I've known Matt Bloom since he was first starting out back in 1997 working for Sylvano Sousa's Atlantic Wrestling Federation, (after going to Walter 'Killer' Kowalski's school), wrestling in front of 100 people in Manchester, NH (then later on working for Fred Sparta's WWA New England where he eventually got his contract with the WWF/E). He even appeared on three shows I locally promoted in NH for WWA New England.
He went thru the WWF/E's then training dojo which was run by Dory Funk Jr, along with Bruce and Tom Prichard. He was a student of the business and was trained by the very people who were also students of the business. If you couldn't learn from Kowalski, Sousa, Funk and Prichard.. Then something's really wrong with you.
I've watched how he went from New England indies to being Baldo in Memphis, then Prince Albert in WWE, to Giant Bernard in NJPW. Totally remarkable and i can see why Dax thinks so highly of Matt Bloom.
