Insights On Changes Coming To NXT And Why Fans Should've Seen This Coming

By Bill M. Walkowitz

In an interview with BT Sport Nick Khan mentioned the changes that will be coming to NXT in a few weeks. Needless to say, the "NXT marks" are in an uproar, especially since comes on the heels of several NXT wrestlers losing their jobs at WWE.

Why are the "NXT Marks" crying about it? You 'knew' that sooner or later this was coming, Vince McMahon HAS to have his hands on everything when it comes to WWE and while it's a proven fact that every time McMahon touches something he usually fucks it up, you "marks" should've known this was inevitable. He can't stay away from something that in its own way was a well proven formula WITHOUT Vince putting his hands on it. Every time WWE has something "good" they find a will and a way to screw it up.

"HHEEYY, THIS is working, we can't have this continuing, WE'LL just have to do something about it to change this".

That always seems to be the logic and mentality within the WWE Universe. if it works, then go and screw it up. And now? You're about to see that same proven logic performed on NXT.

But there's other insights on this that I'm going to address that no other dirt sheet or wrestling news site writer will put the time, energy and effort in TO address.

Let's go into some of what ol Mr. Khan said in this interview, shall we? Let's...

“We are doing a complete revamp on NXT, led by Triple H, who is really one of the architects of the original NXT,” Khan revealed. “What we found — it’s part of why we did the tryout yesterday — what we want to make sure is easy for folks who want to be WWE Superstars, is figuring out how to become WWE Superstars.”

UUMM, isn't the the purpose of the Performance Center? DDUUHH!! People go there or get there because THEY, want to BE "WWE Superstars", dumb ass.

What, you think want to go thru the Performance Center just so they can turn around and go wrestle for say, Impact? NNOO jackass, they want to be part of the WWE Universe, that's WHY, they're there.

Here's another one of ol Nickyboy's quotes that I'm gonna easily shoot holes thru.

“In terms of an NXT re-brand, look for it in the next couple of weeks. It’s going to have a whole new look, it’s going to have a whole new feel — and we believe — because of a lot of the indie wrestlers, if you will, have come through our system and are in our system with SmackDown and RAW now. We don’t want to just keep doing that same thing, we want to look elsewhere for great, young talent".

PPPSSST, PPSST PPSST, PPPSSSSST.. WHO do you think has hired these 'indie wrestlers' you've had go their your system? The very guy who signs YOUR paycheck. If you think there's a 'problem' with having so many 'indie wrestlers' in your system, then why don't you look at the guy who hired them all, dummy.

It's not having 'indie wrestlers' in your system that's been the problem, it's your fucking creative department that saddles these guys with weak, lame name changes. Gimmicks that wouldn't get over even on Fantasy Island, and then you have writers scripting promos that are so lackluster that after they make the guys MEMORIZE these said promos, you wonder why it's not connecting with fans.

Those in charge of the creatively challenged creative department always use the scapegoat or copout of blaming the wrestler instead of looking at the shit, they ahem (cough cough) 'created'.

Of course, you don't wanna look at THAT obvious fact, do you Nick. No balls for that, eh? Yeah, many didn't think so.

The 'system' of wrestlers "paying their dues" to work their up and into a major company has been done for seemingly forever. What you with the indie wrestlers working for various indie companies until they get noticed or send in a video goes back to when there were wrestling territories. Today's indie companies are like this generation's 'territories' and here's examples of how old this time proven formula has worked.

Ric Flair.. Got trained in Verne Gagne's wrestling camp, broke in and payed his dues for Gagne before going on to Jim Crockett's Mid-Atlantic area where he, what? PAID HIS DUES, worked his way up to become one of the most well known professional wrestlers, ever.

Sgt. Slaughter? same thing. Trained in Gagne's camp, broke in with Gagne's AWA, becoming an original member of the Super destroyers managed by Lord Alfred Hayes, then went to the NWA and became a star there before first signing with the WWF in 1980.

Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Undertaker, Steve Austin, the list can go on and on on how they did same kind of thing. With the independent groups it's the same thing as most of the WWE's roster came from guys who honed their skills and paid their dues on the indie scene. Cena, Batista, Newly crowned (again) NXT champion Samoa Joe ALL worked indie groups before they got signed to WWE Developmental system and went to the, what? Oh yeah that's right... Went to the INDIE GROUPS that WWE had under their developmental system.

Can you tell that Nick Khan has no fucking clue ABOUT a 'system" he said going to go thru changes?

But he says they want to look 'elsewhere to find their next "WWE Superstars".. Where you gonna look, the local grocery store in Stamford?

Changing the "look, the production of the show, everything" won't cover up the one glaring fact that Nick Khan doesn't have the balls to address with McMahon. And that's that the creative department in the WWE sucks ass. Plain and simple, cut and dry, that's a fact that nobody in the WWE has the guts to admit.

Plus add to all this that no matter what changes are made in NXT, the other glowing fact that Khan won't have the balls to address to Vince is, once NXT wrestlers get to the main roster, Vince gets his hands on them and totally fucks up all the momentum they built up while they were IN, NXT.

The fact he fucked them up, and they left or were released and they went on to get greater fame in other companies, is proof that everything I've said is absolutely 100% correct. I also said back when NXT was first formed that sooner or later Vince wouldn't be able to control himself and get involved with it.

GGEEE, guess who's prediction has come to pass. Makes you go, HHMMM that I knew this BACK THEN, and "Marks" are NOW crying and whining about it.

You can go as far back as to when Vince's creative department saddled the late Dick Slater with "The Rebel" gimmick. Lame as hell, didn't get over and that's just one example as you can put WWE's feud with the NWA, their version of ECW and all the cookie cutter stupid gimmicks they've churned out since the late 80's as the never ending example of how creatively challenged the creative depart continues to be.

So get ready NXT "Marks", Vince's vision is gonna make what you came to love? What're you're going to hate.

How soon will it be be has Nick Khan do the very same thing with NXT UK?

Trust me, THAT'S coming too, you'll see and when it does? You can come and tell me how I was in predicting that, just like I predicted this.

But that's the WWE for you, whenever they have something that's good in their fans eyes and "works"? they have t go and fuck it up. If ain't broken don't fix it.

But in the logic and mentality of WWE? Oh wait, there is no logic and common sense there. There's logic and common sense in the real world?

And Then.. There's the "WWE Universe".

I'm glad the WWE created a product so bad that every time I try to watch it, they remind me why I DON'T watch it. Because I'd probably be as pissed as the fans of NXT are right about now. So thank you WWE, thank you Vince McMahon for putting out a product that isn't geared to a fan like me. Because I now don't have t be angry and upset that you're once again, fucking up a good thing.

But I guess if you're gonna be consistent in something, be consistent in doing that, eh?
