Glory 2017, Sienna lost the Knockouts Championship to Gail Kim.

Squared Circle Sirens, who broke this story were told her contract with IMPACT came to an end whilst she was injured and she did not re-sign with the company.

If your scroll down my blog you'll find a rebuttal i wrote to Michael Johnson at PWInsider (a rebuttal he has since been ignoring because the truth hurt). In it I said if Hogan was truly serious then you didn't need any cameras when making an amends.

WELL.. As you can see by the pic here.. THIS validates everything I said in the article and further proves that I was right in what I wrote in my rebuttal to what Mr. Johnson wrote. Ayako Hamada has been placed under probation following her arrest for possession of methamphetamines.

Initially, outlets in Japan and the US reported that Hamada had been sentenced to eighteen months in prison. Sister Xochitl Hamada, however, told Mediotiempo in Mexico that Hamada had been sentenced to three years probation, and that if she were to violate her probation she could face eighteen months in prison.

In a statement to media in Japan, Hamada announced that she is retiring from pro wrestling due to the situation. She stated that she hopes to find work as a interpreter since she is fluent in both Japanese and Spanish.

Hamada, 37, was arrested back on May 13 for possession of a banned stimulant, in this case meth. Pro Wrestling Wave, who she was working for at the time, immediately terminated her contract. Sendai Girls also stripped her of their world title, which she had just won a few weeks before her arrest. 

The daughter of Gran Hamada, Ayako Hamada started her career in 1998, initially working for the Arison promiton. She would later go on to wrestle mainly in Japan and Mexico, though she did have a run in Impact Wrestling and has also wrestled for SHIMMER. Before her arrest, she had been mainly working for Seadlinnng and Sendai Girls, along with Pro Wrestling Wave.

Former TNA Knockout Sentenced To Prison

Former two-time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion Ayako Hamada has been sentenced to 18 months in prison over drug charges, according to Yahoo Japan.

Hamada, the 37 year old daughter of the legendary Gran Hamada, was arrested at home in Tokyo back on May 13th. This led to her Pro Wrestling Wave departure and Sendai Girls Pro Wrestling stripping her of their world title.

Police were called to Hamada's home back in May after she told a promoter that she would miss their event because she was being held at knifepoint by someone. Police found Hamada acting strange and that led to her testing positive for drugs. She admitted taking drugs through her nose

• The FIght Network, which Anthem Sports & Entertainment (the parent company of Impact Wrestling) owns, will have a daily block of programming on Showcase TV in the UK starting at 9 p.m. every night. That will include Impact airing on the channel at the same time as it does on Pop TV in the United States, along with replays on Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m. Impact’s UK and Ireland Twitter account tweeted that the show will still be airing on 5Spike as well.

Rebuttal To Something Michael Johnson At PWInsider Wrote About Hulk Hogan.

By all means let Michael Johnson know i wrote this, please do. I encourage it.

I'm reading this thing that Michael Johnson at PWInsider wrote about “Hogan Shouldn't Be Left Off The Hook Yet". (link provided below), so since I know he won't have the guts to post my rebuttal to him disagreeing with a lot of what he said, I'll just do it here (and the other places where I post stuff, including my blog as well).

According to Mr. Johnson he thinks if Hogan is truly sorry for the things he said then he should take 10% of the Gawker Settlement money (roughly around three million dollars and donate it to charities and create scholarships and programs in inner cities. This is Mr. Johnson's own words that you'll see when you click the link.

I definitely disagree and call bullshit on these ideas. MONEY, doesn't 'buy' forgiveness, no matter how much is donated, where. Here's a direct quote. “If it wasn’t about the money, he can live with making a major donation by creating something that can legitimately change the lives of those who desperately need a hero to help them by making their lives better”. But it ISN't about money even though Mr. Johnson seems to WANT IT to be about money.

There's a simple solution. Yes he apologized to the locker room at the PPV, good deal. But why not just go and apologize to the very guy he was talking about? (His daughter's then boyfriend)? If the situation is OK to where those two can meet and things won't escalate, THAT, is what should be done. No need to make it a public display with a camera, just two people meeting somewhere privately and talking it out. That's all that needs to be done. Actions like that speak louder than donating money here, there and everywhere.

I know a lot about making those kind of hard face to face amends but in the end if Hogan wants to really clean up his side of the fence so to speak, there's the simple yet effective way to do it. Whether the guy accepts it or not, doesn't matter. Just make THAT KIND of effort will count a lot more in the long run.

Bottom line? REAL MEN make the apologies to the people they offended face to face, and don't just throw money around and hope for the best.

Mark Henry On How African American WWE Talents Are Reacting To Hulk Hogan's Return

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry was in attendance for Hulk Hogan's backstage meeting with the roster before Sunday's WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view, according to PWInsider. Henry has been one of the few WWE employees to condemn Hogan's racist comments that were leaked a few years back, leading to his release from the company in 2015. Above is new video of The World's Strongest Man talking to TMZ Sports about The Hulkster being back with the company.

As noted, Hogan was officially reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame on Sunday and the feeling is that he's back with the company but no new deal had been signed as of yesterday. Hogan was said to be well-received by the talents after the meeting backstage, which was reportedly filmed for a WWE Network special. Hogan formally apologized to the talents for his racist comments, for hurting others and for embarrassing the company. He reportedly spent a long time apologizing and was very emotional when shaking hands & hugging the Superstars at the end of the meeting. Hogan reminded everyone to remember to think about what they are saying as there are cameras everywhere these days, and pointed out how they could be recorded without realizing they are being recorded.

Henry said Hogan coming back to the company is a good idea in a low of ways because we can learn from what happened.

"I think it's good in a lot of ways because it's always a learn-able moment, a teachable moment," Henry said. "It teaches forgiveness, it teaches that we can step up from adversity. It also shows, in a time where there's so much racial dive with the government, and different things, different social groups, that there are some people that actually have affinity, and care, and want to redeem themselves. I hope that he can do that."

Henry was also asked if he feels like Hogan is genuine. Henry believe Hogan and commented on critics who say Hogan is in it for the money.

"I do. I do feel like he genuinely wants to clear his name. He sees people that used to respect him, they look at him differently and that hurts," Henry said. "He brought that on himself and he's trying his best to clear that up. I don't know if it's from... you know, some people are going to say he's missing those big checks and he wants to rectify that situation. That's always a factor, we always want to keep our buying power up but I don't think that's the case with him. I think, if he did some appearances where he helped raise money to go to these organizations that need help, in the inner cities and urban sectors, then I think people would be less likely to think it's all just a ploy for him to make more money."

Henry was then asked how the other African American talents in WWE are reacting to the return. He said, "No, it's 50/50. I've talked to guys that are like, 'To hell with him.' And I've had guys that were like, "You know what? If you're willing to make the change and try to help out, and go and speak up, be a part of the answer rather than a part of the problem, then it's all good.'"

Since People Said I shouldn't Slam WWE If I Don't Watch It? Well.. Here You Go.. :)

Because quite a few people have said in the wrestling groups I post in “You don't even watch WWE so how can you say anything about it”.

WWWEEELLL.. Be careful about you ask for...

I was randomly going thru my guide on my cable when I saw there was one more hour left of RAW. SSOO, I decided to see if everything I've ever been saying about how the WWE product sucks is still true. Guess what.. It is.

Rhonda Rousey is supposed to be suspended and entered the ring and started brawling with Alexa Bliss. RAW GM Kurt Angle adds another week to the suspension and rewards her with a title shot at Summerslam.

AAAHHH YEP, Hell of a way to 'put your foot down' on people being thumbing their nose at being suspended, give em a title shot, sure makes all the sense in the world to me (rolls eyes).

Then they show highlights of how WWE is still force feeding Roman Reigns down people's throats with a triple threat match win so he can face someone next week and the winner of that faces Brock Lesner at Summerslam. Drew Galloway, er.. McIntyre would've been a way better choice just based on talent, skill and ability. But hey, when you're steadily force feeding someone nobody really likes down people's throats, why stop with a bad plan and do something else that actually MIGHT make sense, eh? Raise Drew up alittle bit? Na, just keep the force feeding plan going because God forbid change would be good all the way around.

Seth Rollins looked like he was reading his promo from a sheet of paper left on the floor in front of him the way he was looking at the floor for a lot of it. Dull monotone no emotion about possibly facing Reigns one on one next week? I kept reaching for my remote so I could change the channel but had to keep reminding myself that I need to make it thru this one hour, somehow. Hell, have him raise his voice alittle bit, something like “FRIEND OR NO FRIEND ROMAN, IF WE FACE EACH OTHER, WHO WANTS IT MORE, IF WE HAVE TO FACE EACH OTHER THAN YOU'LL FIND OUT, IT'S ME.. WHO WANTS IT MORE.. SO YOU BETTER HOPE TO GOD YOU DON'T HAVE TO FACE ME NEXT WEEK”! Something like that with something resembling ALITTLE BIT of emotions? Guess that's a lot of ask for in the WWE Universe.

I know it's not gonna happen but to at least GIVE some sort of an impression that it could and have some real emotion behind it from one of the competitors is quite the natural thing to do. And this is why I keep saying WWE Creative is 'creatively challenged' Had you put Arn Anderson in that same spot HE, would've given one hell of an emotional driven promo about it compared to this boring shit I just watched.

The Amber Moon match had the fans pretty quiet thru most of it.. I actually had to turn my 32 inch flat screen tv WAY UP in order to hear fans reactions to a lot of it. One look from the hard camera at the first five rows of fans and saw a lot of lack of interest in it. And don't even get me started on the “no selling' in this and triple threat main event (there was some in the triple threat but a lot of times, not really ). Just about any Impact Wrestling match with Allie in it had more 'selling' than in this match. At about this time I was kinda hoping someone like Awesome Kong or Jessika Havoc (I know I know, they don't work there) would come out and just destroy the both of them and be done with it. Kinda like when 911 would come out and choke slam people in the original ECW, I was really hoping for that so I could get alittle inspired by this VERY LONG hour I was enduring.

The commercials for The Equalizer 2 were more entertaining than anything I watched during this hour, that's pretty fucking sad.

Then we have Elisa in the ring with an acoustic guitar singing before his match.. HHMMM, didn't The Rock already do this act, and do it ten times better? Nothing like rehashing an old gimmick, and having the guy doing it instead of the original not do it worse than the original. Kind of like when Chuck Palumbo was basically doing a lame Undertaker American Badass ripoff riding his motorcycle around the ring. Or watching the movie Roadhouse 2 that doesn't have Patrick Swayze in it. Same thing.

The man event had too many false finishes and while some, of the 'selling' was good, it was 30/70 on the selling, 30% good 70% typical WWE brand of no selling. The Bobby Lashley hard edge or convincing bad ass That was in TNA/Impact Wrestling seems to have been white washed thanks to the creative challenged WWE creative and Lashley is smiling, shaking hands with fans? UGH.. I kept looking at my clock wondering “when is this shit going to be over”, that's how well it was going over with me. At least the right guy won with Lashley and Lashley/Lesnar would be the money match for many reasons.

Oh yeah, another thing. If you're going to show Kurt Angle with Paul Heyman watching the show in the back, wouldn't you think, getting a reaction from Heyman after the match would've been the natural thing to do? You spent enough time to point out he's watching with the GM so why not have some sort of reaction afterwards as you're going off the air?

Wait, what was I thinking? It's the WWE where stuff like logic and common sense doesn't make sense when it comes to their shows. If they were throwing oatmeal against a wall to see what would stuck, I can tell you most of this one hour that I watched? Didn't stick. And one last thing, why give Jeff Hardy his rematch for the US title on free tv? He lost it at a PPV why not have the rematch at the PPV? THAT'S proper booking 101. But yes, I am reminded this is WWE and logic is a challenge for them there on a daily basis.

So there you go, I've WATCHED the product and it re-enforces everything I've been saying about it for years. It still sucks ass so NOW nobody can complain about me making fun of it or whining and saying “you don't watch it, you can't judge it'. Guess what I just did and now you're reading the results from that. Happy now?

Imagine if I DID watch the full three hours what kind of review this would've been.. be glad I only suffered an hour of it.

MASA SAITO PASSES AWAY (updated)

Japanese wrestling publication Weekly Pro Wrestling broke the sad news this morning that former AWA World Champion Masa Saito, who had an incredible career that spanned the United States and Japan, passed away due to complications from Parkinson's Disease.  Saito was 76 years old.

Saito first broke into professional wrestling after representing Japan in freestyle wrestling, during the 1964 Summer Olympics, where he placed seventh.  He was broken into the business by Hiro Matsuda and was well known for a very physical style that included lots of suplexes, to the point that one variation of the move (popularized in the United States by Shawn Michaels as his original finisher after turning heel in 1992) has been commonly referred to as the Saito Suplex.  He was a brutish wrestler, who brought hard physicality with his clotheslines  Everything he did looked legitimately painful and he was an excellent in ring performer, 

Saito retired in 1999. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's the following year but still made appearance from time to time, including a convention appearance in Los Angeles where he reunited with Fuji for the last time.

Saito had the most successful long-term career of any Japanese native on the American scene, being a championship-level wrestler in multiple territories from 1968 to 1990. While Giant Baba in the 60s, Great Muta, and now Shinsuke Nakamura were as big or bigger stars, Saito spent the majority of his career in the United States as opposed to a brief version, and was always a headliner as a former Olympian who was a top tier in-ring worker, even with limited English speaking ability.

During most of his career he played the stereotypical salt-throwing Japanese heel, a role mostly played by Hawaiians rather than Japanese wrestlers in the 60s.

Saito was a top level in-ring wrestler, one of the most solid workers in North America during the 70s and well into the 80s, and considered top 10 in the world well into his 40s. He was one of Hulk Hogan's biggest rivals in his AWA heyday.

In 1984, he was voted the Best Technical Wrestler in the world even though he was 42 at the time. He came back after missing two years due to being in prison over a brawl where he injured several police officers in Waukesha, Wisconsin, which in wrestling at the time was viewed as him protecting Ken Patera, his traveling partner.

He was a star in Japan, heavily recognized for his American success. He was also the innovator of one of the biggest finishers, the scorpion deathlock/sharpshooter, which he used first and later transferred to tag team partner Riki Choshu. It was Choshu's success with the move that led to both Bret Hart and Sting using it as their finishers, and now is almost considered the classic finishing move among Canadian wrestlers and even emulated by people like The Young Bucks, who grew up as Bret Hart fans, and Cesaro, who uses it as a tribute to T.J. Wilson.

Saito had a major feud with Antonio Inoki, which was blown off by the legendary Jungle Death Match on October 4, 1987 that went 125:14, the longest match in Japanese history. The setting, a bout with no ring in the jungle, made it impossible to have a good match, but the uniqueness of it was viewed as one of the most legendary matches in the country's history and led to many other location no-ring matches that followed.

Saito was extremely well respected in Japan, and it was wrestlers and reporters from that country who were the key in his being voted into the Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame in 2009.

Saito was a former AWA World Champion, although that was well past the peak of the promotion. But he also held World Tag Team titles twice with Kinji Shibuya, in a legendary early 70s team, and twice with Mr. Fuji in the WWF, as well as with both Choshu and Shinya Hashimoto in Japan.

He had been battling Parkinson's Disease since 2000. One of the key reasons for the "Beast in the East" WWE Network special from Tokyo actually taking place is that Brock Lesnar, who thought so highly of Saito, wanted to visit him with Brad Rheingans, and he coincided it with a WWE Japan tour to do business with it, and with Lesnar's return to Japan, WWE made the show a special.

World Class Wrestling Revolution announced that MTV "Teen Mom" star turned porn star Farrah Abraham has signed with the promotion. The promotion said they want to combine pop culture with pro wrestling. Another porn star, Jesse Jane, has worked for the promotion and is set to return in August. Yeah, I bet he was, LOL! David Arquette Says That He Was Hated Backstage After WCW World Heavyweight Championship Win

After 18 years since his last singles match, actor and former WCW World Heavyweight Champion David Arquette will be returning to the ring to compete against RJ City for the Championship Wrestling from Hollywood promotion. Last time, Arquette was used as a gimmick to further promote the WCW-heavy Ready to Rumble movie. However, Arquette has been intensely training for this match, according to his interview on the Sunday Night's Main Event podcast.

Arquette stated that the motivating factor of him returning to the ring was that, after nearly 20 years, he is still the butt of many jokes on social media when it comes to professional wrestling. The Ready to Rumble star, who turns 47 in September, did state that it was Vince Russo who came up with the idea of him winning the title, which is something that Russo has admitted before. Despite becoming champion, Arquette stated that he was not allowed to have much offense during his matches in WCW, which was a total of four ranging from WCW Nitro on April 24, 2000, to WCW Slamboree on May 7, 2000.

One of those matches occurred on WCW Thunder, which aired on April 26, 2000. After defeating Eric Bischoff on Nitro, Arquette was a part of a tag team match with DDP against Bischoff and Jeff Jarrett. Arquette walked down the ramp and returned to the match battered and bruised, but managed to spear Bischoff while Jarrett simultaneously hit DDP with the WCW title. However, another referee ran to the ring (Kimberly was the guest referee at the time, but was partial) and pinned Bischoff's shoulders to the mat. Arquette then commenced his reign as WCW World Heavyweight Champion.

During his interview with SNME, Arquette revealed that certain wrestlers backstage hated the decision because they were waiting for their opportunity to become champion.

"There was a lot of hatred, and a lot of people got so pissed off," said Arquette. "I remember telling one wrestler, I'm not sure who it was, wasn't Bam Bam Bigelow, but it was someone who hadn't ever been the champion before. And he was just so pissed. I was like I don't know what to say, man. You know, that was my first inkling on how sort of upset people were gonna get.

"And obviously, I get it. These people dedicate their lives, I have nothing but respect for wrestlers. To this day, I haven't taken a dime for wrestling... I get it. I've just been training for a little over a month now, and I get it. I mean, it's painful. It's intense. It takes a ton of hard work. These people go in and out every day working on themselves and working on their craft. So I get it... I always respected the business. I just sort of had an opportunity that I think a lot of people would have made the same decision if they were in that situation. And it's sort of a dream come true for me, so I was like, 'yeah. This is amazing.'"

Arquette said that he is experiencing that more fans are respecting him now that they know that his heart is in the right place when it comes to wrestling. Arquette did not accept any money given to him in WCW, but instead donated it to some pro wrestling families, including the families of Brian Pillman and Darren Drozdov. To show how serious he is with training, Arquette now has a wrestling ring in the back of his yard and he regularly practices. Arquette's last wrestling appearance was being a part of a tag team handicap match in 2010 with Alex Riley in a losing effort against Randy Orton. Arquette received a powerbomb through the table from Orton.

Juice Robinson Says He Was 'Dead In The Water' In NXT

uice Robinson spoke with Uproxx on the differences working in Japan, his NXT character (CJ Parker), and who he'd like to face in WWE. Here are some of the highlights:

How things are different in Japan compared to NXT:

"That's a good question. Well, when I was in NXT, I was kind of like a heel, so I would sell a little differently and be a little goofier, maybe a little more cartoony, when I was being beat up, and now as a babyface in Japan I'm really trying to connect with people. I want them to feel the pain, so it's like I'm not trying to make them laugh, or I don't want them think that what I'm doing is funny. I'm trying to make them forget, and actually think that I'm hurt. Sometimes I actually am. I'm just wrestling a totally different style now based on that alone, babyface and heel… I think being a babyface in WWE might be one of the hardest things in wrestling right now. Holy cow. I mean, Roman Reigns, he's excellent, but... no, I couldn't do it."

Having negative feelings about NXT, being a heel with them:

"You know, I loved NXT. Just, I just knew I was dead in the water, so I had to get out. So it wasn't that it was bad, it was I turned it bad because I got sad. You know what I mean? So what was happening to me on a daily basis… it wasn't like I was going home every night and crying in my room. I was still having fun and getting along with the coaches and the guys, and having fun at shows and stuff, but I just knew that CJ Parker was never going anywhere, so then I started to have negative feelings… just the whole thing, just my life, so I had to make a change, and now everything's great. But yeah, NXT was fun. It's a lot of fun. You work real hard there… For a while there it seemed like anytime we were… trying to lighten the mood, it was like, 'Hey, get back in line!' It was a little militant there for a while, and everybody knows about that. But they've got a good guy there now, and everything's really – I think it's fun again. It's good to hear. But I'm having more fun, so, haha."

Who he would like to face in WWE:

"Right now? Okay, this is fun. God, there's about twenty-five I'd want to wrestle right now. They're all really good. I think I'd want to wrestle Braun – however they call him now, Braun Stowman or Braun Strowman. I want to wrestle him at Korakuen Hall, him as a bad guy, me as a good guy, hopefully. That match. I want to do that match. That would be awesome. Because he's so damn good at things that he doesn't even know he's good at, and that's what I love about watching him. You can see he's still green, but, man, he's really good at some s--t that some people never figure out. You know what I mean?

"Same with Brock Lesnar. I love watching those guys… Brock Lesnar could do anything at any second. He could grab a guy and just slam him through the f*ckin' ring, through the floor, you know what I mean? Anything could happen with Brock Lesnar… He has this unpredictability about him, and I feel the same way about Braun Strowman. He could do anything… it's awesome. So him, and then I've got to wrestle Seth [Rollins], obviously. And, f--k, Kevin [Owens], but I would love to get beat up by the Revival in a tag match too. That would be awesome. That would be great … Tagging with Roman Reigns would be cool."
