This friendship has quickly turned into a rivalry since Marty Scurll first swerved Nick Aldis when challenging for a shot at Ten Pounds of Gold at Crockett Cup. The last time these two men faced off, it got physical between The NWA Worlds Champion and The Villain.
After the G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden, things haven gotten tense and the Villain Marty Scurll showed up at the Ring of Honor Wrestling Pittsburgh event wanting to fight for the NWA Championship right there and then. What happened next might have just broken their friendship.

WWE OBTAINS FEDERAL INJUNCTION ALLOWING CONFISCATION OF COUNTERFEIT MERCHANDISE
World Wrestling Entertainment successfully obtained an injunction order in the United States District Court of New Jersey on 4/15 in order to prevent distribution and sale of counterfeit items bearing the WWE name or any of its trademarks and copyrights over the next year. The order would also allow WWE and local authorities to confiscate any counterfeit items found being sold by bootleggers. WWE.
The injunction noted that counterfeit merchandise was found being sold on the grounds of MetLife Stadium on 4/7 for Wrestlemania 35 and it was expected that such illegal sales would continue over the next year within a three-mile radius of WWE's live events.
The Court ruled, "(a) WWE is likely to succeed in showing that Defendants have used counterfeit or infringing marks in connection with the sale, offering for sale or distribution of goods or services; (b) WWE will suffer immediate and irreparable injury and will have no adequate remedy at law if this Court declines to grant a preliminary injunction and order of seizure; (c) the harm to WWE should this Court not grant the requested preliminary injunction and order of seizure clearly outweighs any harm which Defendants might incur if the preliminary injunction and order of seizure is granted; (d) the public interest is served with the issuance of the preliminary injunction and order of seizure."
The injunction ordered that "Federal, state, and local law enforcement officers are hereby authorized and directed to seize any and all Counterfeit Merchandise and any records documenting the manufacture, sale or receipt of the Counterfeit Merchandise, in the possession, dominion or control of Defendants, their agents or persons acting in concert or participation with them. All seized items shall be delivered up to the care and custody of Plaintiff or Plaintiff’s attorneys pending further instructions from the Court. The seized goods shall be kept in identifiable containers."
Anyone caught selling WWE merchandise has been ordered to provide their correct name and address, to appear before the court to defend themselves and to provide all details on any additional material they know is being sold.
WWE filed an injunction bond in the amount of $10,000 and the order will remain in effect until March 2020, at which point WWE will likely pursue a similar order in Florida, where Wrestlemania 36 will be held. WWE annually attempts to obtain such injunctions to attempt to slow the tide of counterfeit merchandise featuring their performers, copyrights and trademarks.
LAST EVER EVENT AT NASHVILLE FAIRGROUNDS ARENA
Tommy Dreamer’s House of Hardcore will present what is being billed as the final event ever held in the Nashville Fairground Arena (aka the TNA Asylum) as that building will be torn down as part of upgrades being made to the fairgrounds on Saturday 6/1. Officially announced for that event today was WWE Hall of Famers, The Rock N' Roll Express vs. SCU's Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian.
Previously announced for the event are Dreamer, Bill Dundee, HOH TV Champion Willie Mack, an FBI reunion featuring Little Guido & Tracy Smothers, Swoggle, Jax Dane and Crimson.
The promotion will return to Philadelphia on Saturday 6/8 at the 2300 Arena with Dreamer, Swann, Guido, Teddy Hart, Joey Ryan, Billy Gunn and more. Sunday 6/9, HOH will return to St. James, Long Island NY with Dreamer, Swann, Guido, Hart, Ryan, Gunn and more.
On Saturday 6/15, House of Hardcore will run a charity event in conjunction with Chinlock Wrestling in Kingston, Ontario with a convention followed by a HOH event.

How Much Money Are WWE Developmental Talents Paid?
New WWE talents that are signed to developmental contracts are paid on average $50,000 to $150,000 per year, according to the new WWE feature in Sports Business Journal. The average pay for developmental talents is around $80,000 per year.
It was also noted that talent salaries can climb into the seven figures if they make it to the top of the company on RAW or SmackDown.
Triple H spoke with SBJ and said talents are taught technique, timing, camera awareness and presence, and how to avoid injury once signed.(More like the 'WWE Way" of how they do it).
"It's the emotional storytelling," Triple H said. "We are way more akin to 'Rocky' the movie than boxing, from the shooting and production of it." (That's laughable since the 'storytelling' of the main roster is pathetic at best, and all promos are written for the performers. HHH needs to stop lying like this).
How Bad Is It For Impact Being On The Pursuit Channel? Here's A Great Example.
Since it’s been a couple of months, I just want to point out how bad it is that The Pursuit Channel, which is partially OWNED by Anthem, still has yet to be able to correct their cable and satellite guide listings to properly show that Impact Wrestling is a two-hour series. We continue to receive complaints about the issue from readers with different providers and again, this week, on my own provider, Sprectrum (Charter), doesn't even have the channel listed,another provider, Verizon Fios, the series is listed for 30 minutes with 3 replays, which means that if you don’t add time to your DVR (or pay attention enough to care), you'll end up with 30 minutes and nothing more of the show. I know that Impact management has been well aware of the issue and the channel is slow to respond to requests, but at this point, it’s beyond terrible that nothing has been fixed. I feel bad for the company as they obviously aren’t getting the proper support from a network that shares the same parent company ownership.
But they chose this because really, no other channel wanted them so this is how bad it's gotten, and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better any time soon.

PPW High Voltage - March 31, 2019 - Rich Swann vs. KC Navarro vs. Desean Pratt
PPW is in the middle of Super Show season and High Voltage is no different. This week's Main Event features the returning TNA X-Division Champion Rich Swann as he takes on KC Navarro and Desean Pratt in a match that some are calling PPW Match of the Year worthy. Pratt and Navarro haven't been on the same page lately and it's blown up into full out competition between the two. The match is incredible and a must-watch.
Elsewhere, the No Limits Championship was won recently by Charles Mason after he snuck a victory out in the PPW Battle Royal from Laszlo who had thought he'd won the title. Mason popped out from under the ring to dump him over the top and claim the prize.
Evander James seems to have a change of pace on the way he views things. He gives a heart felt apology to the fans of Hazleton for his misguided ways, then proceeds to have PPW Commissioner TJ Masters come out and challenge Evander with his representative – Adam Chandler.

Surprise Challenger Before Crockett Cup for Ten Pounds of Gold
This past weekend at Ring of Honor Wrestling's Masters of Craft event in Columbus Ohio, the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis was on commentary to discuss his match at Crockett Cup vs. Marty Scurll.

Triple H's comments on All Elite Wrestling were edited out of the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony replay, including the one-hour USA Network special that aired last Monday and this Monday.

As noted before, Triple H took shots at AEW during the induction for DX earlier this month. While joking around about being corporate now, The Game said apparently these days if you put the "EVP" title in front of someone, it makes them feel important. AEW's Executive Vice Presidents include Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.
Triple H then called AEW a "piss-ant" company after DX joked around about not being able to name Vince McMahon during their speech. Billy Gunn said Vince couldn't fire him anymore, a reference to Gunn working for AEW. The Gunn joke led to fans in the audience doing an "AEW" chant. Triple H responded, "Billy, let's be honest. He would buy that piss-ant company just to fire you again."
Everyone laughed at that reference and another line from WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. When joking about always counting on Gunn to under-deliver, Michaels said, "You can always count on 'ol Billy Gunn to over-promise and under-deliver. We thank you for being out here and being 'All In'."

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER TBI INVESTIGATION CONCLUDES
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed toseveralo sources that they have concluded their investigation in the July 2018 death of former WWE star Brian "Christopher" Lawler last year while incarcerated following an arrest for DUI.
"Our investigation has concluded and all findings have been turned over to District Attorney General Mark Davidson. I will have to refer any questions to his office," TBI's Keli McAlister told different outlets. inquries to Davidson's office by various news sources have not yet received a replay.
Attorneys representing Jerry Lawler and the estate of his son Brian Lawler filing subpoenas demanding the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and The Hardeman County Sheriff's Office provide them with information on the ongoing investigation into Brian passing back in Janauary The TBI investigation was opened the same day Lawler passed away after being taken off life support after he allegedly hung himself while incarcerated in Bolivar, TN.
“We were tired of waiting. This family has waited for over six months for the Hardeman County Sheriff Department to provide them with detailed explanation and the documentation as to what happened to their son and we decided to take the into our own hands,” Attorney Jeff Rosenblum told Memphis ABC affiliate channel 24 back in January.
In August 2018, Jerry Lawler explained why he did not believe his son killed himself in an interview with WMC-TV, explaining that his family was told that Brian hung himself with his shoelaces, but photos taken of Brian at the hospital show marks on the sides of his neck but not the front of his throat. Lawler explained that the area that did not feature any marks would be the size of his son’s hand, which leads him to believe Brian was trying to use his hand to try and “keep the pressure” off his throat.
"We've received literally countless calls, text messages from people, actual eyewitnesses, that were in the jail and saw things that happened on the actual day that Brian died that now has opened up a new can of worms," Lawler told WMC-TV in January. "It just doesn't seem like it was suicide."
Lawler said the same day his son allegedly took his life, they had spoken that morning via the telephone at 11 AM and Brian “talked perfectly normal, perfectly rational." Later, Lawler's fiancée received a phone call around 2 PM informing them Brian had been in a fight with another inmate, even though he was supposed to have been kept away from other prisoners. Lawler stated that his son had requested medical attention as he was bleeding from the head but “apparently” did not receive it and several hours later, was found dead in his cell. Lawler stated that the Sheriff had previously given him personal assurances that Brian would be OK while incarcerated. Lawler also alleged that twenty security cameras in the County Jail were not operating the day his son died.
While the official, announced cause of Brian Lawler's death is suicide by hanging, Jerry Lawler commented that “doesn't pass the smell test” and promised in 2018 that he was not going to stop pursuing the issue until he had answers. Lawler also stated that Brian's fellow inmates have told him they don't think his death was suicide, and there's still no medical examiner's report.
The TBI and The Hardeman's Sherriff's office were told in January they needed to provide information to the Lawler family and estate by February 26th.
With the investigation turned over to the District Attorney's office, there is no word if or when the findings of the investigation will be made public.
LUKE HARPER REQUESTS WWE RELEASE
Former WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champion Luke Harper disclosed via Twitter this afternoon that he has requested a release from World Wrestling Entertainment.
His complete tweet reads:
"As of this evening, I have requested a release from WWE. The past 6 years have been a simply, amazing journey around the world and back with lifelong friends and family. I am proud of it all and proud to say I shared the ring with my co-workers.
This decision, as difficult as it was, feels right for myself and WWE. My goal in the future is to continue to grow as a performer and person and continue to make my family proud.

Women Of Honor Star Is Now A Free Agent
On her social media accounts, Tenille Dashwood announced she is now a free agent, writing "Free agent. Happy, healthy, & healed." Dashwood's ROH contract ended this month and it's unclear at the moment if she'll be re-signing with the promotion. Dashwood was initially placed in the Lifeblood stable, so it remains to be seen if that connection will continue or not.
Dashwood has been out of action for the past six months after undergoing shoulder surgery for dislocated and torn labrum. The former WWE Star also dealt with a full body flare up from the autoimmune disease, psoriasis.
Back in January, Dashwood commented about her health.
"Sometimes you really do have to take a step backwards (or many) to move forwards! I've spent the past few months focusing on being happy and healthy! I spent time with my family and friends and traveled. These things make me happy! I've rehabbed my shoulder diligently & implemented new eating habits (with a few exceptions over the holidays) to get my skin condition (psoriasis) & health better. Now look at me! Almost fully healed through diet!"
TALENTS CONFIRMED FOR THIS WEEK'S AAA PRESS CONFERENCE AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
Blue Demon Jr., Konnan, Pentagón Jr., Rey Fénix, Drago, Aerostar, Puma King, Taya Valkyrie and Daga are scheduled for this Thursday's AAA press conference this Thursday 4/4 at Madison Square Garden. We are told that additional talents will also be appearing.
A press advisory issued regarding the conference noted AAA was coming to the United States in September 2019 and that the conference would include an opportunity for "AAA’s top executive [to] share his vision for Lucha Libre’s next chapter."
One would expect this press conference would reveal a debut date for AAA running MSG later in the year, potentially in partnership with All Elite Wrestling.
AAA ran the Theater in Madison Square Garden (now known as the Hulu Theater) in July 1994, headlined by Konnan & Cien Caras & Perro Aguayo vs. Eddie Guerrero & Art Barr & Jake Roberts.

At last night's RISE Legendary event, Kylie Rae defeated Mercedes Martinez for the Phoenix of RISE Championship.
After the match she was challenged by Zoe Lucas and attacked by another group of wrestlers. Brandi Rhodes, Britt Baker, and Nyla Rose would come out to make the save for Rae. The group would also be joined in the ring by fellow AEW wrestlers, Allie (aka Cherry Bomb) and Penelope Ford, to close out the show.
