ICW professional wrestler Joe Hendry has qualified for the 2018 Commonwealth Games and will be representing Team Scotland in the Wrestling category.
The 97kg British Freestyle Amateur Wrestling Champion will be in Australia for a month to compete in the hope of securing a medal for his team.
It is rare to see professional wrestlers, known for their theatrics and impressive move-sets enter the world of amateur wrestling. Hendry is the latest professional wrestler to bridge that gap following in the footsteps of household names like Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar, who found success in both worlds.
