Before Meltzer, The Torch and Wrestlinginc, I have it. Tim Storm vs. Jocephus - Empty Arena Match from Impact Wrestling / NWA (National Wrestling Alliance)
Published on Jan 15, 2018
Tim Storm and Jocephus took their NWA rivalry to the Impact Wrestling - Impact Zone on Sunday 1/14/18 for an Empty Arena Match with the winner getting a shot at NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. The match is called by Jeremy Borash and Sam Shaw.
This very personal issue between Tim Storm and Jocephus started in their first match and Jocephus claim that Tim Storm used save in his eye to beat him.
This led to Jocephus petitioning Billy Corgan for a rematch with a chance to earn another title match. In that match, Tim Storm defeated Jocephus one more time. After that match, Jocephus used a ladder to crack the ribs of Tim Storm. That injury was a contributing factor to Tim Storm losing the NWA Worlds Title to Nick Aldis at CZW'S Cage of Death.
Tim Storm wanted badly a chance at revenge against Jocephus but Jocephus was suspended by the NWA for forty-five days. In that time, Jocephus found his spiritual advisor and began his period of contemplation. Jocephus demanded Storm put up the title match and even stalked Tim Storm's daughter to make sure it happened.
The location of Impact Wrestling and their Impact Zone was chosen by Jocephus. This is the complete unedited match from Orlando Florida

A guy's first indy show. I had aloot of the same feeling when I went to my first Silvano Sousa owned Atlantic Wrestling Federation show in Manchester, NH.

Sid Vicious Addresses Rumors Of Taking Time Off From Wrestling To Play Softball
Recently former WWE and WCW World Champion Sid Vicious spoke with Hannibal TV and addressed longstanding rumors that he would breach wrestling contracts to play softball. Below are some highlights:
How the softball rumors started in WCW:
"What happened on that was this – started back a long time ago when I worked for WCW. I had my lung surgery where I had a hole in my lung, so they had to cut part of my lung away, so I lost a lot of weight. So, I was gaining my weight back and I flew in, they looked at me – actually they had Terry Funk fly in one time to look at me. I didn't even know I could drive that day, but I was scared not to drive because I was afraid I was going to lose my job. So, I picked him up at the airport, made one loop around the airport and I dropped him off. And I don't know what Terry Funk said, but they didn't fire me or make a big deal about me being that skinny. So, I put my weight on, went to see them, they looked at me and said 'No, we won't you to put a little more weight on.'
"So, I go back home, and I'm just, you know, working out every day, eating 15 times a day, and working out 2 or 3 times a day. And so, during my time off I played a little softball. I'm only guessing at this point, but I think it was Jerry Lawler, of course he played a lot of softball, saw me out there all the time and suddenly, the office calls me and says, 'What the f--k are you doing playing softball?" I said, 'Well man, I wasn't told not to play softball, I was told to put on some weight.' Ole (Anderson) was the booker, he said for your punishment they're going to have you come in and you're going to put Lex Luger over in 5 seconds. Now you've got to realize, I was either out for 7 or 8 months. When somebody's paying me, you know, big money to sit at home, that 30 seconds I probably got paid $200,000 for that. You know, so I'm not going to worry about putting Lex over, I never worried about putting people over. So that's where it started."
How the rumors continued during his time in WWF:
"The next time it came about was when I'd had my fill of the WWF at the time, and I told Vince I wasn't going to be there anymore. And it took me about 3 or 4 months to get out of my contract where I could go back to WCW. And during that time, I played some softball. So, those are the two times I played softball when I wasn't wrestling. Any other time than that, it never happened. Now, I played when I came home on my days off, but it never affected the business. But that's the deal, it got blown out of proportion, and again, it probably started with someone stooging me off like Lawler, who… a little jealous, you know. And then, why somebody would worry about me playing softball, but they did. If you think about it, a lot of people said, 'Well Sid, you're an athlete, you could hurt yourself,' and I understand that. But I wasn't playing the field, I was only DH'ing, and you really don't get hurt doing that."
If he still plays softball in his spare time for fun:
"I did. I haven't played in the last couple of years, it's just been too busy. Last time I did play a couple of years ago, I tweaked my hamstring and I said as hard as I work out I'm not going to do that. This actually was more than just a couple of years ago, this was a couple of years after I broke my leg."

And here's some more Impact Wrestling stuff
A clarification on Barbed Wire Massacre 3, featuring LAX vs. OVE. The match
will indeed air in some countries on this week's episode of Impact Wrestling,
but not in the United States as Pop TV has declined to air it due to the obvious
content. The match will be made available via Twitch.tv in the United States.
No word yet what the Impact Twitch channel will be. The Fight Network in Canada
(which is owned by the same corporate owner as Impact) has already stated the
match will air in Canada.
With all the recent departures over the course of this week's tapings, the major names left to keep an eye on are Eddie Edwards, Eli Drake and Alberto el Patron. The belief among everyone is that Patron is the highest paid talent on the roster and cost-cutting has been the norm here. His deal, I believe, is up in March, but he's been announced as headlining the April PPV (see below), which is a sign that they are at least all under the belief Patron will be remaining. Edwards' deal was up later this month and he was slated to discuss a new deal over the course of last week's tapings. He is advertised for the 2/3 WrestlePro event in New Jersey that is doubling as an Impact taping. Drake's deal is up towards the summer.
Impact Wrestling is moving to 10 PM local time on SpikeTV in the UK effective this week.
WrestlePro will working with Impact Wrestling for an event that will feature a lot of Impact talents coming in to be filmed for future installments of Impact's TV series Scheduled to appear on the 2/3 WrestlePro "Brace for Impact" event in Rahway, NJ are Eli Drake, Moose, Alberto el Patron, Allie, KM, Braxton Sutter, Eddie Edwards, Matt Sydal, Fallah Bah and more. Bobby Lashley had been advertised for this date, but that's obviously up in the air as it appears he finished at last night's taping, Also appearing on the event at the Rahway Rec Center is the former "Emma" in WWE, Tenille Dashwood. Dashwood will be facing Angelina Love in the main event of the taping, a match that is not slated to be taped for Impact TV, Dan Maff and more will also be appearing. For ticket information, visit www.WrestleProOnline.com
There was talk backstage at the tapings that there may be house shows in California forthcoming, possibly as soon as March.
The 4/22 PPV title has been changed to Redemption. It was originally slated to be Lockdown but the current regime opted against locking themselves (no pun intended) into the Steel Cage format that has traditionally been the centerpiece of that event. The top two matches are Impact Wrestling champion Austin Aries vs. Alberto el Patron and Impact Wrestling X-Division champion Matt Sydal vs. Petey Williams.
Dave Lagana was at yesterday's taping as he filmed an Empty Arena match between Tim Storm and NWA champion Nick Aldis prior to fans being let in the Impact Zone for the Impact taping.

So Impact Wrestling won't try and keep Lashley and EC3 but instead sign..
They should've spent the money trying to keep the talents that are leaving out the front door. But of course that's logic and common sense and that apparently doesn't exist in Anthem Sports.

First EC3 is gone and now... Bobby Lashley finishes up with Impact Wrestling at TV tapings
They might want to rethink how they're paying talent on a 'per appearance' basis. They're losing the talent that's kept them afloat. But of course they won't and think nothing's wrong when indeed. Many things are wrong and they're not even trying to correct it.
Bobby Lashley finished up with Impact Wrestling last night at their television tapings in Orlando, Florida.
Lashley joined Chris Adonis, Ethan Carter III, and Laurel Van Ness as top names who have left the company this week.
Lashley worked two matches with Brian Cage at the tapings, losing both nights. Cage, who made his debut on Thursday, was also the guy used for EC3 to be laid out by so he's getting the monster push.
The win opens the door for Lashley to return to WWE, where he was being groomed at one point to be one of the top stars, but left the company over issues that as part of his release, he promised not to talk about publicly.
Lashley would make an interesting opponent for Brock Lesnar.
Impact will be back in Orlando tonight as they close out this round of tapings. Their next pay-per-view will be "Redemption" on April 22nd.

How about some indy wrestling tonite? Ok, how about this. Fight Pro Wrestling Episode 26
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0eEIezT-cQ
Published on Jan 14, 2018
Part two of the three part season finale, Hub City Showdown. Cory Bush issues an open challenge and Ernie Osiris takes on his 3rd Labor when he goes one on one with Eric Chapel
Interesting Impact Wrestling notes (and in some ways more reasons why I won't watch anymore)
Feast Or Firewd is back? (rolls eyes), EC3 is gone from the company so one less reason to TRY and stay interested (with paying talent on a 'per appearance' basis I can see why he doesn't want to renew his contract. Cheap cheap cheap and another example of being so dumb as to let another talent that's kept you afloat leave).
There was a lot of news coming out of tonight's Impact tapings in Orlando. Among the key points are:
- Ethan Carter III is legitimately gone from the company. They taped the Feast or Fired briefcase show and he got the fired briefcase. As has been noted, his contract expires before the next set of tapings and he's not renewing so this was a way to write him out.
- The April 22nd pay-per-view has been changed from Lockdown to Redemption. The new hierarchy in the company was against the idea of an all cage match show.
- Eddie Edwards was injured during the tapings. Sami Callihan hit a chair with a baseball bat and the bat ricocheted off the chair and hit his eye. It was a scary situation because there was so much blood and they were scared for his eye. Edwards was rushed to the hospital. I'm told he's okay now.
- The Grand Championship has been dropped.
- Jerry Lynn was brought in as an agent. That's because Tommy Dreamer had other commitments for this weekend. Dreamer was in because Sonjay Dutt wasn't allowed to fly to Orlando because of his Achilles tendon surgery.
- Father James Mitchell returned.
Here are results from tonight's tapings (courtesy of Jacob Cohen):
- El Hijo del Fantasma defeated Braxton Sutter
This was taped for the streaming service.
- Eddie Edwards defeated Sami Callihan
Callihan attacked Edwards after the match. This is where Edwards was injured.
- Next was the Feast or Fired battle royal. The four people who grabbed the briefcases were Petey Williams, Moose, EC3, and Eli Drake. They announced the briefcases would be opened later.
- Taya Valkyrie went to a double countout with Rosemary
They brawled after the match with Valkyrie laying her out.
- Kongo Kong came out with Jimmy Jacobs. Jacobs said that innocent people will get hurt because Joseph Park will not produce Abyss.
- James Mitchell entered to the old theme from the New Church group. Mitchell said that Jacobs is very similar to himself. Mitchell said he sold his soul to the devil to make his son Abyss the World Champion, but that Abyss has had a personality split. Mitchell said he did nothing when Jacobs hurt his cousin (Chandler Park), made his grandmother a basket case, and destroyed the law offices of Park, Park, and Park.
Mitchell said that Jacobs has woken up Abyss. They announced Abyss vs. Kongo Kong "next week" in Monster's Ball.
- Matt Sydal came out and thanked Josh Mathews. Sydal gave Mathews a gift, which was the Grand Championship. This was done to eliminate the title, not to make Mathews the champion.
- Knockouts Champion Allie defeated Sienna to retain her title
- Braxton Sutter made his way out and was trying to make up to Allie and said how Allie is the most important thing in his life but instead of saying Allie, said Laurel Van Ness. Sutter went to propose to Allie but Su Yung attacked her.
- Alberto El Patron did an interview. He talked about challenging Austin Aries for the title at Redemption. This will be the PPV main event.
- Caleb Konley defeated Fallah Bahh
Konley won with help from Trevor Lee. This was taped for the streaming service.
- Matt Sydal defeated Rohit Raju
- Austin Aries came out with a contract for the title match and wanted Alberto to do a contract signing. Alberto entered and signed on the dotted line to make the match official. Alberto said he respected Aries. Alberto told them to play Aries' music, then Aries told them to play Alberto's music. Aries told Alberto to enjoy his music being played because after the match at Redemption, it will be Aries' music playing at the end.
- Next was the briefcase reveal. Eli Drake will get the Tag Team title shot, Petey Williams will get the X Division title shot, and Moose will get a World title shot. EC3, of course, is fired. EC3 said after Moose's briefcase revealed a World title shot, meaning he was getting fired, that it was Taiji Ishimori's briefcase and not his. Then he refused to open it. Jeremy Borash opened it and said EC3 was fired.
EC3 said there's no way and Borash said it's real and EC3 is done. EC3 said there's no way he should lose his job for picking a briefcase in an outdated match. He said he's the franchise and has carried the company for four years. But in his last words he said he's a professional and this will light a spark in him that will lead to greatness. EC3 then beat up Borash. Brian Cage ran in and destroyed EC3.
EC3 got up and said goodbye to everyone, left, and took a bow on the stage.

Jake Roberts On Status With WWE, How It's Scary To Break New Ground In Wrestling, More
Jake Roberts spoke with CBC News on the WWE, breaking new ground in wrestling, and still getting asked for advice. Here are some of the highlights:
Breaking new ground in wrestling and continuing to learn:
"It's kind of scary breaking new ground. It's kinda scary trying things that haven't been tried. You don't know if you're going to come out on the upside or the downside of it. They remember the bad nights, they don't remember all the good ones. If you have a 'stinkaroo' of a match, man, people remember that, so you don't want to have one of those, you know, and you go out there and give it your best nightly. The nights you come up short should drive you to be better. That's the key — always try to get better. The day that you go to the ring and say you didn't learn anything, then it's time for you to take your tights off, put them in a pile, squirt them with some lighter fluid and then burn them, because if you quit learning, then you're not trying."
Still getting asked for advice:
"These guys are very open to listening to what I have to say. Several of them come to me nightly and say 'Hey, will you watch my match and give me some pointers?' And that makes me feel really good, and I love helping them because I want the product to be the best that it can be. I want these guys to enjoy what they're doing, so I try to teach them a little bit, you know, give them some of the knowledge that was given to me many years ago. That's my duty, that's my pleasure, that's my dream."
Status with WWE:
"I have no idea what those guys are doing. If they decide they want me, they'll call me."

This is a great example of why I tossed in the towel on Impact Wrestling.
They just can't book logically and to make sense if their lives depended on it.

Brutus Beefcake Book Author On What Probably Caused Hulk Hogan To Send Them Legal Threats
Brutus Beefcake's co-author, Kenny Casanova, did an interview with The Wrestling Estate to discuss the new book, other wrestlers he's working with and the Twitter feud with the Hulkster. They sent us these highlights:
The Beefcake-Hulk Hogan Twitter war:
"Man, I was on the phone with Hogan's lawyer for hours. I'm telling you, it was not a work. If it was, then Hogan and Beefcake worked me as the writer and Hogan's own lawyer. I've gotta tell ya, that's not the case. They sent warnings about making sure the book was clean and free of error, and no added 'fill-in-the-blanks' that weren't correct. Hogan went through the very public Gawker trial which hurt him as far as looking like some sexual deviant as well as dropping racial slurs. When Beefcake said, 'Brother, I'm going to put this book out soon and it's a tell all,' Hogan got perhaps worried. You know, when they first started out, they were like rock stars. They were probably all over the place with girls to some degree. Anyway, they're a bit estranged right now.
"At the same time, I believe that the story Hogan was concerned about the most, had something to do with an argument with Beefcake's wife and him, and none of that is in the book. That one element, much later in life, isn't in the book and I think that's the thing he was most concerned about. But that's pure speculation on my part. I don't even know."
How he ended up ghostwriting for Kamala:
"I was going to put out a sci-fi book when I saw an article about Kamala losing both of his legs to diabetes. It hit home for a couple of reasons: I worked with him a lot and he's a great guy, and my mom passed away from diabetes. I played Kim Chee for him a number of times in the Northeast, so I felt obligated to try and help the guy. I wanted to give something back. So I gave him a call and started putting his book together. We launched a Kickstarter that brought in like $17,000 in the first week or two. We used the Kickstarter as a platform to get a little awareness back to his character, and then we started putting out T-shirts and 8x10s, too. Steve Austin put us on his podcast, Roddy Piper did the same. Jason King from Bleacher Report helped with an additional GoFundMe page. Kamala was able to pay off his medical costs and get himself out of debt. You know, a lot of these guys don't have any retirement or medical insurance."
Working on Vader's book:
"We did Vader's book. Some of the wrestlers like to have control as far as their voice is concerned. Right now Vader is going through the book and he's picky, but arguably that's a good thing, because it will make the book more him. Once he's happy with the final draft, we'll probably put it out around WrestleMania time."

PAIGE DONE AS IN-RING PERFORMER FOR WWE
2016 into 2017 was one issue after another for WWE star Paige. 2017 into 2018
was supposed to be her major comeback to WWE, her redemption. Inside the ring,
sadly, that will not be the case.
In a situation described as similar to WWE Hall of Famer Adam "Edge" Copeland's medical disqualification from the ring, WWE star Paige (Saraya-Jade Bevis, 25 years old) was informed this week that she will not be cleared to return to the ring after her most recent in-ring injury, this w as confirmed with multiple sources. It is believed Paige was given the news at the Raw taping this past Monday. sources have been told by multiple sources she is "done" as an in-ring wrestler.
During a six woman tag team bout on 12/28/17 at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island, Paige had her back to Sasha Banks, who was behind her against the turnbuckles. Banks used the ropes to pull herself up and kicked with both legs into Paige's back. Paige, obviously not ready for the bump, went down. She tried to get up but could not get her legs under her, finally did get up and turned to grab Banks, immediately falling down again and rolling over to her back, where she stayed. The referee checked on her and called for the bell. She was examined by WWE medical personnel and a stretcher was brought to ringside to transport her back to the locker room. After several minutes, Paige walked out under her own power.
It was believed at the time that Paige had suffered a stinger, leading to her losing feeling in her extremities. Given her previous neck surgery, WWE pulled her from the ring and set up further testing that led to this week's decision.
Paige had been announced for the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble match on 1/28 in Philadelphia after she was injured, but we are told that was before medical testing led to the determination that she was to be pulled from performing as an in-ring competitor. She will be replaced in the match and all signs are that she will relegated to a non-physical role for the company going forward. One would assume the company will devise a way to write her out of the Rumble match without any physicality, similar to how Daniel Bryan is not allowed to be involved in anything physical in his current role as Smackdown General Manager.
Paige's injury came, as most injuries do, at the worst possible time.
2016 into 2017 was an explosive year for Paige that saw her undergo neck surgery, be hit with a pair of WWE Wellness Policy suspensions, undergo the embarrassment of personal and explicit videos being leaked and of course, her public and tumultuous relationship with Alberto el Patron. There were a number of incidents that played out in the public eye involving the couple, included a July 2017 scene at the Orlando International Airport that was so bad, local authorities got involved, later determining not only that Paige was the aggressor in the situation but that there was enough evidence to prosecute her for domestic violence battery. In the end, the District Attorney's office opted not to move forward with the prosecution.
By the latter part of the year, however, Paige was cleared medically and was finally back in the ring, spending time at the WWE Performance Center in order to prepare for a television return. She was brought back with great fanfare during a great Raw segment last year, helping to introduce NXT talents Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to the main roster as part of the Absolution faction. The strategy behind putting the group together may have been to devise a way to limit Paige's ring time due to her previous neck issues, while also getting her back on TV in a prominent role. Almost immediately, the trio was clicking, feuding with Sasha Banks, Bayley and Mickie James. Paige was right back where she should have been.
Then, the injury happened.
The irony of the situation, a number of sources have pointed out, is that no one would think there was anything physically wrong by looking at Paige, making it even more unthinkable that she, at 25, is being removed from WWE competition.
A second generation star from Norwich, England who broke into the business at just 13 years of age, Paige's signing to WWE developmental was instrumental in leading to the current incarnation of the WWE women's division. She was one of the first breakout stars of the WWE NXT brand as it evolved from just being a developmental territory. NXT's Women's division, unlike the WWE main roster at the time, specifically focused on the athletic in-ring abilities of the female talents and built stories, title matches and rivalries no different than NXT's male counterparts.
As more and more talents migrated from NXT to arrive on WWE's main roster, the women's division there also evolved, becoming far more performance-based as the division became a more popular and important piece of WWE's product, Paige was not only a major part of moving the division forward, she was the first sign of that the tides were changing.
Paige, the first NXT Women's champion, was moved to the main roster as a surprise the day after Wrestlemania 30 in New Orleans, shockingly defeating AJ Lee to become the WWE Divas champion. In doing so, Paige became the first and only woman to hold the belts simultaneously. With her Divas championship win, she was also the youngest woman to hold the belt at 21 years of age. She would hold the Divas championship twice.
While Paige will not be allowed to wrestle going forward by the company, we are told that she is extremely well liked by management, so one would think she would remain with the company in some capacity. She was featured on reality series Total Divas, so that's a possible vehicle for her, as are WWE Studios feature films. It's also possible the company could tap her to Coach in the NXT system or attempt to transition her into another on camera role.
Of course, The Rock is producing WWE Studios' forthcoming film "Fighting With My Family", which will be released theatrically September 14th. The company will obviously utilize Paige to promote the film, which based on a British documentary made about Paige's family, The Knights, who have been wrestling and promoting the World Association of Wrestling (WAW) promotion in Great Britain for years. One of the lead characters, named Raya (short for Saraya, Paige's given name) is played by actress Florence Pugh and is the central character of the film as it follows a fictionalized version of Paige's path to World Wrestling Entertainment, right down to a major scene where they recreate the night she debuted on Raw and captured the Divas championship.
The importance of her connection to the film alone should allow Paige to continue to be showcased in some fashion until the film hits theaters.
Outside of WWE, Paige had been attempting to build a separate brand for herself under the name "Saraya" with the assistance of former WWE star Rosa Mendes and her husband. Obviously, that will continue as well.

TIM STORM vs. JOCEPHUS - Stipulation and Location Revealed
Published on Jan 11, 2018
Tim Storm vs. Jocephus has been a personal issue running in the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) dating back to November. It started over the NWA Ten Pounds of Gold, which is now held by Nick Aldis, leading to Jocephus cracking two ribs on Tim Storm while he still was the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.
The NWA suspended Jocephus for forty-five days leading to his "period of contemplation" with his spiritual advisor. After losing the NWA Worlds Title to Nick Aldis, Tim Storm demanded that Jocephus fight him like a man. Jocephus instead demand that if he beat storm in this fight, he won the NWA World Title match Storm has coming to him. When Storm denied this request, Jocephus and his spiritual advisor made this personal.
Tim Storm was infuriated; demanding retribution and if Jocephus didn't find a place, he'd find him. This lead to today Jocephus and his spiritual advisor announcing the location, time and stipulation.

Jazzy Gabert Talks Getting Chewed Out Backstage By James Storm, Harsh Advice From Bully Ray, WWE
As previously noted, Jazzy Gabert was recently a guest on E&C's Pod Of Awesomeness. Among other things, Gabert talked about her 'Alpha Female' moniker, trying out for Impact Wrestling and WWE, and her run with Impact.
According to Jazzy, she based her 'Alpha Female' gimmick on advice she received from WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart in 2008.
"I met Bret Hart on a tour, that was like my first real professional tour where a lot of professional wrestlers were there just like Sabu, Rob Van Dam, Sandman, and Bret Hart," Gabert said. "And he [Hart] told me the only way to find a real good gimmick for yourself that works is A) you take your character and multiply it, like, 10-times, like, if you're funny, then, you be like the most funny wrestler ever. Or, you take something you want to be in the ring and I chose this one because I wanted to see someone in the ring, like a real strong, confident woman, not shaking her ass like the Divas back in the day. I didn't want to be something like that. That's how 'The Alpha Female' came up."
With respect to the 'Alpha Female' nickname itself, Jazzy said it came about from other female wrestlers saying she should not be jealous for missing a show.
"Back in the day, I had no gimmick," Jazzy admitted, "so they booked me [and] I was Jazzy. But one day, my boyfriend at the time, as I said, he was a professional wrestler. He went on a show and then he said, but it was not true, he said to the other girls, 'yeah, my girlfriend, she is at home and she's jealous.' And they said, '[gasp] Jazzy? Why is she jealous? She's the alpha female.' And that's how my name came up."
During the podcast, Jazzy said she went to a tryout at Impact, formerly TNA, and it was not very good. Apparently, Jazzy accidentally interrupted James Storm's rehearsal and would find herself feeling sorry about her damn luck.
"I went for a tryout at TNA and I was still Jazzy." Jazzy explained, "I had no real gimmick. I had like long black hair. And I went to the tryout and the tryout was really bad. Like, I don't know. Everything was not cool. Like, the wrestling in the ring was not good and I don't know. A lot of little mistakes happened. And Bully Ray was responsible for the tryout people, so I went over to him and I remember that he and what's his name, Storm? I think 'Cowboy' James Storm. Yeah. They were, like, arguing and had a big fight and I was like, 'I am going to wait till they are over and then I will jump in.' I waited and I thought they were over and they were not over, but I interrupted them by mistake and James Storm was yelling at me, and said I couldn't be work and I'd get nowhere, and '[who] the hell do you think you are?' Oh my gosh. It can't get any worse."
Jazzy claimed that she asked Bubba for advice and he insinuated that the stepdaughter of Masahiro Chono was not as attractive as the Knockouts.
"I spoke to Bully Ray and I was like, 'I know this was not my best. Can you give me some advice?' And then, he said to me, 'okay, Jazzy, do you really think you are as sexy as our Knockouts? Do you really think you have a chance?' And that really hit me like, 'wow'. Of course [it] was true. It was a little bit harsh, but in the end, I'm really happy that he said that to me because I went home crying, obviously because everything was so bad, and I shaved my head. I said, 'okay, I can't be a pretty as them, so let me be ugly.' And that's basically how 'The Alpha Female' started."
Jazzy shared that she was passed over by WWE in 2015 and contemplated retirement.
"In 2015, I had another tryout with WWE and, actually, it went really well. Like, I could do all the exercises and everything was cool. But again, I got a 'no' and then I wanted to retire, actually. Like, I was like, 'okay, this is it. Like, I'm not getting any younger and I don't know what to do anymore.' And then, my promoter called me, my manager called me, and he asked me if I wanted to try MMA. And I was like, 'okay, well, maybe this would give 'The Alpha Female', like, that next thing that's needed."
On the subject of Jazzy's Impact stint, 'The Berlin Bruiser' said her Impact Wrestling storylines left her kind of blue.
"I went to TNA, when was it? Oh yeah, it was 2013! I remember they were in Europe and they had some TV tapings and they were asking me if I wanted to be part of it. And, of course, I wanted [to be a part of it]. And they gave me this gimmick that I'm the bodyguard of Chris Sabin and he just broke up with his girlfriend, Velvet Sky, so we had this little storyline that he's attacking her, she's attacking him, I come in and be like the bodyguard, which was all cool and all fun. But there were some things that really annoyed me. The commentary, for example, said all the time stuff like that I'm his girlfriend, 'is this a man or is this a woman?', stuff like that. And I was like, 'I don't like that.' And so they were asking me. I had two offers on the table: I had Japan who asked me to stay for five years or they asked me if I want to go to TNA. So I [chose] Japan because, again, I was not really happy with the storyline."

UPW Heavyweight Title Match (Triple Threat Match)
"The Young Lion of the West" Mattick vs. Sean Carr vs. "Your Captain" Nick Ando (c)
Nick Ando defends his title in what will be his toughest defense to date. Carr is an accomplished veteran who has made a name for himself wherever he's gone. He also has a long-standing history with Ando as well. Then there's Mattick. It was Mattick who attacked both Ando and Carr during their title match at UPW's November 2 Dismember. Mattick has been a man possessed since starting the Vile Society and feels he's been disrespected since he never received a title shot since winning the Upstate 8 back in September. Well now both men will get an opportunity in the same match. "Your Captain" has been a fighting champion since winning the title, but he'll have to keep an eye out for the Vile Society AND be mindful of the fact that he doesn't have to be pinned or submitted to lose his championship.
Title Unification Match
UPW Tag Team Champions Defiance vs. KDW Tag Team Champions The Wrestling Liberation Front
The first of two title unification matches will pit the UPW Tag Team Champions Defiance (Chris Cayden & Maximo Suave) against the KDW Tag Team Champions The Wrestling Liberation Front (Cloudy & Krist Worthless) . It was at KDW's Christmas Chaos where Cloudy and Worthless successfully defended their titles against Cayden and Maximo. After the match, both men walked out with Defiance's titles as well to add insult to injury. Defiance is out for revenge and want to prove they're the better team. But who'll they face is now up in the air. In breaking news Krist Worthless was flagged in Germany trying to board his flight to come back to Rochester for UPW's The Merge and as of right now, he won't be appearing at the show Saturday. What does this mean for the match and who will be Cloudy's partner? Be there this Saturday to find out.
Title Unification Match
KDW Champion "The Dark Jedi" Jeremy Jensen vs. 585 Live Champion Icon Ace
Champion versus Champion. Two young wrestlers, both holding prestigious titles, hoping to be the man walking out as the only champion. Jeremy Jensen has the Vile Society by his side, that will give him the advantage in numbers. However at the end of the final KDW show we saw UPW Heavyweight Champion Nick Ando, former KDW Champion Jason Savior and 585 Live champ Icon Ace come to the aid of Eric Rosecroft, maybe they will have Icon's back too if the Vile Society decides to get involved. Icon Ace has held the 585 Live Championship since its inception by winning the tournament to crown the very first champion. What a fighting champion he has been too. Month in and month out he has defended that title and has walked away victorious every time. This may however be his toughest challenge yet. Can Icon Ace keep his singles winning streak alive and teach Jeremy Jensen a lesson in humility? Jensen might think that his decision to join the Vile Society and turn his back on everyone who has supported him was a good decision because he's the current KDW Heavyweight Champion. He was on a losing streak ever since dropping the belt to Jason Savior. Only mustering up one win in a fatal 4 way to earn a spot in the 585 Live Tournament where he didn't make it past the first round. He has now won 2 matches in a row and a title with the Vile Society, but that only proves one thing, he needed help to get the job done. Will he be able to win one on his own and walk out as the only champion? Will Jeremy Jensen need the help of Mattick, Hellcat & Kount C to pin Icon Ace? Can Icon Ace once again overcome the obstacles put in front of him and keep on his winning ways? Find out this Saturday at The Merge!!!!
"The Amazing Canadian" Lionel Knight & UPW "Canadian" No Limits Champion "The King of the North" Carter Mason vs. "Extremely Cute Wrestler" Colin Delaney & "Eh Plus" Ryan Cassidy
A tag team grudge match will go down at UPW's The Merge. It was at UPW's November 2 Dismember where Carter Mason successfully defended his No Limits Championship against Ryan Cassidy. After the match, Mason was not done and continued his assault on Cassidy. Colin Delaney came out to make the save, but Lionel Knight came out and went after Colin. Knight was upset with Colin defeating him earlier in the show. With that, Upstate officials have made this match. Mason and Knight are two of Canada's top talents and have made an impact since becoming a part of the UPW roster. Delaney has been reinvigorated since appearing once again with WWE, but he and the upstart Cassidy have some unfinished business with the Canadian duo. Also, a win by Delaney and Cassidy over Mason would certainly put one of them in line for a title shot at the UPW "Canadian" No Limits Championship as well. But it will take more than an "Eh Plus" effort from Colin Delaney and Ryan Cassidy to defeat Lionel Knight and Carter Mason in what should be a action-packed, tag team encounter.
Wrecking-U (Hellcat & Nick "The Natural" Sullivan) vs. Bobby Dipinto & A Mystery Partner
For months now we have seen instances of Hellcat's frustration since losing the UPW Tag Team Titles to Defiance in a Danger Zone match. He isn't someone who likes losing. I'm not sure anyone expected him to turn on Bobby Dipinto, disband Wrecking-U and join the Vile Society. With his young student Nick Sullivan still under his wing he will look to inflict a whole lot of punishment on his former tag team partner. Bobby Dipinto will not be alone though. He has the option to pick any partner that he wants and that gives him a little bit of an advantage. When you don't know who your opponent is it makes it very difficult to prepare. There will be revenge on the mind of Dipinto as well, he put his trust into someone and was stabbed in the back. Revenge can be blinding however and hopefully Bobby is able to remain focused during this match and get the ultimate revenge by pinning Hellcat in the middle of the ring 1,2,3. Who will come out on top at UPW's The Merge? Find out this coming Saturday as we kick off 2018 with a bang!!!

NWA TAPING EMPTY ARENA GRUDGE MATCH THIS SUNDAY
The National Wrestling Alliance announced today that they will be filming an
empty arena grudge match between former champion Tim Storm and Jocephus, who
injured Storm prior to Storm's title loss to Nick Aldis. The storyline is
that Jocephus has goaded Storm into putting up his NWA title rematch in this
bout.
Most interestingly, the match will be taped this Sunday in Orlando, Florida at the Impact Zone. We are told the match will be taped before the TV taping begins that day. We are told that there are no other plans for NWA involvement at the tapings this week.
