Most people insist on saying Ron Simmons was the first black world heavyweight champion, but yet when I show this this? They always back peddle with excuses. Sorry but truth hurts, Iceman WAS the first black world champion. Too bad the 'marks' don't have what it takes to accept that fact.

FINALLY someone says it. Dave Meltzer, Wade Keller, Bruce Mitchell and other journalists always claimed that the World Class title was never recognized as a 'real' world title. It was in magazines and to fans like me who grew up on Dallas wrestling, it was. I remember seeing when Iceman beat Kerry, Lights out and everything but he still won and is the first black wrestler to hold a world title. Thank you for pointing this out.
