Chris Jericho Calls WWE NXT The "Minor Leagues", Says He's Never Heard Of Their Wrestlers

One of the #1 contender's for the AEW World Championship, Chris Jericho, recently gave his thoughts to Hollywoodlife.com about the upcoming Wednesday Night War between AEW and WWE NXT. As noted, the two programs will each begin airing Wednesday nights this fall in a head-to-head ratings competition.
"I am not at war with anyone at NXT," Jericho said. "Why would you start a war with some minor leagues? I think we [AEW] are doing what we are doing on Wednesday night and WWE decided to counter-program with NXT. There is no war for me at all because there is not one guy on that show that I have ever heard of before, and that is not being snobby – it's just that I don't watch NXT. So, if you want to watch NXT, that is fine. If you want to watch AEW, that is fine as well. But it is certainly not a war on our part, because we have been doing great on our own, selling out shows and selling 10,000 tickets in five minutes without any type of war or competition."
Ultimately, "Y2J" believes that the constant press between the two sides going to battle on Wednesday nights will be a benefit to AEW's ratings. Jericho, of course, has experience on the subject after being a part of both WCW and WWE when the two companies were battling for supremacy during the late 90s and early 2000s.
"I think this just adds more eyeballs onto us. The one thing I learned when I was in WCW is the worst thing you can do is worry about your competition; worry about what you are doing and clean your house and make sure your own s--t is going good," Chris explained. "That is what we are doing, and we are not worrying about whatever anyone else is doing. I mean, you can put on a Happy Days reunion show on a Wednesday night — you could put on anything, and to me, we are going to continue doing what we do and that is put on a great product and give an alternative to what people have expected, what the norm of what pro wrestling is. We are going to change that, and we are going to have to try to do something different. If we didn't, there is no reason to get into it. You don't want to be a copy of anything. You want to be your own entity and live in your own universe, and that is what we plan on doing!"
Jericho is convinced that his presence in AEW was pivotal for the company to gain the same exposure it did when it first debuted earlier this year. Now, he hopes to be a bridge that links fans of his work and the WWE product to the best performers AEW has to offer.
"It is great to be in this position and whether I win or I don't, one of the reasons why it was so important and integral to sign Chris Jericho to AEW was to provide a face and a name that everyone knows," Jericho said. "You got a lot of talented guys in that locker room but a lot of them don't have the worldwide television name value that I have. So it was so important to get me involved, to kind of build a bridge between those fans that know who Jericho is but don't really know what AEW is.
"Once you watch AEW, then you are going to know who Kenny Omega is, and Adam Page, and The Young Bucks, and MJF, and all these other guys," Chris continued. "I think it will blow people's minds because people will be like, 'Who are these guys that no one heard of before?' It is like they are ten-year overnight sensations because all of them have been big stars around the world, just not on a national basis in the United States. So, I am really looking forward to blowing people's minds!"

WWE Network News Admits I'm Correct About "Hidden Gems' Not Really Hidden If They're On YouTube

Well it finally happened.. WWE Network news finally came out on Twitter and admitted i was right.. That Hidden gems can't really be 'hidden' if they can be found on YouTube.. They did try to play it off as well claiming superior version and all that, which totally is another attempt by them to avoid the very point I've been making for months now.. That if it's on YouTube or Dailymotion? it's not 'hidden'.

I mean here's the examples of me showing it, over and over..

And this..

And this..

Let's not forget this one either... :)

And of course, this... The most recent example which finally got WWE Network news to admit I was right..

There's more but you get the idea.. And here's the admission from WWE Network news..

Then they tried this one...

But.. LOOKIE LOOKIE HERE...

Do the match and it's right at where they're at, 4,000 viewers.. So they kicked themself in the ass with that.

Nothing more... needs to be said. :)

Killer Kross Makes His AAW Debut | AAW Pro

They went ALL IN | NWA Ten Pounds Of Gold Unfiltered

if you've watched #TenPoundsOfGold since it's debut in 2017, you've been taken into the lives and careers of the men wrestling for and holding the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. It's what brought this special unfiltered edition of Ten Pounds Of Gold with Nick Aldis vs. Cody Rhodes. The most talked about match for Ten Pounds of Gold took place at ALL IN 2018. Before the show let out, the match everyone felt emotionally was that of Cody Rhodes and Nick Aldis for most historic and richest prize in professional wrestling.

This series of matches spanned not only the ALL IN event but the NWA 70. The question of if there will ever be a 3rd match still hangs as Cody now wrestles and is an executive for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and they have their event AEW ALL OUT this weekend. If you're new to the National Wrestling Alliance and this series, make sure to sign up for the email news letter to get all the updates for The NWA's return to TV on Sept 30 and October 1 in Atlanta, GA.

Impact Working To Get Star As Surprise Entrant For AEW All Out's Casino Battle Royale (So Much For The "Surprise", LOL!)

Once Sports Illustrated let the cat out of the bag, the 'surprise' factor is long gone, LMAO!

Impact Wrestling is working on a deal with AEW according to Sports Illustrated, to get Tenille Dashwood as a surprise entrant for the Casino Battle Royale match at AEW All Out.
Tomorrow's 21-woman Battle Royale match will air during "The Buy In" preshow. So far there are 12 confirmed spots, Shazza McKenzie, Awesome Kong, Brandi Rhodes, Allie, Yuka Sakazaki, Britt Baker, Nyla Rose, Jazz, Ivelisse, Teal Piper, Big Swole, and Sadie Gibbs.
Whoever wins the Casino Battle Royale match will become the first contender for the inaugural AEW Women's Championship.
The AEW All Out pay-per-view is tomorrow, August 31 at the Sears Centre Arena near Chicago.

IMPACT WRESTLING PARTNERING WITH AAA (Rolls Eyes.. (I Guess I'm The Only One Who Sees What I see)

SSOO.. The company who can't get a 'real' TV deal if their lives depended on it(Impact)... Are now partnering with the company whose ticket sales sucked so bad they had to move their show.. OUT.. of Madison Square Garden..(AAA)..

I guess I'm the only one who sees a ton of humor in this.. But here's the actual story for you none the less.

AAA and Impact Wrestling are partnering together for AAA's show in New York City.
In a press release that was issued today, it was announced that AAA has engaged Impact to "promote the LUCHA INVADES NY event to be held in the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden on the eve of Mexican Independence Day, Sunday, Sept. 15, at 6:00 p.m. ET."
“IMPACT Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA have been strong partners for many years and this event marks a significant milestone in our collaboration to bring fans dream matches featuring the best international talent from both organizations,” Impact Wrestling president and Anthem Sports & Entertainment chief corporate officer Ed Nordholm said.
Lucha Invades NY was originally supposed to take place at Madison Square Garden but was moved to the smaller Hulu Theater at MSG.
Impact's Tessa Blanchard holds the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship and will defend the title against Taya Valkyrie (who is Impact's Knockouts Champion) at Lucha Invades NY. Blue Demon Jr. vs. Dr. Wagner Jr. has also been announced for the show.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez will be in action at Lucha Invades NY. He made his professional wrestling debut at Triplemania XXVII earlier this month.
Impact and AAA's press release stated that "In addition to IMPACT Wrestling stars taking part in the event, FN Originals (Fight Network’s original production department) will be on-site producing a behind-the-scenes Diary documentary episode on Velasquez. LUCHA INVADES NY will also be broadcast in the U.S. and abroad on Fight Network and other broadcast properties owned by Anthem Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of IMPACT Wrestling, which will also provide marketing and logistical support for the event through its various media assets."
Anthem can't even market a good TV deal for the wrestling company they own.. How the fuck are they gonna market this?

Cody Rhodes Talks No 20 Minute Promos In AEW, And More..

AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes participated in a "From Undesirable to Undeniable" panel with Tony Schiavone at Starrcast III on Thursday night in Chicago. The discussion was held at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg.
* Cody joked that "you're not going to WWE" shortly after Tony was called by Bruce Prichard..
Cody's mother said "too much blood!" after the win over brother Dustin Rhodes at Double Or Nothing back in May
* Tony responded, "Hell yeah we are!" when asked if he and Jim Ross will be calling matches together
* Cody said he didn't realize how big of a star his father Dusty Rhodes was until he started watching old tapes
* Cody said Dusty made a dream team of amateur wrestlers while Cody was in high school, and one of the wrestlers on the list was SmackDown Tag Team Champion Xavier Woods
* Cody felt like he was way too green and "kinda sucked" when he first debuted on WWE TV. "I can never not appreciate what they did for me," he said of WWE
* Cody said he left WWE because he was getting tired of having to impress just one guy - Vince McMahon. Tony asked if the Rhodes family name hurt him while he was in WWE. Cody said Vince assumed he was just like Dusty and brother Dustin, and he's not
* Cody promised All Out will be AEW's best show so far. He said talent is what will make AEWstand out, and talked about how All Out will be produced, and added that pro wrestling can't be PG

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan told Dustin after their Double Or Nothing match, "You made my company in one match"
* Cody said "Standards and Practices" didn't like all the blood in his matches or the chair shot from Shawn Spears at Fyter Fest. He said, "And I'm going to keep doing it!"
* Cody was asked about his Stardust gimmick in WWE. He talked about how Stephanie McMahoncame up with the idea and Vince loved it. He said the mask made it look like he was wearing a condom on his head. Vince said he should shave his head instead
* A 10 year old fan asked if AEW will have 20 minute promos and Cody responded, "Not a chance in hell"
* Cody said he's "genuinely scared" how much he loves his role as Executive Vice President
* Cody said "we should probably do the pay-per-view again here (in Chicago) next year" and added that they "might have" talked to the United Center already. He also said it's very likely that an AEW TNT episode and pay-per-view takes place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta in the future. He wants people to travel to Washington, DC to the Capital One Arena for the TNT premiere on October 2, as this was part of the reason why they chose that location for the first show
* Cody gave props to Orange Cassidy for being a great wrestler
* Cody said "let us paint the damn thing and then tell us it sucks" in response to critics popping up before they see the finished product
* Cody credited Rey Mysterio with making his career and said AEW will steal Rey if WWE doesn't treat him right. Earlier he credited ROH with helping to make All In a success, and with helping him develop his "American Nightmare" persona..

DUSTIN RHODES SIGNS MULTI-YEAR EXTENSION WITH AEW

Dustin Rhodes has signed a contract extension with AEW.
AEW issued a press release announcing the news today. It's a multi-year extension, though the exact length of the deal wasn't revealed.
Dustin will be an in-ring wrestler for AEW and is also joining their coaching staff as a promo coach and match producer.
Dustin has had two matches for AEW thus far. After losing a brother vs. brother matchup against Cody at Double or Nothing, The Young Bucks defeated Cody & Dustin in the main event of Fight for the Fallen.
“Dustin Rhodes has had an incredible wrestling career that has spanned decades. His amazing journey brought him to AEW, and he’s rejuvenated his career here. In addition to all of the wisdom he’s shared with us as we’ve launched All Elite Wrestling, he’s come here and worked so hard for us. His comeback match against his brother Cody at Double or Nothing was one of the most acclaimed bouts in recent years, and it marked a new chapter for all of us,” AEW president and CEO Tony Khan said.
“Dustin and I had agreed weeks ago after Fight for the Fallen that we both wanted him to stay with All Elite Wrestling. He’s already done so much for us, and I’m thrilled that it’s official now that Dustin will be on our team going forward, both backstage and in the ring!”
Dustin joined AEW after being granted his release from WWE earlier this year.

Tony Schiavone Says He's Not On The AEW Broadcast Team, Details His AEW Role

On the heels of his new multi-year contract with AEWTony Schiavone spoke with Wrestlingepicenter.com about what the future holds in his new position. Tony is still in awe that AEW is going to be premiering on TNT, as he remembers how tumultuous things were when WCW was falling apart while under Turner Broadcasting.
"I had a very bad feeling about the Turner people when I left. The good news is, the Turner people that I didn't have a good feeling towards are no longer around. I'm talking about the people that ran WCW, basically. I never thought I would do it again," Schiavone admitted. "I never thought wrestling would be back on TNT again because they were very against wrestling. I guess under Brad Siegel and James Kelner - I don't know the history. They didn't want wrestling on their networks anymore.
"When I walked away from Panama City that night (the final WCW Nitro), I thought I was done with the wrestling business. I'm like that, James. I like to move on with my life... I'm not good at staying in touch with people; that is my fault. Thank goodness for guys like Arn Anderson and Jim Ross... Guys that are my friends in the business."
Schiavone revealed that he will be acting as a producer for AEW going forward. He noted that his focus will mostly be on the videos seen throughout the show, and specifically pointed out that he has no intentions of being a part of the broadcast team the company has already established.
"Okay, well, I do know I'm a producer," Tony stated. "I'm going to be working on a lot of the videos you see in the shows. I'm going to be working behind the scenes when the live shows are going, the TNT shows. I've met with Tony Khan, I've met with, obviously, Cody. We do some production here in Atlanta... Cody and I actually live pretty close to each other so when I talked to Tony Khan, the idea was that I would do control centers and on-camera stuff, but I would not be on the broadcast team because his broadcast team was in place."
Schiavone praised the AEW broadcast team for the talent and experience they bring to their craft. He is definitely going to be involved in the production of each AEW on TV episode, however, the more specific details are still being determined by Tony Khan and the other AEW Executive VPs.
"I'm not looking to shoe-horn anyone out of the broadcast team - I'm not!" Tony emphasized. "Excalibur is a great guy. I know that Alex Marvez, gosh, is a very talented guy. But, I know that Jim Ross has always wanted me with him. I know that - He's pushed for that. So, I told Tony, 'I really want to work for you, but I don't want to be the guy who is seen as trying to shoe-horn his way into the broadcast team.' I don't know what has happened since Tony and I have talked last, I just know I'm going to be part of the show in some capacity. I didn't expect that and I don't expect right now to be a part of the broadcast team. There's not been any official announcement that has been made about that but I'm just going to have my hand in the broadcasts in some way."

Dustin Rhodes Says WWE NXT And AEW On Wednesdays Is Not A War, Talks Cody Rhodes Vs. Shawn Spears

Dustin Rhodes recently spoke with Sports Illustrated to discuss Saturday's AEW All Out match between brother Cody Rhodes and Shawn Spears.
Dustin said he won't be at All Out because he's appearing at Dragon Con in Atlanta, but he will be watching.
"I'll be watching this one from afar, and I'll be looking to see if Shawn Spears can make a statement in this match. Cody has nothing to prove and Shawn has everything to prove," Dustin said. He continued, "Shawn Spears is going to find out in the ring that my brother Cody is a tough little son of a b----. He's proven himself since Legacy, and I've watched his career blossom and grow beyond anything I ever hoped for my brother."
Rhodes talked about relating to Spears and how he felt like he wasn't being used as Tye Dillinger in WWE. Dustin felt the same way when WWE wasn't using his Goldust character.
"Shawn must feel like he's uncaged, and I certainly know that feeling," Dustin said. "You feel bitter when you're not utilized the right way. Shawn has that freedom now, so I want to see if he can make a statement against my brother Cody. A match of this caliber needs to stand out, and I know Cody's ready—he beat me like a dog and put an end to the 'Attitude Era.' I think Cody is legitimately going to whoop the dog s--- out of him."
Regarding the upcoming "Wednesday Night War" between WWE NXT and AEW, Rhodes said it's all about AEW putting on a good product, and he doesn't see it as going to war.
"It's all about us putting on a damn good product and giving another option," Rhodes said. "I don't consider us going to war with anybody. I know there will be talk about the ratings, but the focus should be on putting out the best talent we can put out on TNT. It's going to be a lot of fun and, if you're not coming along for the ride, I feel for you."

WWE No Longer Granting Early Releases.

It has been a trend over the last year or so for WWE Superstars that are unhappy with their position in the company to request their release, however it isn’t often that WWE decides to grant the request and it looks as though it may never happen again.
AEW Superstar Chris Jericho was recently a guest on Sirius XM Radio’s Busted Open Radio and talked about former WWE Superstar Shawn Spears (fka Tye Dillinger) situation while with the company and how he was eventually given his release. However, during the interview Jericho stated that allegedly WWE will not be giving Superstars early releases anymore.
“I don’t know why [Shawn Spears] sat on the sidelines for eight months. I don’t know why a lot of guys sit on the sidelines for eight months.”
“But you know how it works up North, brother. If you fall out of grace, you’re finished being played with as Vince’s toy, you get put in the corner. Thankfully, Shawn got his release. He’s the last one that will. Nobody will ever get their release from WWE again. Nobody. He got his release, Cody and him are friends. Cody knew what he was capable of. I knew what he was capable of. I championed to get him. The guy is a tremendous heel. He’s an old school heel. He looks the part. Putting him with Tully Blanchard is a great idea. He’s a main eventer. We’re going to make him into a star, just by putting him with Cody Rhodes.”
Even though WWE representatives have said that they don’t see AEW as a threat, their actions and new “policies” seem to tell a different story. It is becoming more and more obvious that WWE doesn’t want to help their competition by allowing any of their talent to jump ship.

WWE "Hidden Gem"? Yeah OK, So "Hidden" It's On YouTube (Fucking Idiots)

Every time someone reports a slew of 'Hidden Gems' added to the WWE Network, there's always one or two, or all on the list that's not as 'hidden' as WWE would like to claim. SSSOO, since I'm good for calling them on bullshit like this.. Look, at what is ahem..'Hidden', LOL!

Here's a pic from Paul Jordan's report at PWInsider of the 'hidden gem' in question.

And OH MY, what happens when one goes to YouTube and does a search for it? OOHHH, THIS comes up.

Well damn, this gem has been 'hidden' here on YouTube for OVER A YEAR NOW! AAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA!!

And if you doubt it's the same match? Well one click on the link there and OOHHHH, look what it shows..

Nice try WWE, just 'a little' actual research would go a long way for you here. You micromanage every other fucking thing here, why is it you keep fucking up when it comes to this? This is always too easy to bust em on.. To bad they'll never smarten up any time soon when it comes to this. Until they ever do? I'll be more than happy to continue making them look stupid. It's my pleasure. :)

Bruce Prichard shoots on Randy Savage vs Crush

I can definitely call bullshit on what Bruce said about "No chemistry' between the two as I saw this same match on a house show in Rosemont, Illinois and they sold each other's stuff in THAT match.

I was sitting front row ring side and there was a cage stacked up in front of me and Savage body slammed Crush on top of it and Crush sold the move like a champ. I had met Randy earlier that day at a GNC store in Skokie and asked him about the old ICW territory.. Savage saw me and recognized me after he body slammed Crush on the stacked up parts of the cage, then punched Crush in the face, looked at me and said "That's for you.. For what you asked me earlier today".

He punched Crush again and got a three count on top of the stacked up pieces of the cage. So yeah, I can call bullshit, easily. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CH47PTt1hA

Here's the quote/claim I'm easily going to dispute and correct him on, right here.

Most notable might BE, The Monster factory and the WWE's performance Center? UUHH no.. Try again.. Here's proof.. And since, you know... Proof IS.. A Mother fucker... You know the rest. :)

Other 'just as notable' wrestling schools, not one but TWO.. That have been around LONGER than the WWE's Performance Center.. ARE..

Jimmy Valiant's Training Camp has been around ALOT LONGER than The WWE's Performance Center and is a well known Wrestling school (Much like Harley Race;s school as well).

Then there's other 'very notable' wrestling school as well.

Dory Funk Jr.'s school has also been around  alot longer than the Performance Center, and.. If one were to do the very easy research on this.. The Performance Center's teachings go back to when.. WHO? was a part of it at the very beginning with the WWF "Training Dojo'? OOHH YES.. That would BE.. Dory Funk Jr..  HHMMMMMM..

This is what you get when you don't do any research and basically just talk out your ass. The shit you say comes right back, and slaps you in the face.. You can thank me now for doing the correction work.. Lord knows, nobody else would have the balls to do it.
