Chris Candido and AJ Styles had a great 5 minute television match on TNA Impact in January 2005 but many do not realize their first singles match actually took place in October 2004 in Indiana for IWA Mid-South.
IWA Mid-South was known for its King of the Deathmatch and other deathmatch tournaments as well as the Ted Petty Invitational and Revolution Strong Style tournaments. The promoter was ECW original, Ian Rotten and the promotion had its share of problems over the last 20 years. Despite the problems and controversy, IWA-MS was still home to many rising stars that would end up becoming the future of pro wrestling including CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Jon Moxley, Ricochet, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens.
This match featured TNA Superstar AJ Styles taking on Chris Candido in a 15 minute long back and forth battle.
