Ring of Honor is pleased to announce that seven-time former world champion Angelina Love of The Allure has signed a new contract to remain with the company.
Love, who is nearing her 20th anniversary in professional wrestling, continues to perform at a high level. Since joining ROH last year, Love has been a valuable addition to the women’s division because of her recognizability and experience.

WWE announced this morning on the Bump that they will be holding a tournament to Crown a new interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion as Jordan Devlin is in Great Britain and unable to travel to the United States to defend the championship
Devlin took to Twitter after the announcement and said this was a disrespectful decision by WWE officials.
"First things first, absolutely shocking and disrespectful decision by @WWE management. Secondly, you can crown a fraud champion and give him a little replica of my title, but everyone around the world knows who the REAL NXT Cruiserweight Champion still is," Devlin wrote.

WWE star Jeff Hardy's scheduled court appearance in Moore County Court in North Carolina today regarding his October 2019 arrest for Driving While Impaired has been pushed back to Monday 5/11.
Hardy was arrested the evening of Thursday 10/3/19 in Moore County, North Carolina. The police report for the arrest notes that authorities received a tip about a careless driver around 8:40 PM that evening. Authorities located Hardy's car in front of a liquor store and he emerged carrying a case of beer. Authorities followed the car and pulled him over after they "observed him weaving badly in his lane."
Hardy had "what seemed to be dried blood on his nose", according to the police report and told officers that he and his wife "got into a fight." The police report stated that Hardy admitted to having two shots of vodka and admitted to being impaired. Hardy failed a field sobriety test and according to the report, he was "was uncooperative when asked for a breathalyzer or blood sample." A judge signed off on a search warrant, allowing officers to extract a blood sample from Hardy.
Hardy's driver's license has been revoked pending the resolution of the case..
Hardy had not been on the road with WWE as he was recovering from a leg injury at the time. During an March appearance on WWE Backstage, Hardy acknowledged his personal problems, publicly disclosing that he went to an in-patient rehabiliation program, something that WWE had suggested after Hardy's arrest for DWI last October in North Carolina. As previously reported, WWE had pushed Hardy to address his health and were very happy that Hardy strongly did so. Hardy noted that going through the program was one of the best things he's ever done for himself.
Hardy returned to the ring on the 3/13 edition of Smackdown, wrestling King Corbin, but has not appeared for WWE since the company began using a smaller crew at WWE Performance Center TV tapings in Orlando stemming from the coronavirus pandemic:

TEDDY HART RELEASED FROM JAIL
Edward "Teddy Hart" Annis was released from Richmond City Jail in Virginia this afternoon. Records indicate that he was released following a court order.
Hart was arrested on Thursday afternoon 3/26, his third arrest in six weeks in the State of Virginia. The victim in the case was named publicly as Manic, who Hart had been dating off and on for several months. Prior to Hart being arrested yesterday, Virginia-based independent wrestler Ace Montana posted a video on his Facebook page where he exits a house, telling someone (believed to be Manic) to lock the door behind him. After exiting the house, he confronts Hart, warning him that the police have been called and that "she would be pressing charges" while threatening Hart that he needed to leave. In the video, Hart denied ever touching Manic before heeding Montana's orders and leaving the immediate premises.
Montana wrote the following blurb for the video: "I literally had to pull my gun on #Teddyhart ?? and throw him out of my friends house?. This piece of sh** literally choked out and physically assaulted Maria Manic and would not let her get help. she texted me I’m in danger never ever did I think I would meet a piece of sh** like this guy who has now been arrested with a felony against him. I don’t think this guy knew how close to death he was. #f***youteddyheart This video is me kick[ing] him out before the cops came and arrested him???."
Manic came out publicly to state that she does not wish to file charges against Hart and that she feels the entire situation has been blown out of proportion. It may be that led to his release.
Hart had initially been held without bail in advance of a June court date.

TRIAL DATE SET IN DEATH OF INDEPENDENT WRESTLER MATT TRAVIS
Luc C. Vu, the man arrested following the death New York City independent wrestler Matt "Travis" Palacios, is set to go to trial before New York Criminal Court on 4/2. Vu was been charged with reckless driving, failure to yield to a bicyclist, failure to obey a traffic device, driving left of pavement marking and failure to exercise due care in December 2019.
Palacios was struck while traveling on a bike path in East Harlem about 2:30 AM on Saturday 11/9/19 when a dump truck driver made an illegal left u-turn to get onto the Willis Avenue Bridge. Travis was struck and although rushed to the hospital, suffered serious trauma and was pronounced dead when he arrived. It is not clear whether Vu was aware he struck Travis. Vu was driving for D&A Contracting, which fired him upon learning of his arrest.
Travis, who was returning home from professional wrestling training when he was struck, was only 25 years old. He had been wrestling regularly for House of Glory, CZW and other promotions in the Northeast at the time of his death.

Update On Van Hammer And His Upcoming Court Date
A pre-trial hearing in the criminal case against former WCW star Mark "Van Hammer" Hildreth was pushed back to 4/30 at 9 AM before Florida's Palm Beach County Court. Hildreth previously waived his right to a speedy trial.
Hildreth, 60 years old was arrested on Sunday 1/26 and charged with driving under the influence in Boynton Beach, Florida (where he resides) following an incident where Hildreth's car struck a five-year old boy who was riding a bicycle, throwing the boy atop Hildreth's car's hood, according to local police. The young boy was admitted as a trauma patient with possible internal injuries and "road rash."
According to the police report, Hildreth was driving driving near south Seacrest Boulevard and Southeast 34th Avenue when Hildreth's car struck the boy, who was riding his bicycle with his father. Hildreth allegedly got out of the car, stated the boy jumped out in front of him, then drove away. Another witness followed Hildreth to his home and identified him to police. The police report notes that Hildreth smelled of alcohol and refused to take a breathalyzer, leading to his arrest.
Hildreth was estimated to be doing 58 in a 35 mph zone, according to The Washington Times. He clipped the boy when his bicycle veered into the street. Eric Tilghman, an industrial door-installer who lives nearby, told the Times News he was driving with a friend Sunday when he saw the car strike the child. “The father picked up the son off the road The kid was crying. The dad was crying. The guy was out of the car.” Tilghman said, Then, he said, “I’m looking at the guy and he’s getting back in the car. We’re yelling at him, ‘Don’t you leave. Don’t you leave!’ ” Tilghman follow Hildreth after he left the scene of the crash, taking photos and following him home. Hildreth was taken into custody after being found sitting on his front steps.
Hildreth has been charged with felony hit and run with failure to stop in a crash involving others and serious bodily injuries, DUI with injuries to another person and leaving the scene of an injury crash. He has plead not guilty to all charged.
During a January hearing, it was noted Hildreth had two previous DUIs in the past, one in Texas in 1985 and one in Georgia in 2004. Hildreth was ordered not to have contact with the victim or any potential witnesses, to make himself available to random testing for drugs and alcohol and that he not use any alcohol or drugs nor carry any illegal weapons on his person:

Backstage News On Where AEW Has Been Filming Television (Now They Have To Relocate)
It looks as though All Elite Wrestling will once again need to find a location to tape Dark and Dynamite. AEW has been filming television at the Nightmare Factory in Norcross, Georgia, which will be shut down temporarily due to a shelter-in-place order signed by Governor Brian Kemp. During a press conference on Wednesday, Kemp stated that he just learned that asymptomatic people can transmit COVID-19.
"Finding out that this virus is now transmitting before people see signs, so what we've been telling people from directives from the CDC for weeks now that if you start feeling bad, stay home," Kemp said. "Those individuals could've been infecting people before they ever felt bad, but we didn't know that until the last 24 hours. And as Dr. [Kathleen] Toomey told me, this is a game changer for us."
"A lot" of future content was filmed in Georgia this past week, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio. This will allow AEW the time to regather and plan their next move while airing the footage they have already produced.
As noted earlier this week, AEW previously had to relocate from Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The city of Jacksonville had began using the parking lot near Daily's Place as a major coronavirus testing center.

AJPW CANCELS CHAMPION CARNIVAL TOURNAMENT
All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Champion Carnival tournament will not go on as scheduled.
It was announced today that the tournament will not be taking place in April due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It was scheduled to start on April 6 at Korakuen Hall, with the finals taking place on May 5 at the same arena.
The president of AJPW, Tsuyoki Fukuda, said in the press conference announcing the cancellation that he will "make every possible effort" to run the tournament this year.
Before the cancellation, a number of changes were already being made due to the fast moving nature of the pandemic. Davey Boy Smith Jr., Lucas Steel, and Joel Redman were all previously announced for the tournament. However, they were pulled following travel restrictions imposed by the Japanese government.
