In addition to America, Ultimo worked for Italy based promotion, Nu Wrestling Evolution that ran many events in Europe including Italy, Switzerland, Spain, and France.

It was at an NWE event where Ultimo Dragon fulfilled an indy dream match when he wrestled Low-Ki. At this point, Low-Ki was one of the top indy talents in wrestling. He was a regular in JAPW, ROH, IWC, as well as NOAH in Japan.
