Championship Wrestling From Florida Fan Fest.

Taking place during WrestleMania week is CWF Legends Fanfest at the former Ft. Homer Hesterly Armory on April 2-4 as part of WWN's WRESTLExpo. CWF Fanfest's have combined exclusive panel discussions & Q&A's with an intimate opportunity to meet the Legends of the Championship Wrestling from Florida territory.

"Having been a fan at many wrestling conventions, I wanted to try and do something different," Fanfest founder & CWF Historian Barry Rose said. "Based upon the response of the 6 stand alone events that we have done, when given the opportunity to be at the Armory, it was a no-brainer. For just a little bit more than the average combo (photo & autograph) op at a wrestling convention, we add a 2-2 ½ hour Q&A and discussion. We look forward to bringing our concept to a larger audience."

"WWN is extremely excited that the CWF Legends FanFest will be such a huge part of the 2020 WRESTLExpo," added WWN President, Sal Hamaoui. "Once we secured the former Ft. Homer W. Hesterly Armory for this year's events I reached out to David and Barry right away to try and make this happen. On April 2nd-4th the Legends of Championship Wrestling from Florida will be returning to the hallowed halls of the Madison Square Gardens of the South for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

Events include:

* 4/2 @2:30pm: Tales from the Armory, a panel discussion with CWF Legends Buddy Colt, Abdullah the Butcher, Ron Fuller, Bugsy McGraw, referee Bill "Fonzie" Alfonso, and David Sierra aka as The Cuban Assassin & The Saint. More legends to be added. Tickets include Panel Discussion, Q&A, group photo, & autographs from the legends.

* 4/3 @3:30pm: Kevin Sullivan & "Friends", My Dance with the Devil, Sullivan, a CWF Legend was one of the more controversial wrestlers of the 1980's because of his "flirt with the occult". We will dive deep into this persona, how close he was caught up, his legendary rivalry with 'the American Drea," Dusty Rhodes, plus his historic career. Kevin will be joined by Bob "Maha Singh" Roop, their first ever appearance together anywhere, and other guests. Tickets include Panel Discussion, Q&A, group photo in costume, & autographs from the legends,

* 4/4 @3:30pm: The Great Debate w/Bob Roop & Ron Fuller Over 40 years in the making, a "no holds barred" discussion between two bitter rivals. These two legendary wrestlers and bookers come face-to-face for the FIRST TIME since 1979 when Roop and four other wrestlers abruptly left Fuller's Southeastern Wrestling promotion and formed their own group. Fuller has been outspoken on his weekly podcast about his trusted talent trying to steal his territory and the controversial "Plan B" Video, which would have exposed the business had it been released to the public. Nobody could get these two personal rivals in the same room to debate this hostile takeover attempt until NOW!

Tickets are available at https://wrestlexpo.com/ including extremely limited hotel packages and a package to all three events where you can save $30. For more information on CWF Fanfest 2020, follow them on Twitter @CWFFanfest, and on Facebook at the CWF Legends Fanfest Group.

DDT Pro Wrestling Parent Company Purchases Pro Wrestling NOAH

CyberAgent Inc, the parent company of DDT Pro Wrestling, announced the purchase of Pro Wrestling NOAH. WWE had reportedly tried to buy NOAH in the past.
The move is similar to Bushiroad, the parent company of NJPW, acquiring Stardom, another Japanese wrestling promotion that WWE had tried to purchase in their efforts to make a push in the Japanese wrestling market. There will not be any major changes in the in-ring product, but there will be some changes moving forward.
Sanshiro Takagi will serve as the president of NOAH, as well as retain the same position in DDT. Naomichi Marufuji will also retain his role as Vice President of NOAH, and Akihiro Takeda will remain as NOAH's executive officer. LIDET will remain NOAH's corporate sponsor.
Takagi has said that there is no consideration of a merger between DDT and NOAH. Takagi will work on the financial side of NOAH while Marufuji and Takeda will continue to work on the in-ring product. Takagi has also said that this move is his way of repaying Mitsuharu Misawa, who had saved DDT in the past.
When asked what he will reform about NOAH's management, Takagi said, "We have a lot of things to learn from NOAH too, like social media operations. We can help enhance their media outlets; they currently rely predominantly on YouTube. We can work on corporate sponsors too."
Marfuji also said that the announcement of the move to the NOAH roaster was completely last minute. He said that the wrestlers were expecting something, but were not sure on the specifics.
DDT Universe and Abema TV will be the streaming services that will be used to broadcast NOAH shows as well as GAORA and Samurai TV, so NOAH will be broadcast to a wider audience.

Example #1203 On How Marks Are Still, So Dumb. And Really Need A Clue Or Two

This is part of a discussion I made the mistake of engaging in.. Marks in this group really think they know it all, when in fact they got proven, they don't really know much, at all.

In fact, the notifications for this thread are still turned off, they tag me and nothing happens, which goes to show, I prove the marks wrong yet, again. Someone I know in the group messaged me to tell me about the 'earth shattering' warning I received.. The fact someone had to message me about it shows that what they said about tagging me and notifications get automatically turned on? Was nothing but bullshit on their part. Proving they don't really know shit, like I do.. Which really, isn't anything new knowing what level of dipshit I have to deal with on a weekly basis in a lot of these groups.

WWHHAAT? WWE Doesn't Deliver What They Advertised? Say It Ain't So, LMAO!

- Buddy Murphy, Otis, Tucker, R-Truth, Bobby Lashley and Rusev were all advertised for the men's Royal Rumble match, but didn't end up appearing. It was explained on commentary that Lashley and Rusev were out of the match because they weren't cleared to compete after they were involved in a brawl in the parking lot earlier in the day.

There was no explanation provided for the other four men. (Which means the 'creatively challenged' Creative Department 'had nothing' for them, and couldn't scrape up anything believable.. Like that's a first).

Andrade Reportedly Suspended For WWE Wellness Policy Violation

WWE United States Champion Andrade is reportedly being suspended by WWE for his first violation of the Wellness Policy, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet.

Andrade was reportedly informed of the suspension on Monday morning. There's no word yet on what substance he tested positive for.

Andrade retained his title over Humberto Carrillo during the Royal Rumble Kickoff pre-show on Sunday. They had a rematch on tonight's RAW, which saw Zelina Vega interfere to force the disqualification.

WWE wrote Andrade out of the storylines in the post-match angle on tonight's RAW as Carrillo dropped him on the exposed concrete with his own Hammerlock DDT.

Andrade will be gone for 30 days. WWE should officially announce the suspension soon.

As noted, Bobby Roode and Primo Colon were suspended for WWE Wellness Policy violations back in December. They were also suspended for 30 days.

FORMER WCW STAR VAN HAMMER ARRESTED FOR DUI AFTER STRIKING FIVE YEAR OLD BOY

Former World Championship Wrestling star Van Hammer (real name Mark Hildreth, 60 tears old) was arrested on Sunday 1/26 and charged with driving under the influence in Boynton Beach, Florida (where he resides) following an incident where Hildreth's car struck a five-year old boy who was riding a bicycle, throwing the boy atop Hildreth's car's hood, according to local police.  The young boy was admitted as a trauma patient with possible internal injuries and "road rash."  He was in stable condition yesterday and his injuries are not said to be life-threatening, according to the Palm Beach Post.

According to the police report, Hildreth was driving driving near south Seacrest Boulevard and Southeast 34th Avenue when Hildreth's car struck the boy, who was riding his bicycle with his father.  Hildreth allegedly got out of the car, stated the boy jumped out in front of him, then drove away.  Another witness followed Hildreth to his home and identified him to police.  The police report notes that Hildreth smelled of alcohol and refused to take a breathalyzer, leading to his arrest.  He was booked into custody at 8 PM Eastern last night.

Hildreth has been charged with felony hit and run with failure to stop in a crash involving others and serious bodily injuries, DUI with injuries to another person  and leaving the scene of an injury crash.

Hildreth was in Palm Beach County Court this morning to be arraigned with bail set at $125,000.  During the hearing, it was noted he had two previous DUIs in the past, one in Texas in 1985 and one in Georgia in 2004.  Hildreth was also ordered not to have contact with the victim or any potential witnesses, to make himself available to random testing for drugs and alcohol and that he not use any alcohol or drugs not carry and illegal weapons on his person:

Hildreth, best known as Van Hammer, was trained by Dean Malenko and Dan Spivey before debuting in World Championship Wrestling in 1991, playing a heavy metal rock and roll character.    He may be best remembered for a Falls Count Anywhere match with Mick Foley on a live Clash of Champions special and winning a 1992 Jesse Ventura Invitational arm-wrestling tournament.  He was with WCW for several years before departing.  Hildreth received a WWF tryout in 1993 but wasn't brought into the company.  He returned to WCW during the Nitro era, where he was a member of Raven's Flock and a member of the Misfits in Action tag stable as Major Stash.  He also had a hand in training Ring of Honor stars Jay and Mark Briscoe.

Hildreth remains incarcerated at the Palm Beach Main Detention Center as of this writing.

HERCULES AYALA PASSES AWAY

The Cauliflower Alley Club issued the following sad news:

We heard this morning that Ruben Cruz, better known to wrestling as Hercules Ayala, passed away last night due to heart issues at the age of 69. Born in Puerto Rico, Cruz wrestled all over the world, winning dozens of titles in his career. No one will ever forget his unique look, and we offer our condolences at this time ?to his family and his loved ones.

Ayala, originally born in Puerto Rico, was trained in professional wrestling by the late Angelo Savoldi while living in Boston, where his mother had moved to from the island.  After a chance meeting in a gym, Ayala was taken under Savoldi's wing and worked underneath matches for the World Wide Wrestling Federation.   Working as Ruben Ayala, a babyface, he would work undercard matches, losing to the likes of Baron Mikel Scicuna and getting put over Johnny Rodz and Tony Altimore on live events.

Although he worked a number of different territories in the United States, his major push and star power came from working in his native Puerto Rico, where he was a top performer for the World Wrestling Council in the 80s and 80s, feuding with Hercules Hernandez and Kevin Sullivan, among others.  He defeated Randy Savage for the WWC Championship in 1985 and was such a large star on the Island that he challenged Ric Flair for the NWA World title when Flair visited the territory.

After many years of being a signature babyface for the company, he turned heel and began carrying a chain with him, managed by Chicky Starr. Since he was based around power spots and brawling, the switch came natural to him and the turn led to a long, legendary feud with Carlos Colon Sr. over the WWC Universal Championship.  One major angle saw Ayala attack Colon's wife, Nancy, during a WWC Awards ceremony.  After two years, Colon drove Ayala out of the territory in a Loser Leaves Town Match.

Outside of Puerto Rico, Ayala was a regular partner of WWC official Victor Jovia and the two held the NWA North American Tag Titltes.   In 1978 he toured for the Otto Wanz' CWA, where he crossed paths with the Hart family, setting up his entry into Stampede the following year.   He worked Stampede in the late 1970s and early 1980s, working against the Hart Family as a heel as well as a pre-Junkyard Dog Sylvester Ritter and Jake Roberts, among others.  Ayala and Jim Neidhart teamed to win the Stampede Tag Team titles.

Ayala also worked for Luttle Internationale in Canada, where he feuded with David Schultz and Abdullah the Butcher for that area's Canadian International Heavyweight Championship.  In St. Louis, he was billed as Crusher Ayala and worked there in the early 1980s against the late Bruiser Brody, Roddy Piper, Bulldog Brown and others.

Ayala returned to Puerto Rico to help run opposition to the Colons in the early 1990s for Gloria Uribe's American Wrestling Federation, where he held the promotion's top title and worked as the booker during its short run.  Hw would return to WWC after the AWF folded, feuding with Bronco I.  The 2011 WWC Anniversario event was dedicated to Ayala.

Ayala had been in poor health for some time.  He was 69 years old at the time of his passing.

If this is the best that today's 'Marks', or this generation of 'marks' can do and think this actually 'hurts' a promotion? Then they may want to go and re-evaluate their lives. Because if anything this shows what fucking morons they really are.

This was done in New York City.

WALTER Speaks Out Against WWE Survivor Series Experience

WWE NXT UK Champion WALTER recently spoke with Metro UK and spoke out against his role in the 2019 WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view back in November.
Survivor Series saw the leader of Imperium team with Keith Lee, Tommaso Ciampa, Matt Riddle and Damian Priest, on Team NXT, to face Team RAW (Ricochet, Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, RAW Tag Team Champion Seth Rollins) and the winners of the match, Team SmackDown (Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, King Baron Corbin, Shorty G, Mustafa Ali). WALTER was eliminated first in the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match, at just 2:57, by Drew McIntyre.
WALTER said his involvement in the Survivor Series feud was a mistake, and he didn't care about it.
"I wasn't invested in that. I didn't care," WALTER said. "I care about my guys, my group, I care about the sport, but I don't care about all those people being angry each other. It was a weird match too – three five-men tag teams, and always three guys in the ring. That's when wrestling turns from competition to putting acrobats in a circus to do a show. There's 15 of you, you've got to do something."
He continued, "It's not my world. Any match where I know it's gonna be exciting and good competition, I'm excited. I love to be in the ring."
WALTER will lead Fabian Aichner, Marcel Barthel and Alexander Wolfe into battle against The Undisputed Era (NXT Champion Adam Cole, NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong, NXT Tag Team Champions Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) at Saturday's WWE Worlds Collide event. WALTER is looking forward to the match.
"I'm always looking forward to good and exciting competition, and Undisputed Era is going to bring that," he said, smiling. "It's my passion, and Undisputed Era are excellent for that."
WALTER has previously stated that he is not interested in moving to the United States for a call-up to RAW or SmackDown as he's comfortable with his family in Germany. He talked more about his opinion of America.
"I don't mind going to America for a little bit," he said. "I don't want to live there, but as a visitor it's good enough… [But] I was never a big fan of the United States in that sense."
He continued, "I always felt, in the '90s when I grew up, America got glorified in movies and on TV. Then you'd go there the first time and you'd be like, 'What's going on?' I think it would be more helpful if I brought some of my culture there!"
Despite the negative experience at the Survivor Series, WALTER is open to a possible surprise appearance in Sunday's 30-Man Royal Rumble Match.
"I legit don't know," he said when asked about a possible Rumble spot. "I would love – Royal Rumble, I think it's a different case. You're not in there with a group of people you don't really know, but you have to be in a team with them. In the Royal Rumble, it's a lot of people but it's every man for himself."
While he has reservations about working weekly on the main brands, WALTER feels good about being able to reach a deal with WWE, and said he's happy in the company.
"If they would've said, 'no we can't do it', I would've agreed and understood why. There would have been other ways for me to find a place to work. I'm happy it worked out though. I'm happy in WWE – I feel very comfortable," WALTER said.

Eric Young On How TNA Used To Be A Legitimate Alternative To WWE

Eric Young grew up a pro wrestling fan and has been in the industry for over 20 years. While speaking with NewsChannel 5, he talked about how he got to fulfill a dream with TNA.
"Pro wrestling is all that I've wanted to do since I was five years old," Young said. "My first and only goal in wrestling was to sign a contract to say, 'this is what I do for a living.' I don't have another job on the side. I pay my bills, and live a decent life through wrestling. In 2004, that became a reality for me, and TNA was the reason for that."
Young also talked about his unique career in TNA and how it opened up other opportunities outside of wrestling.
Young was asked about the similarities between Vince McMahon and Dixie Carter, and he praises McMahon for growing WWE into a multi-billion dollar business.
"The similarities is that wrestling, at all levels, has all of the same problems, they're just at a different scale. [They're] two professionals. [The] two [have] very different views on business, very different views on wrestling," Young said. "Vince McMahon, if you're asking my opinion, is a genius. He invented network television, how we know it. He was ahead of the curve on how television was going to be consumed in the next five years by having the WWE [Network] for $9. He went from a $750-800 million business to a $2.9 billion business. He did that in a year. Who grows a company like that? Nobody and that's just for the rights to air his television shows. That's not including digital content [and] merchandising. T-shirt sales alone, I don't think there's another media business that sells as many t-shirts as WWE."
Young talked about how TNA was more of an alternative to WWE rather than serious competition. He also pointed out how AJ Styles was made popular thanks to TNA.
"When I was in TNA, there was a point where it was a legitimate alternative. There was a place that guys could go. Guys could make a very good living. If you were a fan, and you were tired of this, you could go see this. If you didn't like this, then you could switch back over to this. There was never a point where it was a competition. We were never competing with the WWE. We were definitely an alternative, but there was never a competition," Young said.
"We were playing the same game. We're doing the same things. They were the Yankees. We were the Nashville Sounds. Nashville Sounds are fun. It's still professional baseball. Some of those guys are just as good as some guys in the majors, but they don't have that one-way contract yet. That's what it was. Look at the WWE roster now. 10 of the top 20 guys worked with me. In my opinion, right now, AJ Styles is the best in-ring performer there is. He's been that for a long time. Well, he was put on the map and discovered by TNA wrestling, and he would say that too."
